One of my favorite parts of the Warhammer 40k novel "The Fall of Cadia" was when Jarran Kell sacrificed himself to get Castellan Creed on a ship. He faced Abaddon by himself and he knew he was about to die so Abaddon was like "You're going to die in front of your friend without honor" to which Kell says "You're going to kill me with the same blade that Horus touched the blood of an angel, what greater honor is that?" Abaddon then goes "Horus was weak and a fool, I am better than he ever will be." Then Kell, with just absolutely Titanic balls, responds "You keep saying how much you hate Horus, then tell me why do you dress like him?"

Bitch just called Abaddon a cosplaying fanboy to his face before dying.

Abaddon's figure is 15.6 cm tall, so Abaddon's height (including armor and topknot) is 280.8 cm, or about 9'3".

Horus' figure is 24.3 cm tall, so Horus' height (including armor and wolf pelt) is 437.4 cm, or about 14'4".

Why do people call Abbadon a failure?

The first half of it is old memes, because he had to do thirteen crusades, meaning he failed twelve of them. Haha.

The other half is cos GW are fixated on trying to make him come off as extremely intelligent, threatening and capable without giving him any meaningful gravitas.

Sure the first twelve crusades didn’t work, but that was for REASONS and PROPHECIES and ABADDON’S PLANS. And look! He blew up Cadia and the galaxy split in half on the thirteenth! Sure, it resulted in loyalist Primarchs coming back, Cawl ushering in a new age of technological evolution, the Custodes mobilising and the Emperor’s spirit waking up, but… it also has had NO tangible or lasting detrimental effect on the Imperium’s fight against chaos! Whoa!

But yeah. In all seriousness, he’s not more or less impressive than any other big chaos character. He’s not better or worse, it’s just that GW is really obsessed with trying to jerk him off while simultaneously undermining his supposed impact, so he seems to fall a lot flatter than the other antagonists.
