[TW: rape, non-con, dark]
There's something about stray dog's behavior that speaks König to me.
He'd been kicked around, ridiculed, and left on the cold pavement alone. He had no real house, and had to beg even for a scrap of food. Those were the factors that forced him to grow teeth way earlier—and sharper—than he's supposed to.
He'd held the bitterness in his heart, causing him to despise the weak, the poor who couldn't stand up for themselves. The perfect replica of his past self.
He hated seeing them, he'd even go as far as 'taking care' of them. Letting them know that no one would help them, no one would come to the rescue. Just like what people did to him back then.
He recognizes his contribution to the vicious circle, yet he finds himself helpless as he's unable to break free from it.
Perhaps that's when God decided to punish him for it.
There's a mission that required him to work together with the other team, and met with the reprisal for his bad deed, in the form of a medic.
He didn't spare a glance at her, didn't acknowledge her existence, until she defended her patients in front of him.
One of the missions went wrong, causing the soldiers to be injured by gunshots and a grenade. It was theirs to blame, because they didn't pay attention enough, but she shouted at him, telling him if he'd given them a deserved break, it would've been avoided.
He, of course, was angry at her.
He told her she didn't know anything, that she's hindering the mission. But she didn't flinch, even when he growled at her.
It frustrated him, because even his glare would send his soldiers running. Yet it didn't work on her. The people who's not afraid of him are usually those in power, but she isn't one of them. She's just a mere medic.
He tried to kick her out of the team, but the higher ups told him that there's no one available for her replacement. He also tried to make her quit, but what he did came back around to him, as he received a penalty.
It stresses him out, to the point that he'd overwork himself to distract him from his thoughts.
One day, a bullet passes through his heart and lungs, causing him to collapse on the spot.
In daze, when his consciousness slips in and out, he thinks how he could've easily avoided it. But his body wasn't listening to him, delaying his feet to move back.
In what feels like months, he opens his eyes for the first time after the incident.
What he sees, is a pale light on the ceiling, and a blurry figure by the bed.
And there she stands, just like the angel of mercy.
She doesn't say much, except for telling him to rest, and that he's lucky he survived.
She tells him the same thing for days, before he can muster two words out of his mouth.
Shut up.
And strangely, she smiles.
"Seems like you've recovered well." She responded, "Welcome back."
She continues to nurse him, despite his snarky remarks that she easily deflects. She takes care of him with patience that should've withered away from the moment she joined the army.
It shouldn't have bloomed in front of him.
For the first time in his life, he feels the weight of his guilt on his chest. He could've been kinder, could've been softer, and he would've broken the cycle just like she did. But he chose to nurture his anger—just like his father, and his father's father.
Then again, she could've gotten it easy from the start. Though in his heart, he knew it's just an excuse for his behavior.
The day he's permitted to work again, he left without saying thank you.
At night, he wonders if she'd come to hate him as well. No one would blame her if she does, but deep in his heart, he hopes she doesn't.
Since that day, he has followed her like a lost dog. But he would turn his head away whenever she looked at him.
Sometimes he scoffs at himself for thinking about injuring himself, just so he could receive her care. Yet he couldn't help but panting at her feet, lapping up every little conversation they made. He wants to surrender himself to her, letting her put a collar around him and call him hers.
And it's all because she showed just a little kindness to him.
On lonely missions, or lonely nights, he often imagines what they could be. Living in the suburbs, white fences, and kids. The picture perfect of the marriage.
Until it all shatters on the ground.
It's not his intention to eavesdrop, but he couldn't help but lean in when he hears her voice. She sounds happier, as she shows her friend the ring on her finger.
So he bares his teeth,
And bites.
(One time, his uncle had to put down their dog
Because he bit his children for no reason—
Other than jealousy
He heard the dog whined
on the cold table,
alone, and scared
As the vet slowly pushed the poison
Into his bloodstream
And God, how cruel is it
To put a heart inside of a beast
When all his life
He only knew
How to bite?)
He pants as he presses himself into her, causing her to whimper, as her voice is long gone from screaming and crying.
She must've had no idea of what's coming to her when he called her to his office. The scratches and bruises on his body were enough proof of her gullibility, that she came to him, unassumingly, and trusting.
He had her bent over his desk, smothering her easily with his body as he forced himself into her. She was a fighter, but not strong enough to defeat him.
He had lost his inhibitions, as his back arched for the eighth time, spilling his seeds into her.
And she's lost as well, as her eyes were unfocused, and all her energy had been zapped from her body.
"Leave him." He said, as he drove himself into her once again.
She lets out a high-pitched moan when his cock stretches her open again, filling the room with sticky sounds.
"Leave him and love me instead." He said for the second time, and she cried in pain when he buried himself too deep.
"Love me," He sobbed as he pulled the ring out of her finger, knowing fully well he couldn't replace it without twisting her arm. "Please love me."
Her tears flood her cheeks as she watches him discard the ring from her, before latching his mouth onto her shoulder. Marking her with another bite, drawing yet another blood with his teeth.
He knew she had closed her heart the moment he slammed her on the table. He knew she wouldn't come to love him. But if he's not loved by her, then no one should.

A lot of people wonder why Zane's sixth sense became less prominent over time, and a number of theories have been thrown around without the fandom ever really reaching a consensus on the matter. So allow me to throw even more gas on the fire by adding my own speculations into the mix!
Looking at the timeline, Zane's sixth sense began to decline shortly after being rebuilt. Of course he did still experience visions for a short while thereafter - the vision of the titanium dragon being an iconic example of this - but then his premonitions gradually became a scarcity over time, to such a point that Jay straight up didn't believe him when he had that vision in s11.
So why did that happen? To answer that question, we first need to talk about Pixal.
In the season 4 episode "Versus", Pixal states that she is fascinated by Zane's ability to dream, and has "always wondered what that's like." Implying that at this point in the series, she wasn't able to dream.
Tumblr media
However, her dream sequence in season 11 "A Cold Goodbye" demonstrates that at some point between s4 and s11, she eventually developed the ability to do so.
Tumblr media
(Side note: it makes a a little bit emo how Pixal used to think dreams were an amazing thing that she longed to experience - but when we finally see her doing so, she has a nightmare instead.)
Within the context of canon itself, Pixal's dream in this episode is the only instance throughout the series of a nindroid having a non-prophetic dream.
...or is it?
Let's take a closer look at that dream, shall we? Most importantly, the part where Zane slips from her grasp.
Tumblr media
Pixal is holding onto him, but she loses her grip and he falls into some sort of vortex/tunnel of light and cloud. And yes, of course, my Pixane-loving heart is aching at the sight of this - but pay close attention to the appearance of the vortex itself.
Look familiar? No? I'll give you a clue.
Tumblr media
Yeah, you're seeing that right. The vortex from Pixal's dream is uncannily similar to the Never Realm portal that opens up at the end of that same episode.
For those of you who haven't seen s11 in a while, allow me to clarify exactly why that's so remarkable: Pixal had this dream before they opened the portal, before they even knew Zane was actually alive. Somehow, within her dreams, Pixal managed to construct a replica of the Never Realm portal without even knowing it existed.
Like, really sit and think on that for a minute. Pixal had a dream in which Zane falls into a strange vortex that just so happens to look like the portal to the Never Realm. Y'know, the same portal Zane got blasted through just an episode prior. Without Pixal herself being aware that this had happened to him.
Do I think it's a coincidence that Pixal's dream just happened to represent Zane's true fate with an eerie level of accuracy - that he hadn't died, but instead been lost in a portal to another realm? You're certainly welcome to think so, but I sure don't.
So here's what I think happened: in season 4, Zane placed Pixal's neural drive into his processor. From that point on until season 7, they effectively shared a brain. Maybe the experience of sharing the same mind for such an extended period of time caused them to inadvertently...share Zane's sixth sense as well . Maybe it slowly began to split between them. Zane's ability would slowly decline over time as portions of it bled into Pixal - while Pixal slowly developed the ability to "dream", unaware of exactly what that ability entailed.
This would explain a number of things:
Why Zane's premonitions become much more scarce from s4 onward.
Why Pixal is suddenly able to have dreams in s11 when she wasn't able to before - and why that dream is so uncannily prophetic.
Why the Scroll reacted to Pixal. Given the fact that it didn't react to Kai, we can assume it doesn't do anything when someone without any kind of power holds it. which suggests that Pixal has some kind of power (be it prophetic or otherwise).
Tumblr media
(Of course, that last point is dependent on the validity of certain interpretations of how spinjitzu, forbidden spinjitzu, and elemental power work within canon. And yes, you can rest assured I have theories for that too. But I'm still fine-tuning the kinks to that theory, so don't ask me to explain just yet.)
If this is true, I highly doubt anyone has realized that this premonition-sharing happened at all. Zane probably just assumes his decline in prophetic ability was caused by the spiritual damage he sustained in his fight with the Overlord (which is another viable theory), and Pixal simply assumes that her newfound ability to dream is a result of her developing humanity. Meanwhile the rest of the team is none the wiser.

nakshatra observations p1 ✩‧₊˚
punarvasu, chitra, rohini, anuradha, shatabhisha, ashlesha, mrigasira
Tumblr media Tumblr media
✩please don't plagiarise! the following is my own research and observations, so if something doesn't resonate please let it go✩
punarvasu nakshatra 。⋆ boundless imagination
this star relates to the idea of repetition & patterns that occur within the concept of other things. classically symbolised by arrows being placed upon a quiver over and over again. or the idea that ruling deity, goddess aditi is recognised to be the mother of her own father. unity and wholeness cannot be broken in punarvasu nakshatra
this nakshatra prominent in a person's chart usually indicates someone with a boundless imagination and a youthful curiosity for conceptually complex thought. it is a beautifully intricate star which resembles our desires to explore the great wonders and awes of life. i imagine these people becoming so lost within an immersive day dream that they can easily lose sense of reality. however, their strong sense of nostalgia tends to wash over and refreshes them, finding themselves once again. punarvasu natives are usually highly sentimental and fond of reflection
chitra nakshatra 。⋆ beautiful ingenuity
this star relates immensely to the design and talent it takes one to create beauty, typically in it's physical forms. ruling deity, visvakarma is often described as the chief of detailing and designing. he is who is talented enough to create palaces, cities, weapons, jewels and even replicas - quite literally anything you can think of, beauty and wonder is embossed in it's formation
i often notice that these individuals have such a keen eye for beauty and detail. their ability to create anything beautiful and aesthetic is expectational, no matter what it is they may wish to create. they are the types to even go to such lengths of adding little details where no one will even see it, they are truly dedicated to their craft. additionally, women with this star prominent can literally embody physical beauty and have an amazing sense of physical adornment, but of course that is not all there is to her. she is talented and multifaceted woman x
anuradha & shatabhisha nakshatra 。⋆ love vs lust & the celestrial nymph
one interesting aspect of these two stars is that their ruling deities mitra & varuna share mythological affinity. anuradha’s deity mitra is god of day-time & shatabhisha’s varuna is god of the night-time. these deities exemplify love & pleasure as a polarity in it’s higher & lower dignities. the story is as follows, the two deities once were of a singular body when they met urvasi, a celetrisial nymph & made love with her. mitra & varuna sepearted into two bodies as there was disagreement, mitra sought after the nymph for selfless love & varuna propositioned urvasi for sex & selfishness. urvasi desired mitra although varuna became too excited & ejaculated too early - urvasi felt bad & birthed varuna’s children through an artificial womb
anuradha resembles the highest order of adoration, love & devotion. another thing to note is that shatabhisha is not primarily a sexual star, it just has sexual & lustful potential. although, in this story the star of shatabhisha portrays it's lustful & pleasure seeking side. anuradha is all about companionship & mutual union - it is a beautiful star to be born under. anuradha people are usually adored and admired lovingly, shatabhisha people may simply be lustful or ignite these lower desires in the minds of others. i also find it fitting that the birth of varuna's child was artificial, as other research of mine correlates this star to the idea of parasocial relationships (will get into this in a different post)
rohini nakshatra 。⋆ red-girl
rohini’s ruling deity is brahma, the forefather & god of all creation. when rohini’s context is taken into sexual regards there are some impurities present. brahma being the god of creation had once desired to create his own wife in order to reproduce, his other children had protested against this idea as his wife was of his own creation. brahma became ashamed of himself for pressuring her. brahma discarded his body & created a new one to wash away impurity of thought. his old body lived on as a fog of danger & darkness
rohini nakshatra is the star of fertility & creativity, passion & beauty. the word rohini means red-girl, symbolising a woman’s menstrual cycle or the blushing or rosy cheeks of a woman. all is well in rohini for creativity, imagination & fertility but there is some other aspects to this star are not so favourable. rohini nakshatra may at times attract the wrong kind of attention & affection. women in general can become subjected to other’s infatuations & desires that are shameful, wrong & impure. this dark side of rohini resembles insidious external influence that comes way toward women
extras 。⋆
punarvasu & ashlesha nakshatra 。⋆
people with these nakshatras prominent in their chart usually love cats! they are the types to probably identify heavily with being a "cat person" as clique as that sounds. i find it so cute how pushya separates these stars, a nakshatra that symbolises milk
rohini, mrigasira & ashlesha nakshatra 。⋆
these stars are all symbolised by serpents. the most flexible and movable among all the relevant animal representatives, and also the only one without four legs. for this reason these people have the potential to become talented and amazingly hypnotic dancers! even if they don't dance, they may move and walk in a very mesmerising way

Yandere N. Italy, with a darling who’s somehow afraid of him. The reasons for her fear are unknown, but for example, when he tries to interact with her, she becomes visibly scared, and when he tries to get near her, she runs away. Though in general, she tries to avoid him at all cost due to her fear.
Tumblr media
He doesn't really understand why you're scared of him. In fact, no one does. People would understand if it was someone like Russia that you were afraid of, but definitely not Italy. You're just the only one who can see right through him.
You've met people like him before and know just exactly who he is. It's almost like he's keeping his eyes closed so you wouldn't see the evil lying underneath his smiles and goofy nature.
You avoid him like the plague, but somehow he always seems to find you in the most unexpected of places. Like a demon. Italy swears he just wants you to like him. He likes you a lot, so why don't you like him?
Italy hates that you're scared of him. He will do anything and everything to get you to like him. The others will think that his whole act is very adorable. How he latches to you like a puppy, trying to follow you everywhere and do anything with you. You can only manage to shake as this parasite continues to torment you at any chance he can.
You better do what he says. Otherwise, he'll cry and make you look like the bad guy in front of everyone. He already does. Italy has everyone believing that you're the one who's acting out of line and that you should give Italy a chance. Just how can you be so cruel to a man like Italy!
He leaves heartfelt gifts for you every day. Just how the hell did he know you've been eyeing that necklace? It's only been two days since it was put on display! And the love letters that follow his gifts. Anyone would think that they were the most romantic thing they've ever read, but can only tremble and double-check your locks every night before bed after reading them. In fact, you couldn't read them anymore after a month of receiving his love letters daily and took to just throwing them out now. It's just too creepy when the man you're afraid of most writes about laying in bed with you or how shiny your hair looked the other day when you didn't ever see him.
You nearly scream when you notice your gift and love letter on your kitchen counter instead of the usual, right outside your very locked front door. Just how many locks do you need for him to leave you alone?
The more you resist him, the worse Italy will get for you. You've tried talking to someone like Germany or Romano to take care of Italy for you, but they were nothing more than empty promises or arguing that you're just paranoid and looking into things too much. Italy is so sweet, he could never be capable of such horrible things.
Things have gotten so bad for you, that Italy will take to showing up in your house almost every morning. You nearly faint every time you see him there no matter how many times he does this. All the while his eyes are closed and his smile is as wide as ever.
"It's a good thing you know to regularly change your locks, (Y/N). Anyone can make replicas of your keys or break those cheap locks"." "
Every time Italy breaks into your place you wake up to him being closer and closer to you.
The devil creeping closer to his next helpless little victim,
In the kitchen making breakfast. In the bathroom right across from your room; Preparing your daily bath. You most for sure screamed the day you found him in your bed snuggled up against your backside. And with only his boxers on. You lost it.
When you scream and cry at him, Italy will have turned on a show of waterworks himself. He just can't take the one he loves the most yelling at him. Why can't you just love him just as much as he loves you? Or at least, stop being so scared of him. He only wishes to shower you in love.
____
Honestly, I loved the idea of Italy being a hardcore, scary, manipulator. He could easily have others wrap around his finger. Especially Germany.
Italy can be a really terrifying and deadly yandere. ❤️

okay I read the good omens screen play / shitscript and....... it was something. here are a good idea of what happens there, for those who dosent want to read it
if you don't know what the shitscript is, it's basically a script for a scrapped good omens movie written only by Neil in 1992. it's very different from (I think) any other media/adaptation we had of good omens. apparently neil HAD to make Crowley evil, but I don't know much about it...
tw: abusive crowley
so:
Crowley owns a night club. (yes, Lucifer style)
Aziraphale works as a museum curator.
Also, Crowley cheats in every chess game and wins, making that Aziraphale never won (rather cruel if you ask me) and he hates earth. like really despises.
the plot starts with Satan (here he is more like his sandman/Lucifer2000 counterpart to be honest, even being called Lucifer MORNINGSTAR at some point) gives Crowley the antichrist (Adam).
Crowley is supposed to take care and raise Adam, but when he came back to the club, he put Adam in Madame Tracy's bag to talk to his employee.
Madame Tracy takes Adam home unknowingly. (yes, she will be the one raising him)
Crowley has a fucking panic attack seeing that he lost Adam (also he's fucking pathetic. why didn't he just chase the taxi. stupid).
He drinks alot to calm himself, and then Aziraphale comes into his club and asks what's wrong
Crowley explains (more like spilled) to him what's happening, and Aziraphale decides to help him find Adam. With the condition of being able to make Adam good.
Also theres Anathema. As a child she feels (?) that the antichrist was born.
11 long years of azira and crowley looking for Adam in every city offscreen later............
Anathema goes to tadville (the place where madame Tracy and Adam live) looking for something. she is convinced there is something weird happening.
Madame Tracy's the only one who accepts to rent her a room.
In this version, Madame Tracy's is the "crazy old lady who was hot when she was younger but now she's oooolddddd and craaazy" which is problematic (at my vision)
Adam basically takes care of everything around the house, the bills, breakfast.
Adam resembles more Warlock than Adam from the show... He sometimes is unnecessarily rude towards others, but I think that makes sense with the fact that he had to be so responsible all the time.
He dislikes Anathema at first. But they grow to be friends over time.
theeeen.... Satan calls Crowley again and they talk about the antichrist.
Crowley says that Adam is evil just like him and beautiful blablabla, and then Satan takes a look (using DemonicPowers™) at Adam's face and is very pleased.
Then Crowley comes back at his club and has another panic attack.
Aziraphale visits him again, and again asks what's wrong.
Crowley explains that he met with Satan again, and sarcastically says that he told the truth.
Aziraphale takes his sarcasm seriously and (I think) he was happy that Crowley at least was honest.
Crowley then simply says (and I quote directly) "you are so.... stupid.... you don't deserve to live. I didn't tell him anything. If I had, do you think I'd be here right now?" which is just... damn
azira gets sad and then Crowley basically says that he knows what Adam looks like and azira suggest that they should go to one more town. just one more.
Crowley gets ughhhh fine and they go to Tadville.
Then we get a scene of Adam taking Anathema to his hidden place and showing her his miniature replica of tadville. he says some creepy things about how that in mini tadville everyone does what he says, it's all his.
In the next day, Crowley and Aziraphale go to Tadville. they start looking for a room, but some lady heard Crowley calling Aziraphale "angel" and goes homophobic mode.
Everyone doesn't want to rent a room to them, except Madame Tracy.
Then Adam arrives with the groceries and Crowley immediately recognizes him. Him and Azira take a stroll on the beach, and Crowley says that he's very grateful for Aziraphale.
Aziraphale says he isn't going back to London and Crowley simply says "well, we found him, i don't need you anymore" and Azira reminds him of their agreement of making Adam good.
They invite Adam to go with them for a day in London, and Madame Tracy authorizes much to Adam's content.
They go to London, and in the museum, Azira shows Adam the beauty of humanity and all.
When Adam goes to the car, Crowley tells him that humanity is being above everyone, not caring for anyone (basically, that evil talk etc)
When they get back, Anathema discovers through looking into a crystal ball and seeing Adam's face that he is the antichrist.
Then, Adam goes to talk with her.
Anathema tries to stab him, but she psychologically can't. And she tells him he's the one who is going to end the world.
Adam gets scared for his life and runs away to his hidden place.
Satan transformed his place into a magical scenario full of games and fun and talks with him.
He basically convinces him to enter his side and Adam (who is very fragile because anathema just tried to kill him) agrees.
Basically, the town turns into a huge theater with everyone acting like puppets.
Satan thanks Crowley for raising Adam, and grant his wish of letting him go to Alpha centuri.
As Crowley is waiting for the next comet, Aziraphale goes to him and tries to convince him to help humanity and heaven.
Crowley basically says "hell nah im not helping you"
Aziraphale says "but we are friends."
And Crowley simply replies "Were." :)
Theeen, Aziraphale challenges him to one more checkers game.
They play, and Aziraphale finally wins. But only after cheating.
They find Anathema and she gives them the knife.
Aziraphale enters in full angel form (white clothing and all) and goes to talk with Adam.
Aziraphale basically does "reflect about it" talk to Adam, and Adam seems to not care.
Crowley then goes to Satan and says "I'm not going anymore" and Satan turns him into a snake.
Aziraphale interrupts and points the knife at him. Satan simply desintegrates the knife and hurts aziraphale.
Adam after seeing Madame Tracy's puppet form and reflecting about what Aziraphale said he decides to take a step back and fix things.
He goes to Satan, heals Aziraphale and transforms Crowley back and basically says "I'm not going." and turns everything back to normal
Satan is like ??? and Crowley simply says "wait you didn't rebel to your father too?"
Satan laughs and disappears.
everything ends well
theeee end :3
well, it's not the worst thing in existence but certainly not the best.
good omens but the aziracrow is the most toxic yaoi ever.

okay, so Raiden Shogun sex-doll? what if the old models were beginning to thin out and to keep up with demand, the Teyvat Company decided to start replicating the dolls/androids from scratch? Now there's the serious (and extreme) setting, Raiden, the stern but kind Ei, and the gentle setting, Makoto.
imagine buying a used shogun model, one of the replica models, which you've been told by the previous owner has some malfunctions. they say that a friend of theirs working for the company was able to give them one of the "defective" ones for cheap or free before it got trashed, that the Makoto setting can't be turned on and only has the Shogun and Ei settings available. When you buy it off them, you think that would be the only issue, until you find out that the Ei setting/personality had somewhat absorbed the previous owner's otaku-like personality and now prefers to stay in the doll's "consciousness", going over downloaded mangas and light novels while the Shogun setting is almost always active (which may be the reason why the previous owner decided to sell her).
From time to time you may see Ei activated late at night, somehow with the knowledge of your laptop password, going online on your computer trying to find new content. If you ever want to activate Ei, you have to coax her out with bribes of sweets and new mangas and light novels that just came out, while the Shogun, who has already gotten attached to you, tries to convince her inside their "consciousness" to not go.
tw - unhealthy relationships, mentions of overstimulation, marking, and possessive behavior.
i think it'd be a little fun if the reader wasn't aware the 'Ei' mode was active at all - so, if they just thought the Shogun was the only functioning setting, and thus, didn't even bother to look into what Makoto and Ei were like or learn how they tended to behave. you're not overly concerned. you've always liked your partners a bit rougher, a little more stoic, so you're more than happy with a hard dom whose idea of aftercare is throwing you over her shoulder and making sure you get a shower, something to drink, and some rest with all the love and care of... well, a robot. having a few other options might be nice, but beggars can't be choosers, and it's hard to be dissatisfied when her hands are on your hips and her mouth is latched onto your neck and you've lost track of whether you're pleading with her to slow down or speed up or stop altogether. it's hard to care about what you don't have when what you do is already more than enough.
but, she does have some strange quirks you can't really explain. the Shogun rarely smiles, programmed to never show any kind of fondness towards her user that's not explicitly asked for or more gentle than a hand on your wrist or an arm dragging you into her lap, and yet, you'll find her sitting on the edge of your bed at night, smiling as she gently cups your cheek. she's supposed to be a little stuck-up, too much of a professional to bother with 'human frivolities', but you've seen her flipping through your light novels, eyeing up your manga collection, occasionally leaving notes for you that are just too... well, anything to really sound like your Shogun. occasionally, something will slip out while you're speared on her fingers or going brain-dead on the new attachment you bought for her last week, something a little too gentle, a little too considerate, and you'll have to wonder what you're really doing - or rather, who you're really with. you've noticed that the Shogun, when she is acting like herself, is a little more hostile, too, a little less willing to comply on the rare occasion you ask her to do something, a little more eager to leave as many marks as she can while you're too blissed-out to stop her. you don't have any other companion droids, so it's not like she can be jealous, and she doesn't really seem to be malfunctioning. it's just...
it's just, she's acting like someone else, and she really, really doesn't seem to like it.

would you be up to explain the differences between canon Henry and your headcanons for him? Fandom interpretations are always so different I never know what’s common knowledge and not lol I’m intrigued
Hello! I'm not good at explaining stuff, so excuse any mistakes I might make. I might also misinterpret canon as I am only human, and my memory can fail me at times.
Also, with my headcanons I'm going to get deeper with some events and plotpoints instead of just giving general personality analysis.
The most important thing about canon Henry - for me - is that he is possessive - in a way.
You can kind of see it reflected in Charlie, who herself is pretty possessive of her things, memories and experiences.
Henry cannot let go of things and people he lost, it's natural, but his obsession is off putting even to his loved ones. He never lets go of Charlie, the diner, or the pizzeria.
He might have left Fredbear's, but the building remains where it was, the stage still inside. The springlock suits remain, allowing William to go on with his crimes.
He moves and opens another pizzeria. He makes a robot replica of his daughter, whom he cannot love properly anymore but clings to selfishly. He makes himself believe that she is still alive, only to rage when he realised she is… not. He can be somewhat cruel in his entitlement. Negligent, distant and utterly miserable after the tragedy.
He must have known it was William who's commited the crimes, police knew, after all.
But I don't think he would ever say anything against him.
He wouldn't want to lose anyone else; anything else, after all.
In the games, though, he is equally depressed but seems almost vindicitve. Driven. Quite literally, he spends the rest of his life hunting William down, possibly not even sure if it makes any sense.
To be honest: it's even possible that he knew all along that William was alive inside the suit, that he was the one to lock him in that place for 30 years, behind a wall. Maybe he wanted him to suffer; maybe he wants to be the one to decide whether and how William is to die after what he's done.
After William gets out, Henry lures and hunts him and the others. He doesn't even care that he is hurting his daughter in the process.
He drags all the Aftons, as well as Charlie, into his big suicide mission. He cannot be sure they will pass; cannot be sure that Michael wants to. But he makes the decision for everyone.
I don't think he considers the spirits human at all - he is much more concerned with his vengeance as much as he likes to talk about setting them free (he fails, after all).
I think Henry resents the whole Afton family, using Mike as a tool.
As calculating as William, what a match.
In my own headcanons - yes, Henry's got that violent streak and low empathy - he doesn't get people.
He's big, strong and loud - can be intimidating.
He's way more social than my William, but people still fing him mostly unpleasant to be around. He is nice; a real family man, loving and trying. But he is ultimately just as awkard as his book counterpart and similarly single-minded as the game one.
Awkward around kids, distant at times, mainly concerned with things he seems to enjoy.
I imagine that Charlotte loves him a lot, and he loves her too, but as she grows up, so does the gap between them.
In my personal aus and headcanons Henry was in love with William and got his heart broken by him multiple times but clings to those feelings, and even after getting married, he cannot let go.
He and his wife get a divorce soon after having Charlie - she stays with her mother but sees him on weekends. He was supposed to have her over for a week every 2, but he is burying himself in his work.
He is overwhelmingly unhappy.
The diner and working on the animatronics brings him joy - he loves it - but he needs to deal with seeing William every day of his life, getting mixed signals and his hopes up, before being rejected again and again. Ironically, William thinks he is the one being rejected. Henry is possessive of his work (his whole life) afterall, so he excludes him, leaving him to the paperwork.
Anyways, his whole life is work, work and more work. He is much more invested in the Afton family affairs than his own, spoiling William's children as much as he does Charlie, wanting that life - wanting a big, happy family.
When he doesn't stay late at work he drinks alone at home.
He meets William outside of Freddy's at times. Sometimes, they go private. It's nice, and it hurts to be toyed with. It hurts that the man he loves seems to treat it as entertainment, from Henry's perspective at least (Later, I have to write down William's take on things).
He drinks until he knows that Charlie is coming home, and then, he tries to be fun and a good father, and he is.
But Charlie is smart and notices things.
Charlie likes William; they're very similar personality-wise.
Henry drinks more, considering what could be.
After William loses his wife and is left with the kids, Henry is ashamed because he's considered going to him, asking if they could try again.
He doesn't, instead helping with the kids, being particiularly close with Michael.
Just like Charlie is close with Will, Mike is close to Henry.
And Mike talks, and Henry sees what William is going through and what he does to the kids.
He tells William right away that he shouldn't worry about work and should focus on the kids (should not speak of her in present tense) and their well-being.
They argue.
Henry considers breaking their partnership up just to force him to actually focus on his family, he thinks William is being ungrateful, irrational.
He wishes he could punch him.
When 83' happens, it gets worse.
Everyone is off.
William's parenting gets worse. Henry feels forced into this decision. William doesn't talk to his kids, he is consumed by work, and when he isn't, he does God knows what in the privacy of his office. He makes mistakes, is messy. Smells of alcohol even at work. Snaps at clients, barely talks to Henry at all.
Henry considers breaking it all off.
Charlie dies.
Henry feels stupid for ever considering firing William - distancing himself from him - as he cries into his shoulder.
They cling to each other, and Henry thinks he knows. But who else does he have left? His ex wife, who looks at him with disgust? Whom he never felt close to at all? She blames him; Charlie died under his care, in his restaurant, and so soon after Evan's death, too!
She is right, of course.
He is disgusted as well.
When Elizabeth dies, he is sure that William is behind everything, and he confronts him but ultimately doesn't do anything with it. Doesn't tell anyone or go to police.
Only after William disappears, leaving Michael under his care, Henry grows hateful of him. Processes everything and turns bitter, vengeful.
Michael looks like William, and Henry lets him live under his roof, but they are not family anymore.
Henry drinks more - his days are a blur.
He feels pathetic and cruel, but doesn't care. Mike is in and out of the house, clearly not apprieciating his company.
He gets it, but he resents him for it.
He is just like his father.
He wants William, wants him dead, wants both William and himself dead.
He only starts caring again when, years later, Mike comes back home, no longer human, and with new information regarding his father.
It's then that Henry fully commits himself to revenge.
The rest is usually pretty similar to how game Henry functions but his obsession with William is both hatred and longing. He hopes they will burn in hell together.
Usually, in my aus, they somehow get back together: they cannot get rid of each other, but in the main thing, yeah, it ends up just like in the game. With a blaze.
In short, he is gay, sad and cannot handle human interaction. Also dependent on William to the point when he cannot function.
Sorry for the text being so long and somewhat incomprehensive. I might be wrong and I might be cringe, but I am free, and these are my takes!
Hope you enjoyed anyways.
SO
Book Henry: loving but sad, possessive/obssessive, distant and negligent. Somewhat selfish. A broken man.
Game Henry: Mad and tired, vindictive and cunning. Will do anything to fullfil his goal, willing to hurt innocent people (for example pizzeria guests) to get his revenge.
Au/Hc Henry: Depressed, dependent and angry. Cannot make a connection, something in between both book and game one with some additional spice.

I would like to put forth a headcanon for the approval of the Sonic fandom.
Shadow the Hedgehog is the ultimate life form.
To quote writer Evan Stanley (from memory), "He doesn't like when people question him because he fully believes in his own hype. 99% of the time he's right on the money and can make good on whatever he thinks he can. He's just that good."
One might say a creature like him has no fear.
I say he has no fear... YET.
Because I am of the firm opinion that, even if unspoken, Shadow the Hedgehog is moments away from finding the one thing that truly scares him.
That thing is the possibility of Sonic the Hedgehog time traveling to the past.
Allow me to explain...
In 1993 (give or take) Dr. Ivo Robotnik creates his masterpiece. It is far stronger, smarter, faster, and deadlier than any of his other badniks. It is so powerful that it at one point it was able to defy its intended purpose, usurping his creator and wreaking monumental havoc on the earth. One could theoretically say it was designed to be the ultimate life form.
The primary inspiration for this entity was Sonic the Hedgehog.
In 2022 (give or take) Dr. Starline, a protege of Robotnik, creates his masterpiece. She is designed to be stronger, faster, smarter and deadlier than anything Robotnik had made in the past. She is so powerful that she is able to defy her intended purpose, break out on her own, and has the potential to wreak monumental havok on the earth. One could theoretically say she was designed to be the ultimate life form.
The primary inspiration for this entity was Sonic the Hedgehog.
Decades before EITHER OF THOSE TWO, Dr. Gerald Robotnik creates his masterpiece. He is designed to be stronger, smarter and faster than anything on earth. On multiple occasions he has lost his memories and forgot the promise he made to his best friend to protect the earth, and was so powerful that he had the capacity to destroy it. He was specifically designed to be the ultimate life form.
For reasons that NOBODY HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT since the day he was released from G.U.N.'s stronghold, he looks UNCANNILY like Sonic the Hedgehog.
Time travel exists. Shadow's done it, or even if '06 reconnected itself out of existence the fact that Silver is here is living proof that it's entirely possible.
The idea that his existence was inspired by Sonic is something that keeps him up at night. It is entirely irrational and yet he knows deep down that if he does not make Sonic swear up and down to never time travel to the past it WILL somehow happen.
In fact even if he does make Sonic promise that, it's still probably going to happen anyways.
That thought terrifies him.
That he, Shadow the Hedgehog was not the original.
He's just an elaborate replica.
Or in other words.
A fake.
I cede the remainder of my time.

Case: The Roundtable Hold
I was half expecting Melina to come with me, but I arrived here alone.
Can't say it made the best impression. Whole place had an air about it. Like gathering at the mansion of a dying relative, one whose fortune was lost decades ago and only the house remains. Not enough servants to keep a place this big from going to shit, and none of your cousins would ever stoop so low as to picking up a broom and trying to straighten things up.
Hrm. That hypothetical got a little too specific to be anything but a memory.
Central hub
Tumblr media
The centerpiece was a massive Grace on the titular table. Instead of the piles of bark that I've gotten used to, the base was a bunch of weapons, though they still seemed to be sprouting roots. On closer inspection, it was all one solid hunk of metal. Even the "roots" were cast.
A replica of some historical event, perhaps?
The main area was a large circular chamber with statues and a fireplace. Along each wall were alcoves containing real weapons, probably long past the point of repair. Brought to mind the alcoves in that catacomb, like whoever did this was symbolically burying war itself. Maybe they thought the death of war was the same thing as peace.
I'll do all the profiles later, so here's just an overview of my interactions.
Gideon Ofnir seems to be the de facto leader of the Roundtable Hold. Must be important, since the voice mentioned him while I was dead. He offered only the most cursory of greetings before making sure that I knew my place. Sure, I'll play ball. You can be king trash of garbage mountain if you want.
Brother Corhyn is an itinerant monk. Seems friendly enough, but a bit too blind to his faith. I mean, he literally wars a blindfold, but there's gotta be some holes in that thing. Offered to teach me Incantations, but if I ever had faith, I'd lost it long ago.
Diallos is a dandy in the worst way. Handsome, noble, and completely useless. That armor of his had better have a hell of an enchantment on it, since it looks about as flimsy as filigree. He asked me if I'd seen his lost servant, but I guess the thought of looking for her himself never entered his pretty little head.
West Wing
Tumblr media
Two wings extended off the central room. The west wing was mostly inaccessible to me, with two chambers blocked off. Guarding one of the doors was an...individual who didn't offer their name and I'm not even gonna guess at their gender. Their armor looked to be made out of hardened pitch, with bones embedded in it.
They didn't speak a word, just silently judged me for even being here. I decided not to bother them and left.
East Wing
Tumblr media
This one had more activity. First thing to note was a monstrous blacksmith, hammering away at a pile of weapons. Introduced himself as Hewg. I asked him about the chains and he said flat-out that he's a prisoner, and I guess that's something we both understand. He that he said he's fine being a prisoner as long as he doesn't have to think about, "The terror of her." Now that's interesting. Wonder who he's talking about?
The side room had been converted into a sumptuous boudoir. Its sole occupant seated expectantly on a soft bed. She introduced herself to me as Fia, and I recognized the name immediately. Between my death and revival, the voice had singled her out as important somehow. She invited me to sit beside her and, well...I'd better move on.
A staircase led to a storeroom below, but I couldn't progress any further. One of those gargoyle statues barred my way, and I still don't have a key.
Tumblr media
At least they gave me a clue. The one in the tomb had two empty slots, this one has just one. The other imp statue has a small, daggerlike object stuck in its head. Made entirely of the same stone as the statue, but clearly a distinct object. At least now I know what I'm looking for. I'll keep an eye out for any "sword keys."
The last area is a small balcony overlooking a grand entrance hall. I'm sure there's a way down there, but couldn't see one from here.
I'm calling this one a case file because there's too much mystery to do otherwise, even if I'm not sure what it adds up to yet. Too many closed doors here, and I've gotta find a way to open them.
Questions:
Why did the voice single out Fia?
Who is Hewg afraid of?
What's the skull knight's deal?
Where is Diallos's servant, Lanya?
Where IS this place, anyway?

i have a bad habit of dumping au or 'what if THIS happened!' bunnies onto people so i have a dsmp one for you, also its really long i am so sorry
what if cdream, in the back of his mind, always knew that XD had made him? His whole purpose was to bring together and maintain the peace and family like nature of the server. Too whatever lengths it took. The original Dream, the manhunter speedrunner the eight were close too became the server that universe, thats why its call Dream SMP. XD was created by the server to maintain it, XD created this puppet replica of Dream so his friends could live there, their friends could live there and their family and friends.
after the vault, cDream knows hes too damaged to keep fullfilling that purpose. Philza and Techno get the vibe that Dream's given up. They try to help him regain that, but Dream has accepted that as soon as he's in reach of one of XD's anchor points, such as the End Portal, XD will most likely undo him and remake him. A different version of Revival. HE doesn't tell Phil or Techno this at all, why? it doesn't change anything, and they would try make so it did.
Then Punz shows up, in a rare moment that Techno and Phil are gone (syndicate meeting? ranboo's still dead and dream is almost refusing to even try to get better) and takes Dream to that End Portal. Following Dream's instructions to his End. They show up, holding this broken puppet man and XD appears. Neither XD or dream speak, but XD lays their many hands upon dream, like a mother upon her child and says "Sleep, You Have Done More Than Earn It. I Will Take Care of Them All For You Now." and Dream nods and goes to sleep.
And all the Life leaves him, however you want to envision it. Techno will say like cooling corpse on a hospital bed, Niki will say like barely there steam from a fresh loaf rising and twirling away.
And Phil? Phil would say that even though Kristin stood over trying to catch the butterflies and dragonflies that left him, she couldn't. Those little creatures return to the server, along with rumors from the Artic of a Dream who's never known the rest of the SMP, who is exactly the same as the Dream the eight knew, before anyone else joined. Quietly, in the Void with the Dragon, a deity hopes that this time they'll find enough love in their to heal from the posions they fed themselves and the puppet man who had hurt them so much trying to protect them.
like an amnesia arc for only c!dream ?? am i reading that right ?
i’m picturing a dream who’s confused by the scars on his skin, who doesn’t remember losing any fingers, who’s frustrated by his trembling hands and the ache of his shoulders and hips.  he’s confused, and lost, but in other ways he’s still very much himself.  he’s sharp.  quick-witted.  he loves animals and insects and has read all of techno’s books about wildlife already.  he smiles more.  he doesn’t shy away from touch.  he has gruesome nightmares about lava and pliers and needles and infinite tnt falling from the sky and he doesn’t know what they mean.
philza would love him.  he’d teach him about history.  he’d show him how to heal, how to grow crops (not potatoes-- that’s techno’s job), how to cook, how to build.  phil already watched sam lose his memories and start a new life, so he’d surely grant dream the same freedom.  he’d be protective of this second chance, hiding him from the rest of the server because he Knows that the younger members won’t recognize what a rare and merciful opportunity this is.  at first, in the face of dream’s many many questions, he might say that he’s dream’s father or a similar arrangement.  in time, he might find a way to tell him the truth.
techno would mourn him.  at least at first.  all the inside jokes, the memories, the infallible Trust he worked so hard to build has disappeared.  losing that would be hard.  i do think he’d come to agree with phil, however, that this was probably the best option-- the kid was on death’s door anyway, so at least this way they haven’t lost him completely.  he’ll be grateful that punz had the foresight to see that.  he’d feel honor-bound to the new dream, determined to protect him, and, of course, to make him laugh.  he’s good at that.
niki finds it hard to look at his face and forget who he used to be.  it takes her some time.  punz feels the same-- there’s an ache in his chest that won’t seem to pass.  anyone else who comes to the cabins to investigate is chased away.
dream will wander off on his own, and when he finds the frozen body of a butterfly in the snow, he’ll take it home and preserve it.

I'd actually really like hearing more of your creepypasta room headcanons
LISTEN I KNOW ITS BEEN DECADES SINCE THIS WAS SENT IN BUT COLLEGE DECIDED TO CONSUME MY PHYSICAL FORM BUT HERE IT IS
Creepypasta's Bedrooms and then some Headcanons!
First off Masky and Hoodie. I feel like they would either share a room or a suit. i can see them needing to be near eachother and knowing when the other needs space. While they live in the mansion, their room(s) is very bland for the most part. The walls a beige color, with either a brown carpet, or a hardwood floor. They both have full sized beds with basic brown or white sheets. Nothing about their room screams personalized at all and most of the time they don't want to be in there.
Jeff's room is weird. It looks close to his room from before his family moved. So blue wallpaper, might be striped might not be up to you. His bed is a twin sized bed, full black sheets that are torn in some places cuz I refuse to believe this guy doesn't sleep with a knife. Theres blood stains all over that make people not want to be in his room at all. Theres one really dark one that even he doesn't like looking at so he covered it up with a carpet that he stole.
Ben's room is linked to a computer. Yup Ben lives in a computer. I fully believe this and I will die by it. That said, I think he lives in a non-glitched out Clock Town without the Moon in the sky. Everything there is just like the original Majora's Mask game minus the Moon. Thats all.
Eyeless Jack's room is interesting. I think it would be mighty nifty if this guy continued to do doctor stuff after everything happened. So he kinda has a room attached to a surgical room or a hospital type room. his bedroom area is like super small and only has a small bed and dresser, but the hospital room has a few beds or cots for bodies/other creeps so he can either dissect or patch up someone.
Sally's room is your basic little girl's room, pink walls, one wall has a bunch of little paintings on it because the Bloody Painter 100% would paint princess stuff on there for Sally because she is loved by everyone, thank you. She also has a replica dollhouse version of the mansion with little dolls of the pastas that she plays house with, the only two that she plays with by herself are her and Slender, she has to get the others to move their own dolls if she wants them moved, totally not her rules tho(they are).
Laughing Jack doesn't technically have a room but you can find him in Sally's room most of the time. Its not a creepy thing, she just happens to have created a special bond with the clown and called him Papa once and he's taken her as his own daughter now even though he hates every other kid in existence.
Toby's room is more of a safety net than anything. His ticks can get so bad that he hurts himself and adding the voices to that makes it even worse. his room is right next to EJ's room for this exact reason. Toby's room has weirdly soft carpet and his bed is just two mattresses on top of one another. He doesn't have anything hard in his room and he has to leave his hatches in EJ's lil hospital.
Bloody Painter's room is a simple white room. His bed is shoved into the corner, aswell as everything else. The only thing that makes his room special is that he has red paint smeared on his walls. And yes, it is red paint, not blood. Not saying there isn't blood stains in his room, but he doesn't like the way dried blood looks.
Creeps like Sonic.EXE, Lost Silver and Dark Link also live in similar places like Ben's, but instead of Clock Town its their own place like Lavendar Town or something.
Creeps like the Rake and BOB live in the forest mainly. They're invited into the mansion; they've just never picked out a room i guessidkwhyareyoureadingthisstill.
Most creeps, have rooms at the mansion but are never there enough to actually decorate them. They typically spend the night out at other places.

so for her name, i went with the animal breeds because i originally planned to flesh out her planet a little bit more and establish an almost animalistic society within, where the main species was like the foxians with long life spans and animal qualities like ears and tails. so calico was named after her hybrid species, a calico cat. she originally had ears and a tail and i scrapped it for a little while but now im bringing it back because i am cringe but i'm free.
tabby was named as a parallel, another cat breed, but also different at the same time. since she was a replica of calico *without* the wounds and mental scars, she's almost like an idealized version of calico. tabby is almost everything that calico could have been, and yet failed to be.
so there's calico and tabby, the latter being a replica of the original. and her older sister's name was corgi, the dog breed. i've decided on a last name for them but i don't think i'm gonna reveal that juuuuusssttttt yet. i mean, calico herself doesn't even know about her last name. her sister's baby's name was going to be lykoi, which is another cat breed and her sister's husband's name was going to be shepherd, a dog breed, but ultimately i decided not to name either because it felt like too tiny of a detail to share in a dream.
so calico doesn't hate the ipc, unfortunately. they were the ones who ultimately found her on her dead planet, and then they took care of her when she was in that coma, and then even after while she was recovering. unfortunately, most people within the ipc were just mostly curious about her state of being and not actually caring about what happened to her. she'd been exposed to a stellaron burst for over 200 years and lived on a desolate planet with virtually no food or shelter and no human interaction ( aside from,, well the aeon but does nanook even really count at this point ? ) she was far, far too interesting of a study.
you can imagine how she felt being poked and prodded and tested every single day while she was in recovery, and there were definitely some invasive screenings done that she definitely didn't enjoy, but as long as the doctor's said that they were required, she didn't question them all that much. who was she to question who saved her life ? why would she ever think about why these tests where done when they were telling her it was because they needed to properly understand her to help her ?
regardless of how friendly or not friendly she is with the ipc, she enjoys her job at the planetary protection division, and it brings her solace knowing that she could be saving someone in her exact predicament with each world that she steps onto. what she doesn't know is that her offers for help dont come from for free for these planets, and she's usually got a member or two of the strategic investment department there to handle the business side of things while she got her hands dirty and actually helped the planet recover from their crisis. sometimes these planets are able to pay for these services, sometimes they get put on a loan plan, it really just depends on how the planet was fairing. her job is to be those people who offered the ipc's assistance to belobog which gave them some of their technology but ultimately almost got them in serious trouble if it weren't for topaz and the trailblazers.
oh she absolutely compares tabby and corgi subconsciously. calico doesn't remember anything about her sister or her life before she woke up with the ipc, but her body does. sometimes she'll find herself longing for something, missing something that she can't grasp. maybe a lost memory, maybe a lost person. that feeling only grows when she's around tabby, someone who's so much like her its scary. corgi was a loud and opinionated person, and she didn't shy away from saying what's on her mind, often embarrassing calico in the process, exactly like tabby. i kind of want tabby to be like corgi in some ways, and like calico in other ways, something that unnerves calico.
tabby reminds her of someone that she can't remember, giving her a longing sense of deja vu. ratio does too, to be fair. not only did she know him from her past when he went to school at veritas prime, but in her original story, i had planned for her to be on that flight when the stellaron burst because a man had gone missing, and she was the only one who hadn't given up looking for him. that man wasn't ratio, but he was someone like him. intelligent, a little tsundere and mean, but ultimately he cared for the good of the world. calico sees this man that she had been trying so hard to find in ratio, even if she doesn't know it herself. her past will always catch up to her.
ultimately i want her to find peace. but whether that peace is a long life or.... a shorter one, i haven't decided yet. on one hand, i find it almost cruel to kill her within any story plot simply because she's survived for so long, and it would feel like all of that was for nothing just for her to die. on the other hand, she struggling internally with a lot of problems. her body is scarred, her heart is scarred, and she can't recall any memories of who she was. she had to build her personality up from scratch, while dealing with recovery and invasive testing from the ipc. her entire life for a long time became centered around her lost memories and her wounds, and that's still very much prevalent in her life, although she doesn't talk about it much.
if you look at her, you wouldn't think that she had gone through anything. she's bright and cheerful most times, with a ' we can always find a way ' attitude who's always willing to push through any obstacles to find the way forward. but those are her coping mechanisms for her heart inside. i think its mean to say it, but i think she was almost cheating death by surviving, and i think cheating death will never go right in the end. eventually its going to catch up to her, and she wont be ready when it does. she's lived a long life as a long life species, but it can always be cut short.
im torn between two options for her end :
1) nanook's power comes to her aid when she's on her last leg, but tapping into the emanator's power that had laid dormant within her tears her body apart. she'd gone through too much and her disposition was too weak to unleash such a power, and she just couldn't hold on anymore. it's a physical manifestation of everything coming out at once, and its not pretty. she dies within ratio's arms, her run towards death finally slowed down as she reached the finish line. and shes content. she'd lived too long, and too hard of a life to continue any further. she was no closer to happiness than when she started, but.. she felt something akin to happiness when she's in ratio's arms, when he looks at her. its only fitting she dies in his arms, considering he had saved her life once before, he should be there when it ends as well. in this ending, they are not lovers, and she never confessed her feelings for him, but inside, they both knew.
ratio lives knowing that she spent her last moments as happy as she could be. whether that's any solace or not is up for debate. maybe he throws himself into his work, because he could have done more. maybe he grieves her silently, maybe he doesn't grieve her at all, knowing that her pain has finally come to an end.
tabby, in the end, takes her place as the head of the planetary protection division, and picks up the name calico because no one would know the difference between the two of them. well. no one except ratio. she lives as calico, and 'tabby' was the one who died that night, not calico. this isn't the clone taking her life, this is her clone living the life that calico would have wanted for herself. and who knows, maybe ratio could even learn to love the imitation of the woman he lost, too.
2) the happier ending !! but ultimately a little less resolving. she continues her job within the planetary protection division, and makes friends within the ipc. however, the ipc eventually figure out that she has the power of the destruction within her, and they have to make a choice. a lot of people choose to support her from the shadows, like aventurine. other people, however, their loyalties lie too close with the ipc, and they cut her off, like topaz and jade. and they will hunt her down and strike her like an enemy if they see her, even if it hurts. ratio's given the choice, but he declines because he cares about her far more than he had ever cared about the ipc. aligning himself with the ipc was a means to the end, a way to spread knowledge around the world. it was not ever his goal to be loyal to the company, merely to use them for his own means.
tabby stays behind within the ipc, and she takes over as head ( you'll notice this happens with both endings, this is on purpose ) and it causes almost a rift between the people within the ipc. those who stand by calico, and those who stand by tabby. there will be some type of conflict in the end, and one of the girls will lose their lives at the end of the day. the girl who comes out of it.. well
who knows ?
they look exactly the same. they act exactly the same. they are exactly the same, just one has no trauma, and the other is a deeply scarred individual. so who knows at the end of the day which girl came out alive during that conflict, the clone, or the real one ? the ipc issues an official statement that after a thorough investigation, ' calico ' had been cleared of any suspicions of having a relationship with the aeon of destruction, and she's cleared to start working with the ipc again. ratio is obviously distrustful but maybe its better this way ? living in blissful ignorance, sometimes even the doctor of truth knows when to not search for the correct answer. sometimes life is better when you simply dont know something. all he knew was that the girl in front of him smiled warmly at him in the mornings, and she would be there when he came home from work with food on the stove ready for him. and that was enough.
alternative, secret possible ending of the second one : tabby had been the victor of that fight, but calico didn't die. instead, the aeon saved her when she was on her last leg again, but she survived bringing back the power of the emanator. now she's aligned with the shadows as a ghost, watching the world that had condemned her and waiting for its inevitable demise. after all, theres only so much one can go through before they snap mentally.
PLEASE LER HER HEAL
It's very cool that her lore is so detailed!! I'm a huge fan of stories about healing so hope she'll find her peace and survives in the end😭
btw i don't think Topaz would actually cut her off, she doesn't even speak badly about the stellaron hunters so I really don't think her opinion about calico would change, she'll just won't be as open about their friendship. plus i'm still praying for hoyo to do something with Topaz's arc and let her see that she's deluded herself about their good intentions

one particular aspect of Turbo Overkill that im fucking insane over is Teratek's role in the story.
SYN is an extension of Teratek. She's everything the society holds dear, taken to the extreme, rid of all its covers. The weak will- must- die, you have to change everything about yourself drastically to be one of the strong, there is no value in life except for the constant pursuit of higher status, more power, pushing your body to the limit to keep up with the newest standards while the rich companies glare down with you with hungry eyes.
So, Teratek creates SYN, and SYN goes out of control- except she doesn't, she doesn't do anything new, she saw Teratek's goals and sought to perfect them. Like she was supposed to do.
Teratek moved Johnny into the picture because he would die otherwise. His primary reason was money. He could not pay for life saving surgery, and the little glimmer of hope in the shape of 8 months and a "contact" was taken advantage of by Teratek. So, he does it all, out of some moral obligation, of course, but also because he doesn't want to fucking die. Not just die, but forget- have his personality wiped clean.
And the thing that gets me is that like... SYN fucking rebuilds him from the scratch, builds him a brain, gives him a new, perfectly crafted body, makes him into a killing machine- the goal he's been driven to by Teratek in the first place- and it doesn't help. He's been take apart and put back together to serve the goal of a higher authority that could not care less for him as a person, only as an asset that can be replaced, but he's still going to die.
The revelation that Teratek reconstructed his brain? Went through the effort of finding Johnny's doctor, getting the information out of him, growing a perfect replica of a human brain, just for the purpose of adding him back to their disposal?
And Maw, on the other hand? He failed to change. He sought power beyond his capabilities, he changed himself beyond recognition in the process, replaced pieces of himself until Maw wasn't really Maw, and it still devoured him in the end. He allowed his goal to consume him whole.
He's lost his humanity... hasn't he? He tries to take Johnny down the same path- "scarcely human", Maw says about both of them. He projects and tries to convince Johnny, and I think that's because Maw cannot accept that humanity cannot be boiled down to such a simple concept as flesh or metal. Because if humanity means being made of flesh, having a heart that pumps blood, then shouldn't Maw be the pinnacle of that? Stripped of his skin so his organs are exposed, encased in flesh and craving more?
Johnny has none of that, they serve as perfect opposites in this regard, and the answer that Maw poses is godhood. Is humanity the lack of an extreme? Does it reside in the perfect equilibrium between a grotesque, chaotic amalgamation of meat, and a metallic body designed with perfect purpose?
Ultimately, isn't that an extension of SYN? Teratek? To change without a care for the outcome or the reason or the means, for the sole purpose of reaching an artificially established goal?
And what's more, do all these changes make you more? Less? Why is Maw a god, but one of SYN's children subhuman, when they share the same characteristics, the same origin?
Because it suits Teratek and the mentality they and Machtek and everyone else established, and the mentality SYN sought to rid of imperfections. Change, become better, replace undesirable parts of yourself- you will always be inferior, your body weak and slow, but with this next augment, you'll be one step closer to whatever your goal is. And you'll never reach that goal, of course, because you'll either give up, or let it become all you know and eat you alive.

Thoughts on the end of "National Treasure: Edge of History" (*Spoilers*)
I'm pissed, so here's a rant while the emotions are still high (because I never learn my lesson about waiting until my emotions have settled before sharing my thoughts, and I'm not sure I ever will).
That ending was one of the most unsatisfying endings I've experienced in a long time. It's up there with the Ocean's 12 the-heist-already-happened-off-screen-and-the-one-you-saw-was-fake ending. But this one makes me even angrier, because I trusted that the big reveal of Billie Pearce's true motives was going to be something juicy and personal and complicated, but instead, it was... fascism? Racism? White supremacy?
Tumblr media
I was hoping that the old white businessmen at the company, Cras est nostrum, were the fascists, while Billie was going to be revealed to be a sort of... double-crossing independent agent, or something? like she works for the bad guys, but is ultimately working for herself, you know? I held out hope that she was going to be an anti-hero, or at least not an outright villain, so the reveal that she's actually a fascist just... disgusts me.
There's no morally gray area of white supremacy, in my mind, and yet, CZJ made it sound like Billie wasn't all bad...? Was she confused? Or was she just trying not to let anyone figure out the ending before the last two episodes, and purposefully misled the audience while promoting the show? Because, I'm sorry, but her brother dying while pursuing the treasure doesn't outweigh her/their original motive to find it? And why on earth would anyone put their life on the line to destroy a treasure that most people assume doesn't even exist...?
It just isn't a good enough explanation for me as to why Billie was so passionate about the treasure hunt in the first place, if the ultimate goal was simply to destroy it? Like, what the actual fuck? The treasure would've stayed lost if Billie just... hadn't done anything? like, the "status quo" she was so keen to enforce would've been maintained if she simply removed herself from the hunt altogether, and didn't devote millions of her own dollars and resources to try to find it...?
Her motive makes absolutely no sense, considering her passion for history and characterization as someone who collects antiquities, but ensures she makes replicas of artifacts like Cortez's sword, so as to ensure the real one remains in a museum...? I just think it's incredibly confusing and/or lazy writing to undo all of her characterization up to this point, because if you ask even a couple questions about why a woman would go to these extreme lengths throughout the show, just to destroy the treasure, when doing nothing would be the smarter choice... the whole plot of the show just... falls apart?
Tumblr media
And even if I were to ignore that, and say, yes, okay, fascism makes sense as the motivating factor for Billie here, and she is just a white supremacist who wants to destroy artifacts and erase Panamerican accomplishments/history... wouldn't it have been smarter to just kill Jess Valenzuela from the start, when she was getting too close to finding it, and then destroy the three relics as they were discovered, rather than collecting them? Nobody would've even found the treasure, if Billie had just destroyed the relics the moment they were found, which she had ample opportunity to do...?
And what's more is that she didn't even personally have to be on this hunt at all..? She had plenty of people working for her who could easily carry a bag of dynamite and blow the whole place up when they found it...? There's no point in solving any of the riddles at the location of the treasure, either, if you could just blow the whole place up...? like why did she personally have to be front and center in this treasure hunt, getting her hands dirty, committing crimes out in the open, and risking her life at every point, if she just wanted the treasure destroyed, and obviously didn't want the credit of having done so, because then she would be arrested? She's a billionaire; she can hire people to do all that dirty work for her! She could use a drone to search for and bomb the whole place! She could buy the marshland of the Devil's Swamp and either shoot anyone who trespasses on it, or just blow the whole place up while she sips her tea, safe and sound on her private jet!
Tumblr media
My point is, without a motive to explain why Billie herself needs to find it, the entire fucking story falls apart...? And her brother dying along the way just isn't a good enough explanation to me, because destroying the treasure isn't something she's doing "for him"; she's doing it for "the status quo" and because, as Salazar so bluntly puts it: "tomorrow belongs to [white people] because yesterday belongs to [white people]."
It also doesn't make any sense that Salazar and Billie work for the same secret society, with the same goal, but are actively trying to hinder each other along the way? If both of them want to destroy the treasure, why do they have such an adversarial relationship from the start? Why do the businessmen worry that Salazar might get in Billie's way, when Salazar is literally the head of their secret organization? None of that makes any sense, unless they were planning a reveal that Billie and Salazar are actually on opposing sides...and then they just...decided not to go that direction...?
...and that's not even touching on the fact that Billie's brother worked so closely with Rafael, but then, when the writers needed a fake-out, Jess "disproves" the photo of them together with the whole "the buttons are on the wrong side of the shirt" clue. Shouldn't the photo have been authentic, since Billie was telling the truth about that part? And why wasn't Billie with them for that part of the treasure hunt when her brother died?
I'm just so pissed, because Billie's backstory and motives don't make any sense to me, and I was holding out hope that that was because the writers were smarter than me, and had it all planned out. It feels like a major betrayal to discover that that isn't the case. It's like the writers didn't think even a little bit about where the story was going to end up, and just kept throwing plot twists in, without keeping track of when Billie was meant to be telling the truth, and when she was meant to be lying.
To wrap this rant up, I just want to say that my issue isn't that Billie is an outright villain, when of course, the whole show is about her being a villain; I can get on board with antagonists having unjustifiable motives, and being horrible people. (CZJ played a German spy in Dad's Army and I loved it, being a case in point). What I can't get behind is nonsensical, incoherent, illogical writing that makes me throw my hands up at the end of a show and go: "what?!"

Where Kingdom Hearts III Went 'Wrong'
I should probably open this by saying that I love Kingdom Hearts III. I love KH for what it is, and the usual "Omg it's so weird, the plot doesn't make sense, eVeRyOnE iS sOrA" thing doesn't strike me as the best form of criticism for the series.
Instead, I wanted to highlight why things got so convoluted (in my opinion, anyway, it's not like I was in the writer's room or anything). I think the direction KH has gone (and is going) serves as a good lesson for any aspiring writers out there - we can learn from these shortcomings and love a series. Wild, right?
So... where did KH3 go 'wrong'?
The writers wrote themselves into a corner in DDD. That's it. It doesn't seem like a lack of planning that came back to bite them, but rather, that they went about planning in an inefficient way.
Let's look at the conflict of KH3.
(Warning: There will be a few spoilers for KH3 ahead!)
Tumblr media
Xehanort has put together the 'real organisation' so that he can do a keyblade war reenactment, forge the χ-blade and summon Kingdom Hearts. His main goal (as I understand it, which might be very, very incorrect) is to create a new world where darkness and light can be equal, quashing the imbalance of power that is skewed towards light.
It's not a bad conflict to have. KH has very strong motifs of 'light vs dark', and having a villain fight the inequality between these sides is interesting.
The big problem is the setup behind it. The complicated, hard-to-grasp, tedious setup.
Thirteen darknesses have to fight seven lights. Cool, okay, we can see the imbalance between the sides, we have slots for our characters to fill, roles for them to play... Except, there's not enough room in the plot for them all. By sectioning off each side with neat, numerical values, the bloatedness of the cast becomes obvious.
Tumblr media
There are seven lights:
Sora has to be one of them. He's the main character, not to mention the poster child for the light.
Riku's been there since the start, plus he's had the most fleshed-out arc by far, having overcome his own darkness. He's a worthy guardian of light and a true keyblade master.
Kairi is a princess of heart and has been there from the start. This ties a bow on our three main-est characters.
Mickey Mouse. He kind of has to be there, it's a Disney game, right?
Axel/Lea. Roxas and Xion are out of the picture, and he's a fan favourite, so sure, why not?
Aqua. A keyblade master who's suffered for ten years, torn apart from her best friends... Sure, maybe a war isn't great for her right now, but she's a lost master, so she should be.
Ventus. Pure cinnamon roll Ven, newly awakened and ready to beat up some Xehanorts.
Okay, but... what about Donald and Goofy? Oh, okay, they can just... hang out with the seven lights. As moral support, I guess? At that point, why not make it nine lights?
Double but - what about Terra? He's going to be saved at some point, so he can just... join the herd. And Roxas? And Xion? Eh, they can act as sub-ins in case anyone accidentally dies.
Oh, what's that? Kairi's dead? Wow, sucks for her, call in the reserves. Wait... If the 'Guardians of Light' can be swapped out, then what's the point in having a set number of them?
It's almost like it's entirely arbitrary.
Right. So our seven lights are more like ten-ish lights + friends. It happens, maths is hard! How do our darknesses fare?
Tumblr media
The thirteen darknesses are (in no particular order):
Xehanort
Xemnas
Ansem
Young Xehanort
Terra Xehanort
Riku Replica
Saix
Vanitas
Marluxia
Larxene
Luxord
Xigbar
Xion
Somewhat hilariously, the dark side also has a team of reserves.
Demyx
Vexen
The wiki lists 'Replica Xehanorts' as reserves, but I'm not about to unpack that one
Imagine being Vexen, the guy responsible for dealing with replicas, the invention sustaining this organisation, and being benched in favour of teenage angst incarnate Replica Riku. Ouch.
By this point, you might be wondering how this use of arbitrary numbers actually impacted the storytelling. Organisation XIII only had thirteen members for like, a week, so clearly counting isn't a strong suit of Xehanort's.
It all falls apart when the writers say (in DDD):
"KH3 will be about this, where this happens, with this many people, at this specific place, so get your popcorn and buckle in!"
On its own, that's not a problem. But when there's a giant pile of other plot points to worry about (Aqua's in Disney hell, Ventus is napping, Terra is somehow, kinda sorta, three different people whilst also being trapped in heartless thingy (whilst also being a suit of armour, but not quite), Roxas is stuck in Sora's heart, Xion has been wiped off the face of the earth via memory nuke, Naminé is in Kairi's heart, Sora needs to discover the mystical (and vague) 'power of waking' to deal with half these problems, Lea and Kairi need to train, and Riku needs to go to the 'Heartless Barbershop in Disney Hell' (the most relevant plot point of all)).
What we get is a tangle of 'this can happen when this happens, but first we need to do this one thing, and to do that we need this other thing' (i.e. "To find Ven we need to find Aqua, who is evil and needs to be good again, and Sora needs the power of waking to deal with this... probably, let's put a pin in it and hang out with Buzz Lightyear").
The plot is murky. The plot is confusing.
This entire plot raises the question of 'Why don't Sora and co. just... not go?' That's a good question, which should have a simple answer (if they don't, the org will do baaaaad things, wooOOOoooOOO), but instead what we get is "If they don't, Xehanort will use the new seven hearts (because there are new ones now for some reason, but Kairi's still one of them, dw about it) instead, guaranteeing bad things... probably?"
Xehanort's a bad guy who needs to be stopped. That's it, that's all we needed. But that avenue was closed off once they said 'nah, it's more complex because of prophecies, I guess'.
So, what's the moral of this long, drawn-out post?
Sometimes, it might seem like a super cool idea to have a group of characters band together to defeat evil. Sometimes mashing them into a prophecy can seem appealing (the five great owls will do the unholy hoot, defeating the nine-and-a-half orange rats at sundown in Mississippi). But sometimes, this kind of self-restriction won't work for you.
KH3 could have just had 'the bad guys' and 'the good guys', and nobody would have to worry about the arbitrary parameters set by the writers.
Keep your options open and don't overcomplicate things just for the sake of it! It'll only give you and your consumer a headache.
.
.
.
All that being said, KH3 really delivered on the emotional payoffs so like, forget the randomly numbered groups, let's appreciate the joy that (most of) these characters are allowed to feel now.
