-makes you seem serious and professional, like checking stocks and stuff
-you can say "I'll go check my backlog" in public, without people assuming things™ (see tags)
-the online definition on C.D. is oddly threatening, and fear is a powerful motivator ("a large number things that you should have done before and must do now")
Hobbyists! Mini painters! Lend me your ears.
Y'know how we call our unpainted/unbuilt minis our "pile of shame"? Well, I think we need to change that. And the answer lies with the fiber arts/quilting community. Because they call their piles of unused fabric/yarn/other string their "stash."
This is superior for the following reasons:
Pile of Shame
- negative, aggressive, puts you in a downer frame of mind
-guilt is a terrible motivator
- adding to it makes you feel bad when acquiring new stuff should be fun
Stash
- mysterious, exciting
- what wonders will I find there?
- reminiscent of dragons which is an automatic plus
So yeah, from now on those sprues are my stash and I get to pick treasured from them, instead of having a cloud of grey plastic sadness in my basement.
