Could we please have a corpse bride au with fluff Vinkag. Like Vincent phantomhive has been deceased for few years, while kagome is alive but old (70s or 80s). When he and others resurfaced to the land of the living, they meet again and he's still in love w/ her after being apart

I apologize for the long wait, here is your request.

The night was chilling, even for him which was saying quite a bit. The whole village was in an uproar, the living and the dead mingling until their emotions filled the very air. He too was seeking out his beloved, but he feared she had moved on after his death. Left for places that would give her comfort and an easier living.

But despite that fear, he searched the village, returning to their home. It was still the same as ever, one of the more well-kept manors of the village. And if his heart still beat, he felt it would be pounding in his chest. His steps crunched the snow, the gate screeched as he pushed it open, and when a window lit up, he paused.

His grip on the gate tightened when the door creaked open, a tiny hunched figure shuffled out into the night chill. Stooped with age, hair as white as the snow that drifted, he was still able to recognize her as easily as the day he first saw her.

“Kagome.” the name left his lips in a puff. Despite being dead, warmth flooded from his chest.

Blue eyes that still had a shine to them looked up and the woman froze. It took a few moments, he feared she would flinch back in fear or disgust, but her lips curled up in a smile. “Vincent.”

With quick steps, he crossed the distance between them and gently wrapped her in his arms. “Oh, my Kagome!” she had aged, but her warmth still comforted him as her arms slowly rose to return the embrace.

“Oh, Vincent. How I’ve missed you.” she pulled back, her movements now filled with more energy than what was the norm for a woman her age. “Still so handsome.”

He held the hand to his cheek with one of his own, basking in her love, touch, and affection. “As I have missed you.” he took in all that changed, and what still remained the same. “My beautiful Kagome.”

She nuzzled into his hand. “How long can you stay?”

“Not long I’m afraid.” he pressed his brow to her own. “Why are you out so late?”

“A wedding. The Everglot’s are marrying their daughter off to that cad, Barkis Bittern.” she shook her head, tucking her arm through his, and they both made their way to the church. “I remember when he showed up one day and began to woo young Emily.”

“She’s a lovely girl.” Vincent agreed as they walked along the path. “I often imagine she is what our daughter would be like, if we ever had one.” he choked up a bit, remembering how Kagome had so wanted a daughter.

Kagome smiled, head resting against his arm. “Do tell.”

“She’s kind and passionate, much like yourself. There are moments where she stumbles, but for the most part, she’s graceful.” he smiled as he leaned down to whisper in her ear. “She is also not one for tradition. Likes to shake things up.”

Laughter escaped her, ringing through the air. It was still clear and warm, age only making it sound more beautiful to his ears. “She sounds delightful.”

Nodding his head, he fell in line with the others that were heading to the church. “How… how are our sons doing?”

“Grown with families of their own. Ciel and Cyrille have taken over the family business, the Phantomhive name has never been more prosperous than before.” the path became a little more uneven, forcing her to work that little extra bit. “They come to visit, often. Their children are darling. Ciel has twins himself, Irene and Wendell. Cyrille has two boys, Gabriel and Nathaniel. They spend the summers here. I wish you could see them.”

“As do I.” they continued to walk along, quickly walking alongside others. “The Everglot’s spared no expense it seems. Still demanding. I remember when they were still brats.”

Kagome’s laughter had him smiling, not at all caring for the looks they earned. “You were never one to mind your words.”

“Only when they were deserved.” he threw a look when he spotted the Everglots just up ahead, it amused him to see them so spooked at what was going on around them. And then that old Priest! “That old fool is still alive?”

“Hush you.” her nature to be at least respectful of others endeared him like nothing else. “Let me enjoy this night. I feel it’s one of the few I’ll have left here.”

Her words stilled his heart. While he knew it meant that she would be with him again soon, the thought of her dying still caused him pain. It reminded him of that accident so long ago, the one that tore them apart. The idea of her dying, one with so much life and love in her, felt wrong in some way. “Don’t talk like that, you’ll live to be the oldest woman in the entire village.”

“As amazing as that sounds, I am tired Vincent. I’ve lived a good and long life. I’ve seen our sons grow and got to meet our grandchildren. What more could I ask for?” she leaned in closer to him. “I also missed you terribly.”

“I’m very far, love. You know that.” they shuffled into the church, ignoring the Priest as he screamed out ‘Blasphemy’ to each of those that were dead that took a seat.

“I know, you are always near my heart and thoughts. Forever in my dreams.” she leaned against him, closing her eyes and relaxing against him.

Leaning his head so it rested atop her own, Vincent ignored the world around them to enjoy her presence. “As are you in mine, my love.”
