So weird looking back at all those like pre-Epilogue @bladekindeyewear et al longposts grappling with like Gnosticism and shit and how English is the Conductor because he has a lot of Will and the story is about Will and Ultimate Riddles and shit and Rose was wrong and SBURB is neutral at worst and literally Good itself at best and characters are tools you can literally make whatever point with and you don't have to resolve any of them (and even they never defend Jane and Jake's endings)
and then you look at @thelifetimechannel and @clonerightsagenda and @geejaysmith and how they said "Alt-Calliope is the Conductor, the story is about rebelling against these cosmic forces, Rose was right, SBURB is obviously incredibly evil, the *story* is the enemy, characters should have good endings because it's Not That Subjective' and it's like I Don't Know Which One Of You Actually Understood The Themes Of Homestuck Less But By G-d What These Two Have Made Is *Better* Than What Hussie Ever Would Have.

Whoever did the animation for Act 7 is a master of their craft. Absolutely beautiful lighting, movement, composition, and color. I can only dream to achieve such artistic skill.

so caliborn broke his death clock right after ascending, and that’s why he can’t be killed by normal means? i’m guessing that he somehow used the little homestuck house juju to do it, and that’s how he ended up changing its nature.
muse callie definitely did something to the green sun, turned it into a black hole, maybe? cherubs definitely have something to do with black holes but i don’t exactly remember what. the green sun had a little twirl at the end of it just like the symbol callie had dreamed of her whole life and i definitely screamed a little bit at that.
i’m guessing what happens after vriska releases the house juju is that it creates like, a portal, and allows everyone to step through from the lilypad to where vriska and the ghosts are fighting lord english. and if he was in fact being powered by the green sun (via doc scratch) then i’m guessing he’s mortal now and about to get his face kicked in by every single character
also your mandatory terezi update: only character i did not see on earth somewhere near the end so she must be out looking for vriska

(there will still be a post tomorrow to keep on track)#The original 3 panel comic idea was fine but the point of this new schedule was to take time to push myself a bit more.#I was taking a look back through some comic artists I felt inspired by#and I really loved how Lynda Barry fills her gutters with patterns and doodles!#Obviously I'm not going as absolutely wild with it as she does but it was a great exercise!#I truly think the gutters are the most important and most overlooked part of any comic. There's lots going on in that space.#It's the same with timeskips. The implied movement between moments that we don't see changes depending on how wide that gap is#You're here for the funny tags so here's some that ties this time talk together:#I think LWJ was thinking about that second note from day 2 but it took him 7 days of hazing to commit it to paper.#I think he sends it a day later and immediately regrets it. Chasing down the messenger and everything.#You know if something actually happened to his brother he would never ever forgive himself for putting the bad vibes out there.#Third time skip was the hardest because there was so many possible flavours of jokes here. Day 8/9 was a personal favourite.#day 14 was also funny (week by week). I think the debate on 'how long does lwj take to catch feelings' is more or less:#'how long does it take for him to arrive at a particular stage of grief and yearning (and awareness of it all)#This is a symphony. There is an act by act structure. Every day he is fighting to keep his old sensibilities. He is losing so badly.#(I'll be returning to the main comic soon but there is more of this AU to come!)
