[Ever since the terrifying and unexpected Battle of New York, questions have arisen about the team dynamics of the newly-formed Avengers. Despite leadership under America's sweetheart, Steve Rogers, reports have suggested that the team isn't cooperating with each other nearly as well off the battlefield as on.

Sources attending Saturday's charity fundraiser, hosted at Stark Tower, have revealed that tensions were high between teammates Iron Man and Captain America, resulting in a disastrous argument that threatened the rest of the evening's festivities as well as their chances of collecting enough funds to cover the post-Battle clean-up and repairs to the city.

Multiple witnesses stated that interactions between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark had been marked with hostility for the duration of the event, culminating in the pair eventually getting physical with each other and knocking over the $10,000 custom cake designed and ordered by Ms. Pepper Potts to celebrate the Avengers' victory over the Chitauri.

This is certainly not the first time that Stark has caused a scene at a black-tie event, and while his drunk and disorderly antics are, at this point, expected, it is surprising to note that Rogers had allegedly contributed as much to the fight himself. America's golden boy was seen pushing and shoving Stark moments before they both tumbled into the buffet table. Not only was the celebratory cake ruined, but two bottles of champagne, a chocolate fountain, and multiple platters of hors d'oeuvres had fallen alongside them.

As Rogers is the only Avenger to have officially moved into Stark Tower as of yet, their clashing personalities are bound to make living arrangements interesting. It is unclear, however, what the future of the team will look like, especially with Rogers and Stark reportedly disagreeing on leadership styles, but one thing seems certain: if they are ever going to win another battle, they first need to stop fighting each other.]

the number of posts that go around the batfandom that can basically be boiled down to "people aren't writing about the character I want them to write about so I'm gonna shame them"

when you first started shipping stony and why:

I remember coming into the mcu fandom after catws, so the first movie I actually saw steve and tony in together was aou - which, honestly, for all that can be said about that movie, it did give us some great stevetony moments! the scenes at clint’s farmhouse in particular stood out to me, and that’s what inspired me to write my first stevetony fic ever (which I will sneakily link here!)

why do you love steve rogers:

steve!! he was really the first mcu character that I fell in love with – he’s sweet and kind, but also fierce and brave, and he just has so much heart. like erskine said, he's a good man – but he’s also a good leader, a good friend, a good tactician, a good hero… he just has a lot of goodness in him.

plus, we get to see so many different sides to him (sweet and awkward steve, lost and depressed steve, competent badass steve, etc) which makes him extra fun to play around with!

three stony fics you read recently and why you enjoyed them:

annex 11 by soliloquent // @soliloquent-stark

this fic is so creative, so clever, and so well-written! it’s such a cool new take on the typical mission fic, being written in the form of a SHIELD report, and the dialogue (and miscommunication) between steve and tony is so true to their characters. it's short and sweet and such a fun read!

cliffhanger by sineala // @sineala

the suspense, the hurt/comfort, the absolute trust between steve and tony… this is so well-executed, the build-up of tension kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! another short fic, but it really packs a punch!

powerless by mireille

I absolutely adore de-serumed steve fics, and this one has the perfect combination of feels and fluff! steve’s insecurity shines through so well, and so does tony’s thoughtfulness and worry and care as he tries to help him with the situation. I just love the comfort and tenderness between the two of them!

abba slipping through my fingers is SOOO norway & iceland i just have to sit and stare at the wall when i put it on.

i imagine that iceland was still quite young when norway had to go live with sweden, so he was very used to doting on ice as his older brother. he simply enjoys being a big brother and having a little sibling to look after. then fast forward to the 20th century, they've already grown a bit distant from spending so much time apart. ice has grown considerably, maybe now a young teenager. but nor still sees him as the kid he's always known and treats him as such, blind to how much he's changed. they can't understand each other: norway's overbearingness and iceland's general teenage moodiness drive them further apart. i think for a little while they would have been the most distant of the nordics, and that really just eats away at norway because he can't understand why.
