i love helping other transmascs speedrun getting over their doubts and fears about going on t. there are two people in my personal life who have been contemplating going on t for a while, and both of them talked to me about it because i’m the resident Guy On T, and by the end of our conversations one of them was fully decided that they want to start t and the other had realized the thing that had been stopping them was actually probably not a real barrier at all. i’m making it my life’s mission to become the little trans devil on as many people’s shoulders as possible whispering “you should totally go on t i think you would really like it” in their ears. maybe the real transgender craze seducing our daughters was the friends we made along the way.

also i need to decide on my Astoria MCs backstory n work her being a titan into the story...i think i decided at her being 27 (still 2 years older than the canon™ age bc she was with Hydra before Hades ms worldwide)
Um so....Theia changes sides during the war (Titanomachy) leaves her baby children (Selene and Helios) and her husband (Hyperion) — centuries pass
She lives a fine if guilty life - up until her furious husband finally escapes Tartarus to hunt her down
...at least thats his intention.
They do make up though, and the result is... Eos! Theia hides while pregnant and no one knows a young titan is about to be born. Until the last day. When she does, Theia dies during birth because of the titan poison which has never harmed her previously, its a punishment for aiding Hyperion - who btw manages to escape...for now (and in a way abandoning the baby the way Theia did the first time.)
Eos is secretly taken in by Hera who will later trust her with the MC's Mom (the canon one) she even has special artifacts made just so she will appear human and wont be hurt by the same poison confining Astraeus, Selene, Helios to Tartarus.
The only one who knows is Ares and while he doesn't blackmail Eos he's especially interested in her, wanting to unleash Eos' true feracious, chaotic nature repressed to hell and back. They have a brief affair which ends with Eos barely escaping Aphrodite's wrath (with a minor curse) thanks to Alex who also gets their heart broken by the events but (tries to) move past it.
Eos as the MC is...far more angry and passionate than the game version, and she's shorter at 5" because i couldnt deal with the text suggesting how big Astraeus' 5'9" self is compared to her when she was 5'5" but thats just me nitpicking. She also surely did morally and legally questionable things and knows many other titans on Earth who remained neutral during the War (like Prometheus who aids her a lot or his sister Ankhiale her actual bestie for life)
Her first love is Hydra. She breaks up with him bc frankly he's just too mean and she s not about to be treated like that even if it's with 'love', especially after finding out Hades' interest. With him....its a manipulation of sorts. She never really loves him but her underlying hatred of H.E.R.A starts to show and she wants it gone even before the main events... She does fancy him a bit bc cmon
Then of course - Astraeus. I believe they both feel a staggering, panic inducing connection at first sight which Astraeus clings to like a lifeline and Eos is just...scared of it... which causes the in-game reactions. He is not unwelcome, its never really an enemies to lovers. Just... inconvenient to be 'kidnapped' when ur planning a coup lowkey and ur almost there u know
honestly what first gave me this idea (besides Astraeus' connection to Selene and Helios n then i read he s married to their sibling n its so neat in canon lore??? Like... 👌 dusk, dawn, moon and sun - ) is this portrayal of Eos so... anachronistic esp. for a goddess??? n then noticed mcs design is close lol
they r the same

how do you feel about plants as metaphors for various emotional ailments?
Yknow like growing from or into the body of the character.
Usually i see them used as something repressed that eventually blooms, and it carries that connotation of beauty, but i think it can be used for literally anything
(think like how there's many long-lived trees, and how that could be used as something that slowly progresses taking over the character, weighing them down- that old something they're letting fester has deep roots and long branches)
(or maybe flowers with specific blooming conditions correlating to that emotional ill they have, so like, Mirabilis Jalapa that blooms around dusk on someone that relates dusk to a strong experience, and when they reminisce, they bloom)
idk bestie. Something something imagery
LOVE THIS SHIT SO SO SO MUCH
i dont get the chance to play with it as much as i wanna (though . i Do have a chance ..) but i LOVE messing w symbolism and imagery in that way. imnot as well versed in flowers n such as other folks are, but ough. OUHGHG...
flowers+plants are just such a good method of playing with Meaning that i adore Adore seeing done right. only downside is hhhhhhhhard to. draw ''> >
its kind of a reason why forget-me-nots are my favorite flowers. i actually have an oc (..??????) that holds them as a dear symbol, and has a withered sprig of them she wears just about always. which is sweet, but shes a character thats a manifestation of something that lives off of deleting the memories of others, and shes actually wearing them bc. she thinks shes fucking hilarious. dkfjgkfd
though, for a character that nearly blipped out of existence herself, it Is kind of a spiteful reminder that shes not going to die that fucking easily. its an odd sort of semi-ironic love of the things. a rejection and a reclamation. idk im on abt fucking Anything; agree reblog

Holy shit it's been a year,
I might be coming back
oh my god hello everyone. Since I've last posted on Tumblr, I've moved fandoms to genshin and become A Little Obsessed:tm: but also Holy shit I hate twitter and though the fanart is pretty, I don't really know what's next for me in terms of posting anywhere...
I guess we'll see what happens. I always get quite self-conscious about posting into the void, so.. uh.. I'll try my best!!! 😤
Mute/block/unfollow/etc. as needed 💕
My askbox is still open because nobody's ruined it for everyone yet lmao

I just love how his dark materials depicts the afterlife/ heaven and hell and is kinda similar to The Good Place
Both shows said you know what the afterlife sucksss let make a new one
In The Good Place they created a new system for the afterlife but essentially your essence will return to the universe
In His Dark Material things are easier
You live, you die ,you return to the multiverse by going through the portal in the land of the dead and basically becoming dust
The end of the afterlife is basically the same in both shows
But The Good Place took a more ethnic approach while His Dark Materials took a more religious(? approach
The gist of the new afterlife system in The Good Place is that if you can change to be better, you deserved to be in The Good Place/Heaven. Is about becoming a better person despite how hard it the circumstances are. Or at least try to
In His Dark Materials though, the show basically encourage you to be good since we have the decision to choose or as the show put it “people can’t survive without dust (consciousness)” We have the freedom to choose so why don’t we choose love and kindness(is how I view the show anyway I haven’t read the books yet so I’m just talking about the show here)
And personally I just love the HDM version of the afterlife a tad bit more just because it’s closer to what I personally think people should treat each other, with love and compassion because they can.
Plus I think it think it fits well with the source material which is the Bible/Christian ideals that people should treat each other with love because they can(? correct me if I’m wrong here
Anyway my point is
If you like female bisexual icon trying to save herself but accidentally saved the entire human race with ethnics, go watch The Good Place
And if you like adventurous chosen girl who had her soul in animal form as her companion, travels through different worlds and fullfill a prophecy while leaning about love and the meaning of existence then go watch His Dark Materials

I think part of what really makes me twitchy about "coming back" to tumblr and seeing the same old takes and discourse over and over again is that nobody is saying anything new or profound? Like at the height of my fandom activity, I wrote and read literal thousands of words of meta about all the complex layers of Loki and his universe, as well as the real life implications about some of these in-universe issues, but after the series when the takes started to be *really* divisive (the Ragnarok wank was child's play, tbh, imho), it just seemed more and more pointless to try to participate bc some takes were just so extreme.
So then I come back and I see posts about this or that being problematic, or that x factor reinforces y stereotype, or otherwise promotes or underlines this that or the other Problematic thing, it's like -
- bro, I've analyzed and criticized to hell and back, and at this point, I'm over it. I don't have anything particularly new to say and clearly neither does anyone else, so can we just, like, go back to enjoying the actual material? Yknow?
But idk, maybe I'm on this island alone. I'm also not really expressing myself well, but what can I say - I've lost a lot of braincells over the past year or so; this is the best I've got at the moment.
