Sitting here waiting for the numb half of my face to figure itself out after getting some dental work and thinking about how the boys all handle their shit at the dentist.
Under the cut because I'm sure some people don't like talking about dental stuff.
Time - Incredibly mistrusting. He hates being in the chair, will stand awkwardly in the doorway until it’s absolutely necessary that he takes a seat. Unless he gets to WATCH the dentist pull up the numbing medication from the bottle he will refuse any injections. Can and has sat through fillings without procaine before. And Time has a fair number of fillings, seeing as his dental health kind of fell to the wayside during his teens. Also has a dental implant or two. It's easy to lose teeth in his line of work.
Twilight - Goes to the dentist every 6 months because he knows he needs to, but doesn’t necessarily relish this. Luckily he takes such good care of his teeth that he hasn’t needed anything major done. The hygienists all fight over who gets to take the cute cowboy each time he comes in. So much blushing and "thank you, ma'am"-ing that it gets the entire office distracted for the afternoon.
Champion - Will sit straight-backed and stiff in the chair, staring straight ahead the entire time. Instant compliance with everything the dentist asks ("Open your mouth." "Spit." "Turn this way."). Even if he white-knuckles the arm rests, he’s not going to complain or flinch for anything: not injections, not drilling, not cleaning. He’s in good oral health for his age.
Warriors - Gets all the dish on the office drama every time he goes. He has his One Special Hygienist that he requests specifically for each cleaning. The day he is diagnosed with a cavity, he is disconsolate and needs a box of tissues. He takes a lil something to take the edge off before his filling appointment and refuses to leave the office without a face mask to hide the fact that half of his face is drooping. Resents being swollen afterward.
Sky - Is the asshole who hasn’t gone to the dentist since he left home, gets berated by Sun until he finally makes the appointment. He dislikes dentist visits quite a bit and definitely has a wide-eyed look on his face the whole time, is much too chatty with tools in his mouth, and at the end is given a clean bill of health despite his lack of conscious upkeep. Jerk.
Legend - He let his oral health fall to the wayside during his early teens and didn’t pick it back up again until after he started living with Hyrule. Consequently, he’s needed a fair amount of work done but he takes it like a champ. What, like it’s hard? He’s had road rash that hurts worse than this. Just pops in his headphones and vibes while his face gets numb.
Hyrule - Has religiously seen the dentist twice yearly for quite some time, although often it's more than 6 months between visits because life is like that. He and the dentist compare notes on patient stories and treatment options. He usually has some case he wants to consult with them on anyway. His coffee addiction means that he’s had a fair number of cavities as he’s aged. Definitely has fallen asleep in the dentist’s chair.
Four - Doesn’t like the dentist, but doesn’t hate it. Is very specific about which hygienist he sees, absolutely refuses the ultrasonic cleaner, and is pretty meticulous about most things, including his teeth. Has definitely played with the canister of laughing gas when left alone in the room, and now they don’t leave him alone in the room anymore. Hasn’t needed major work done yet.
Wind - If this kid could pay someone to go to the dentist for him, he would. He goes only when he’s having a problem and then bitches and bellyaches that he needs work done. He pesters someone into going to his appointments with him so that he doesn’t have to do it alone, and they usually get sweets after, defeating the purpose of dental care.
Dark - Nope. No. Absolutely not. He would need to be heavily sedated for any type of dental work, and even then someone would need to bring him to the office and stay with him the entire time to make sure he doesn’t just up and leave. The chair, the masks and goggles, the gloves and tools, the light over his face, it all brings back bad, bad memories for him. He has a mouth full of veneers and is pretty good about his teeth mainly because he never wants to see the fucking dentist, ever.

(〇o〇；): What is their body language like when they are stressed? Do they try and hide the fact that they are stressed? How do they recover from said stress?
ಥoಥ: How are they like when they cry? Do they just stream tears nonstop? Does their nose get clogged to the point that it’s hard to breathe? Is it easy for them to speak when they are sobbing? Do they hiccup when they cry?
and for Max specifically- (ꈍᴗꈍ)ε｀*): Do they prefer kisses on the cheek? Forehead? What about neck kisses?
Stress body language (all):
Max: Tends to be closed off. He'll fold his arms across his chest, roll his shoulders/neck a lot to try and relieve some of the tension that builds up. He usually keeps to himself, but will express to his closest confidants in private settings to try and see if he can't come to some sort of resolution. Recovery usually happens in the form of archery practice or tinkering with his elemental mines/traps/snares etc. Or sex. He does sometimes use that as a form of stress of relief
Fox: Gets antsy and a bit snappish, he'll shift his weight from foot to foot a lot and is easier to rile up. Doesn't express to very many people aside from Halla or his partner if he has one. Recovery/relief is figuring out a way to remove said stressors or taking a nap and ignoring it for a bit (the second option doesn't work as well)
Eli: His hands shake and he struggles to focus on just about anything. Doesn't like to talk about it because he doesn't want to burden other people with his problems. He tries to relieve/recover from being stressed by brewing healing potions, counting inventory in the infirmary, or preparing herbs for use in various mixtures.
Nate: A lot like Max in that he closes off. Folded arms, avoiding eye contact, clenched jaw, slightly hunched posture if it's bad enough. Absolutely does not talk about it because he doesn't think anyone will care. Relief is hard, recovery is harder, and he doesn't really have any solid methods down yet.
Crying (all):
Max, doesn't honestly tend to. He learned young that crying never helped, so he kinda forced himself to stop. His eyes might shine extra bright if he's close to tears or upset enough, and his voice will get thick, but he doesn't actually cry much.
Fox: Gets hard for him to breathe, he struggles to talk clearly, and he ends up with damp sleeves from trying to wipe away the tears as they fall.
Eli: Absolute mess, he's not terribly loud, but the tears are basically non stop, he hiccups when he tries to suppress other noises and if with someone he's comfortable with, he just full on ugly sobs and takes a while to calm the hell down.
Nate: It takes a lot to make him cry, so it's rare that he ever does, and if he does it's because something has broken and he doesn't know how to fix it yet. When he does cry it's silent, and the only way to notice is if you're looking at him to see the tears on his cheeks and the utterly empty look in his eyes
Kisses (Max): He likes both forehead and cheek kisses, but if he had to choose, forehead is best. There's just something warm and comforting about those that he really likes. Neck kisses are very, very nice and he loves them. 10/10 will make him melt

Misha made a comment about The Boys over the weekend and I'm going to be so angry if he's cast on the show. I love the show and I don't want him anywhere near it, the whole cast on The Boys is so talented and I don't think Misha has the skill to keep up. This may be harsh but I think he's a lazy actor, he doesn't put any effort into his roles, it was bad enough on spn but I expect more/better from The Boys. Also, there are already 4 spn alumni in The Boys universe, that's enough.
Yeah, I totally feel you on that. It would be absolutely unfair to The Boys as a show and its stellar cast, which do not deserve to be dragged down by stunt casting actors who don't have the ability to justify the choice.
However, and I've said this when it came up before - including the time that another anon was rightfully peeved at a minion equating Misha's acting as Lucifer to Antony Starr's as Homelander? (I wish I was joking.) There is a mean little part of me that would actually be okay with it. Sure, Kripke, go ahead and do it. Put Misha in a scene where he has to try and keep up with Antony Starr, with Karl Urban, with Laz Alonzo, with Colbie Minifie, with anyone and everyone on that cast. I personally don't have a problem with casting any number of SPN alums that can keep up, but Misha?
Misha would either have to step up 1000% more than he has in years or be utterly humiliated by how obviously outclassed he was. This is the guy who did a grotesque gurning pantomime of Mark Pellegrino's mannerisms to play Lucifer when literally no other SPN bodyswap worked that way. The guy who decided the best way to do not just The Empty as a different character but apocalypse world Castiel as a different character was ... cartoonishly bad accents. Not even to mention what was presumably his best attempt at emoting during Castiel's goodbye scene, because hello nightmare fuel. I don't think he started out completely incapable as an actor, but I agree that he hasn't bothered to put the work in for years because nobody cared so long as he remained a "fan favorite" shipbaiter who could eat up screen time to get J2 enough time off. So yeah, if nobody involved had better sense? I would find a certain amount of glee in him thinking he could just coast his way onto another Kripke show and then falling flat on his entitled, egotistical how-dare-people-actually-expect-me-to-audition face.
Most of his stans would never notice, too busy writing fanfic in their heads about shoving his character at Jensen's, but the whole rest of the world? Including anyone not-a-minion who might consider hiring him? Well.

we cry "the innocent women and children" to appeal to the masses, to try and force their sympathy, but the men and boys are innocent too.
I have seen sons crying out for their mothers, their fathers, their siblings. I have seen them break down at the loss of their families. I have seen them cling to their dead and grieve.
I have seen fathers cradle their dead children, seen them kiss their faces and hold their little hands. I have seen them faint with grief when asked to identify the dead. I have seen them carry their sons and daughters. I have seen them fasting to provide what little they can for their families.
I have seen men and boys digging through the rubble with just their bare hands, I have seen them comforting strangers, playing with children, rocking them, hushing them, even if the face of such imminent danger. I have seen them cry, seen them grieve, seen them break down into each other's arms, seen them be selfless, beyond selfless, becoming something I don't have a word for.
I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.
the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

Starting to think a cooler headcanon for Clark’s upbringing might just be that the entire town of Smallville collectively decided to just go with it and accept that Martha and John's kid has superpowers, but we don't talk about it.

A report just came out from a Palestinian hostage saying he was strapped with bombs and sent into a Hamas tunnel, with Israel prepared to blow the tunnel up with his body if fighters were found inside and yet people are still making the “Hamas uses human shields” arguments that have been confirmed to be a myth with no supporting evidence

-Max is the sort of guy who likes to sing along to the radio, especially when he's driving. Thankfully he has a decent voice, and can carry a tune, so he's not half bad to listen to when he does it
-Eli can actually sing very well. He just...doesn't.
-Nate has a lovely low pitch when he sings, but it's not something he does often, if at all because he doesn't really think to
-Fox can't sing for shit and he knows it. Won't stop him from belting out his favorite tunes at the top of his voice whenever he can get away with it. He's terrible, but he has fun anyway

I just know hellers are going to be angry after they read Eric Kripke interview with Variety. To know jensen would have been down with doing a love scene with Anthony but wasn't welling to do one with Misha.

Everyone kept asking, ‘Why aren’t they having sex?’ And I said, ‘Just watch. You’ll understand why. It’s an important difference to what we’re doing with our characters,'” Kripke said. “And they’re just like, ‘They’re afraid to do it!’ I mean, listen, we weren’t afraid to do it. Like, if you’re asking, can we put Antony and Jensen in a love scene together? Both are down and I’m down to shoot it! No one had any problem with it. It was the pesky story point that they’re father and son, which is why we didn’t do it.”
The great thing is that there are few people in any fandom who deserve to be shot down as much as they do. I hate that their likely impotent frustration is probably going to ultimately blow back on the actors somehow, but I still do love seeing their stupid so explicitly refuted.
Jensen was always very clear that his problem with the idea of their ship and their bi!Dean theories applying to canon was about knowing his character, his character's relationships, and his character's sexuality. They refused to believe their stupid ship fantasies weren't part of SPN canon, though, so it had to be that Jensen just hOMoPhObICaLLy refused to do teh gay categorically!!! Nope. It just wasn't in character for Dean. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
