this update is for those who were curious what the iud insertion process is like and my personal experience with it!

summary: the insertion took 10min, I didn't feel more than a light pinch inside of me and it's been two days since then and I feel no pain besides a minor cramp (which would probably go away if I took ibuprofen but I haven't felt the need to take any)! so I highly recommend getting an iud if you're interested in long term birth control, it was really easy and I'll detail how I prepped for my appt and the procedure below ♡

so I did a lot of research ahead of time and I ended up picking the paraguard (copper) iud, which lasts up to 10 years and is the non-hormonal option! I chose it specifically because my periods are VERY regular and I didn't wanna mess with my hormones if I didn't absolutely need to! but the hormonal options are great too (and they might even eliminate your period altogether while the copper one has a chance of making your periods worse LOL so I can update on that if my period is significantly worse or not!)

so before I got to my appt, I took 800mg of ibuprofen about an hour and a half ahead of time at the recommendation of my pcp (if Tylenol works better for you, then you can take that instead!) and I think that helped a lot bc like I said, I didn't feel shit LOL

when I got to my appt (I came 30min early), they wanted me to give a urine sample (bc you CANNOT be pregnant when you get your iud inserted) and I have terrible performance anxiety so it took me an hour to pee LMAO this was the hardest part of the appt for me ironically and I actually didn't pee at all that morning to prep 😭 I'm just a shy bitch I guess but I thankfully managed to finally go and that's when my appt started officially

the first half of the appt for me was just discussing all the risks and benefits and the procedure itself so that I was fully aware of what I was getting myself into but the nurse practitioner was SO SWEET and she was so knowledgeable so I felt really comfortable and she even gave me a little heat pack which I put on my tummy the whole appt and she even helped me activate it bc I'm a weak little bitch 😂

here's how my procedure went (I'll try to keep the details not too TMI lol):

1. she performed a pelvic exam to check the orientation of my cervix (which is a quick process where she inserts two gloved fingers inside and then presses down on my lower stomach to check for pain, etc) and since I had a pap smear done earlier in the week and already dealt with this with my pcp, it was like whatever for me lol I didn't really care but I know some ppl would feel uncomfortable with a stranger's gloved touch (I had never met her before but you can always meet them ahead of time if that would make you feel better) so I wanted this part to be known

2. with some lube, my nurse prepped the speculum (which is the standard tool for holding the vagina open) and then inserted it. for me, I couldn't really feel it, it's kind of like a light pressure (if you have not stretched your hymen before, THIS WILL HURT at least it did for me when I did a pap before I ever had sex for the first time lol so I do not suggest getting an iud if you do not have some experience stretching yourself out with either a partner or a toy)

3. using the speculum, she took the time to clean my cervix to keep the process sterile (bc your cervix does have bacteria in it so just to ensure you won't get an infection, it's cleaned with swabs!) and it felt like a series of tickles inside so it wasn't bad at all and pretty quick lol

4. then when the cleaning was done, she looked for my cervix and then used a special tool to hold it still (bc the cervix can MOVE during the procedure so they hold it in place so your physician doesn't have to chase after it LOL) and for me, this was the pinch but it wasn't uncomfortable, I just didn't really think about it and talked to my nurse to distract myself

5. once the steadying tool was in place, my nurse used another tool to measure the length of my cervix to ensure that I did not have an abnormally short/long cervix because your options change based on that but it's rare (I had a completely normal cervix length so we were good to go!) and this was really quick like maybe a minute or two tops!

6. since I was given the go, she prepped the iud for insertion (it's just loaded into a thin tube) and then she popped it in and I didn't even know it happened until I felt the strings and then she cut the strings short so I didn't feel them anymore then she cleaned up a little inside of me then took the speculum out and we were done!

I did have some spotting (it was just like a light flow period day) so she gave me a pad and then I was good to go! The spotting stopped today, so around two days after and now I don't feel anything. I thought that was super strange but my body adjusted to the iud oddly well so I'm happy about that! I asked her about the level of protection and she said that the risk of pregnancy is so low (like 0.1% lol 1 out of 1000 ppl get pregnant). you aren't allowed to do anything with the vagina (like inserting anything inside, etc) for 24 hours but after that, you're allowed to have sex/play with toys without worry!

my nurse practitioner said that for the next 3-6 months, my periods might be irregular so I can totally update on that if anyone cares LMAO I have not had relations but I can also tell you how my partner feels as well since there is a chance that the strings of the iud can be felt so I'm delaying any sort of physicality until those strings have smoothened out a bit (the strings eventually curve away and will no longer be in the way) plus my period is coming in a week so perfect timing to chillax for a bit (I guess I'll just throw all my horniness into my writing 😌💅)

Nnnggggggghhhhhhhh #I /know/ the manga doesn't revolve around sskk (unfortunately) but I can't help but wish they'd have more screentime...#By the looks of it. Since Dazai absolutely can't die. Some ada ally is going to write on the page to rewrite everything soon #(page that they acquired somehow in the meantime. Don't ask. I just don't think there's any other way this could go.#A Ranpo ex machina or something)#And the arc is going to be soon done with. But I don't want it to end yet I want my juicy sskk conflict...#I wanted them to deepen the “I know you're still in there” “Why did you save me” plotlines... Thoughts on the hc that Dazai has a glass eye?

I'm just imagining Dazai getting injured on a case on his blind side, and Kunikida berates him and drags him to Yosano.

And Yosano is like "Really, again? How did it happen this time?" And Kunikida says "Idiot wasn't paying attention."

Dazai "No I was, its just my blind side."

And they both freak out because why? How? Huh? But his eye looks fine?

Yosano: Well, I can schedule an appointment and we can see if we can get you surgery or something-

Dazai: Oh its unsalvagable, I'm blind on that side.

Kunikida: Why does your eye look fine then??? (He thinks Dazai is fucking with him)

Dazai just smiles, reaches up and pull the glass eye out. Kunikida screams.

Oh my gosh alsksjdjfjf honestly I think this hc is great just for that potential moment of screaming confusion on Kunikida’s part, Dazai absolutely would do that XD

I guess in general I haven’t thought much about the implications of Dazai bandaging that eye! I know I’ve definitely seen fics and stuff where his vision is off in that eye in one way or another (@feralrookie wrote a fantastic soulmate AU where Dazai’s soulmark is on that eye and it gutted me in the best way). I think it’s really fun to see where different people go with it :0

I do think it’s interesting that he swaps which eye he bandages in the Beast universe…that feels like it has Implications but I’m not sure what they are, I’m not very skilled at analysis lol —Although, slightly related, I do love the moment in the Dark Era where Oda pulls those bandages off as he dies, because it seems like a visual representation of how much Dazai was hindering himself in the mafia (seriously, if there isn’t anything wrong with that eye, that means the dude was shooting guns without precise depth perception seemingly just for the heck of it) and then Oda pulls them off as he tells him to go live in the light and just aaaaaaaaaaaaa I am never not going to be emotional about the dark era ;;

…anyway this got off topic, basically all this to say I think that I think it’s cool how many different interpretations of it there are, and you could definitely do a lot with the glass eye headcanon alskjdjdjd

#I don’t know how coherent this is alskjdjfj #i am very sleepy #…now I’m also thinking about the fact that I don’t think we’ve seen Dazai fire a gun since he joined the ADA #unless it’s happened in one of the LNs I haven’t caught up with yet #idk that just seems significant since the times we’ve seen him fire a gun previously were: a moment of clear trauma for him(the 15 arc)#and him imparting trauma on Akutagawa in the dark era.#I feel like that might be indicative of him distancing himself from his past self #or I could be reading too much into it #fun fact that was actually why I gave him a gun in the Dazai-goes-feral-AU #because in that fic he is regressing pretty heavily due to Stress and Emotions #and also why he immediately drops the gun and leaves it behind after he fires the last shot #cause he knows he’s regressing and he’s trying to distance himself from it.#…I ended up rambling a lot sorry alsksjdjfjf #oooh actually another random thought #dyou think there’s anything going on with Q’s eyes? like can they see ok?#I know it’s a part of their character design but oh my gosh those pupils #I feel like that would seriously hamper your vision #ok I need to stop myself before I write a full chapter of nonsense in the tags alskjdjdjd #ask box #bsd dazai #goblin anon

#I'm a bit late but :)#Mmmhh lots of thoughts about this episode. Nothing really relevant though lol #I like it... Mostly. Well‚ I like Atsushi‚ and I like Atsushi screentime.#I always forget that there's actually a one week timeskip within the Guild arc #I think these chapters were generally better executed in the manga.#But even then it's just...#Why do the make the Guild / Fitzgerald so. dumb. Why do they make them act so wildly irrationally and at the protagonists' advantage #It really gives villain acting entirely mindlessly to make the plot advance and the heroes win. It's really sensless.#I mean especially when Atsushi yielded. Why didn't Fitzgerald take his offer. For real!!#For real. He had NOTHING to gain from proceeding with his plan. He already obtained for Atsushi and the ada to collaborate.#Now they are NEVER going to help him‚ and that's agreat loss for him.#And idk. i hear that little Tumblr post in my voice saying “why would you complain about characters acting irrationally!#Do people irl never act irrationally?”#And yeah I get Fitzgerald was frustrated for losing Mitchell and his fight with Hawthorne. Okay I understand.#But that's definitely too much. That's him acting downright stupid at the heroes' advantage and it's just pretty underwhelming to read?#That said. It's just general notes I'm not particularly annoyed because like. That's just b/s/d to you. Dumbing down the villains a second–#so the author can escape the trap they put themselves into. Very Marvel-esque move lol.#On that exact same note WHY WOULD LUCY HAVE THE DOLL.#The doll is the whole premise for your plan working why would you not protect it with everything 😭😭😭#I'm not getting in the Lucy / Atsushi scene itself. I love Lucy but I swear every time that scene gets played a femminist dies #(it's me. I'm the femminist dying every time.)#Mmmhh a couple more things. I dislike the ost choice in the scene where Steinbeck is torturing Q it feels so out of place #And I really don't get what's the deal with the Hawthorne / Fitzgerald convo it's so confusing to me. Like it It looks like Hawtorne is–#blaming Fitzgerald for Mitchell's condition (both in health and for her family status) but...#Objectively neither of those things are Fitzgerald's fault? Idk maybe I just have very little media comprehension for this arc because–#a lot of things just seem to happen with no sense. But it's okay #Im complaining a lot lol but its mostly irrelevant things (or like with the dumbification of villains things I've learnt to live with lmao)#But the episode was generally nice. The animation this season is consistently very pretty.#random rambles

• You both enjoy going on nice little walks, mostly in awkward silence or him rambling before apologizing.

• If headcannon that him and Kyouka like cooking and baking together so he sometimes invites you over since Kyouka enjoys your presence

• Kyouka is a wingwoman so she usually puts you two in more romantic positions on purpose but claims it's an accident. But I mean, you two believe her because she's still a child, why would she do that...?

• If only you two knew.

Dazai Osamu

• Since you two were in the Port Mafia, and were sometimes really busy, the only time you'd see him was after work.

• Sometimes he'd call you and ask to come to a really random location outside of Yokohoma, and learned that it was his home in a shipping container that stank really bad (cannon.)

• From there he'd insist you'd eat some canned foods with him but you refused and got him back into the city where you went out and bought him some actual dinner than went to about 52,346 yen. ($325 American dollars)

Chuuya Nakahara

• You got to know eachother through Kouyou when she'd invite you two over for tea and talk.

• You'd also hangout durring joint-missions with yours and his division since you two worked well together.

• He and Dazai were always together so there were you as well. (The reason will be told soon lmao)

• After work, he'd usually just invite you to go drink with him even if you two weren't legal yet to drink.

• Sometimes he'd let you stay over if you got too drunk.

• Sometimes you'd drunk hook-up but never went further and just acted like it didn't happen and told no one.

Akutugawa Ryuunoske

• Something produced into a friendship through Gin.

• You and Gin were close friends so Ryuunoske was also always around when you and her would go out.

• Other than that he thought you made good fig tea so he'd just appear at your house in the middle of the night and demand for you to make tea.

• If you didn't, he'd stay on your couch till you did, even if he had meetings or missions, he'd just want your tea.

• When you did make the tea, he'd just listen to you silently as you ramble of how he shouldn't just pop up in the middle of the night with no invite or anything else you'd talk about.

• Btw this happens still

Ranpo Edogawa

• He'd pop up randomly sort of like Akutugawa asking you for more of your muffins.

• You two would usually just eat sweets together while he talks about how great of a detective he is and about his recent cases

• You two would also work together in Poe's books sometimes as Ranpo called it "a better challenge."

• He'd also start refusing going alone into the books without you there

• Even once he'd wait a month while you were overseas in America (🦅🇺🇸🍻) to come back and do the book with him.

Kunikida Doppo

• In high-school years, you'd two would hangout when he got detention in his delinquent phase and you'd watch over since you were in student council.

• You also tutored him so you'd stay over sometimes at his house or he'd stay over for dinner at yours.

• He also would sometimes convince you to go to some parties but you'd always watch over him and not drink

• Now, when he's working at the agency, he's completely different.

• You two would eat together during your breaks

• Or while out on missions with Dazai tagging along for the "fun of it."

Edgar Allen Poe

• this boy......

• He'd invite you over sometimes to look over his book even though it was litterally perfect with no mistakes

• like he didn't even need you there he could just publish it right then and there with just one chapter with how good it was.

• I feel like you'd sometimes fall asleep on his couch in his office for some reason and Karl would just sit with you

• Other than that, you two would go out and read together before getting some coffee (or tea if that's your cup)

Fukuzawa Yukichi

• Him, Fukichi, and you when you were younger would go out in the parks and sort of just be kids

• Sometimes you three would just duel, you still in your prestigious school uniform, while beating them up 💀

• When you both got older and crusty, you'd drink tea together

• Since you own a bakey, (reference to *1*) you'd teach him how to bake or he'd just help you while making your sale for tommorow.

• He'd also just take you out on walks, sometimes going back to old spots you'd go to when you were younger

Sigma

• Since it's said that Sigma likes cooking/baking, yall would do that together

• You two would also just watch Nikolai and Fyodor be gay together and talk shit about them two together

• I feel like he'd enjoy playing card games with eachother.

• For some reason I think he hates uno because of how stressed he gets over it and games are supposed to be his stress reliever

• Other than that, if you want to help with his paperwork just do that and talk with him. He thinks your voice is calming.

Nikolai Gogol

• Randomly in the middle of your shift he'd pop up yelling: "(NAME) ITS QUIZ TIME!!!"

• For some reason when your around him you feel as if your high.

• When your resting in your room in the Casino you wake from him screaming on the top of his lungs because he thought you were dead.

• Somehow he'd get in without a key.

• He'd than get really excited and forcefully put you to where he was piggy-back-riding on top of him and he'd run around the casino to annoy Sigma.

• You learned after a few times that no matter how loud you yelled at him or tried to get off that it would motivate him even more

• What you didn't know, is that he was in your walls. Litterally.

• He learned all about you without speaking to you and asked Fedya to get you into their "business."

Fyodor Dostevesky

• Your brother told you that he was a God or whatever and you didn't know what to do so you sort of just followed anything Fyodor said.

• You didn't believe he was a God but you were just bored lol

• He didn't know this though and liked you being around him so he kinda just kept you in his office saying that he'd talk to you about plans later.

• Then he'd keep you there and when it was time for him to leave his lil spot he'd tell you to come back tomorrow and the cycle would repeat

• From these times you two would sort of just talk about life and what you liked, him just going off on about his godly stuff while you just listened in silence.

Tetchou Suericho

• Fukichi would kinda just keep you around the base because you kept Tureko occupied and out of trouble. Don't worry, he paid you.

• You'd see Tetchou quite often due to this and would sometimes cook with him, adapting to his strange food habits

• During off times, he'd ask for you to come over and cook for him because your food with the way he usually eat was a lot better than other people's cooking to him. (Somehow)

• You sort of just stayed there at his house during off time and then during work times, you'd make food with Tureko and change it to the way Tetchou likes it.

Juono Saigiku

• You and him would do torture to criminals together, learning different methods from eachother.

• After, you two would usually go to a coffee shop together (or tea if that's your cup)

• You two sort of just sat in silence until making conversations about random things; him usually complaining about Tetchou and his food.

• Other than that, you two would work on missions sometimes.

Random (and somewhat silly) Leon Kennedy headcannons

* Leon is a sleepwalker. I have no justification for it other than I think it’d be funny

* Ironically he’s also a VERY light sleeper

* And to add insult to injury, he snores like a freight train.

* Leon is Transgender. Trust me guys he told me himself

* Also got that ADHD Autism combo. Again just trust me you guys he said so himself-

* Bisexual disaster. Probably leans towards men but every gender gives him Gay Panic

* Luis and Ada were his Bi Awakening.

* ((And probably Wesker too. I mean C’mon just look at the guy))

* And just like every Bisexual he CANNOT sit in chairs normally to save his life. If he even bothers to sit on one at all ((Kinda going off the second headcannon; he also sleeps in the WEIRDEST positions humanly possible))

* Leon has permanent Bad Posture. Both from when he used to wear a binder (Transmasc Tingz !!) and from old age

* He hams up his “”old age”” a LOT just to annoy Chris and Claire

* “Ooooooughhh you guys I can feel my bones turning to dust-“ “Shut UP LEON I’m NOT CARRYING YOU”

* Leon also wore a binder for FAR too long. Like he was fighting zombies and doing backflips all while his ribs were screaming in pain

* “Leon when did you last take off your binder” “why do YOU wanna know huh Chris 🤨” “TAKE IT OFF”

* ((Dw guys he practiced safe binding and got Top Surgery. Eventually))

* Leon dyes his hair blonde. You know I’m right

* It’s also like,, surprisingly soft??? He probably takes very good care of it and uses expensive products (probably the only expensive thing he owns)

* He also purposefully cuts it that way. In fact I recon he cuts it himself

* Much more competent people (Jill, Claire, Rebecca) have offered to cut it for him but he’s always refused

* Its one of the few things that reminds him of when he was still a Rookie cop that isn’t also a traumatic memory

* He’s got some PTSD just don’t worry about it ok

* Leon is N O T good at opening up. Like at all. But when somebody DOES manage to crack him he cries s o easily and he will cry for literal hours

* Chris and Claire are the only two people who’ve ever actually managed to successfully get him to open up to that point though

* He also probably sleeps better when he’s with somebody. But he’d never admit that

* Leon’s love language is probably a mix of Words Of Affirmation and Acts Of Service. He’d love it if for once he could come home to somebody having done the little chores for him

* He’s also probably a M A S S I V E sucker for any kind of physical touch. Again, won’t admit it, but he’s a big cuddler.

* Somebody please please please play with this man’s hair he will fall asleep in your lap in seconds

* Now this may be my own Autism special interest shining through but I LOVE the idea of Leon being a massive Pokémon fan

* His favourite games are Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. Idk man he SEEMS like a Hoenn boy y’know

* His first starter was Torchic and Blaiziken remains as his all-time favourite Pokémon (he’s absolutely correct Torchic is the best Hoenn starter Fight Me)

* Probably still has his Gameboy from when he was a kid

* Leon’s also into retro anime. He likes to get Chris, Jill, Claire and Rebecca over just to show them his old childhood favourite shows like Astroboy or Sailor moon

* Will pause the DVD every 5 seconds to point something out or ramble on about something for 10 minutes

* Oh yeah he also absolutely keeps a DVD player in his home

* He’s a big sucker for old movies, especially old Queer movies but he’s also into classics like Back To The Future, Star Wars etc

*Probably was a big Star Wars kid

*((His favourite movie of all time is Legally Blonde but he will NEVER say that out loud))

* Leon’s always out of the country on some government mission so his house is probably pretty barren. He probably just stays with Chris or Claire after missions anyways

* Leon also still probably keeps in touch with Sherry and Ashley. He definitely went to their respective Graduations to support them at least

* He likes to collect little trinkets from his missions. Rocks, lighters, photos etc

* Other people have put this on their Headcannon lists too but I also agree that Leon is a MASSIVE Foodie

* The way to his heart is through a really good breakfast

* He’s also got a massive Sweet Tooth. Again, courtesy of other Headcannon lists

* He’s got low blood sugar so it probably evens out

* ALWAYS coming home from missions exhausted. In fact he’s exhausted on the plane. On the car ride there. DURING the mission. He’s an eepy little guy

* His T-Shots also make him Very Hungry All The Time. He thought it’d even out after a year of being on Testosterone but over a decade later and he still eats like a teenage boy

* ((It’s ok though cuz Chris always has his fridge stocked full. It might just be for Leon who knows))

* Leon’s not really either a Cat or a Dog guy. He likes both equally and would definitely have one of the other if it weren’t for his work

* He also prefers warm weather :))

* He likes to go swimming with his friends whenever he gets the opportunity

* Everyone makes fun of Chris for his Hawaiian shirts but Leon ABSOLUTELY has way too many as well

* Wears socks and jandals. I’m from Aotearoa NZ I’m allowed to say that ok

*BIG Mitski & Lana Del Rey fan

*I also imagine he probably likes older music like Madonna or Bowie or Blondie

* He’s not very good at it but he likes to paint his nails

* Or he just lets Rebecca or Claire do it for him

* If he goes a long time without cutting his hair either he’ll also put it up in a lil ponytail :)

* He’s got a big ol toothy, lop-sides grin.

* I recon he also involuntarily bites his tongue when he’s genuinely smiling too

* I said before he keeps trinkets and stuff from his missions but he absolutely keeps more personal mementos too. For example;

* He bought himself an old Spanish version of Don Quixote for Luis

* He keeps his old cop uniform in his closet

* He stole Chris’ shades and never returned them

* Still has one of Adas missing rings, etc etc etc

* Similarly to physical objects, Leon also picks up on the habits of people he’s met from his missions

* He always double-checks the barrel of his gun after he’s seen Chris do it so many times

* Holds his knife in his left hand after Krauser

* Very rarely smokes on occasion to remember Luis

* Picked up more Advanced First-Aid after Rebecca ((she also insisted it would be helpful))

* I could go on forever

* Leon can’t imagine ever actually being able to settle down and retire because of his work, but if he could, he would love to be a Father :))

* One last silly one cuz this list has gotten surprisingly serious; Leon unironically references Vines All The Time. It will drive everyone around him insane

- He'll start paying you more attention (even more than he already does) and would probably just sit there and stare at you with a blank face. He often does that, saying he's admiring you and your beautiful face. Don't let it fool you this time though the gears are turning in his pretty head.

- Although when he's satisfied and get outs the idea of you both breaking up, he calls you to him and asks whats wrong?

- Was it something he had done? You will have to reassure him that, that was not the case. Even though he doesn't show it that much. Hell no one would get even the slightest idea if something is bugging him unless he shows it himself. That's how good of a control he has over his emotions.

- Ultimately though, through that conversation you come out to him.

- "Oh. That's it?" He kind of thought all kinds of sad stuff mainly losing even you so he's just relieved, because he has lost so much and he doesn't want to lose you too.

- But once he sees your hurt expression, he's quick to give you assurance.

- He'll tell you that it doesn't matter to him. He fell in love with you, not your gender or body.

- He's quick to ask of your pronouns and if your ok with others knowing he'll announce it in the ADA and ask them to call you with your correct pronouns.

- So , basically he takes it well.

- His first reaction is stunned silence. Give him a moment he's shocked. He's never been in a relationship before you. He didn't believe he could be in love or have a good friendship much less love, so he's pretty new to all this and doesn't know how to respond.

- But he's quick to get over his shock, and scrambled to find the right words.

- He went kinda of rambling how it was totally alright with him and he was glad you could tell him.

- You have to calm him down. It's just it's a big thing for him okay. He's had this cruel view of the world. And for you to trust him so much to tell him something like this, he thinks he fell in love with you even more if thats possible.

- Even better if he's the first person you come too. He couldn't be happier. He's a sweet ball of sunshine, and loves you very much.

- You both cuddle on the couch after, eating popcorn and watching some random movie you both probably have watched a hundred times.

- You start of by giving him hints rather than telling him directly. You wanted to see what his reactions would be and go off on that. That was a bad move.

- You knew Akutagawa could be dense at times with a single minded personality-and you loved that about him- but now was really not the time to have that.

- Your hoped for that vanished when you got literally nothing out of him. He really was oblivious to it.

- You ended up telling him directly after failing for the upteemth time.

- His reaction is not much mainly because he doesn't exactly understand the concept or importance like he knows what it's about and the gender dysphoria and all but, you'll have to explain it a bit to him.

-But even with his lack of understanding, he's a sweet boyfriend who's got you covered.

- You want to take harmone therapy, he's with you to get you to the doctor.

- You want a binder, you'll have it the next day. Not just a simple one though, he's going to get you of every colour and shade, he'll review all of them just to find the most perfect and comfortable one for you.

- And he will threaten to kill anyone who says even the tiniest bit of this in the wrong way.

- He won't admit it, not to you or to himself but he has a soft spot for you and only you. No matter how much he may deny it you have his 'evil, twisted' heart in the palm of your hands.

HELLO TY FOR THIS ASK

i have so fucking many aus so i'll ramble about a few

my latest one takes inspiration from this post and it's basically, dazai takes in atsushi and the akutagawa siblings, but realizing he can't really find a job to support all of them at once, he decides to go and (try to) reopen odasaku's favorite curry place. there are a few issues.

he is Not a great cook

atsushi can only make chazuke

aku and gin don't know how to cook

the place is kind of a mess

so eventually he goes and calls up chuuya and he's like "hey, you know how to cook, can you help me" problem is, chuuya's pissed at him bc THIS is when he calls him again and it's not an explanation of why he left, not a "sorry for blowing up ur car", not any of that, it's just another favor. so his immediate response is "fuck you, no" and dazai has to nag him into coming and helping, this being via taking some random pm member for hostage and specifically requesting that chuuya come pick him up

chuuya does indeed arrive, but he also breaks dazai's nose, so dazai ends up vaguely explaining with an ice pack on his face lmfao. this bit is what i have planned most vividly and is hopefully? gonna be a fic i publish. but also, later, ranpo ends up at the curry place and is like "damn you live like this" and dazai replies just kinda, "either order or get out" but ranpo offers him a better job (that being working at the ada), and while he hesitantly agrees, it's only a part time thing for the first bit. also although i haven't decided yet i think he might also end up finding kyouka before the pm gets to her and tachihara before the hunting dogs find him bc i am weak to 1. found family 2. BIG found families.

chuuya is absolutely fucking baffled when he runs into dazai during an ada job, btw.

"i thought you ran a fucking curry shop" "i do that too" "?? what the fuck" "it's called being a PART TIMER chibi" "i'm gonna break your nose again"

anyway next au!!

cowboy au (btw, they still have abilities) where nathaniel is a travellng priest looking for a doctor to cure margaret who's deathly sick, and he hasn't really been having any luck (he's been searching for months to no avail), and eventually at this one town it's like.. it's late at night, nathaniel's thirsty, he heads to the bar to get some water. nikolai promptly swaps their drinks, nathaniel drinks something really strong and passes the fuck out, wakes up to being in an inn room (with noteably less money) and storms the hell out of the building just to find nikolai petting his horse and acting all innocent about doing anything. nathaniel just tries to leave, nikolai follows, and they travel like that for a bit (occasionally trying to kill each other) before they get the third member of their dysfunctional little party

do you remember that one kid fyodor killed?

this little guy (karma), is a pickpocket who steals nathaniel's bible in the hopes of selling it to get food. the two find him, both kinda realize his situation and while nathaniel is about to point him in the direction of the town's local church nikolai goes "fuck that" and just straight up kidnaps him, and they keep traveling. nathaniel and nikolai are mutually, regrettably, falling for one another, but this just manifests as more murder attempts, to the point that one night, nathaniel tries to strangle nikolai, nikolai wakes up and strangles him back, and when nathaniel passes out he fucking dreams about nikolai and is HORRIFIED. things only get worse and gayer from there and i also think they go on a train at some point.

karma's enjoying the horse rides at least, and there's some other characters that show up though tbh idk who besides this one dazai scene and gin at one point

okay this other au is shorter, but basically: ada kajii. this is built off of SO many headcanons, but essentially kajii's backstory is just the lemon short story. except that kajii never found lemons, bc instead kunikida (his old friend/school friend that fell out of contact with him) reaches out, they become friends again, and so when kunikida joins the ada, so does kajii. kajii works as a clerk bc, like, he doesn't. know he has an ability. Oh Boy Does He Get A Surprise during dead apple

okay i was gonna talk about my eternal winter au but that would be an essay /lh

SO instead!! shiburan au, an au i never. properly named beyond that it's a shibusawa x ranpo focused au. also co owned with my bestie @feralshadowdemon <33

basically, yokohama is a smaller, calmer seaside town, no abilities or anything. shibusawa moves in, working at the pet shop across the street from this coffee shop that's connected to a bookstore. the coffee shop is run by (most of) the ada, and the bookstore is run by yokomizo; mushitaro and poe work there. the members of the ada who work at the coffee shop are fukuzawa (he owns it), ranpo, kunikida, and yosano. dazai is fukuzawa's newest adopted kid, and ran away from home. (he was living with mori (and elise) before) yosano Understands his situation, having done the same years before.

ranpo starts going over to the pet shop a lot, both bc he's running errands (fukuzawa owns three cats) and bc he likes talking to shibusawa. they eventually exchange phone numbers and start texting. in the background of this, btw, is soukoku: they had a messy breakup years ago, they act like they don't like each other, etc etc normal skk things. the flags are a biker gang who are alive and well here, and chuuya hangs out with them a lot. dazai is a bit jealous of them, ranpo knows this, and so when chuuya starts volunteering at the pet shop, ranpo brings dazai along on an errand run so the two run into each other again. they start talking again, slowly bonding again by virtue of wingmaning shiburan

dazai and aku are just. they are just friends here :)

aku and tachi are friends!! also higugin is real

the akutagawa siblings live with hirotsu

fukuchi is the hunting dogs' dad; except for tetchou, who's jouno's boyfriend. he has stricter parents.

fukuchi here is a retired military veteran AND ex movie star. his movies are awful /aff

shibusawa has a pet cornsnake named draconia

odango is engaged here but oda travels a lot so they haven't got married yet

ango works in an office in the big city, but he visits dazai sometimes. they are friends

bramcraft is married, they adopted aya

kyouka and kenji also live with fukuzawa!! twincoded tbh

kyouka has narcolepsy

He was the first person to not poke fun at you for your "childish" interests!

One of his favorite activities to do with you is to mess with Kunikida of course!

Dazai’s already a handful for Kunikida but now you’ve joined forces… oh boy this poor man is never gonna catch a break…

He can never avoid them. No matter how hard he tries.

Poor Kuni… it’s so funny though. You and Dazai are laughing, even as Kunikida yells at you.

Outside of the ADA…

The first time he saw you get emotional?

He came back home from a long mission, a mission that almost killed him!

When he walked in, the first thing he saw was his sweet, sweet belladonna crying on the sofa.

He didn't waste a second rushing over to you and asking what was wrong

Before he could process it, you were already on top of him, hugging him with all your might!

"I-I missed you s'much Samu..." You sniffled into his chest

His eyes were slightly wide, but he couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

He coo'ed(?) at your words and gently rubbed at your back, allowing you to let it all out.

"I know, Bella, I know..." He smiled down at you

Once you come back to your senses and notice how your tears soaked his shirt, you feel so embarrassed

"You- *sniffle* -you'd better not go around telling people this! I'll... I'll kill you if you do!"

He promises to not tell anyone and keeps his promise.

Everytime you allow yourself to get emotional around him, his heart melts!

He's so proud of you for opening up to him, and he's so proud of himself for being a good lover!

He never judges you at all! In fact, he can be childish himself sometimes.

You wanna go on a shopping spree for plushies? He’s absolutely giddy! Holding your hand and buying whatever you want!

He gets jealous when you cuddle the plushies instead of him though

He’ll happily go with you to arcades, amusement parks!

He spoils you so rotten

A late night together would probably be you two eating popcorn, snuggling against one another, and binge-watching a marathon of a random cartoon show as you two drift off to sleep.

small update: I made a Twitter account!

yes, I finally caved and made a Twitter lol mainly bc the username I wanted was actually available so I couldn't really say no...

the reason why I decided to make one is bc I'm experimenting with what I'm calling "mini fics", where I write unedited ramble-like stories versus how my normal fics are formatted and thoroughly edited. in a way, I think this will give me the freedom I want right now to just babble into the abyss, so I like it a lot!
