Queeringthemap.com Study
Hey! My name is Reese and I am currently working on a thesis about Queeringthemap.com and queer archival memory! As a part of this research, I want to hear from you! I am seeking participants who would be interested in having (roughly) hour long unstructured conversations about your experiences using Queeringthemap.com, how you feel about posting, reading posts, and its existence in the world as a collection of queer memory. These will occur over a video call and be recorded with your consent.
The only qualifications to participate are: you must have used Queeringthemap.com before (even just visiting the site counts!), self-identify as 'queer' or LGBT+, you must be 18 years or older, and you must be located in the US. Additionally, I am able to provide a $25 incentive for an hour of your time!

The actual Mary Magdalene
I will never forgive Pope Gregory I for what he did to Mary Magdalene and how she's been demonised for years because of it. Mary Magdalene was never a sex worker, and was one of the most devout women within the Bible. SHE WAS RIGHTFULLY AN APOSTLE, St. Thomas Aquinas even called her the Apostle to the Apostles, she only got a specific saint day (not a memorial day) in 2016-
Mary Magdalene has been destroyed by history, which she never deserved.

To say that ‘John dressed and walked to town’ is not to give a single motif worth remembering; but to say that the hero put on his cap of invisibility, mounted his magic carpet, and went to the land east of the sun and west of the moon is to include at least four motifs – the cap [D1067.2,] [D1361.15,], the carpet [D1155,], the magic air journey [D2120,], and the marvelous land [F771.3.2,]. Each of these motifs lives on because it has been found satisfying by generations of tale-tellers.

I'm curious. what job would you do if money was no object (you just automatically had an income you could live comfortably on)? including work like volunteering, studying etc. please share in the tags :)
#under this premise part time work is valid too!#personally i think i'd probably study. maybe do another masters maybe part time across two years this time#if i were to do a job job i think i'd try out working in a library (ideally an academic library). which would technically be more studying#since i'd need to get a library qualification first#i'm just very curious what people would choose if it was purely a choice of what appeals to you over the practicality/necessity#talking
