Jack Jack - my tav for the "jack of all trades" achievement!

My urge to info dump about an oc won so now please, meet my son: Jack Jack (I don't know how to make a good blog post on tumblr, so I apologize if the images are a little too big)

JJ wasn't born a tiefling. He actually came from a family of humans, but he has no recollection of it outside of his father and grandparents, whom he hates with all his heart

At the age of 6, his father disobeyed his patron (for a good reason, but he doesn't know that, hehe). But instead of punishing his father directly, JJ was the target. He was turned into a Mephistopheles tiefling that day, and his family was horrified. He remembers the look of pure hatred and fear from his grandparents, shouting at him, saying he was now a devil. He doesn't remember his father's face, but he remembers his fingers, pointing at the door, and his husky voice "get out"

Since then, he had to live at the city of Baldur's Gate all by himself. He had some friends, partners, and even a mentor (which the dream visitor had taken form of)... but he never got back what he lost that day: love and identity

He spent a good portion of his life, mainly his adolescence, trying to "fit in". He even cut his horns off, which he regretted later down the road as he's now more confident in who he is. Beeing cursed by a devil at the age of 6, as one might imagine, was no easy feat. And aside from gaining an appearance that everyone deemed as "hellspawn", he also gained powers. Powers in which he can not control very well, but powers nonetheless (sorcerer wild magic)

After a whole life of stealing, performing, trying out magic and needing to run because uh oh you accidentally sumoned a troll in a bar! He... well, his life continued shit, but he never gave up. He had some not so trustworthy friends, but hey, as long as they're not a devil or a warlock, he's a very social guy!

Before he was captured by the mindflayers, he was actually planning on traveling around! He wanted to get all his skills worked on. Maybe study a bit more of his magic, as a wizard.... maybe becoming a bard with his musical talent... hell, maybe he'd finally accept his calling for the rogue life! The opportunities were endless!

That is until, of course, he got a tadpole in his mind... but eh, he was planning on traveling one day anyways, so why not use this as an excuse? (definitely not frightened at all haha what do you mean?)

So far, he's really enjoying his adventure! Here's what he thinks about each companion:

Lae'zel: heh, she wants to kill me! (nervously sweating and trying to do what she says because he's terrified, but also really likes her interrogation methods!)

Shadowheart: she's hiding something. She ain't fooling me...

Astarion: he's also hiding something, never EVER trust the snobs from the upper city.... unless, of course, you want their money/sleep with them. (thinks Astarion is a less hot version of him, with how similar they act. Except JJ actually has a soft spot for children and little rascals, so he'll always help them. He's more chaotic good)

Gale: i really liked him and wanted him to teach me how to do magic safely, but never mind! He just ate my magic spear, which doesn't seem very safe...

Wyll: he makes me angry with how he challenges my morals, okay? you shouldn't be nice! You're a warlock! (has a mental breakdown watching Wyll get transformed like he did and wonders if his father was a good man like Wyll all along)

Karlach: I was deadset on killing her... turns out she's not a devil! just a person like me! i really like her (wants to kill Zariel and enter rage like Karlach one day)

BONUS:

He knew damn well what he was getting into but opened the door anyways and said he was gonna write a smut about it (he's batshit insane)

Anyways... I guess that's it. That's all I have for now, I haven't progressed much into the game... sorry if his information is a little scattered around, I don't have it organized and probably didn't mention somethings (he chose his name, for example)

I'm not including a situation where someone might be injured because in that case I'm thinking the bed goes to them by default or they are nominated for it. anyone who wants to be chatty goes to join the living room floor gang.

What are your thoughts and headcanons? Do you have thoughts on how the boys tend to approach assigning beds in inns? Who do the chain choose to sleep near when camping and why? What are their dynamics like when settling down for the night and getting ready for the day?

In "Mirror Vs Open Closet Door: Fight!" by Gintrinsic (here) Four refers to the chain's decision on how to split up between inn rooms as the "Link-per-room ratio" which I find very funny. He, Sky, and Time also talk about their thought process behind why they do or don't want to sleep in a room with some of the others which I find fun and interesting.

I can also see him setting up near Wild #in the eye of the storm as it were or just an interesting place to be. Wild and Hyrule can get to chatting about everything and anything #so if Legend wants background noise (Hyrule and Wild podcast omg)-#or a conversation he can be half a part of and jump in and out of while getting ready for the night or in the mornings-#this is a good place to be. add Wind and things get a bit more chaotic.#Wind gravitates to Wars and Legend too when curious and chatty. He gravitates towards Time when he wants something calmer.#Four tends to be near Sky or Twi or to Legend's group for the same reasons #I can see Four and Twi having a little book club going during downtimes where they talk about what they're reading. Sky likes to listen. <3 #Wind thinks they're nerds but so is he and he can't resist a good story so he orbits and sometimes settles in and peppers questions.#it's funny that Time Sky and Wars want to sleep the most but Legend follows Wars to chat (and ends up bringing people with him xD )#there could be some conflict there oooo #Twi is by Time #it's almost a circle but with clusters of sleeping bags near on top of each other and filling the gaps

May I ask what the backstories of D'Artagnan & Jekyll Hyde are? As a Limbus enjoyer and a English/french literature enjoyer I am quite curious what the city counterparts of these folk experienced.

Sure! They're still in development (especially d'Artagnan because his source material is so long and for what orz im taking my sweet sweet time with it) I took few inspo here and there from different adaptations too. Here's the bullet points for what I've got so far under the cut

Jekyll:

Was born in a nest. Basically lived a nice and cushy life

They're friends with Utterson and Lanyon. Utterson later became a fixer while Jekyll and Lanyon became coworkers in a Wing (which Wing they're working for I still have no clue so far)

Jekyll became one of the head researchers. They also kinda proposed the idea that was similar to the serum they would later use to turn themself into Hyde, but everyone thought that idea was ridiculous (including Lanyon)

Powered by repression, craving for escapism, and spite, Jekyll makes the serum anyway. And it succeeds. They live a nice respectable life as Jekyll and seek all sorts of thrills as Hyde

The events from the book happen. Utterson was suspicious at Hyde and is worried about Jekyll's safety.

Shit hits the fan when Hyde murders Sir Danvers Carew (he was one of the higher ups in the Wing Jekyll worked for. Was it because Hyde was just simply pissed off for no reason because they have no impulse control? Or they still have a grudge from that time the Wing laughed at Jekyll's proposal? Who knows)

Jekyll stops using the serum... but they relapsed. Lanyon died from shock that one time, and Jekyll isolated themself.

All the guilt and paranoia caused them to hear the voice of distortion. Instead of offing themself with poison, they ended up distorting when Utterson broke into their lab. Jekyll ran away in the form of a more monstrous Hyde, never to be seen again.

They managed to turn back into their usual form, albeit with Hyde's head next to theirs and kept a low profile. They were recruited by Limbus as part of its plan to create an experimental branch.

D'Artagnan:

Was born in the backstreets. His mom was dead when he was born, and his dad died later in his life from an unknown cause. He learned combat from simply surviving in the backstreets and from that he trained to be a fixer.

After gaining his fixer license, he tried to apply for a job at an office.

From here I'm still deciding whether he was affiliated with Cinq Association or an associate office under Cinq Association. But yeah you get the idea.

He pissed off Athos, Porthos, and Aramis unintentionally, but they became friends anyway (they were almost arrested for illegal dueling)

Basically these four musketeers were hired by this Wing too. (I'm still stumped on which Wing, but I'm thinking M corp for no reason other than the moon stone singularity and the diamonds utilized throughout the book)

D'Artagnan's first job was to rescue Constance Bonacieux, who worked as a tailor for various fixers and a higher up in the Wing. Then they started dating later on

From this point on I'm still working on it, but for sure, d'Artagnan and the three musketeers had to foil Richelieu and Milady's plans (that mmmay endanger the Wing in some way)

Milady herself was once a Shi Association fixer who later became independent. She killed Constance at some point (mega F)

The musketeers exposes Milady's plans that may endanger the Wing and Milady gets executed.

D'Artagnan's fixer grade rose while his musketeer friends resign from the job and go on their separate ways. (Aramis remains a fixer though, just in Dieci Association instead)

D'Artagnan's career remains stagnant until he was transferred to Limbus because he has all the skills needed for the job they wanted

Meanwhile Mordaunt, Milady's son, wants revenge on the musketeers for causing his mom's death. He essentially becomes part of the opposing organization similar to Gubo's league of nine

(also yes I aged up several characters in D'Artagnan's part. D'Artagnan himself and Constance remain the same age as in the book version though)

i have no idea if anyone came up with this but if you’ve heard that “chrissy wake up” song on tiktok then here’s my goofy brainrot i pulled out of my packed sack of a brain.

i randomly thought of a scene where you and a friend both get isekai’d to the sagau world and you are dead asleep while your friend is freaking out because the first thing they see is a group of characters walking up to you both with weapons in hand. (with the intent of eliminating you both because imposter au stuff yk?? wait but the friend is innocent. maybe they’re an accomplice in their eyes?? you know what let’s just ignore the questions and focus more on the funny stuff) your friend is just trying to shake you awake like that exact scene where paimon tries to wake the traveler up. “Y/N WAKE UUUPPPP!!! I DON’T LIKE THIS, Y/N WAKE UUPPPP” listen i thought this was funny because your friend is screaming at you more like singing to wake you up while both of your lives are at stake

So, I suppose this ask will be all about Zeke!! Whose last name remains undisclosed for some reason.

First impression: I actually wasn't too sure about Zeke at first?? I never disliked him. I always enjoyed him as a character. But him being the Mad Pooper in Broadcast Wagstaff School News was just so strange to me, pfffffft. However, I did immediately find it quite sweet that he did it for Tina. I don't ship Zekina that much, but I can definitely see why a lot of other people do (but come on, people, stop using this ship as an excuse to bash Tinimmy, I am still so tired of it--)

Impression now: I love Zeke, he's hilarious. And his interactions with all of the Belchers have been great. Him calling Gene his precious lil' lamb in Stand By Gene?? Adorable (please correct me if I got the episode where he said that wrong)!! He's genuinely such a sweet kid with a newfound love of cooking, which I love to see. He deserves the best. I hope he finds someone nice in the future.

Favorite moment: Probably when he busted out that mascot costume for his grandma, because that was one of the sweetest moments in the entire show, in my opinion. The boy loves his grandma, and that's so adorable. They clearly have a super sweet bond. Also, side note, the story about his grandpa wooing his grandma because of a similar mascot costume is so cute. It kind of gives me Boblin vibes, not gonna lie.

Idea for a story: I would love to see Zeke bond more with Bob when it comes to cooking, the boy is clearly talented, and I would love to see what he can do if that talent is properly nurtured by someone as caring and experienced as Bob. The two would definitely have a great time.

Unpopular opinion: I don't think Zeke treats Tina so much better than Jimmy Jr. like a ton of other people say. He's a thirteen-year-old boy just like J Ju is. He's had his fair share of not being great to Tina, and let's not forget the lore that he actually used to be kind of a troublemaker and bully back in the day. Of course, he's matured a lot since then, and I love him, but he doesn't treat Tina as well as a lot of people say. There are just way too many Tinimmy bashers, and I will not stand for that.

Favorite relationship: I think his relationship with Jimmy Jr. is my favorite. He's always wrestling J Ju, and J Ju is always down to get tackled by him. Those two idiots just have a very special bond, and it's great to see.

Favorite headcanon: I'm honestly not sure!! Maybe the headcanon where he begins working for the Belchers and honing his cooking skills because that is always wonderful to see.

frankie has a younger half brother named owen that i wanna eventually make a blog for (maybe i'll make him a side blog now that we can reply from sideblogs????), but the most important thing to know is that he had a really good upbringing and was loved and safe and their father got clean + sober for THIS second family. and the worst thing that happens to owen is frankie finding him and telling him about her life, because it rocks owen's shit to his core because this whole time he was loving his dad and living his life and there was nothing wrong or bad. and then he finds out that this person he looked up to and respected was totally different and it feels like he never actually knew him at all.

Today I:

-worked a good shift at the shop. I got a compliment on an oat milk flat white from an australian which was very gratifying bc they're tricky to make (imo) and trickier with non-dairy milks (not an opinion, just the science of fat and protein molecules). I got to share some neighborhood recs with this customer and her partner and they seemed super into it. I told them to come back and see me over the weekend and I hope that they do!

-got to do something I truly love, which is loading up a 4 player game on a pinball table and then playing it alllll myself. I only had one actually good ball out of the 12, I rocked a really good multiball, but it's just such a treat to have the time and space to indulge in such a way

-reworked some job app materials even though I extremely didn't want to...I did it at the bar after playing my quad game of pinball, and it actually went pretty well so I might try to work on job apps there more regularly on week nights which is really full circle bc when it was the previous iteration of the barcade I would work there all the time but for whatever reason I haven't ever done so in the past year since its been open again.

uuuhhhhh wrote a segment of the ganonbeck thing on my phone (this whole thing isnt written on my phone i just have future scenes hashed out on phone) so i figured id share it for: giving a snippet of it bc why not, and to maybe get some feedback on writing ganondorf and the specific concept he talks about?

(this isnt indicatives of the whole fic just a scene delving into ganondorf’s personal conflicts and a little bit of worldbuilding or something. would appreciate some feedback or tips or whatever on this since im not sure if. i wrote this idea well. also hope its generally interesting/fun to read)

#salty talks #tbh tho i think this does kinda set up the dynamic between them and why ganondorf is drawn to linebeck maybe #linebeck is. hes funny in a good mood. he helps lighten ganondorfs mood and helps him disengage from serious stuff #he is also supportive of him fucking killing the king of hyrule. but hes mostly someone that helps ganondorf loosen up #ganondorf is this cunning wise man who holds lofty ambitions and is influenced by the history of his people and lets it motivate him #and linebeck is the image of the cat with the label ‘father i crave violence’ hes a lil ooc and chaotic but he thinks the hylian king sucks #this fic is mostly a lighthearted gay little thing where theyre both in lighter moods exploring the desert #but does have snippets like this about ganondorfs discontent with the hylian kingdom and linebeck struggling with his mental health #making it so it doesnt really exist in a vacuum and can feed into a possible future longer au fic idea #tbh been leaning into linebeck having a similar distaste for the hylian monarchy to ganondorf and carrying it into post ph #which fits in neatly with the headcanon that he is half gerudo so. pieces fitting together #this is mostly unedited btw so if it comes off as rough then yeah. its a first draft #topical with people talking more about the uncomfy way the zelda games approach imperialism n stuff #so i mostly worry about how i write about it here cuz its a concept im still new to and not sure how to really approach #if you saw the version with the images in the wrong order no you didnt #but seriously please let me know how i did writing what ganondorf talks about handling him is scary to me and i want to do good #ganonbeck #linebeck #ganondorf #they are tagged now rejoice
