Mockingbird Flip

This term is to refer to flips who may be regressed often or always regressed yet still take the role of a caregiver . However , they don’t inherently get into a caregiver headspace , only acting (or rather masking) as one whenever interacting with other regressed littles , therefore mimicking the role of a caregiver while not inherently feeling like one or wanting to feel like one .

This can be for many reasons such as not wanting to be regressed around others , being embarrassed over their own regressed traits , or simply out of instinct / a force of habit . A mockingbird flip may communicate they are regressed or they may not .

Mockingbird Flips may lean toward sibling or babysitter roles rather than parent roles in a dynamic for personal comfort .

This term was made personally for me but can be used by anyone sfw in the agere community ^_^ color meanings under cut

Darker desaturated pink - Masking , the act of masking , but not intending to lie .

Lighter desaturated pink - Regression , being regressed , inspired by both the typical agere and flip flags .

Off-white - The comfort of regression , the safety , even when the person feels interrupted .

Light blue - Family , acting older than you feel , being a caregiver , being a flip .

Dark Brown - Mockingbirds , the darker feathers of mockingbirds

reminder that these are to be used for nonsexual purposes only, NO K!NK

the colors, in order from top to bottom, are

pastel yellow: for age regressors

pastel green: for pet regressors

pastel blue: for carers and babysitters

pastel purple: for regression as a whole

important note: every stripe is meant to be entirely inclusive to folks of all big/regressed ages, colors, shapes and sizes, and to folks with and without disabilities and/or mental illnesses.

"regression as a whole" means all kinds of regression. not just agere and petre, but also: age/pet dreaming, pure and impure, voluntary and involuntary, system littles/middles, and whatever else your personal regression involves and means to you.

credits to the original post ! "i'm just a girl" stated after every little mistake i commit /j

i spent quite a bit of time worrying about the risk of possibly diminishing this prompt, especially considering it exists most likely to give way for the gender expression of those who don't identify as cis, so i decided on the hopefully healthy middleground of continuing to post the above board to fulfill the my aspect of the prompt, but i also quickly whipped this up almost as a shout-out... i hope this doesn't upset anyone, but if it does please please please let me know quickly so i can fix it ! i know it doesn't represent everybody, so if requests for those come up i'll most definitely take them up ! it was also fun considering how it felt like encountering the colours for the first time again cuz of how quickly i forget things generally (⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠)
