Beth Washington
She likes instruments and can play quite a few different ones. (I feel like I saw a hc somewhere abt her playing guitar? It stuck with me).
She also plays some sports, but not as much as Hannah.
She was actually quite popular in school (based off her relationship stat with Jess being reasonably high).

Her 'role' in the group very much seems to be sort of like Sam's in that she's often trying to prevent trouble.
She's constantly looking out for her siblings, especially when they're in a big social situation like a party.

She's usually quite laid-back, but when she gets annoyed she's immediately furious. 0-100 real quick.
Hannah Washington
She likes insects a lot. Especially butterflies.
She can and will pick up spiders in her hands she literally does not fear any kind of bug or creepy crawlies.
She's quite artsy.
She's quite strong bc of all the sports she does. She, Sam and Matt often enough end up in weird little competitions and go on runs/hikes etc.
She was sort of the weird kid in most her classes, but wasn't often made fun of because of the people she was friends with and her siblings.
She's generally always a little caught up in her own daydreams.
She's trans.
She's neurodivergent. Idk what specifically but she is nd to me.
She's bi but it would take her forever to realise that.

He's very into art and drama, especially horror of course.
He hangs out with Ashley and she helps him write scripts, while he draws things from her writing for her.
Despite this he is very jumpy and easily scared.
Because their parents are often super busy he very much took on the whole big-sibling caretaker role.
He's popular despite being really quiet and somewhat anti-social. He's the kind of guy who disappears off of any social media for weeks and is very difficult to get into contact with.
He likes playing pranks and jokes, but only when they're somewhat thought out. Like he isn't just going to jump out from behind a door and yell it's gotta be way more interesting.
He's trans (I don't have a specific hc for him I stick to I just know he's very genderfucky).
He's queer.
He hates Hannah's bugs and complains all the time about them but he'd never actually do anything to hurt them or upset Hannah.
He's quite pessimistic, sort of the opposite of Hannah. He's very paranoid of others and their intentions, and he often isolates himself because of that. This has a lot to do with his mental health though, he doesn't actually like being alone.

he's around 30 give or take (nobody knows for sure since he was artificially made) and he has 6 fingers, 4 eyes, point ears, and a few other features :3 he's a cis bi guy and yeah. stoner and stupid. very prone to saying dumbass shit & completely missing social norms because he's so used to literally being in a lab. but he's trying cooper's overall a really sweet dude and he's very affectionate - i think of him as a big lazy dog. he's not quick at all to anger or anything but he's defensive when need be but tends to just Hang About. hes my baba and i love him ok. he's kind of a piece of shit stoner and all that but who's counting. he's friendly enough and very sillay to me

Were the other collectors the one who put our Collector in a bubble? A time-out prison for misbehaving. It would make sense why no one was searching for them. They know where he is, he is punished. (because how else to deal with an nd kid that causes trouble? lock them away. again, parallel to Luz’s camp-prison for nd kids)
But then our Collector says it was King’s dad.
It’s just. It feels like the right side is about his kind and the left side is about titans. I don’t knoooow.

And the whole collectors/humen killing titans/witches), hiding them in a place they can’t reach? Would make sense if collectors can’t travel between worlds, they were never in human realm. Also would make sense if Collector trusted BI and thought he betrayed them, Collector counts himself in in that rhyme about being deceived. even if it’s not true for both him and Belos.
On one hand that would be nice for extra angst, but on the other I don’t like making dead parents/relatives too good, but Collector DID like titans. Would play nicely with Luz’s parallel, how she as a human fits better with witches.
I can sacrifice the theme of the never ending cycle of violence, since here it is less about two sides fighting and more about one side defending.

AMY: has some form of abandonment issues which is what makes her as clingy as she is. generally used to feel left out and misunderstood from sonic n others in games like adventure and adventure2 but their relationshipsget better. listen. listen i heard someone on tumblr hc amy having abandonment issues and it hasnt left my miind since. she used to feel embarrassed by herself and her personality but became much more expressive of herself as time went on bc she starrted feeling more accepted. I think the M9 are just one big nd queer friend group (yes this is because irl me and my best friends make a purely ND + queer friend group) and I love thinking of how they would adjust to the comfort of that over time. Like leaving stim toys out to share (I think jester would have a big horde to share), using each other to casually pressure stim, automatically adjusting for each other's sensory issues and stuff. I also think they would all know sign language, I hc Molly would have learned and then taught yasha (who totally goes nonverbal), and beau and Caleb would have learned on their own (Caleb because he's autistic like yasha and beau because she wants to understand her loved ones). I think cad would have invented a different basic sign language with his siblings or something....sibling bond you know? I see cad, Caleb and Yasha as like. The super autistic trio. Caleb got diagnosed young and taught them about it and cad is like oh there's a name for that in my family nobody questions it....*goes back to organizing tea* and Yasha would be like. Oh I'm not a freak for that I thought I was just clinically weird....*goes and sits in a corner and doesn't say anything for 3 days*. Jester and fjord are absolutely an adhd t4t bi couple I don't think that needs an explanation. Beau is adhd too for sure and maybe also autistic. Veth and Molly idk I could see veth as any combo and Molly is. Molly. Maybe the token nt idk lol I was never that attached to his character lol. Ok that's it for now but I literally think of nd m9 all the time like every day, campaign 2 is my second biggest spin so these are my favorite headcanons to read and think about 🙂
wa yea,, tmn totally are queer + nd friendgroup solidarity. also i think they'd share some stimtoys, but also have their own too, like jester (token rich friend) buys them cool ones, colour coordinated and everythign :-3 she bought cad a chewy necklace thats purple n a gemstone like the amethyst on his staff and he thinks its so epic cool, now his hair doesnt get crunchy from chewing, and his sleeves dont get weird-smelling.
also ye!!! they all sign for sure. theres a bit of a mix-up in the beginning tho because some of them only know certain signing, especially cad.. his family use their own one based on sylvan signing (headcanon they speak sylvan at home too, and giant, then common after those two) and things made up by him and his siblings too. caleb probably knew a zemnian version of signing but its similar enough to wildemount common signing that its ok, plus he's good at memorising and learning the new things anyway. him and beau also end up learning sylvan signing to help communicate with cad if he cant talk and sounds are too much.
also for sure think molly n yasha have some signing variation they used, though maybe they made it up together, especially when molly showed up and couldn't speak yet. and it just went on from there and ended up being very useful. also i think molly goes between not being able to speak and speakign 100mph, like often its one or the other lol. (headcanon molly had the fantasy magic version of a traumatic brain injury, caused by souls leaving and being dead and things. fantasy magic, astral sea, brain attacking, things)
also agree abt caleb having known he's autistic for a loooong while, diagnosed as a kid because he arranged everything into rows and only wanted to read like 1 book over and over and hid from noises. yasha definitly just went through life thinking she's weird,, i mean, canon. lol. and ye!! thats a cooll idea abt cads family having a name for it.. he's like, oh, this is [word for it in sylvan or somthing], me and belle and my mam are it (probably more or all of th clays but ,thats jsut an example).

Do you hate Sparklecare?
Absolutely not, if I hated it i wouldn’t have made this blog. I just think the fandom is god-awful and that the comic has so much wasted potential. I still regularly keep up with the comic’s updates, follow the blog (alongside the blogs for Kittycorn’s other various projects), and enjoy making fanstuff for it. I am heavily critical of all my interests, especially indie projects since I KNOW those ones don’t have to go through censors and shit.

Thoughts on the preboot?
It’s way funnier and way less “clean”, I’ll give it that. However, the reboot does a better attempt when it comes to characters, keyword attempt. I still miss Knot though.
Favorite character?
If I said my actual fave, I’d be given away. However, I love the side patients/side characters in general.
Least favorite character?
Uni. She’s treated by the fandom like she can do no wrong, and it feels like people only draw her. Because of this it sorta ruined her for me as a character. Sorry Uni.
Favorite ship?
Honest to god I see good chemistry/potential in all of them. I’ve never really been interested in Sparklecare shipping on its own but I enjoy doing it to analyze the characters and whatever the fuck
Least favorite ship?
Barruni. It’s the only one I see 0 chemistry or interest in, sorry. No hate to anyone who does ship it though!!
What about Cuddles?
Cuddles doesn’t feel like a character to me. He’s not interesting enough for me to hate that much. I don’t like him either, by any stretch of the imagination. I just forget he exists.
What do the tags mean?
“Fandom bitching” is for bitching about the fandom, “reboot bitching” is for bitching about the reboot, “comet bitching” is for any bitching regarding the Cometcare AU askblog, which will probably be few and far between let’s be real here, and “preboot bitching” is for bitching about the preboot because I WILL criticize the preboot as well. All criticisms/bitching will be tagged “sparklecriticism”. “Not bitching” is for general posts, and “Polly speaks” is for general posts from Polly. “Sparkleposting” is about my general, standard Sparklecare posts, usually regarding the version of it that exists in my brain. Well I don't think people ship Sasha and Quinni after the whole bookstore situation anymore, or at least I hope so. In the beginning I thought they were cute but then as the series progressed I was like okay this isn't it and I was also thinking about r*nance lol.
And before people complain about Steve being bitchy as well, the difference is yeah he can be annoyed but he would never intentionally make the other person feel bad. Throughout the series, it's shown how much he cares about others and tries to be a better person, unlike Nancy, who is still mostly the same since s1. Robin is comfortable around Steve. She can rant without him rolling his eyes constantly, and he would immediately apologize when he hurt her feelings.
What pisses me off the most about r*nance is that Robin is clearly used to only better Nancy, like she has to fill the void Barb left or she's there to let Nancy explore her sexuality (imo she's like the straightest girl alive but I digress). When you go through the Robin tag, it's all about Nancy, not even about her own character. Her love interest gets ignored or made into a villian caricature, even though canonically Vickie is the one showing interest in Robin, unlike Nancy, who's again emotionally cheating on her bf, this time with her ex. Also, it's kinda annoying that as soon as a lesbian interacts with another girl, they automatically have to be in love, that they are incapable of having female friends. Stop shipping lesbians with straight girls and stop shipping autistic people with people who can't handle their neurodivergence 2023.

you bring up an excellent point about the issues with making a lesbian character have to be with any pretty girl she stands next to, which is super common in fandom spaces and like. needs to stop yesterday. it’s annoying for one, but more importantly, it feeds into this gross idea of a “predatory lesbian.” like she can’t just have friends, there has to be underlying sexual tension with any girl she comes within a 50 foot radius of.
there’s also this way that people ignore canonically bi characters (vickie, which is confirmed through her actress) and try to villainize them for straight up no reason. i don’t think people have to ship robin and vickie at all. i do, but obviously shipping is up to an individual. i also don’t think people even have to like vickie!
the problem here, at least for me, is that she exhibits the exact same autistic traits (info dumping, lack of social filter) that robin does (and canonically feels insecure about!!) and instead of letting robin have a nd love interest, people are like…. no…. i think i’ll make her be with a straight girl who doesn’t even like her. n*ncy definitely mistreats robin until she finds out that steve and robin aren’t dating and even after that, is annoyed by her until she shows that she is smart and useful.
tl;dr: absolutely. let’s leave behind shipping lesbians with straight girls, nd characters with characters who treat them like a chore AND media illiteracy. (also not treating nd people like they’re inherently useless would be cool too)

Personality:
Friendly and polite, he’s a bit timid but does his best to be assertive as well. He often tries to avoid violence as a solution for things, though he also isn’t against such methods if it really calls for it. He’s eager to learn new things, considering he was home schooled most of his educated life and is all but uncultured when it comes to thigs anyone his age do or say. He can become easily bashful or embarrassed by anything or anyone who’s blunt and straightforward, though he’s slowly getting out of that habit. Laid back, he’s easy to get along with and likes the idea of making new friends. He can be naive at times.
Appearance:
Lanky frame but surprisingly somewhat muscular due to his work and job at a car shop. Dark brown hair that he keeps loose nd styled short, mainly due to his parents’ wish than anything else. Steel grey eyes, and wears this framed glasses. He often wears fitted shirts and sweaters with slacks and sneakers- yet another choice from his parents than himself. When on his own, he likes looser tees and baggy jeans, though still keeps it all neat and clean. The older he gets and the further away he gets from his parents, he starts to lean more toward a casual punk type looks- even adding a few piercings and a small tattoo here and there.
Background:
Born as an only child to parents who kept a very strict hold on him until his third year of high school- he had all but begged them to let him attend a public school rather than home school him the entire time. His father owns and works at an auto repair shop that the family lives above and he worked there from the age of 13, when his father began teaching him the ins and outs of auto repairs and the like.
Once Aaron enrolled in a public school, it was quickly spread that he had been home schooled until recently, and that naturally caused many of his schoolmates to begin bullying him. They often pushed him around, calling him weak and stupid for his home schooled life, but he did nothing to stop them, naively hoping and believing that they would just stop eventually if he didn’t give into their bullying.
After finishing high school, he finally came to terms that the home life he’d had with his strict and controlling parents no longer worked for him. He took all the money he had saved up over the years and used it all to find himself an apartment away from his parents, able to find a new job for himself as well. He began to work in another mechanic repair shop in town, using his skills from his father’s shop to good use for such a well-paying job that allowed him more freedom and to keep affording his new place. In addition, Aaron made plans to get more schooling to get further into the auto repair business even more, so he applied for various mechanical schools, managing to be accepted into one.
