[ 🧱 ] how would you describe your muses’ morality? what are their core values?:

i'd say that of all the misfits, it's vivien who has the most unstable morality, but i wouldn't say she's evil; probably just lawful neutral. she has less of a sense of justice (something u could probably put down to her upbringing lmao; rich people suck) but she does understand right and wrong, and for the most part she won't act outside of this understanding — unless she can see a huge benefit to it.

she's very used to looking after herself above all; for a very long time, i think her core values were 'whatever gets me by, whatever helps me, and fuck the rest.' (not that she'd have ever done anything especially evil; she's not a supervillain likely to like, kill a busload of kids or anything, it's just that she doesn't see a problem with, for example, blaming one of her own failures on someone else and getting them kicked out of their university program, or something). i do think that meeting the other misfits (coughespeciallylogancough) changes this a little bit; it makes her more willing to reflect on the morality of her choices for fear of being judged by them. also she's now got more people to look out for than just herself lmao so [shrug emoji]

[ 👗 ] what is your muse’s fashion sense like? are they able to dress the way they want to? what would they wear in an ideal world?

expensive. dhjsdjkdsjk she has a lot of name brand stuff, but not so much for the sake of having name brand stuff; just that it's what she's used to? the dixons have always spent a lot of money on clothes and stuff shjdsjk she doesn't know how to be any other way. because she comes from money, she can pretty much dress however she likes, and how she likes to dress is sort of... very delicately feminine. lots of satin and lace; pink blouses, classy gold accessories, towering heels. she mostly wears skirts over trousers, but the trousers she does own are usually pale in colour and like... wide-leg? often made of like, silk/satin. i'd say she's less likely to knock about in jeans than, say, theo.

[ ⚰️ ] what are your muse’s greatest regrets? what would flash before their eyes when they’re on their deathbed?

surprisingly, she doesn't regret like... how things ended between her and her parents? she kind of understands (after some therapy) that things between them were never healthy; that they abused her; that it was always going to end this way. her biggest regret is not getting her siblings out from under henry and jocelyn's thumbs; though laurent and diana were never close to vivien (a situation that was encouraged by her anti-mutant parents), they were still her younger brother and sister, and she feels responsible for them, in her way. she thinks they could've both been much better, much happier people without the influence of their parents, and though i do think diana at least makes the effort to get into contact with viv and ignore their parents' opinion a few years after viv is cut off.... i'm not sure laurent ever does, and viv blames herself for that.

[ 💍 ] does your muse have a “type” of people that they prefer to enter relationships with? is their type generally compatible with them, or does the dynamic tend to be toxic?

yeah, and it's pretty much precisely the opposite of logan fucking beck. vivien's type for most of her early life was 'whatever is going to reflect well on my family, and therefore earn the approval of my parents', and that was usually... well. rich, arrogant frat guys whose families moved in the same circles as her own. asher, as the heir to the gardiner fortune, was a perfect choice — and i do mean choice, vivien's decision to date him was very calculated, but then so was his decision to date her — for, if not a life-partner, at least someone to pass the time with for now.

the dynamic in these kinds of relationships rarely gets outright toxic (as in, like, abusive) but it's not healthy, either. often, it's very detached; before logan came along, vivien approached relationships as business ventures, so even with asher (who's vivien's most successful relationship in this vein) things were cold, largely emotionless. sort of just... sex and parties and public appearances, all without any real intimacy or vulnerability. boy does she have a big storm coming from the very moment logan walks into her life shdsjkdsjk

[ ✨ ] what aesthetics or symbols do you reference when writing your muse? are these backed up by canon, if your muse comes from a canon? is there any specific relevance to these choices?

ghosts!!! lots of ghosts!!!! viv struggles a lot with feeling like a 'real person' because of the nature of her mutation, and she's often been haunted by nightmares of no one being able to see her, of being forgotten and left to just drift through (literally, through, incorporeal bitch that she is) the world alone like a ghost.

also lots of pink shjdsjk she's a pink lady. expensive aesthetics; skyscrapers, marble, lots of harsh and clean lines. flowers left to dry in a vase. mist hanging over a concrete city. aesthetics that are normal and natural but somehow sad when u stop to think abt them for a sec, tbh shsdjksd

noah's morality is a bit clearer than viv's, for all they're both coming from the background of 'socially / financially superior abusive parents' shdjhsd. noah sees the world less in shades of grey, more in black-and-white. what's right, what's wrong, y'know?? granted, this is a pretty... malleable world view, since he's like... literally a drug dealer, but still. he doesn't like to hurt people, usually doesn't sell to anyone that seems too young, and for all he's kinda made some shitty choices (see: fucking his bff's little sister's bff while said little sisters are missing) he does feel a lot of guilt around them. i'd say he's probably chaotic good?

core values aren't so much 'me and mine' as they are 'do no harm but take no only some shit'. he's not great at standing up for himself, because he has a pretty shitty self-image, so... he does take some shit, especially from josh in the year between hannah & beth going missing and the massacre on blackwood mountain, but he tries not to hurt anyone. sometimes fails at that. feels very guilty about it at all times shsdjk

[ 👗 ] what is your muse’s fashion sense like? are they able to dress the way they want to? what would they wear in an ideal world?

mess. he's a fucking mess. flannels, jeans, band tees. ripped everything. owns a battered old leather jacket he got off of an uncle when he was in his mid-teens that's still too big on him, because the boy is built like a fucking match-stick, and he wears it everywhere. also probably covers everything he owns in patches; that jacket, his backpacks, whatever he can get his hands on.

in an ideal world he'd probably experiment a lot more with his gender expression re: fashion (and i actually do think he does this more once he's emotionally healed a bit from the mountain and also worked through the toxic masculinity his father hammered into his head) and like... grow his hair out, paint his nails, fuck around with makeup. i think probably he and frankie have shared some of her skirts and dresses before, because again, the man is built like a match-stick, and he could absolutely fit into her stuff, so why not? and that'd probably progress to getting some of his own stuff, so he's equally as much in skirts as trousers. he still sticks to a darker colour palette tho.

letting josh go :/ josh will always be noah's biggest regret lmao. he mourns that boy for the rest of his life. idk i mean i've mentioned before that i think they'd drunkenly hooked up a few times, and i don't think that noah was ever in love with josh, but i think he could've been, if things were different. they clung to each other for so long, like two stars orbiting a black hole that's dragging them both in, except josh got pulled into it and torn apart, and noah... didn't.

he feels like he should've done more for him; like he shouldn't have been fucking frankie when the girls went missing, and like he shouldn't have let josh be alone so much in the year following, and like he should've been a better friend in general. to be fair to him, he was a much better friend to josh than he perceives himself as being, but still. like i said earlier in discord :) GUILT IS NOAH FERRARA'S DEFINING TRAIT.

hmmm. honestly, before frankie, i'm not sure that noah had ever had a real like... serious, long-term relationship. i think he had a few arrangements like theirs (i.e. fwb) with women (bc he doesn't feel comfortable rly exploring his bisexuality until he and frankie are both away from their parents) but nothing really... emotionally touching. i'd say his type is probably pretty malleable; just someone chill, someone he can talk to, someone he can fuck around with. unsurprisingly, not someone he has to be serious around, though his serious moments with frankie somehow manage to rear their heads without his meaning them to.

lighters shdshjdskj. but also fire in general; i think on the mountain he used a lighter taped to frankie's can of hairspray as a weapon, so there's that literal connotation of fire to his character, but also, like.... [vapid voice] fire is chaos, you know?? also uhhh. skulls. half-buried skulls, to be specific. i associate him with greens and dark colours, but im not rly sure why shjsdjkdsk. his aesthetic is just very chaotic. he's a dumpster fire of a human being (affectionate)

Vivienne Adler liked to believe she was a good person. Even the best of people made bad decisions every now and then. This was just a bad patch, right? She had to believe that or else Vivienne feared she would genuinely go insane since she was back in Providence Peak. It was like the entire town was engraved with all the memories that she wished that she could move on from, which explained why she spent so much time alone at home. Wine and Netflix had become her reality, and if she sat and thought about it enough, she knew that she would go mad. However, maybe a little bit of fresh air was exactly what she needed, so, Vivienne changed into her workout clothes before she was making her way onto her front porch. She had expected an instant boost of her mood whenever she stepped outside, but all she saw was a very upset looking Asher walking away from her next door neighbor’s house. It was strange and certainly something that was none of her business - but that didn’t stop her feet from approaching her (ex?) sister in law. “Asher,” she called out as she jogged from her front porch to where she was standing. The closer she got though, the more she was wondering if she was going to regret this. Upset people said a lot of shit sometimes. “You okay? Is everything... good?” Viv asked, her eyes glancing from Beau’s house to Asher. She hardly knew her neighbor, but she had seemed nice enough. Definitely not the kind of person that would cause Asher to look like this.

[She reached for the handle, and slowly pushed the door open.]

[Addison walked in to the apartment, looking around herself as she held her gun in front of her, ready for what may come.]

ADDISON (thinking): I don’t see anyone...

[Two men came out of the kitchen, aiming their guns at Addison. She smiled, as they shot at her, surprisingly missing her head.]

MAN ON LEFT: “Hello.”

ADDISON (thinking): They didn’t even hit me... I should just be grateful, and just focus on dealing with these bitches.

[She quickly ran up to one, and kicked him in the face. He was knocked down, but soon got up. She went behind of him and put him in a headlock, as the other pointed a gun to her head.]

ADDISON (thinking): Why won’t they just shoot?

(previous) MAN ON LEFT: “Let him go, hun.”

[Addison dropped him to the ground, having no complaints as he had already fainted. She turned towards the other, and pointed her gun at him as well.]

ADDISON: “Well, sweetie, I’m not hun. Wanna tell me who sent your two sorry asses here? And since you have a gun, may I just suggest, shoot it. Only you’ll be shot as well, but those are just irrelevant thoughts."

(previous) MAN ON LEFT: *chuckle* “Why would I tell you?”

ADDISON: “Fine, we can play this the hard way. Sorry to mess up such a... fragile face.”

[Addison raised her foot to kick him, but he blocked the move with his arm.]

[The man tried to regain control, and began to choke her. Addison soon pushed him off, and kicked him in his crotch. While he yelped in pain, she took the opportunity to put him in a headlock. Down he goes...]

ADDISON (thinking): This was strange. Who were they? Or rather, who were they sent from? That was too easy...

ADDISON (thinking): Could it be him? I thought he would have left me alone by now. Is that why it was so simple? Not a test, but just a warning. A warning for what? Maybe when they wake up I can ask them. No, no, they wouldn’t know.

ADDISON (thinking): I guess it’s up to me, then, to figure it out. I need to grab some rope. *sigh* They should be waking up in about 30 minutes, so I need to figure something out.

ADDISON (on phone): “Hey Viv.”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “Addison? Bitch, where have you been? I was starting to think you got boring.”

ADDISON (on phone): “I’ve been boring from the start. But, I have something for you.”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “Oh?”

ADDISON (on phone): “Two bodies. Alive.”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “Might I ask from who? Because I know you just don’t go around giving me presents like this.”

ADDISON (on phone): “I have someone in mind. Can you come over and drop them off somewhere for me?”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “Addi, sometimes you are too soft. You have a gun, right? It only takes a shot, sorry, two, in this case. And that would save me some time.”

ADDISON (on phone): “I don’t kill. They’re innocent, and if I’m right about who they’re working for, it just makes it even sadder. Plus, they were god-awful at fighting. I bettered them, and in jeans!”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “Okay, fine. You’re still at that old apartment?”

ADDISON (on phone): “Yep. Same address.”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “Alright. I’m working on something right now, but I’ll be there in say... 30. Just tie ‘em up for me.”

ADDISON (on phone): “You know it. Bye Viv.”

VIVIENNE (on phone): “See ya! And there better be coffee when I get there.”

ADDISON (on phone): “Of course.”

You hcing Picani with DID is so interesting! I've never seen that in the fandom before. I'm personally making a fic with Jan, Remy, Viv and Orange in a system so ehh hc buddies kinda! Do you have any like hcs about his DID? Just like curious 👉👈 (sorry if this is weird it's past 6 am i havent slept and you're cool)

My sisters Boyfriend (Chapter 1)

Everyone always has a friend from their childhood, in this case mine was Asher Loke. He lives next door and for as long as I can remember we have been best friends. He would hang out with me and my older sister Bella, it didn't bother me and Asher that she was one year older than us. But when we got older something just didn't seem right to me, they looked at each other in a different way, we were all too young at the time to understand it, but I think I understood it the least. He then started to come over to hang out with her, and not me, you could call it jealousy but I was still too young to know what that meant. Well until, the seventh grade dance. Bella was in eighth grade and she was dancing with me and him, I stepped away to come back to them having their first kiss. I then understood what those feelings I didn't understand meant, jealousy, and anger. So I guess you could say they have been boyfriend and girlfriend for from that moment and so far up to high school, softmore year. They had such a perfect relationship that I didn't even want to be friends with him anymore. I couldn't not hold back how I felt, I know people always tell you to release how you feel or those feelings would build up inside of you. But I never realized how real that was. I didn't want to betray my sister and destroy our relationship, but I was stuck with these feelings I could not get rid of. I would remember the days when he used to call me viv rig which I would laugh at knowing my name was Vivi Riggs, and then remember when he began calling me and my sister the rig girls. At least these thoughts helped me not to think about him and more about my sister. Today was the day I started Softmore year, the year everyone says is going to be the best year, other than senior year. This is where I will start my long and complicated story, right after I step out of that bus.

I pulled my backpack up and swung it around my arms, quickly standing up and following everyone out of the bus. Stepping out of the bus I could smell the fresh morning breeze and that calm, peaceful smell the wind carries everywhere, the sky was perfectly blue, and the sun shined boldly casting shadows through the trees. I walked up the few stairs to my school catching up with my sister, "Bella!" I quickly pushed through the crowd of people and grabbed her arm, "Bella wait up!" Bella quickly spun around to face me, "Vivi! I have class remember junior year is supposed to be chaotic." I rolled my eyes, "Okay! Okay, I just wanted to wish you good luck on your first day." She dozed off looking at a window near us fixing her perfecting blonde hair into a position, "Likewise Vivi," she then spun back around and pushed through the crowd. I sighed and leaned on one of the walls by the school door, "Hey Vivi!" I pushed off the wall to see a familiar face running up the stairs, "Hey Asher!" He pushed his dirty blonde hair out of his face and smiled, "How's your first day so far?" "It's okay I guess," Asher then raised his eyebrow, then chuckled, "Viv, this is supposed to be one of the best years yet! Not like seventh grade." I watched his dimples appear then disappear when he turned around to hear his name being called, Bella pushed through the main doors to our school and grabbed Ashers arm. "Ashy! There you are iv'e been looking for you." His dimples appeared again and his surreal green eyes lit up, "Your so pretty today Bel." Putting his hand around her waist and kissing her on the cheek. "Your so sweet, come walk me to class," she started to walk forward with Asher next to her, "Talk to you later Vivi!" I pulled my bag up, then followed inside the school. I took my schedule out of my jean pocket and frustratedly search around for my class, I looked up and down constantly until I found the right room. "Ah, finally." I pushed open the door and ran straight into someone, I fell over almost hitting my head on the door. Nice job you ran into a guy on the first day of school I thought to myself. He turned around and bent down, "Sorry I didn't see you there," he reached out his hand, I chuckled nervously, "No no, It's my fault I wasn't looking where I was going. I ran straight into you." I grabbed his firm hand and it lifted me up within seconds, he scratched his jet black hair and smiled, "I'm Leon." I gave an awkward smile, "Vivi." He stared at me for a second then reached out his pale hand to touch my hair, "I like your hair." I stared at where he was touching my hair, and pulled his arm away. "No, it's just plain brown. Nothing special. He raised his eyebrow, "Then why are you the only girl in the room with no highlights and just brown hair." I glanced around the room, then curiously looked back at him, "Thats special." I gave a brief smile then walked to the other side of the room where the sun beamed through the window and sat down, he walked over and sat at the attacked desk next to me. I plunked my books on the table then noticed he was beside me, "Why are you sitting next to me? Don't you want to sit next to your guy friends." He smirked, "Well none of my guy friends are like you." I leaned back on my chair and crossed my arms, "Okay Mr. Mysterious, how am I different?" He chuckled, "I'll tell you soon." I uncross my arms and roll my eyes, then noticed that Asher just walked through the door. I was happy he had the same class as me, he looked around the room and noticed me straight away and smiled. I smiled back well he walked over to my desk, "At least we have a class together. Whats your schedule?" He pulled out his schedule and put it on my desk, I pulled out mine and we compared. "Yay, we have every class together." Leon sat in his chair confused crossing his arms, "Are you two a thing or something?" Asher turned to Leon rather annoyed, "No, we are friends." Leon looked away, and Asher looked back at me, "I'll sit behind you." I nodded my head.

The bell gave a loud ring and everyone scattered out of the class room, I went out and straight to my locker. Leon followed me and leaned next to my locker, I rolled my eyes and slammed my locker shut, "Why are you following me." "Following? I'm just standing next to my locker." He quickly unlocked the locker next to me, I give a loud sigh, "Seriously." He touched my cheek, "Your so cute when you're mad." This made me blush for a second, then I saw Asher watching me from the other side of the hall. I slap his hand and frowned, "Don't touch me." He gives a sarcastic gasp, "Oh I'm so sorry miss dramatic." He then looks up at the ceiling and smirks, "There, now we both have names." I give a small smile, then raise my eyebrow, "Wow. You're so funny." He then moves in front of me and leans close to me, I could see his speckled brown and hazel eyes, I could feel the warmth of his breath, his lips where so close to mine. I turned to see Asher was still watching me, he seemed annoyed. I then pushed Leon off of me and crossed my arms, "Mr. Mysterious is just a player, I get it." Before he could say anything else I walk away turning quickly behind me to see Leon frowning at me, and Asher running towards me.

I wish you would write a fic with a companion!Lydia, what would it be like for her? How do you think she would join the inquisition? Would her relationship with Cullen be the same? So many possibilities!!!

fun fact! I started this but I think I stopped because it’s hard for me to imagine her with anyone else other than cullen! :) It was going to be extremely in depth and included her romance path but here’s a breakdown of how I imagine Lydia as a companion, (with romance!)

She’s recruit-able in Haven after you come back from Val Royeux. The quiz starts hearing rumors in Haven about a fire mage from Ostwick who has a bit of a reputation, and you have to break up her and a templar getting into a fight, where you see her in action.

Quiz steps in, and at this point you either take her side against the templar or send her away. If you take her side she’ll thank you, and offer her services because she’s always wanted to explore and see the world…the circle made her feel like a caged bird. After her recruitment her dialogue will change depending on how you handled the templar in her recruitment. if you let him stay and “make amends” she’ll praise you for thinking mages and templars can work together…if you kill him she’ll be remorseful.

at haven you can ask her about the “situation” at ostwick that led to her coming to haven. she’ll deflect.

however, once you get her approval a certain level (and only after WEAWH or the siege of Adamant is done.) She’ll confess she fell for a templar at Ostwick and they were found out, leading to his transfer and her disgrace. It’s why she went to the conclave…she wanted to escape it all. this is of course Asher, who you know..makes an appearence in IWD :)

But she’ll also say that he died at the conclave, and she didn’t go in. She has a lot of regrets because of it.

Approval is gained by being a good Samaritan and helping people out. She’ll appreciate it when the Inquisitor compromises and makes both sides happy, and helping out mages nets approval too. She’ll also approve of helping out templars and recognizing the group needs reform.

hangs out at Skyhold garden. hangs out in Haven outside by stables near Blackwall.

Personal Quest

done in 2 parts. Only available after both adamant and wicked eyes are done. she comes tot the quiz and confesses she found out Asher is still alive and didn’t die at the conclave (GASP)

You go to the emerald graves to confront him. turns out he’s a red templar. (ouch)

he runs away and you think that’s that. or…is it?

Second part happens after the arbor wilds. Lydia is nowhere to be found. Cullen informs you that she’s still in the wilds, tending a wounded asher. he’s near death and hallucinating. you have two options when you go her: you can encourage her to leave him and move on by telling asher it’s not real, or encourage her to pretend and “give him a peaceful, beautiful death.”

Guess what? she’ll do the latter option no matter what you pick!

BUT what you did above will effect her relationship toward you. she’ll either be disappointed in you…”we cannot lose our ideals in a time like this,” or be proud of you for “not losing faith after everything.”

Romance

romance available to male inquisitors of any race, and can be soft locked after arriving at skyhold

I’d say the human male and male elf are only a teensy bit taller than her. when the romance is activated she’ll tease “i hope you don’t mind if I wear heels.” If the quiz is a dwarf he can ask if their height differences bothers her, to which she’ll laugh and say of course not. With a qunari she’ll say she loves how small he makes her feel.

can flirt starting in haven. can’t start the romance until after WEAWH or adamant though. If in a romance her personal quest will have dialogue changes…she’ll assure the quiz that what she feels for them is real and deep and she cares so much.

The first love scene happens after adamant and wicked eyes, BUT BEFORE asher pops up again.

She’ll tell him “I love you” after her personal quest, this seals the romance and locks it in. Or you can leave her her. (ouch don’t do that.)

if you’ve been flirting with her, she’ll come to you during wicked eyes, and you can ask her to dance. She’ll ask are you sure. he can either dance with her or just cuddle by the balcony.

will have special dialogue about the well of sorrows. she’ll be glad you didn’t take it if youd didn’t, but understand why you did if you did. (especially if quiz is an elf.)

watches the sun with quiz during end credits. say something cheesy like “look at our beginning!”

In tresspasser vivienne will suggest you marry the girl. You can either tell Viv “already did,” or “planning on it,” or “we don’t need marriage.”

yes Lydia wants to marry you! similar to cullen, she’ll understand though if you take the “we don’t need marriage” option. She’ll say something sickening sweet like,…”I want the honor to say that I am your wife.”

srsly marry her how can you deny that

NEVER LEAVES QUIZ’S SIDE AFTER

Cullen!

if neither cullen or quiz is romanced, cassandra will ask lydia about it in party banter after the quiz’s actual romance is confirmed. she’ll say she’s fond of him.

she’ll have special dialogue with dorian, cass, and Vivienne about the romance, and the quiz can interact and say TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL

in tresspasser they get married :) she helps him out with his clinic.

Also if you were a devil that made cullen go on lyrium, she helps him get off of it after tresspasser.

I honestly think she would leave the quiz if he made cullen stay on lyrium forever.

yikes. anyway…that’s kind of it! thanks for the ask! it’s fun to think about, especially the romance, but I honestly just can’t see her with anyone else.
