Hello! I love your art and wanted first to thank and compliment you for it then to ask you a thing about the references you used for your last Holmes and Watson art. Apart that they'er both beautiful men, Holmes' physique resembles to my eyes a lot Jeremy Brett's, exp in this one photo of his. (Warning, it might require sunglasses)
I wanted to ask you if you happened to take him as a reference for Holmes and David Burke for Watson.

hiya! thank you so much for your compliments, i’m very happy to hear you enjoyed the drawing!
i tend to take general influence from jeremy brett, david burke, and edward hardwicke in my victorian designs of holmes and watson, though incorporate my own headcanons as well, so they’re not entirely faithful (i ought to make more proper granada fanart though haha)
for the drawing you’re talking about in particular, i also drew inspiration from peter cushing’s portrayal of holmes as a small experiment (since i do so often find myself only looking to brett for inspiration, seeing as he’s my favourite holmes)! i believe that may be most visible in the hair.
when it comes to their physiques, i haven’t looked at body references of any actors in particular, just a few models for anatomical purposes. i am honoured that you thought it accurately resembled brett though—one can only be pleased when positive comparisons are made to jeremy brett.

Hi! sorry to disturb you, i saw your 1953 richelieu gifset and i wanted to ask you if you knew where i can find the 1953 movie in color (i found the italian version in black and white but it's not the same of that vibrant blood red)
No worries! Some time ago I found it in French on a website called ok.ru (ironic because I can't speak French or Russian, so there's that) and made screen recordings whenever Richelieu happened to be on screen.
I tried to find the movie again, but it looks like the video has been taken down because of copyright issues. I'm quite sad about it.

fight aliens with: feanor! originally i was going to say fingolfin before deciding feanor would with all the Inventor Smarts would make some gadgets that'd be absolutely insane but work REALLY well and look REALLY cool. [also feanor’s reactions to the aliens would be extremely entertaining, i think.]
fight zombies with: fingolfin because fire is a valid weakness on zombies and he probably wouldn't go overboard with the arson unlike some smiths we all know. [also he's fought morgoth. zombies are nothing.]
fight capitalism with: finarfin! from having dealt with all the bureaucratic bs the noldor surely kept throwing at him during the first & second ages, he definitely needs a good stress outlet :) he would also probably tolerate me the most out of the three of them

3 ships: uhhhhhh dang i dont really ship so much just have opinions on what canon is doing soo uh gwynplaine+dea [the blueprint the icon the everything] higgs+zeetha [jock4jock] and how could i forget grimaud+milady everyone should ship grimmilady [it came to me in a dream and its such a concept]

And here we are!
I don't drink, i've never got drunk in my life and i don't plan to. But i've witnessed friends of mine being drunk (and drunkenly confessing things, but that's a long story), and i though i needed to get our gentlemen drunk!
There's one headcanon particularly dear to me in this story, and it's about the irregulars aadn, i hope you like it!

I think of myself as a practical woman. I am proud to say that I have always been able to manage my household in the most efficient manner, purchasing only what is of good quality without requiring any unnecessary expenses. I have one possession, however, that is an exception to that rule. This is the story of how not only one but two of my tenants returned to Baker Street, and how I came to own one of London’s finest tea services as a result.

There's this scene in the Bert Coules radio production of The Boscombe Valley Mystery where the client's father, a man with a villainous past who has been being blackmailed for the last 40 years and killed his blackmailer is basically thanking Holmes for letting him free and he says "If you ever find yourself in a position where you have a chance to take one life and protect everything you hold dear... Well, I hope you never have to make such a choice",
and that's such a GREAT echo of the choice Holmes ultimately has to and DOES make in FINA. Like, self defense or not, Holmes *did* directly and intentionally kill someone, and if it weren't for the fact that he was 1.) Presumed dead 2.) Committed this crime in another country and 3.) Had a lot of powerful friends, I think the police would have more to say on that.
Everyone talks about the Trauma of disappearing for three years, of abandoning Watson and all his friends and ties in London, but I would really like to see an exploration of how Holmes felt about taking a life, with his own two hands, with intentionality and some amount of premeditation. He even says in EMPT that when he was climbing up the cliffs at Reichenbach he imagined/hallucinated that he could still hear Moriarty screaming up at him, a flight of fancy so insanely antithetical to Mr. Sherlock "Stop Writing in a Bunch of Romantic Rubbish" and "This agency must stand with two feet flat on the ground" Holmes that it's CRAZY to me that no one really talks about it
Yes, Moriarty was a villain, and a long-time target of Holmes, but I think there's still something to be said about that.
It kind of reminds me of "The Most Dangerous Game", where the whole theme is like...how much can you take before you reject the laws and norms of society and return to a beast to survive. In the end, Holmes *didn't* get rid of Moriarty through his wits, or his knowledge of former criminal cases, or through deductive reasoning. He killed him with his own two hands and barely survived
