So uh... I’ve seen some tension between people who criticize Go Rush rn and those who are fine with how Go Rush is.
I’ll be honest: I haven’t seen GR criticism so far that was just straight up hate. People explain why they aren’t satisfied with how some characters are treated or how the plot is handled so far. And tbh, isn’t it fair to dislike something and criticize if you can give reasons why?
Some say all they see in the go rush tag now is other people “shitting” on the show which I can’t really agree with? When I check the tag, I mostly see people making (positive) reaction posts about the latest episode, have some theories, some fanarts here and there or spoilers. I dare to say the amount of negative GR posts is really small compared to the ones where people say nice things about it.
In the end, “yugioh go rush” and “ygo go rush” are general tags for the anime, everyone can use to say what they liked or not liked. As long as posts with criticism aren’t breaking any rules, let those people vent. Let them say what they disliked. Just because you like how characters and/or plot are done doesn’t mean it has to be the same for someone else. Isn’t it actually a good thing that Go Rush can evoke different emotions in people instead of just one of the extremes? Discussions are also more interesting when different opinions are thrown into.
And if you really can’t stand any kind of criticism and you know certain people do that often then simply block them.

25. Do you play the TCG and if so, what type of deck do you use?
Was just on twitter lmao complaining about how my biggest ygo tcg/paper problem is that there is no scene for it where I live irl but I play Duel Links and Master Duel on and off. I like to use anime decks best of all. The only non-anime decks I dabble in are Aromage (because I can mix with Sunavalons) and Shaddolls (because I can mix with Prediction Princesses). Anyways I am a huge Sunavalon stannie, a very easy deck to learn that's a lot of fun to play.
28. Something you love about the fandom
Answered this earlier but you know what? This is such a good question that I can think of multiple answers for it. So! I unironically love the shipping culture. I think its so cool how (up to about 7s/GR unfortunately), we would band together to do our best to herd cats and come up with the eclectic and unconvenitional _____shipping name. I have coined many names for better or for worse haha but the voting processes and such were so exciting. Even if they do cause squabbles.
In addition to my femslash only shipping list, I also curate one which is ALL ships from DM to GR. If anyone ever needs it, just hit me up for a link :D

eight go rush thoughts
me, trying to make sense of the rush duel timeline: wtf is this shit
long post and spoiler(duh) warning
okay. first of all, the creator is otes.
ik this is very obvious, but think about it. the creator could be the gr counterpart/ancestor of otes. they have the same voice obviously but that doesn't help us distinguish the difference. otes' theme(the resting place of the king of duels or something idk) plays during the creator scene we all know from ep 51- something that doesn't happen with the counterparts of gr. imma keep explaining this later.

second, making sense of the time travel shenanigans.
obviously, yuuga leaves with otes into the hyperspace at ep 92 of sevens, going back in time(supposedly, otes survives). somehow, otes arrives much earlier than yuuga, becomes ZA CREATOR, and creates the velgearians, starting the war. yuuga then arrives and gets captured by zwijo, who already knows of the karutamata stuff. he then establishes rush duels with the help of yuuna and asaka and works at goha company. this all happens about 2 years before the main story of gr starts.
third, rush duels will disappear at the end of gr.
assuming that the rush duel robot came into the atmosphere roughly unharmed, it's either on the moon rn or somehow stored somewhere by yuuga to power the rush duels happening during gr. so, when yuuga inevitably leaves the time of gr and takes the rush duel robot with him, rush duels will disappear- like the sevens ending, not including the part where yuuga comes back to the sevens time period. if yuuga builds another robot, though, that's a different story.
fourth, also tying into the second one, is gr connecting into sevens stuff.
hypothetically, there once was an 'old gr'- one that led to sevens as it was supposed to, one without aliens and rush duels. once yuuga and otes took off into hyperspace and were sent back in time to old gr, they changed it to the gr we have today. if yuuga and otes were taken out of the equation, then there would be no aliens and no rush duels and the cast of gr(sans the aliens, obviously) would progress their lives normally like non-anime characters.
fifth, yuudias might permadie or tempdie at the end of gr.
everyone knows the legend of the sevens- and its unnamed gr counterpart. instead of the king of duels, the prophecy mentions becoming a 'light for the universe'. this hints at yuudias pulling a yuuga and sacrificing himself to beat whoever the final antagonist is. because bridge era prophecies are shown to eventually be true(see: legend of the sevens, sevens ep 92) and the fact the two legends are very similar and likely to both be created by otes, yuudias' fate is probably going to be similar to yuuga's at the end of sevens.
sixth, ygo 9.
ygo 9 might be what would happen in the future of new gr, as old gr was already eradicated by the time travelers from sevens. solid vision and rush duels were created before they were supposed to be, and will cause major mishaps in the timeline- unless they do the thing. since it is highly likely that they will do a rush duel trilogy, the protag might be the descendant of a sevens character, if the bloodlines weren't disrupted too hard by the time travel shenanigans.
seventh, the thing.
the yuugotes theory. yes, you heard me right. the yuugotes theory. where they murder yuuga's personality and create a stable timeloop somehow with yuuga becoming the next otes. the procedure is unclear, but it likely includes yuuga going back in time(via another hyperspace. he might've researched 'em or something) when he's an adult(after old otes dies somehow. maybe in the fight with yuudias. can't have two otes running around the timeline) and trying to fix otes' mistakes by doing it himself, but ultimately failing and unwittingly continuing the long loop of the rush duel continuation. this also explains why otes has a strong sense of foresight- as he already knows what's going to happen. i found some proof for this actually)
these images and this tweet by the translator of entamesubs (here: https://twitter.com/octomaidly/status/1455019365351440390) very much foreshadow this. while it definitely seems like a red herring, there wasn't like nine characters that went "oh, otes must be a time-travelled yuuga!" like the goha yuuga situation.
eighth, the legend of the sevens and the book of sevens
we all know how the legend goes- "on the night of a large and hardly recognizable full moon, a duelist will carve an unknown path and become the king of duels." and also the gr version- "on the night of a large and hardly recognizable celestial body of earth, a warrior shall carve open an unknown path with rush duels and become a light for the universe." and i'm pretty sure the book of sevens goes something like this: a young sorcerer with the power of the sevens gets sent by a wise old man to seek out the other six with the same power. the story ends with "the young sorcerer... shed tears as he destroyed the moon." and was almost true in the final duel against otes- if yuuga hadn't played the trap card perfect sevens. this might play a role in gr as it didn't happen in sevens. the beginning part happened, yuuga leaving behind his friends happened- just not the destroying of the moon.
(also, when rewatching ep 91-92 of sevens, i found something- how tf did yuuga ✨(sevens) magic(ally)✨ change from his spacesuit to his normal clothes after the infamous road scene- i mean, it makes sense for that scene and that scene only, but not for afterward. also, yuuga didn't attack otes yet before going into the hyperspace- sure, it's implied, but not shown. additionally, yuuga's friends probably didn't see his win against otes)
don't think about all this too much- don't get a headache like me :)

Scary Movie Night
Description: Zaion/The Luge. The Luge brings his boyfriend some movies to watch with him. Unluckily for Zaion, they’re horror movies.

“Greetings, The Providence,” The Luge greeted when Zaion opened the door for him.
Zaion sighed heavily. “We have literally been dating for a week now. Can you please call me by my real name?”
The Luge let out a soft chuckle. “I know. I’m just teasing you… Zaion.”
Zaion smiled. “So you do remember my name. Good.” He stepped out of the doorway, ushering The Luge inside.
He nodded. “I brought some movies,” he informed, holding up a stack of DVD cases.
Zaion closed the door behind him, gazing at the movies.
His face fell. “Tho… those are horror movies…”
“Yes?” The Luge stared at him with an unfazed smile.
“They’re… supposed to be scary.” Zaion tried to fight back a shiver.
Scared? Of some movies? That couldn’t be him! That would be silly, especially in front of his still sort of new boyfriend!
The Luge nodded. “Yes.”
He had his usual ‘blissfully unaware’ expression as he looked the fidgeting Zaion dead in the eyes. There was silence between them.
“Is… is that not… a problem for you?” Zaion asked, biting his lip. “B-because I-I wouldn’t want you to freak out! They are just movies! They may look real and scary but they’re just special effects!”
The Luge nodded again. “Yes, I know. It’s not a problem.”
“W-well good!” Zaion forced a smile. “But I can still hold your hand if you get scared! It’s no problem!”
The Luge smiled and dipped his head. “I appreciate that.” He spread the DVD cases out to show Zaion each of the covers. “Which one would you like to watch?”
Zaion stared at the DVDs. A pit formed in his stomach at the sight of what were obviously four slasher horror movies. The violent, scary- no not scary! -kind. This was very much a ‘pick your poison’ type situation for Zaion.
“That one…” he sighed, pointing at one of them at random.
The Luge plopped the DVD into the DVD player, sitting on the couch. Zaion sat on the other end of the couch. It didn’t take long into the movie however for Zaion to scoot closer and closer: a complete trembling sweating mess by the time he was pressed right up against The unfazed Luge’s side.
“Y-you must be getting pretty scared, huh?” Zaion forced a smile as he asked.
The Luge shrugged, not taking his eyes off the screen. “Nah.”
“O-oh, well…” Zaion’s fingers gripped the cushions below him as he avoided looking at the screen. “You know… i-in case you do… I’m-I’m here to… hold your hand.”
There was a loud jumpscare.
“EEK!” Zaion let out the most undignified squeal, grabbing The Luge’s hand in both of his and burying his face in his shoulder.
“I am not scared, Zaion…” The Luge sounded puzzled. “You do not need to hold my hand.”
“Hold me you big stupid buffoon,” Zaion grumbled, trembling against him.
“Okay.” The Luge slid an arm around Zaion’s shoulder, holding him close as Zaion continued to tremble.
“You must be really cold to be shivering this much,” The Luge observed casually. “Would you like me to go get you a blanket?”
“No.” Zaion nuzzled his face further into The Luge’s shoulder, now refusing to even look at the TV screen.
The Luge patted his shoulder. “You sure you’re not cold?”
Zaion shivered against him. “I’m certain.”
The Luge shrugged. “Alright. If you insist.”
“I do. Insist. In fact… I order it..” Zaion pulled himself into The Luge’s lap, nuzzling his face in the crook of his neck. “You’re not to move until this terrible unscary movie is over.”
The Luge broke into a soft chuckle. “Sure thing.”
He slipped his arms around Zaion’s waist, hugging him close. Zaion relaxed into the touch and though The Luge couldn’t see it from this angle, Zaion smiled at the comfort.

Between AQ Stream lagging and buffering to high hell lately and that fucking cesspool of an episode pissing me off to no end, I was clearly not in the mood to watch yesterday's newest GR!! episode. And yet, it somehow still managed to annoy me.
I had learned through @real-life-pine-tree and tweets from the YGO anime account that Epoch ended up cheating, and quite frankly, even newcomers to a game should know that cheating is wrong. But here is the real kicker: members of the Yugipedia server were talking about the episode and they revealed that everyone except Yuhi was blind to it. Yes, that includes Yuamu and Yudias.
First off, Yuamu has the most amount of braincells in the entire roster of GR!! characters, so she should've been able to notice Epoch cheating without any problem like her brother. Why the fuck didn't the writers let her do that? Second of all, and more importantly, Yudias, you are Epoch's teacher. If your best friend says he saw her blatantly cheating, then fulfill your role as such and educate her on why it is wrong! It's not that difficult, especially for someone as honorable as you who would not let any form of cheating slide! Yet, you clearly did and had the fucking nerve to accuse Yuhi of making false accusations because the show and crew would rather prioritize how close you've gotten with Epoch. Ugh, it didn't take me until ep. 66 to like their bond, but now, this and the ending of the previous episode have made me quickly dislike it.
What the fuck is wrong with GO RUSH!! lately? They've been getting worse in quality since their fifth arc, from cramming in too many plotlines and stuff only for jack shit to get actually accomplished and focusing too much on the SEVENS fanservice to ruining their characters in different ways. Heck, unlike previous YGO shows—sans VRAINS—where they make tournaments integral to the plot/conflict, it feels like the Galaxy Cup is not the main focus of the current arc. In fact, the Epoch and Relic plotlines may be overshadowing it, reiterating how the show is suffering from too many overlapping plotlines and constantly catering to the SEVENS timeskip. I had mentioned that going through the subs of ep. 67 left me feeling like I want to finish watching this just to get it out of the way, but I'm not sure if I should do that or find an appropriate time to stop watching it altogether. I'll probably think about it some more, but for right now, I'm currently ranted out.

GenRex x YGO Wolf’s Rain AU
Because...there’s never enough aus of aus of other aus I already have.
So time travel...Or.. Alternate dimensions travel is canon for Generator Rex so..This is the basic concept of how this works. Yugi and Yami are swallowed by a golden portal vortex thingy and end up in Rex’s world. They meet Rex by accident as they try to find a way back, and when Yugi tries to turn in his wolf form...Well... The nanites in the air it’s contaminating him and turns his wolf form into a evo. But he’s still aware and can control it at will. I don’t know yet where to have this placed in the GR timeline but...well.. yeah. PLEASE I LOVE THIS DESIGN OK THE SHOW MADE IT LOOK SO BADASS AND SLEEK. Here’s also a small story or something with the pic. A draft maybe. I still need to get Rex into his character as Im not that good...at much except ygo characters XD
While Rex talked with Yugi and Yami,a passer by suddenly transformed into a creature.
‘’What happened to him?’’ Yugi asked stunned and Yami’s face mirrored his expression as all three of them looked at the monster.
‘’An EVO. And it’s time for me to go take care of it, see ya around!’’

While Rex was thrown around by the creature and fought against it, Yami noticed that his shadow powers were not working in this place, but neither were Yugi’s.
‘’We have to help him! Is there really nothing we can do?’’ ruffling his hair in frustration, Yugi groaned. For some reason the duel disks weren’t working properly either so there was no way to distract the beast.
‘’Yugi...Your wolf. Can you turn?’’ Yugi paused with wide eyes and looked up at Yami. ‘’Of course...Let me try!’’
And just as he finished the sentence, the transformation began. He was slowly turning into his inner wolf, but then something happened. He wasn’t sure what, but his transformation paused when he was almost finished, and his whole body felt like tearing apart. His animalic yelps indicated that pain as well, and before Yami’s eyes, his body grew in size, the limbs longer and thinner, some of the fur peeled itself off from Yugi’s body, the ears retracted themselves into the skin and his head was skinned of anything else, only the skull remaining in sight. When the transformation was over, Yugi’s limbs gave up and his on weight fell on the ground. Yami crouched beside him, but wasn’t sure if Yugi was actually still Yugi or one of those creatures.
|I’m... ok... I think... We need...to help him.| After a few moments Yugi got back up on his legs with Yami’s help.
Yugi walked for a bit and then ran and jumped between the creature and Rex as he growled at the creature. Rex had his Smackhands already built so he was ready to take on another EVO, but before he could, he heard Yami yell out ‘’It’s Yugi! He won’t hurt you!’’
