nikolai is a part of a group i've been calling "the hounds" that protect wizard city (i might change the name idk yet) he's also deeply afraid of death and dying!! in a lot of my posts about him, i lovingly describe him as being a "traumatized wolf stormblade" as a kid, he accidentally found an entrance to sunken city and basically died for a little while. he got better tho and he made a cocky, self-important persona to hide the fact that he is very deeply afraid of dying. which is funny to me because he is a diviner [smile] his arm also got torn up getting him out of there which is why he has a bunch of scars on his arm nikolai is very passionate about the things he cares about, including people. he is creatively persistent and despite everything and his parents not wanting him to be wizard, he is a stalwart diviner
