More Danny Phantom thoughts

Okay so, the GIW and Danny’s suit. I know that the GIW show up way later and probably were not a thought at the time, but it’s… interesting that Danny’s suit, before it got color inverted and then—disappeared from his human form?—, it was white then, with black details. It’s noticeably different from his parents, yes, but ALSO different from the ones Jack put aside for Jazz. So why was the one Danny grabbed white? (I mean, other than aesthetic.)

Was it just an undyed (ha) jumpsuit? Do the dyes do anything for ecto protection? Did the GIW exist before hand and supplied some of the things the Fentons had in their lab? And some stories like to say that Maddie and Jack majored in ecto biology—so who established that? Or was it paranormal studies, which irl is an offshoot of psychology (at least in the educational sphere)? Because THATS an interesting angle for Jazz actually.

Further, let’s say Danny, as Phantom, says that ah yeah, his clothes are what he died in just color reversed, so go be fashion aware because it might become your ghost outfit forever! He’s probably joking, especially as we know ghost outfits CAN change without the convoluted mess with Sam and Desiree.

And so while they don’t think to apply that to his face and hair, for whatever reason you wanna give, but they note that this meant he was wearing all white.

And, you know, those GIW… are QUITE fixated on Phantom. And ghosts weren’t a well known phenomenon before then, so. How did they study ghosts? How did they study death?

… and, who was Phantom before he was Phantom?

Dog At the Door was fantastic and I’d read it again and have thought about making more art for it in my rendered style eventually. I think that one’s by @fluffy-papaya and their friend?

The entire au in general but The Incredible (?) Case of the Body Swapping Serial Killer by @redstone-sun is literally amazing and I love their fics in general for their characterizations of the hermits. Like I’m. God damn. But yeah the Fallen London AU is by far my favorite AU to date

I still remember ones like The Red Sun Never Sets and And the Universe Shifts because they’re popular but imo they’re great fics and we’re the first ones I read for Hermitcraft

I also read 2 whole chapters so far of This is About a Stuffed Bird and will someday hopefully finish it 😂

both you and taehyun know it. the moment his moniker for you, “mommy”, leaves his lips in front of your parents, you feel the energy of the room shift.

your mother raises her eyebrows and gives an inquisitive look at you while your father seems none the wiser. maybe he didn’t hear, or didn’t immediately understand.

taehyun shrinks into himself. you’ve never seen him look so small and so apologetic, he looks to you like a sad eyed puppy and your initial frustration and embarrassment begins to melt away.

it’s impossible to stay mad at him. he’s such a good boy, you know he is. he would never do something like that to embarrass you, not when he loves you with his entire heart.

“oh, taehyunie,” you coo, cupping his cheek. “my sweet baby, i could never stay mad at you.”

taehyun lowers his face down toward yours so you can kiss his forehead and he nuzzles into your neck.

“i’m sorry, mommy,” he mumbles into your skin. “i love you…”

“i love you too, baby,” you sigh, running your fingers through his hair. “i shouldn’t have gotten angry with you like that. you’re mommy’s good boy, always so well behaved for me. it wasn’t your fault.”

taehyun nods wordlessly and you feel his arms tighten around your waist. your heart shatters when he gets like this, vulnerable and needy that he has nothing to say and just wants to hold you close. you relish this warm moment with your baby, melting into each other’s embrace.
