My Top 50 Songs of 2022*
*not necessarily from 2022
Year number 6 of the Top 50 Songs of 2022 that aren't necessarily from 2022 playlist!
I'm not quite sure when this happened or why, but I started listening to my Discover Weekly playlist pretty regularly on Mondays and that led to a ton of songs on this list (BOW DOWN TO THE ELECTRONIC, ALGORITHMIC GATEKEEPERS) which was, honestly, a nice change of pace from having to do the leg work myself. Other songs came from the ending credits of a Rob Zombie, some of my favorite albums of 2022, finally listening to albums I bought years ago, and a trip to Wegmans (I had a "Mountains Win Again," experience with Miley Cyrus's "The Climb").
So check it out. Discover something new or fall in love with something you haven't heard in a while. And for better or for worse, there are no Daniel Tiger tracks (but in case you were wondering, I still consider myself a good father).
Songs are not sequenced with any intention or ranked in any way so I highly recommend listening on shuffle.

Bottomless sombrero.
(Arty and Tito are at the self check out at their local Wegmans and have to put their groceries in bags.)
Arty: Hey Tito, where did you put the bags?
Tito: I know that they're somewhere in my sombrero, let's see...
(Tito starts digging through his sombrero.)
Tito: There's an apple I've been meaning to eat, a basketball, a big plush poodle I won at a carnival game...
Arty: That's great and all, but where are the bags?
Tito: I'm looking for them.
(Tito continues to look through his sombrero.)
Tito: I've found a duck wishbone, some "adult" magazines, an old lady...
Old lady: I'm finally free after five whole years!
Tito: There's a spare tire, a golf cart, a meteorite, more "adult" magazines, and I finally found the bags.
Arty: No offense, but it took you long enough.
Tito: Well that's what happens when you have a bottomless hat of any kind, you're gonna put a bunch of random crap in it.
Random bystander: Why did you have an old lady in your sombrero?
Old lady: I found his sombrero lying on the road one day and tried to pick it up but I ended up falling in it instead.
Random bystander: Okay, I guess that makes a little bit of sense.
