I'm sorry can I be weird about platonic Yandere watchmen on main rn? I just think they would be so complicated and toxic and shit but they would tear each other apart for their kids attention. Rorschach would stalk and hunt down anyone who would hurt you. Dan would try so hard to be a normal father figure but he's just so paranoid all of the time? Laurie would try to get you out of being a hero so bad. Adrian would try his hardest to be a beacon of normalcy from the rest. Dr. Manhattan is y'know

I want to say that the Watchmen would be much more toxic towards each other but try for the most part to be pretty good for their kiddo. Neither party thinks the others are anywhere capable of being what their kid needs, each member being a hypocrite in their own right. At first, I could see Dan being the one to persuade everyone to come together and be a family that their darling needs only for that to really be what tears the group apart. It’s Dan, Laurie and Adrian who are the ones who really try and even then Adrian isn’t completely trying. To be honest he would much rather prefer not having this little so called family dynamic thing going on and has his own plans to help make it come to an end. Eventually it’s pretty glaringly obvious that this just isn’t going to work. Everyone has such different ways they want to go about bringing their bby up and their own version of what a family should or shouldn’t be that they all come to a begrudging agreement to co-parent individually, resulting in their obsession being pulled every which way like a crude game of tug of war.

Daniel especially seems to be the one who is really honestly trying to be a typical father figure. He really wants to give his bby the best, not just that but he wants to be the best for them. But he can’t turn off his paranoia, he can’t help but be overwhelmed by the many terrible thoughts and worries that cloud his mind when it comes to his bby’s safety and overall wellbeing. With his constant paranoia and need to protect his bby at all costs, Dan would grow to become smothering towards his darling. He knows they need their space, he knows he shouldn’t be hovering over them as much as he does but he can’t help it. He’s well aware that his actions could very well push his bby away from him and that thought alone scares the hell out of him but he can’t say he doesn’t understand it. Dan wouldn’t blame his kid for wanting some space and as much as he wants to give it to them he can’t bring himself to. At least not completely.

Rorschach comes off more as not being too involved, he’s more hands off than the others but that doesn’t mean he does know what’s going on with their darling. On the contrary, Rorschach is very much aware of everything going on with and around his kid. He keeps a very close eye on them, watching and taking notes of everything happening. It isn’t too often that Rorschach actually physically interacts with his kid but he does keep an excruciatingly close eye on them and protects them from anything he views as a threat. The most interaction Rorschach has with his kiddo is if they were a hero or trying to take on becoming a vigilante, then he would be more inclined to take on more of a mentor role for them in his own way.

Laurie, similar to Dan, tries hard to be the epitome of a good/perfect parent. She wants to be the one her bby can depend on for anything, the first person they run to when they need absolutely anything. She wants to be the one to comfort and love them, she knows she’s the only one who can truly give them that. She wouldn’t be nearly as paranoid as Dan is but she is very much worried about her darling’s safety. Especially if they were in fact a hero/vigilante themself. She would be extremely incessant when it came to trying to get her darling to give it up. She can’t fathom anything happening to them, especially without her being there to prevent it. She would of course seek advice from her own mother about what to do and how to go about things without causing her darling to pull away from her. Of course her greatest fear is anything happening to her darling at all but her second biggest fear was having her darling hate her. She didn’t want that, she couldn’t possibly bear it.

Adrian would try to give their darling more of a semblance of normalcy to a degree but he mostly just spoils the absolute hell out of them. He wants to make it very clear who the better parent is out of the Watchmen and it’s him. He proves just how much he can give and provide his bby. Anything they wanted, Adrian could give them easily. Out of all the Watchmen, Adrian is the most cunning and willing to sabotage his fellow Watchmen when it comes to gaining the favor of their darling. He’s not nearly as fearful of having his darling hate him, of course it would bother him but he knows he’s doing what’s best for them. Even if that means keeping them locked up against their will in his own personal oasis. But that wouldn’t be the first thing he does, no, he would work up to that later on. Baby steps after all. Adrian wouldn’t necessarily be accepting of his darling being a hero/vigilante but he would come off far more supportive and encouraging of it then he actually is. He’d even go as far as to give his bby the best tech needed to ensure their safety and help them with their heroic endeavors. But really, Adrian wants nothing more than for his bby to not be involved with crime fighting whatsoever. Maybe it’s him using reverse psychology on them or just him biding his time and trying to play himself off as such so that he’s seen as the more accepting and better Watchmen in his bby’s eyes because of it. Either way, Adrian would devise a plan to get his darling to stop crime fighting one way or another, whether by their own accord or he has to force their hand into doing so. Adrian wouldn’t be too opposed to formulating a plan to do just that even if it meant traumatizing and even scarring his darling in the process so long as it worked out in his favor. And of course he would come to save the day at just the right moment, further proving to the Reader just who exactly is the most dependable and caring parent out of the Watchmen.

Jon could very easily take the darling away from the other Watchmen members if he so wanted and he would. In the beginning he decides to go along with the whole family dynamic thing and sharing of their darling. For a while it’s alright and he could tolerate the others being so involved with his kid but when everything falls apart and the fighting starts up even worse then before, Jon would feel the need to take the darling away from the situation. When the prospect of co-parenting comes up, Jon doesn’t really want to take part in it. He knows a repeat of before is bound to happen and he doesn’t want his darling forced into the middle of it all. But reluctantly he would agree if only to oversee the other members’ interactions with his bby. It doesn’t take long for him to regret having not taken his darling after the first time. Sure things aren’t necessarily bad but they aren’t what their kid deserves either. It isn’t until the other Watchmen are at each other’s throats again when Jon decides enough is enough and takes the darling away right before everyone’s eyes. And he takes them far, far away. From everything unworthy of so much as being near his bby. He knows the others will come looking for them, they already started the second he up and left with their kid but he also knows it’ll take them awhile to find exactly where they are. Until then he has plenty of time with his bby all to himself.

I've returned with some more platonic yandere watchmen headcanons! These characters are all so interesting to write and think about.

-I feel like Watchmen would've ended differently given that Ozymandias most likely kidnapped Reader so they wouldn't be in New York when he enacts his plan. I don't think dr.manhattan would leave or that Rorschach would ask dr.manhattan to kill him. I don't think any of the watchmen characters would be fine with the idea of Ozymandias having Reader all to himself (though let's be honest, they'd all probably do the same thing under different circumstances lmao) so I can imagine there being some more conflict.

-Back when Rorschach and Nite Owl were partners, I can see Rorschach being protective of Nite Owl's sidekick!teenager!Reader even before he snapped. Nite owl would definitely fuss over any injuries they get. Rorschach would want to make sure they don't have to suffer from a horrible childhood like he did, he'd definitely beat up criminals that dare to lay a hand on Reader even more than he normally would. Obviously he wouldn't kill them since this is before he started killing, but still he would NOT hold back lol.

-Before the Keene act was passed, I can see the public cooing over Ozymandias's and Reader's dynamic. I feel like they'd love to see Ozymandias having a soft spot for Reader, and spoiling the crap out of them.

-Silk Spectre would NOT tolerate The Comedian being anywhere near Reader. Period.

-I can see Ozymandias being pretty calm about the whole "kidnapping Reader to keep them safe from his giant squid thingy abomination" thing. He wouldn't raise his voice at them if they expressed concern for where they are, or if they lose it when they find out about what he did. He'd be eerily calm throughout the entire thing, maybe even offering Reader a cup of tea to calm their nerves.

-Rorschach would definitely lose it the most when Ozymandias takes Reader. Don't get me wrong, Nite Owl becomes an anxious wreck but Rorschach would be absolutely terrifying during his and Nite Owl's investigation. I don't think he'd do his usual "break their fingers for information" thing, I think he'd genuinely straight up kill or at least threaten to do so.

-I imagine the original Silk Spectre and Nite Owl would be like a sweet grandma and grandpa to Reader. You cannot convince me that they don't go all out with buying Reader presents for their birthday or for Christmas.

The Sounds of Justice (2)

Chapter 2

“I’m so glad I travelled in the car with you two,” you yawned as Torres finished parking the car.  Ellie had woken you up by prodding you with her finger until you stirred from the front passenger seat.

“Because we’re the most charming of the team?”  Torres grinned.

“Not just that.  If I were in the car with Tony and Ziva, I probably would have a few more bruises and I wouldn’t have been able to get any sleep at all.”

Torres shuddered, “I’ve heard about her driving.”

“I haven’t.  What’s it like?”

“Effective.”  You eventually answered.

“That’s the best way to describe it,” Torres agreed.  “I think Gibbs is the only one who can beat her in the driving category.”

“You have no idea,” you stretched.  “Being in a car with both of them is not on my to-do list.”

“I’ll tell them you said that.” Bishop winked after she’d opened her door.

You gaped at her in mock betrayal, “And after I fed you.”  You gasped dramatically.  “Is there no decency in the world anymore?”

“None.”  Torres deadpanned as the two of you climbed out of the car.  “That’s why we’re here.”

Your amusement evaporated instantly, “Right.” You exhaled, stepping onto the footpath.  Abby had done some digging and brought up the fact that this case shared a few similarities to three others around the tri-state area.  There didn’t appear to be any pattern yet but you knew Abby would keep digging until she found something that connected them all.

Within minutes you saw another two cars approaching you.  One was a dark blue sedan and the other was a white station wagon.  It wasn’t hard to make out the faces of Ducky, Palmer, Abby, Gibbs, Tony, Ziva, and McGee in the different cars.  As soon as Abby saw the three of you, she waved.

You felt some of your previous amusement returning as you noticed that Ziva was driving the dark blue sedan.  You nudged Bishop with your elbow and she smirked before nudging Torres with hers.  The agent coughed and focused on the pavement for a few moments.

Once Ziva had finished parking and the car was stationary, Tim opened his door and bolted out of the car, “Never again.”  He vowed, standing next to you.  “I would rather experience another pointless department meeting than be forced to endure Ziva’s driving again.  Not only that, but I had to spend three hours and forty-five minutes listening to Tony ramble on about classic movies and listen to him doing impressions of his favourite characters for the whole drive.”

Bishop struggled to conceal her sniggering and McGee peered around you to glare at her, “You think that’s funny Bishop?  Just for that, we’re swapping.  You’re riding with Ziva and Tony and I’m riding with (Name) and Torres.”

Bishop controlled her laughter as the other members of the NCIS team joined you on the pavement.  Gibbs looked at you, “What are you waiting for?  This case isn’t going to solve itself.”

Recognising the order in that sentence, you turned to face the building that had been behind you and your team walked towards the entrance.

As expected, the 16th precinct was a hub of bustling activity.  The second you stepped into the squad room; many heads turned to face you.  This may have been because a woman with long brown hair and a sergeant’s badge clipped to her belt had come over to you.

“Welcome to Manhattan.  My name is Detective Olivia Benson.”

Your boss stepped forwards, “I’m Special Agent Gibbs.  This is Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo, Special Agent Tim McGee, Special Agent Ziva David, Special Agent Nick Torres, Special Agent Ellie Bishop, and Special Agent (Name) (Surname).  Our ME team are Abby Sciuto, Dr. Donald Mallard, and Dr. Jimmy Palmer.”

“Call me Ducky,” Ducky ordered as he stretched out his hand to Olivia.  “Everyone does.”

Olivia shook Ducky’s hand with a smile, “I’d like you to meet my team.”  She beckoned them over.

The first man to reach you nodded in greeting and held out a hand to shake, “Detective Fin Tutuola.  Call me Fin.”  He had brown skin; one pierced ear and his dark hair was tied in a ponytail that rested on the back of his neck.  Your first impression of the man was that he had a very low tolerance for bullshit and called things as he saw them.

Next to introduce themselves was a tall man with slicked back blond hair, “Names Dominick Carisi Junior, but everyone calls me Sonny.”  He said with a grin.

“You don’t happen to be from Brooklyn do you?”  Tony probed.

“As a matter of fact I do.  How did you know?”

Tony shrugged, “I’ve always been particularly good at identifying accents.”

The next and last person to introduce themselves was a blonde woman, “Detective Amanda Rollins.  Everyone calls me Amanda except for the boss when she’s angry.”  She whispered conspiratorially.

You liked her immediately.  It seemed to be a long running joke between Amanda and Olivia because the lieutenant simply raised her eyebrows and stared at the detective.

Sonny gazed around the bullpen, “Barba’s not here.  He must--”

“I would rather you didn’t speak for me when I am here and quite capable of talking for myself, Detective Carisi.” A voice cut in smoothly.

“It’s obvious that you don’t have a problem with talking.” Sonny snarked.  The other man pretended not to hear him.

“Barba,” Olivia said in a mixture of surprise and relief.  “I thought you weren’t coming in today.”

The smirk that the new arrival wore seemed a little forced to your eyes, “Yes.  Circumstances fortunately changed.”

“Sorry to hear about the death in your family.”   Sonny offered sympathetically.

Now you were certain that the smirk was forced, “Unfortunately, it was just a matter of time.  Let’s move onto other things, shall we?”

Olivia quickly introduced you to Barba and then she introduced Barba to you.  The moment when she mentioned that Rafael was an ADA that worked alongside them, you knew Gibbs’ opinion of the man took a nosedive.  And you knew why.

You shared a meaningful glance with Ziva, Tony, and McGee.  You knew you were all thinking about Rule 13.  You wondered if Bishop and Torres were doing the same thing.

“We understand that you found one of our people of interest,” Fin stated.

“Yeah.  But he wasn’t exactly in a talking mood when he was found.”

“And that is where we come in!” Abby stated energetically.

“Indeed.” Ducky agreed, “Could you please direct us to your ME’s office?”

“Of course.  I’ll take you there now,” Sonny voiced.  You noticed Abby’s fingers wiggling in excitement and just knew that it was a matter of time before she was in command of the machines in the department.

“There are other things that we need to discuss in my office.”

Gibbs stared at you all before he followed the lieutenant, “Play nice.”

Tony put on his most endearing grin, “Always do boss.”

From the look on Gibbs’ face, it was clear that he disagreed with that statement and he was choosing not to argue with it right now because the case was more important.  The door to Olivia’s office closed silently but the blinds let out a rattle as the door closed.

“I get the feeling your boss doesn’t like our ADA.”  Fin spoke up.

“It’s nothing personal,” McGee assured him.  “It’s just that the boss has a list of rules.”

Amanda frowned, “What rules could he possibly have that make him dislike Barba?”

“Rule 13.”  You, Tony, McGee, and Ziva chorused.

“Is anyone going to explain to me what that means?” Barba huffed.

McGee, Tony, and Ziva all focused on you.  You glared at them, making sure that they were well aware of your displeasure when it came to being forced to answer this question before facing Barba and preparing yourself for the inevitable explosion, “It means “Don’t involve lawyers”.”

“Isn’t that nice?  I’ll be in my office if anyone needs me.”

“Sorry about him,” Amanda apologised when she was certain he was out of earshot.  “He seems abrasive but Barba’s a good guy.  He’s passionate about what he does and he’s nearly unstoppable in court.”

“I’d be pissed off too if someone insulted my livelihood without knowing me as a person.”  Fin added.

“It’s a specific rule because we had a lawyer intercept a report from one of our team.”  Tony argued hotly.

Wanting to ensure that the collaboration between the SVU and NCIS teams continued to run smoothly, you jumped into the conversation, “There’s also Rule 51.”

“And that is?”

“Sometimes you’re wrong.”

“You might want to tell Barba about that rule if you want his continued cooperation.”  Fin advised.

“Good point.”

“Out of curiosity, how many rules are there?” Amanda asked.

“Ninety-nine.”  Torres answered.

“Ninety-nine what?” Sonny asked as he reappeared in the room.

“Of their boss’ rules.”  Amanda explained, pointing at the six of you.

“Most of us have our own rules as well.”  McGee revealed, “(Name)’s #1 is don’t piss off an expert in their field.  And yes, that includes Ducky and Abby.”

“All the more reason that I should explain the reasoning behind Rule 13 and mention Rule 51.  How do I get to Barba’s office?”

“I’d take you.”  Sonny offered, “But I think it’s better if you let Barba cool off first and have some coffee.”

four week review/pre-up nonsense:

♡ being an objectively kind person is always easier while disassociating, but it does always raise the question of whether it makes it more or less real

(vs whether being kind being difficult makes it more or less real)

(vs whether any of this is relevant to each other)

♡ the intrusive thoughts have not stopped (or like. lessened. lmao) but they have been easier to stop from spiraling+recognize the starts of spiraling.

Yandere Tony Stark Headcanon (Sort of?)

Explanation (PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING): So this was a conversation between me and marilynmonroefanfics. It started off with me talking about a new ending for Yan Tony Stark x Assistant male reader and this happened. To me, it sounded like a headcanon.

Just to say, I'm never doing a headcanon again! It depends with you see this as a headcanon. To me, it sounded like a headcanon.

To me, Tony gives yandere vibes. He has everything: money, power, and many people working for him.

His crimes can't be traced back to him.

He would do everything just to have you. Hell, he could probably everyone you have ever known just to have you.

Yep, crazy. He would kill thousands of people just to have you.

Like mention before, he has everything. He could probably destroy Manhattan or NYC as a whole. Which has a population of over 8 million people.

He would use that to threaten you. If you don't say yes to him, the deaths of millions of people will be on your hands.

"Please... don't do this. T-they don't deserve this!" you cried out.

After being with him for so long, you felt like you were losing your sanity.

You tried killing yourself but it has proven to be ineffective. Tony could just put your body or brain into a robotic suit or he could get Dr. Strange to revive you.

Whatever you do, you can't escape. No matter where you go, he will always find you.

"You can never escape me Y/n. I'll always find you. you CAN run from me. But you CAN'T hide from me."

So I saw your post about PMMM: Rebellion and I have to say that I feel Homura's "creepy yandere tendencies" gets overblown by some fans, well at least in Rebellion, I'm not familiar with the obscure definitely non-canon spin-off you mentioned. I mean if Homura was actually as psychotic as some fan seem to think she is, why the hell didn't she just straight up kill Sayaka Dr. Manhattan style during their confrontation?

Why is it that Homura, who is capable of rewriting people's memories, didn't just brainwash Madoka into being her lover, after all wouldn't that be something you'd expect from a full on psychotic yandere?

Instead Homura concludes their confrontation by claiming that despite one day becoming enemies, she'll keep wishing for a world where Madoka can be happy.

Why is it that Madoka is happy with her family at the end, while Homura dances off a cliff, mirroring her Clara Dolls in an earlier scene?

(Note that taking off your shoes is a cultural touchstone for suicide in Japan)

I should also mention that they did actually consider playing more into the yandere trope, but ultimately decided against it.

Op you seem to misunderstand. My problem isn’t that Homura is a yandere trope at the end of rebellion. What they have is very good. My problem is that we’re clearly meant to think Homura is some creepy yandere, from her expressions, tone of voice, and just the animation on her. It is a clear attempt to demonize (no pun intended) her and show her as someone creepy and to be feared. This combined with these creepy spin offs that have popped up make me fear for the franichises future and worry they might just turn Homura into a “psycho lesbian” trope. But you are very right that Homura is nowhere near as evil as the movie and fans want you to think.

Soo I'm back with some more watchmen headcanons! I submitted some more before but tbh I like the ones here more lol. Enjoy! I'm tempted to try to write some romantic Rorschach ones too, he's such a complicated character to think about when it comes to writing but it'd be a fun challenge to write him in a romantic context.

-I think Watchmen would have ended differently if platonic yandere Ozymandias took reader from the rest of the platonic yandere characters so they wouldn't have to be in New York when he enacts his plan? I don't know if Rorschach would've asked Dr Manhattan to kill him if he knew reader was being held against their will, and idk if Dr Manhattan would've left if he knew reader was in trouble too. Maybe there would be one final conflict between everybody?

-The original Silk Spectre and Nite Owl would definitely spoil the crap out of reader. I can see them both telling reader about their old days as heros 

-The comedian would definitely want reader to know some of his old tricks, he'd definitely have the potential to be a horrible influence on them, which is definitely one of the main factors as to why Ozymandias killed him.

-I feel like even before Rorschach snapped after the kidnapping of the little girl, he'd still be pretty protective of reader. Nite owl would worry a lot about them, he'd be like a worrying mother lmao

-If the reader had superpowers, I could see that being a driving factor for Dr Manhattan being fascinated by them, for once he'd feel like he almost has an equal. I imagine the characters would be varying degrees of paranoid about reader's safety as a superpowered person. They wouldn't want to see reader be turned essentially into a government weapon like what happened with Dr Manhattan. Rorschach would probably have the most extreme reaction, he'd probably just straight up kidnap them and isolate them from the rest of the world "foR thEiR saFETy" because he's unstable like that and we all love him for it

I heard you got into Watchmen, so naturally I had to dump my headcanons for what the platonic yandere watchmen characters would be like (heads up, if you haven't finished reading it already or watching the movie this contains spoilers!)

-I can see the watchmen characters becoming protective over a teenage!vigilante reader. I like to imagine they're the sidekick of Nite Owl, and that's how they encounter everybody else.

-i can see Ozymandias killing The Comedian for reader, even if he was a platonic yandere too for reader Ozymandias would recognize that he's a horrible person, and isn't the kind of person he'd want to be around reader. He'd definitely take him out not only for his grand plan, but definitely to protect reader, too.

-Ozymandias would definitely use his wealth to spoil reader.  

-Nite Owl and Silk Spectre would both be like over protective parents for reader, Nite Owl would freak out if they got any sort of injury while Silk Spectre would be super protective of them around Rorschach, since we all know how she feels about him.

-Dr.Manhattan would definitely be an interesting character to think about, he'd definitely be fascinated by reader, maybe he's interested in the way they can diffuse situations with criminals, how they can calm them down and comfort them.

-I can see Rorschach being protective of them too for the exact same reason as dr.manhattan. he'd view them as "too pure, too innocent, too trusting". He'd only get worse with his overprotectiveness and paranoia after he snaps after the kidnapping of the little girl. I don't think he'd be able to get the idea of them being in her shoes out of his head. Rorschach would not hesitate to take out or MAYBE just break the fingers of anybody that dares to hurt reader with him watching. He'd also definitely stalk them when he's not being Rorschach. 

-I also wonder if Dr Manhattan would try to take reader with him when he goes to Mars, so he could examine them forever.

-Ozymandias would definitely make sure reader isn't in New York when he enacts his plan, he'd definitely take them without warning while the rest of the characters are losing it wondering where they could be.

Yandad! Rorschach and Dr Manhattan would probably be the most dangerous combination of yanderes to have. You'd have Rorschach breaking the fingers of anybody who dares think about hurting you and you'd have Dr Manhattan, a guy who practically has the powers of God, being protective over you.

Yan!dads Rorschach and Dr. Manhattan would both be dangerous and terrifying in their own respective rights. Rorschach would be more of the type to keep his obsession in the dark, he does everything for them without them knowing. He’ll protect them and get rid of whoever he has to while staying in the shadows, he wouldn’t want his darling to know about him or what he’s doing for them. But he would make it known that there was someone watching out for them, more often then not but leaving creepy letters/notes. Rorschach would definitely be the most violent in what he does and how he goes about it, particularly when it comes to keeping his darling safe. There would be no mercy for whoever Rorschach sets his anger on.

Dr. Manhattan would also be terrifying in more ways then one. He is so much more superior then his darling, not only with his powers but just with his mind alone. In the beginning, Jon would try his best to get his darling to understand him and his want/need to protect them. He would try to be understanding of them as well especially if they were to fight against him given how he would go about his obsession but he would get to a point where he has to show his darling just how powerless they truly are compared to him. Not only is he proving how powerful he is but also just how dependent and vulnerable his darling is on their own. They need him they just don’t know it yet but he’ll make them realize it, one way or another.

Chapter 1

“My dear, if you feed us any more I have no doubt that I shall burst.”  Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard stated as he and his teammates sat around your dining table.

“Oh my god.  This dessert is so good!” Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop groaned appreciatively after swallowing her first bite of tompouce.

Abby clinked her dessert fork against yours, “I couldn’t agree more.”

“You know that I’m particular about what I eat but this isn’t too bad.”

Tim rolled his eyes and swatted Tony on the arm, “If you look hard enough, you’ll find some praise in there somewhere.”

Tony shot Tim an unimpressed look before hitting him up the head.

“How foolish of me to think that you would be grateful to see your teammate after she was undercover for six months and not complain about her cooking for you.” Ziva piped up, glaring at the two men.

“Thank you Ziva.  It’s good to know that you and some others appreciate my efforts.”

Ziva inclined her head and Delilah snickered into her food.

“Can I take some of the dessert home?” Jimmy inquired after he finished his plate and put his fork on top of it.  “My new neighbours are from the Netherlands and I’d like to do the neighbourly thing and welcome them to the neighbourhood with something from their homeland.”

“That is a wonderful idea Mr. Palmer.”

“Of course you can, Jimmy.”  You motioned to the remaining pieces of the cake, “Take as much as you want.”

Your eyes lingered on the one untouched piece of dessert that lay on the counter.  Ducky noticed your worried gaze and he reached over the table to pat your wrist, “Jethro is relieved beyond all words that you are safe,” the Medical Examiner reassured you.  “He will finish his call and then be back in to enjoy the dessert.”

You managed a smile, “Thanks Ducky.”

There was a clang and you spun around to see Ellie, Delilah, and Torres at the sink.  They were all holding dishes except for Torres who was holding one of your tea towels.  The three of them were wearing deer in headlights expressions, “We wanted to help.  You fed us.  It’s the least we could do.”  Torres explained.

You shook your head fondly, “I have the best team.”

“Hear, hear!” Abby echoed, raising her fork with the last piece of dessert on it.

Your front door squeaked as your boss, Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, re-entered your house.  His hair had grown since you had last been in Washington D.C. and a few silver strands hovered next to his piercing blue eyes.

He gazed around the room before he focused on you.  There was regret in his eyes as he spoke.  Seconds later, you found out why.

“Gear up!”  He announced.  “An ensign was found just inside the Washington D.C. border underneath a tree.”

Torres put down the dish that he was wiping, “That’s not all, is it?”

“He was a person of interest in a SVU case for the team that operate out of Manhattan.”  Gibbs revealed.

Tony blew out an annoyed breath, “And he crossed state lines.  Why do they always run?”

Ellie was thinking along the same lines that Tony did, “Since he crossed state lines; that means we need to coordinate with that SVU squad.”

“Regrettably yes.”  Tony grimaced.

Ellie held up her hands, “I feel like I’m missing something here,” she confessed.  “Why are you acting like collaborating with the SVU squad is a bad thing?”

“It makes things more complicated.”  You revealed to her.  “Sometimes egos get in the way and it wouldn’t be the first time that we work with a team of cops and one of them has their own agenda.”

“I hope it’s different this time.  I mean, we want the same thing that the SVU squad want.  Why shouldn’t we be able to work together?”

Ellie’s optimism helped to lighten the atmosphere in the room and you wished with all your heart that she was right.  It would be nice to have an open and shut case.

Meanwhile, in Manhattan, Rafael Barba scowled darkly at the phone clenched in his fist.  He resisted the impulse to throw the device across the room and break it.  His glare remained on his face as his mind ran through possible outcomes and the obstacles they could cause.

“That drug should have incapacitated that traitorous ensign long before he could reach the car!  Why didn’t it?  Now the descará has drawn attention by crossing state lines and he’ll ruin everything!”

Rafael Barba breathed out raggedly.  In his mind, he heard his mother chiding him, “No seas pesa’o, mijo.”

Focusing on his breathing, Rafael felt his heart rate steady, which was a good thing when he considered the fact that he was still in his office.  It would not be a good thing if one of the SVU team were to barge into his office as they usually did when they needed something and they saw him looking any less composed than he should be.

He shook his head amused, “Right as always, Mamí.  All I need to do is shift the focus of the NCIS team when they arrive.  They’re not looking for the murderer of a naval officer, they’re focusing on his victim.  Olivia and her squad should keep them fairly busy if I play that angle.”

I’m excited to see any Watchmen things you write in the future once you read the comics! I’ve always thought the idea of platonic yandere watchmen characters to be really interesting, especially regarding Rorschach given that he’s such a complex character. ( also I love that post you made recently about platonic yandere joker and Harley kidnapping their obsession! )

I’m also excited for any Watchmen requests I get in the future! Especially for Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach. Those two were always the ones I’ve been most interested in writing for as yanderes, particularly platonically. All the Watchmen characters yandere antics and overall dynamics are going to be interesting either way regardless the type of obsession they have (platonic or romantic).
