self promoting my doodle tag (art.sey) to reminisce all the doodles i did when i started digital art haha
just a quick notice since i feel bad holding a milestone 6fanarts event then proceeds to be semi inactive here and just reblog my queued posts.
the main reason is because my hands are failing me once again. i've been on medication for the last 3 months due to my carpal tunnel syndrome on both hands and recently i thought i could continue doing what i used to do (ofc i stopped doing strenuous stuff) but lately holding a pen for more than 15 minutes hurts my hand so much to the point that even my entire arm would feel numb due to pain. even holding spoon and fork while eating is really taxing and gives me so much discomfort.
hopefully, i can continue drawing even though im just starting to find my own style in using digital art 😔 my doctor says i need to take good care of my hands and rest. rest and rest. so no more drawing nor playing genshin for me as well for the time being ಥ‿ಥ good thing my brother liked the game so now he's taking good care of my daily coms haha
also pls dont mind me posting screenshots of hot male manhwa/webtoon characters since ive been obsessed ever since i stopped playing genshin for awhile 😭
n e ways i hope everyone is doing good! been seeing some of the blogs i follow also took some semi hiatus status (´ . .̫ . `) so yeah if you're reading this thank you for being curious and listening? (reading) me vent for a little hehe

omg wait you play cookie run kingdom??? how far have you progressed im curious :0
ok but just know i impulsively picked up the game a little bit before the christmas update (i checked i started playing on 24/10/2021) and stopped at the end of the year (around 21/12/2021), so all the progress i have are spedran during those 2 months lol
screenshots below
heres screenshots i took just now because i redownloaded the game just to look at my progress haha!! i might pick up the game again 😬 (there r so many updates…!!)
hollyberry server btw
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
mightve been only for a little while that i played but it was a dedicated 2 months lol!! im the type of person to look up guides and tier lists and take lots of notes… both here in crk and genshin i literally. play videos on my ipad as i furiously jot down notes on my phone like fr here are some screenshots (um my notes are prolly outdated
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
also worth noting that the reason i stopped is because i started playing genshin again…! i am chronically unable to focus on more than one game at once OTL. ive been playing genshin since 1.1 and i take breaks from the game frequently because im smart like that, but i still have the urge to play games so i spend those breaks looking for other games to play, in which this case was crk :D
my main game is still genshin so when i went back i stopped crk too my brain just cannot focus on more than one thing at once for whatever reason orz
what can i say!! if i decide to focus on it i want to invest all my time and effort into it and all my brainpower is used up on that one singular thing 🗿
wow i went on a whole tangent there i hate how i just dont stop talking once i start hardcore judging myself rn

// WOOOOAH TYSM FOR ALL THE QUESTIONS
1. No. We’re just friends.
5. I don’t have a crush currently… unfortunately. But the people I have hung out with most recently I enjoy being around. They’re very kind to me.
6. I have an anime figure I pre-ordered in May that’s supposed to come this month. Also I’m working on a Halloween costume but I’m more nervous than excited for that.
7. I played Genshin, and watched a Thai drama with my roomate.
15. … *sobs* Never been kissed.
17. Honestly… no one. I’ve never felt comfortable enough around anything to literally talk about anything. Maybe my roomates from two years ago. I still talk to them and visit. Also my stuffed animals haha… I talk to them/myself a lot.
24. To be a kid again. I have so many responsibilities and things to do now. It’s scary, tiring, and I’ve never been as sad/depressed as I am now. I know that’s really down in the dumps, but it’s also a reason I haven’t been that active.
28. The Thai drama I watched with my roomate.
32. It’s a celebrity. So no.
36. *cries harder*
37. Depends. I absolutely believe people can fall in love and be married for years, however love at first sight is like- complicated in my opinion and I don’t want to go into all that detail here.
38. 911. I know that’s like crazy- but I called because my roomate and I heard someone scream outside our building. It was very scary.
39. My cousin. At a club. (That was my first time going!!!)
40. WHHHHYHGYHGGAGSVHHHHHHH
43. OMG YES.
45. 🥲
47. 911. They called me back to update me. Lol.
51. Oh dang- I don’t know… I think at a wedding over the summer.
70. Nope! Anything works. As long as they’re employed. That’s a must. I wouldn’t mind a rich man tho-
77. With fictional characters. Yes. Ive never been in love love in real life.
82. Snickerdoodle or double chocolate.
91. Living room. It’s such a cozy feeling. Or a study if it’s like- a mansion.

YES OMG THE POISONED DREAMS SERIES (from what ive read so far) IS SO SCRUMPTIOUS - the print copies have art in them and im just so obsessed teehee . summers fic and MA over the past few months have been the things i looked forward to in the then - futures . cova is srsly taking all of our hearts hostage w that blessed fic LOL its also real fun that the reader in fic has a hydro vision (this doesnt count as spoilers right ?) because ive always personally envisioned (haha) myself with one too . cova also has other works w alhaitham in it that are like kinda sorta connected to summers fic , my favorite being this one , i love the fic description LMAO
dude ive done so much random bullshit because i used to have SO MUCH extra free time on my hands ??? and , honestly dude ive really been wanting to get back into writing on a regular basis but i have such terrible commitment issues with my personal projects its insane . also if you dont mind could you share some of your a/n that you find particularly silly ? i honestly live for memey authors notes
ive also taken that quiz ! multiple times actually (and many others) LMFAO , it was a different answer every time but its mainly a tie between ei and albedo . which is . heavily ironic . because all my close friends call me a scara kinnie which is like . ah yes another artificial human and then throw a creator of one at me like ??????? atp ive just come to embrace that i might be a little artificially flavored in the brain (/hj) . ive also been called a cyno kinnie sometimes because of the terrible puns i make (they laugh anyways though so i mean ..) anyways yeah so if you wanna assign me a genshin character too feel free to i guess , its honestly fun for me to see people assign me a genshin character they think im similar to .
heres …. a spoon i accidentally drew while trying to draw a fish

i've only read the summers fic until chap 4 (currently reading chapter 5) and it's so good. the mc and alhaitham's dynamic is so funny HAHA i keep laughing every time they have their stupid banters especially in the middle of fighting/interrogating people.
mc having a hydro vision is actually so nice too!! in chapter 4 at the part where they were sitting by the water and mc was playing around with the water by morphing them into dolphins and such was a nice addition to them. having a hydro vision sounds so fun and honestly i kinda want it too now LMAO
i'll also be sure to check out the other fic you've linked! cova's work with the summers fic is truly good and they're hella good at writing, so i'm not gonna miss the chance to not read their other works 🥹
and wow!!! i think you'll do a great job at writing again, and if you ever decide to get back to it, i would drop everything to read your work. no really, you're good at drawing, you make poems, you like solving out stuff, you make your own games— what can't you do???? you have such amazing skills and talents, i'd drop on my knees to see more of your work 😵‍💫
i won't deny that writing is such a big commitment and it takes such a huge effort to get back on your feet, and that's okay!! i think it's really neat that you have your own personal projects, i would say that's a total win!!!! hehe
google docs has this section where it lets you add comments in the words you've highlighted and i took every opportunity to make the silliest ones in some lines i've written for ma (would we consider this as proper annotations? i don't think i would...), here are some of them
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i like adding my own author comments in my google docs because personally— it feels like a wattpad comment section, except that it's only visible to you, y'know? pretty silly, exactly, but i like annotating my own work for some reason... i think i'm just hella weird
i kinda see how you'd be an albedo kinnie, actually. well, one, you're pretty artistic, but also, i have a feeling you're kind of a quiet and reserved person irl. i hope i'm not wrong because then i'd be a total fool HAHAHA but anyways... hm... cyno kinnie... you know i can't disagree to that when you've already slipped in a pun on your first paragraph 😔 ngl i giggled when i first read it so... another win for you?
thank you for the spoon jellyfish haha it's so silly that it made my day 😭

Hello? I uh, I’m a bit new here
I just want to say a few things, firstly, if it seems like someone is liberally reblogging all manner of fics, that’s probably me. Sorry if that ends up being annoying to anyone (I just like to devour content I’m very sorry)
Also I find the self aware genshin au super interesting! Especially since it melds so nicely with a multi fandom project ive been working on for so long it’s almost as if it was right here waiting for me (how fitting)(I also have a few headcannons I could share if you’re interested👉👈)
Thirdly, I’m a bit exasperated but the fact that nothing I own can even play genshin anyways, I tried on my tablet, didnt have enough room, it’s downloading excruciatingly slowly and crashing constantly on the “borrowed” chrome book I have and it’s not out for switch which is the only console that I own QuQ there isn’t even any news on when it would be released and I’m mildly dying inside from not even being able to play the game and meet all of the wonderful characters I’m reading about
(Au of an au where everything is sad bc you can’t even play the game)
Alright, that’s all from me for now, stay safe 🥰
Haha, don’t worry ^_^ People interacting with me at all is really nice! So i don’t mind at all.
And yes! The SAGAU is so interesting and as someone who’s always been keen on the whole fourth wall/sentient aspect of media when I found this AU I had to make a blog and write for it immediately. I’d also love to hear your takes and hc’s on it! It’s so fun to see how people interact and mold the concept, so if you want my asks are always open :)
And oh my god… I had the same issue for literally a whole year with Genshin TT I kept wanting to play but my computer/phone couldn’t handle it until I got a new one a month or so ago :’) It was definitely worth the wait and I hope you’re able to get a device that can handle it soon ^_^
And that AU where you can’t even play the game would be devastating to them, they’d be in a constant feeling of utter despair waiting until you finally arrived… don’t be surprised if some tears are shed during your arrival!

i actually decided to take the day off for myself to recuperate... or well, half day more accurate and that was really fun ! i winded up editing like 8 different fics, some of which i had compleeeetely forgotten about, which is something i feel like ive been missing the past few months haha shortly after that i felt more like myself than ive felt in a little while. i also winded up playing a bit of genshin while watching a movie and watched a bit of critrole too ! alksf even now im bout to chill for the rest of the night just deepdiving into genshin lore again so yeah. def back to my usual schedule lol
i've only got two more days, tomorrow being a pretty hefty schedule, but i'm real excited bc i got a text from a friend that i thought got held back bc i haven't seen him since UH december and he was like "hey!!! omg we're in the same small group discussion!!!" and i went ?!?!?!? WE ARE??? HOLY SHIT! so thats something looking forward to alskfa i'm just hoping that i don't come off as. annoying. bc i know i can be. a bit annoying. esp when i'm kinda hyper orz
alsdkfha sorry i didn't mean to write such a lengthy update x - x but i hope that things are alright with you anon and please know that i really appreciate you coming around 🍀

act IV
Genshin Impact | TartaLi/ZhongChi
Summary: It was the way Zhongli’s warm amber eyes suddenly were not as warm anymore. The way he looked at him with a piercing look, void of remorse, as he handed his gnosis over willingly to go on a whole tangent about how his “duties were done”. It was the way he turned and treated the precious traveler with the same amount of kindness and gentleness the Childe had received the previous night, with such ease; it was a look he thought was reserved only for him. It was the way he was able to turn back around, stare at Childe with an unreadable gaze, and walk away without so much of a goodbye.
Or, Zhongli and Childe finally have the conversation that was long overdue.
A/N: I’ve been playing genshin for roughly four or five months now, I can’t remember exactly when I started, but boy do I love it. No you don’t understand, I’m obsessed. But these two have been taking up room in my big brain, so I wanted to write for them. It’s been awhile since I wrote for pleasure so hopefully this is satisfactory :,) and tomorrow, I’m back to school, so I thought I’d enjoy my last day of freedom and post this today. Fun fact, I’m minoring in professional writing, so I’m hoping that it’ll improve my writing skills when I write for luxury, too. Anyway, this was a really fun piece for me to write and I hope you share the sentiment.
Also thank you guys for being so patient with our inactivity and just being such a chill audience to write for. Other social media platforms have become so...demanding haha. I appreciate y’all! Feel free to message us or talk to us about whatever :) -u.n.
Find this on AO3!
Spoiler alert: this fic does contain spoilers for the A New Star Approaches arc, so read at your own risk.
In Childe’s line of work, he is no stranger to betrayal.
Working as a Fatui Harbinger meant an unhealthy amount of fighting, betraying one person, deceiving another, and then on occasion, getting betrayed himself. It was all in a days’ work. Childe knew he would just have to roll out his neck and move on. He’s done it before, he can do it again. He would think that, after nineteen years of this grueling rinse and repeat, that he’d be able to tolerate a lot in the field. In fact, working with that wretched colleague of his, Scaramouche, and serving the Tsaritsa with a loyalty unmatched explicitly calls for the patience and tolerance of a saint.
Alas, Childe is the furthest thing from a saint. And still, Zhongli’s betrayal stung the most out of anyone else’s, the reason still unbeknownst to him. He tells himself that it’s because he had actually befriended the other man. That, unlike his other missions, he developed more of a friendship with Zhongli than he has with anyone else in the past. Not to mention how he really thought he’d find the gnosis, in all its golden glory, seated deep within the Exuvia, and not within his friend.
Which is why after he watches Zhongli hand over his precious gnosis to Signora of all people, Childe makes haste to return to the inn he had been staying at to furiously pack his things and leave first thing in the morning. Seeing Signora in Liyue so close to Zhongli had triggered a deep seated feeling of possessiveness over him and the city. Liyue was his territory, as far as he was concerned. It was assigned to him by the Tsaritsa and no one else. And yet, despite his unspoken possession over Liyue, its people turned against him and viewed him as the enemy. As if Childe didn’t already know that. As if he hadn’t already grown up with a layered villain complex, subconsciously looking for a fool with a hero complex to match him. Then entered Zhongli, making himself at home in Childe’s life, and he was immediately enamouring the Harbinger.
Screw Liyue.
Screw all their traditions, the stupid glaze lilies, the delicious cuisine, the obvious livelihood that fills the streets in stark contrast to his own icy hometown, screw all those goddamn unnecessary mountains, that fish market with that abhorrent smell he gradually got used to, and screw Rex Lapis. Screw Zhongli, that handsome bastard, for stringing him along like his plaything the entire time.
Childe knows, he gets it, that Zhongli simply did what he had to do because it was best for his people. And what other way for the oldest of the seven to go, if not for a grand finale? And yes, Childe admits, luring out Osial was a stupid move, but it certainly served its purpose for testing the strength of Liyue and its defenders.
Zhongli and Signora knew he would do something stupid and reckless as soon as he caught wind of the Exuvia serving as a decoy. They knew, and they played the game so well, that Childe really thought he was the mastermind puppeteering the whole show.
What a fool he was made out to be.
Childe aggressively shoves blazer after blazer into his travel duffel, angry, pathetic tears pooling at the corners of his eyes without his consent. He sniffs angrily and swipes at his cheek as soon as the first tear falls.
Fuck this, he’s not crying over a god, he still has some dignity.
But still. Pride aside, it hurt. And it wasn’t even necessarily the deceit that hurt the most. He’s dealt with that previously. It was… more personal. More of an internal struggle than an external issue. Childe truly hates those the most. At least he can shove his fist through any external problem, but he can’t exactly do the same with his feelings, or whatever they’re called.
It was the way Zhongli’s warm amber eyes suddenly were not as warm anymore. The way he looked at him with a piercing look, void of remorse, as he handed his gnosis over willingly to go on a whole spiel about how his “duties were done”.
The same eyes that gazed at him with such affection and kindness were suddenly replaced with the eyes of a soldier. And it was only then that Childe fully realized the force he was reckoning with. Zhongli was a withered god who lived too long for his own good. A powerful deity that held the ability to shake the ground with a look; he who had been humbled by time and his sharp edges eroded by the millions of faces that passed him. Simply put, Childe was just another one of those faces. And again, he understood. If he lived for six thousand years, he wouldn’t want to be alive after the first hundred.
It was the duality that dug the blade deeper into his already bleeding chest. He felt used.
“I’ve enjoyed the time we’ve spent together, Childe,” Zhongli had said to him on a warm Liyuen night, “a friend of mine, a long time ago, told me that I was… bad at connecting with people. Emotionally stunted, is what she called me. And she is correct, as I have definitely struggled with making connections in the past. But with you… it’s different. It’s easy.
Childe is thankful for the discretion that night provides him; Zhongli would have easily spotted the blush spreading across his pale cheeks had it been daytime.
“So you had trouble making a couple friends, so what?” The ginger shrugs, “I wasn’t the best at making friends, either. My mom always said I was too aggressive. Apparently that’s not such an appealing trait, after all.”
Zhongli chuckles, a beautiful sound. “It was a bit deeper than that, I’m afraid. Understanding the complexity of another’s emotions was always difficult for me, whereas she… she was loved by everyone. Adored by the youngest of fawns to the oldest of horses. It came so naturally to her. I was the opposite. Not that everyone hated me, no, people just had a harder time getting close to me. Which is why, upon meeting you, I was shocked to find that we clicked so well. Befriending you was as easy as breathing air.”
Oh, Archons, help him.
“And,” Zhongli continues, as if he hadn’t already wrecked the man six ways to hell and back, “I must sincerely thank you for indulging me once again.” The deity glances down at the bag full of antique trinkets in his lap. Childe’s lips turn upward into one of his more genuine, rare smiles.
“What’s with you tonight?” Childe responds, and Zhongli looks at him questioningly , “I mean, you never had a problem with me spoiling you rotten before. You’ve never even acknowledged it. Why start now?”
Zhongli tears his gaze away from the Harbinger.
“And,” the ginger continues, “it almost sounds like you’re saying goodbye.”
Zhongli smiles at him then. He wore a kind look on his face, eyes so impossibly warm that it reminded him of his grandmother’s pirozhki. Hot and steaming from the center, melting on his tongue, dissolving deliciously in his mouth and defrosting his entire body. His smile felt like it wrapped itself around his chest and squeezed the best way possible, fitting him back together in places Childe didn’t even realize he had broken.
“What makes you say that?”
Oh, Childe is pissed.
Fuck tomorrow morning, Childe is leaving tonight.
The memories of last night crash over him not unlike a tidal wave and suddenly, he’s drowning. Filled out the brim with a familiar rage burning through his chest and searing his finger tips, his legs, his fucking toes.
He stands abruptly when he realizes he’s been sitting and resumes his packing. It doesn’t take very long after that. A couple toiletries get shoved into the side pockets, his vision is hooked back onto his hip, and his mask is slid into its’ usual spot on his head. He looks at himself in the mirror on the way out and scowls at the way his hair looks more disheveled than usual. Red rims his dulled blue eyes, forcing him to accept that maybe he cried more than he’d like to admit. Whatever.
He swings the door open and-
“Childe,” lo and behold, Zhongli stands in his fucking doorway, “I’d like to talk to you, if that’s alright.” The man looks slightly disheveled. He’s a little out of breath, Childe notices, like he ran up those ridiculous flights of stairs to get to his room- which, by the way, he never disclosed that information with him.
The man in question huffs a laugh. “It’s not.”
He makes a move to brush past him, but is stopped by an unreasonably strong grip around his bicep.
“Tartaglia,” he pleads, “please.”
Childe snatches his arm back and spits, “don’t call me that.”
He retreats back into his room anyway, hearing Zhongli close the door behind him. He dumps the bag back onto his bed and curses himself for not leaving a millisecond earlier.
“You’re angry with me.” Zhongli starts, face as unreadable as ever.
“The sky is blue. Snezhnaya is cold. Are we still stating the obvious here?” He’s too angry to carefully choose his words. Too hurt to slip on his pleasant facade.
“Tartaglia,” he presses, and Childe really hates how his name sounds on his tongue, “I truly am sorry for the way things had to go. It was not in my intentions to… hurt you to the degree in which you feel. I simply was upholding the end of my contract and doing what was best for my people. I implore you to believe that making you feel used was not my main objective.“
Oh god, his apology sounds so robotic.
“So you’re aware that what you did was a little fucked up.”
“Yes.”
“And you’re aware that almost the entirety of Liyue places the blame on me.”
“Yes.”
Well, shit. “Good talk, Zhongli-xiansheng. If you’ll excuse me, I must begin my trip home.”
He stomps toward the door only to be stopped once again. Archons, if Childe had any motivation left, he most certainly would challenge him to a spar. The ginger huffs, and looks to the heavens in a silent plea for patience.
“Tartaglia, please, I’m not finished-“
“Yeah, well I am.” Their eyes lock. Blue meets gold in a hostile hold, refusing to break. “The second you handed your gnosis over, my business here was done. Whatever… relationship we had is done. You were my consultant and was a Harbinger here for business. A Harbinger that you obviously used for your disposal. So now that that’s over and done with, I really need to report to Tsaritsa, lest she have my head on a silver platter-“
“I spoke with Tsaritsa already.” Zhongli cuts in, his grip tightening around Childe’s wrist. “I asked her for more time with you.”
“You what.”
“Surely you are curious about the deal I struck with Tsaritsa. The contract to end all contracts, yes?” Childe’s wild look on his face eggs him to continue, “I struck a deal that granted you more time here in Liyue. With me.”
Childe is silent for a moment. The ex-Archon opens his mouth to continue.
“And I’d like to say I’ve known you long enough to know that you seek freedom. From what that may be, I do not know. But Tsaritsa has agreed to give you a choice, at the very least, a temporary one. An extended vacation or complete retirement is a choice to be made by you.” Zhongli finishes, looking to Tartaglia with hope.
“THAT is worth your fucking gnosis?!” Zhongli’s gnosis. The entire essence of his being. The very thing that makes him divine (thought it certainly isn’t the only thing that makes the man ethereal), was traded for him.
“Yes,” Zhongli replies with such ease it makes Childe’s head spin. “Among other things, of course.” An aggressive why is lodged in the back of Childe’s throat. Why me? A million questions swirl around his head, knocking him off balance. He would have swayed on his feet had Zhongli not been there to hold him upright.
“That’s insane. You’re insane. You…” Childe lets out a tired sigh, “I don’t understand you.” And he doesn’t. Because one minute he’s a cold hearted businessman, and the next he’s at his door, reduced to a mortal, begging him to stay. Granting him freedom. Really, what kind of fucked up game is this? Why didn’t anyone tell him he was a part of it?
Zhongli smiles. He smiles. “You remember our conversation from the night before, yes?”
Childe rolls his ever-blue eyes to the back of his head. “Remind me, Zhongli-sensei,”
“I said,” the deity starts, drawing both of Childe’s calloused hands between his own, “that I struggled to connect with others. Guizhong, the Goddess of Dust, was the one to bring to my attention my emotional constipation. And like I said, she was correct.”
Childe’s anger withers.
“Unfortunately I understand naught of the depth of your feelings of betrayal,” he continues, “but I do wish to understand how deeply humans feel. And in our time together, I’ve begun to understand through you. Despite your… complexities. And I wish to continue to learn. With you.” I wish to feel human is left unsaid, and laced between his words instead.
“What are you saying,” the Harbinger asks weakly.
“Take me with you.”
“What.”
“Take me with you. Wherever you go, I will follow, if you will allow it.”
Well duh, he’d allow it. Zhongli just had to work for it a little more. He can’t just waltz in here after breaking his heart and ruining his trust, demanding his friendship and companionship or whatever, after everything he was put through-
“Okay.”
Very nice ass to mouth filter, Ajax.
Zhongli’s eyes glow impossibly brighter, “Okay?”
Childe tugs his hands back to his side. “Yes, yes, fine. Whatever. But you can’t just. You can’t just use me again in the name of experimentation.”
“Tartaglia, I would never,” he assures him vehemently, “Of the seven, I was always the one most oblivious to emotions. You may ask Barbatos if you want. But I know that what I feel for you is real and I would not trade it for the world.”
Childe’s mind reels. Barbatos? Feelings?
“‘What you feel for me?’”
Zhongli cocks his head in confusion, as if his feelings were the most obvious thing in the world. “Well, yes. And you feel the same, no? It need not be said aloud.”
“It really doesn’t,” Childe affirms, “you can save me the embarrassment.”
“Wonderful,” Zhongli’s face brightens, and it’s only then that Childe is hit with the full realization that Zhongli is free. No longer is he tied to the city and burdened with the weight of the people. No longer does he have to associate himself with the likes of the Tsaritsa. Finally, after centuries and centuries, he is allowed the pleasure to smile so brightly despite feeling pained for finally leaving his people. He is Zhongli, and no longer Rex Lapis. Morax is long gone, too. The man before him is a man reborn, and Childe’s heart aches with happiness for him.
“Okay, well,” he clears his throat when he notices he’s been quiet for too long, “it’s been a long day and I’m tired. I think I’m just gonna take a shower and turn into bed and think about the rest tomorrow. Save it for future Childe, you know?”
He pads over to his hastily packed back and zips it back open, pulling out the toiletries he aggressively shoved in less than an hour ago. He digs his fingers into his neck and sighs at the release of tension. Summoning an angry ocean god took a lot more out of him than he anticipated.
“I agree,” Zhongli says, and begins to strip. “Personally I prefer the left side of the bed.”
Childe gawks at him.
“You-!” Truly an emotionally constipated god, indeed. He sighs and his shoulders droop, the fight leaving his body. “Fine. Make yourself comfortable. I’ll be out in a bit.”
“I eagerly await your return,” Zhongli comments passively as he slips under the covers, a book he didn’t even know he was carrying tucked under his arm. Childe sighs for the nth time that night and turns to close the bathroom door behind him.
Future Childe certainly has a lot to deal with in the morning.

would you recommend dragalia? ive been eyeing it for a while (not like i need another gacha game) but idk how it works
OOO HELL YEAH I RECOMMEND DRAGALIA
first off, it's one of the fairest gacha games i've ever played. i've tried a few — the battle cats, kh union cross, animal crossing pocket camp, pokemon masters, ff brave exvius — and none of them come CLOSE to how generous dragalia is. very steady stream of summon currency, they lowered it a bit recently but its still pretty decent, 250~ summons a month if i remember correctly but that sounds really off haha... its summon system also features a pity rate, where every 10 summons you do without summoning a 5-star, you get an increased chance to summon one in subsequent summons. they also recently introduced wyrmsigils: every summon you do earns you a wyrmsigil, get 300 and you can just pick from the rate-up characters on the banner. 300 sounds like a lot but its not really!!
even if you didn't summon a 5-star, a lot of 4 and even 3 stars are just as good if not better sometimes. they're constantly buffing old adventurers, so you don't have to continously summon the new ones bc of powercreep!
adding to how generous it is, its very kind to newbies and free-to-players. upgrade materials aren't stupidly hard to come by and newbies get so many rewards to start them off. i will say the recent update made the wyrmprint system harder to access especially for newcomers, bc the cost of upgrading your prints has skyrocketed... lots of people complained so i'm hoping they change it, even i'm struggling with the stupid thing
the game itself is really fun imo, just the right level of difficulty for me, lots of different playstyles for all the weapon types and adventurers. its just repeatedly tapping the screen to hit things but like? its so fun??? the 2nd anniversary happened 2 months ago and it overhauled nearly the entire game, including buffing almost the whole roster so EVERYONE is at least decent (except vice. he got nerfed. such an injustice.)
along with that the game is constantly uodated with new events every 1-2 weeks, they may all kind of be the exact same gameplay but somehow i barely ever get tired of it.
what i really like is all the extra content you get alongside the main campaign and events!! every adventurer and dragon you can get comes with a story you can read, there's extra castle stories which are similar little skits, and it has a joke comic strip, reminiscent of newspaper funnies, with an ultra cute art style that i ADORE. honestly some of the side plotlines are better than the main one... (i am talking specifically about heinwald, curran and lathna)
almost every character is really unique and charming, so many really varied designs which i love. best one is orsem of course, i will not be persuaded otherwise this is non-negotiable
OOOO AND THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD... they collaborate with a lot of different artists so a lot of the recent events especially have unique themes. checkmate, we are the lights, bon fever, force your way, cinderella step and bokurano network are personal favorites! and the menu theme from the fire emblem collab... so good
speaking of collabs, its also done ones with mega man and monster hunter, granblue fantasy characters make appearances and theres the princess connect collab coming up! i know nothing about those series but maybe you do? idk
main drawback is the 5+gb space it requires hdgjfjtdjf i can't even try genshin impact bc of it... i have no room :(
tl;dr: i adore dragalia because its a quality game and its super underappreciated so i want more people to play it. please play it. this was not a sponsored post.

so i built a pc and i need somewhere to document the specifications. this is my only future-proof location lol
mutuals, feel free to ignore
pc:
case: lian li lancool ii mesh c
cpu: amd ryzen 5 3600x
cpu cooler: icue h100i elite capellix (do not recommend. icue software sucks. my system is flashing red because corsair wont fix the firmware. this has been a known issue for months.)
motherboard: asus rog strix b550-a gaming
ram: corsair vengeance rgb pro sl 16gb (2x8gb)
mem: crucial mx500 1tb 2.5" ssd
gpu: zotac gaming geforce rtx 3060ti
psu: corsair rm850 (fully modular)
peripherals:
monitors: hp x24ih 23.8" gaming monitor (x2)
speakers: ARVICKA mini desktop computer speakers
mouse: corsair mouse i stole from my brother
keyboard: glorious gmmk pro with gazzew boba u4 switches. (in mail, cannot review rn)
webcam: logitech c615
haha if you're reading this and you're not me, i play genshin impact, modded stardew valley, modded minecraft/servers, the sims 4*, and planet zoo. this is system is overkill. if you're looking to play similar games, you don't need 144hz monitors or a 3060 graphics card. save your money, especially because EA sucks.
* i've heard that if you want to play the sims 4 faster, the sims 4 is a single-threaded game, meaning you wont get any benefit from ryzen's multi-threaded cores**. just an fyi. id still recommend ryzen over intel because games that arent made by EA will actually optimize and multi-thread lol
** so what i mean by this is that the sims 4 runs like shit because its unoptimized and there comes a point where even the fastest cpu is waiting on the game to finish its thread before it can do the next task. its just what happens when you prioritize paid dlc over gameplay. send me an ask if you're really curious, but also this is just what ive heard. i've lost access to my sims 4 since the steam merger and am waiting for sims 5.

act V
Genshin Impact | TartaLi/ZhongChi
Summary:  “Anyway, childhood dreams are all too easily shattered. Even if you just leave them be, they will fall to pieces all by themselves,” Childe had said ruefully to the traveler, “So someone has to protect them, right?”
And what about your own, Zhongli questioned, who will protect you, Tartaglia, if not me?
Or, Zhongli is incredibly soft for a specific ginger.
A continuation of act IV; takes place a couple months from where act IV left off. Both stories can be read individually.
A/N: This fic is entirely self indulgent haha. I played Childe’s individual story and couldn’t help but feel obligated to write him being doted on. Seriously, the guy went through that much trouble to take care of his brother and preserve his innocence :( made me wonder if there was anyone to take care of him, too, you know?
Umm if you wanna cry with me, listen to the song Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish while or after you read. Please enjoy! - u.n
Spoiler alert: contains spoilers for Childe’s story, Monoceros Caeli.
--
The warmth of the morning sun’s rays always had a way of withering down even the strongest of soldiers.
A morning not so different from yesterday’s gently pulls Zhongli from a restful slumber. He cracks an amber eye open to observe his surroundings and takes a calming breath, and feels his own chest rise and fall. The sun crept through the window and past the curtains, enveloping the entirety of one ivory wall and reflecting against Childe’s pale skin. Two bodies lay intertwined underneath the thick duvet, creasing every which way where their legs tangled and rose and fell with each breath they took. He glanced down to where Childe had an arm slung across his waist protectively, and allowed himself to bask in the way the weight felt against his body. For the first time in a long time, Zhongli woke with his heart full of peace and completely void of discourse.
The ex-Archon glances down at his peaceful lover with the ghost of a smile on his face.
He inches closer and pulls his hand away from where it was laced with Childe’s between their faces. The action released a soft, discontented grunt from the ginger. Zhongli bit his lip to hide a smile, and brought the offending hand up to his Childe’s cheek. He brushes his knuckles across the smooth skin, running his thumb across his cheekbone as he gently pulled away, only to reach back in to repeat the action.
Childe sniffles in his sleep and subconsciously leans into his touch.
Zhongli’s heart flutters.
At the heart of it all, he knows that Tartaglia is incredibly soft hearted. Buried beneath is a soul that is desperately clinging to the innocence of childhood that was lost in the abyss. He’s a man that carries burdens as heavy as the rocks he breaks with the flick of his wrist, a man that would sprint to the ends of the earth for his family and anyone he loved. A man that loves so deeply, yet so exclusively. He’s a man that is careful with his heart, a man that needs to be, but in the event that he should entrust another with his entire essence, it should be considered the highest honor. Zhongli’s chest swells. Childe truly is one of a kind.
Sometimes, Zhongli finds it hard to believe that someone as magnificent as Childe has chosen an old man like him.
His ginger hair falls against his forehead playfully and tickles the bridge of his nose. The side of his head that’s pressed against soft satin pillows also has ginger locks splaying out in every direction, unlike his usual semi-neat hair style. His fingers twitch subconsciously where Zhongli once held them between his own. His breath rises and falls with each steady inhale and exhale, and fuck Zhongli is so in love. He’s really in for it, now. Oddly enough, it’s a familiar feeling. It’s an all consuming feeling that blooms within his chest before spreading like a wildfire down his arms and into his core, down to his legs and out to his arms; the warmth will spread up to his neck and make his head feel a thousand pounds lighter before the process repeats again. It’s akin to what he feels on the battlefield, except, instead of adrenaline coursing through his bloodstream, it’s more like a gentle wave of reassurance. It’s a feeling so unforgettable, even Zhongli in his densest moments has to be able to recognize it.
Seeing that he roams the earth as a mortal, the only person who could truly be the cause of his downfall now lies in front of him, blissfully unaware of the world around him at the moment.
What a beautiful feeling it must be, Zhongli ponders, to think of nothing but the luxuries that life has to offer. One of them being waking up next to the love of your unfortunately long life.
Zhongli likes to think now more than ever, that Guizhong would be proud of him. Look at me now, old friend, he thinks proudly, look at what he’s taught me. Look at what you’ve opened my heart to.
Because even if Childe was a swirl reaction of multiple emotions at once, most of them chaotic, some of them malicious and some of them benevolent, he’s been one of the kindest teacher’s Zhongli has ever met. And the man is six thousand years old.
It’s in his eyes, Zhongli concludes silently.
Childe has never been one to be very open with his emotions, but like it or not, they constantly revealed themselves in his obnoxiously blue eyes. His eyes, ever cerulean, have led Zhongli through his heart and showed him the ropes, handling him with care. His eyes were the very reason Zhongli knew that he needed to make amends after the storm, three months ago. Because even if Childe’s posture and tone reflected but playful and meaningless feelings of betrayal, his eyes begged to differ. One look at him as he passed over his gnosis, and Zhongli knew he had hurt him more than he could imagine. More than he had ever expected he could. At the time, all Zhongli knew in him was a soldier. A Fatui Harbinger at the disposal of the Tsaritsa.
Oh, how he was wrong.
As soon as the traveler, their floating companion, and Signora all but vacated the bank, he hauled ass to Wangshu Inn. Zhongli remembers the way his heart slammed against his chest as he pumped his legs as fast as they could go. It was Ekaterina that had informed him, vaguely, that Childe had plans to leave the next morning, if not earlier. He simply could not let that pass without saying his piece. Stubborn as a rock, Zhongli fled. There, he caught Childe at the last minute with his travel duffel already equipped and ready to go. He thought, for a terrifying second, that he had already lost him.
And yet here they were, tangled together in a heap of limbs as the sun rose, ever upwards.
I love him, Zhongli determines, I love him I love him I love him—
“Are you watching me sleep, old man?”
Ah. He had been too caught up in his emotions to notice Childe’s obvious change in breathing. He had been awake for awhile. Zhongli’s hand, where it had once been running lovingly across his face, has stilled for quite some time and rested gently against Childe’s cheek. Still, Childe’s eyes remain closed.
Zhongli smiles, uninhibited. “I love you,” the words flowed out of him with such ease, he almost didn’t recognize his own voice.
Both of Tartaglia’s eyes slam open. He doesn’t even get the chance to blink away the sleep the way he usually does in that infuriatingly cute manner. Instead, all he blinks once, nice and slow. Processing.
“Well,” the (former? It’s tentative) Harbinger starts dumbly, “good morning to you, too.”
Zhongli chuckles. “Good morning, my love.”
Tartaglia’s eyes widen once more. The ginger looks at the deity with disbelief, as if he were still processing the fact that the first confession was not a fluke. It truly is a comical sight for the ex-Archon. Another one of the simple pleasures in life, he deems, is bringing happiness to the one he loves most.
The ginger sits up on one elbow and looks down at the man in confusion, tugging him closer in the process. “What’s up with you?”
“Nothing is up with me,” Zhongli shrugs and looks up at the object of his affections with such nonchalance it makes Tartaglia’s head spin.
“You’re being all…” the sentence almost dies on his lips, “feely.” His head is too muddled with sleep to think of anything else to say.
“Feely?” He tilts his head in genuine confusion. Zhongli has never heard that word before.
“Yes, feely!” Tartaglia shakes him restlessly, “what’s with the…” he waves a hand in the air aimlessly.
“I love you,” Zhongli states again, simple as breathing, “is it so wrong for me to tell you?”
“No!” He negates quickly, “I’ve just… you’ve never said it out loud before, I guess.”
Zhongli’s eyebrows pull together in slight distaste. “Have I done something that made you feel otherwise?”
At this, Tartaglia sighs and slumps forward. He lets his forehead thump against the other man’s collarbone and nuzzles closer. “No, you oaf, like I said, you’ve just never said it directly before. Caught me by surprise a little.”
Zhongli brings a free hand to tangle in red hair idly as he speaks. “I’ll be sure to say it more often, then.” And in a moment of insecurity, he follows with, “do you… share the sentiment?”
Tartaglia stills in his arms. Zhongli’s breath stutters for a moment. He wonders if he should drop the subject in its entirety when Ajax’s voice finally returns, albeit muffled by the sheets.
“More than you could ever know,” he admits quietly. Zhongli ignores the quiver in his voice for Ajax’s sake. “So much so that it scares me.”
Zhongli’s heart soars. “You don’t need to be afraid, darling,” he assures him with confidence, “when was the last time you let someone take care of you?”
There was a time, Zhongli recalls, when Tartaglia told him all about the day his little brother had visited him in Liyue. The little troublemaker took ten years off of Tartaglia’s life span when he rushed headfirst into a ruin guard factory with little regard to his own safety. Tartaglia, ever the family man, threw himself into danger and shifted into his Foul Legacy Form despite his slow recovery from the last instance. High on adrenaline was the excuse he had used when Zhongli looked at him sternly. He was left coughing and sputtering, a pathetic image of the Eleventh Harbinger that is usually so calm and collected, always looking for a fight.
Had Zhongli been there, he would have scolded him endlessly.
“Anyway, childhood dreams are all too easily shattered. Even if you just leave them be, they will fall to pieces all by themselves,” Childe had said ruefully to the traveler, “So someone has to protect them, right?”
And what about your own, Zhongli questioned, who will protect you, Tartaglia, if not me?
“It’s been a long time, sensei,” Ajax admits into the sheets, “please be patient with me when I’m being difficult.”
Zhongli cradles his nape. “For you, my love, I’d wait another six thousand years.”
