hiii vivian!!! so sorry it’s taken me so long to get to answering you!! i’ll answer this for my vampire dr (the most recent addition and least planned, so some of this is bound to change.)

1.) my partner is a vampire and i’m a shape-shifter. i often like to shape-shift into looking like him, and particularly making fun of his fangs.

2.) we are both immortal, and have been alive way too long. i’m scripting that we cannot die either, even though technically vampires have weaknesses blah blah blah. this is my DR, and we’re just gonna have a little house together and hang out with friends and hunt for animals at nighttime together. that’s all. no funny business. so we don’t need any weaknesses or anything like that.

3.) my partner is scared of the dark. (is in CR, so i’m keeping that, but i find it funny now that a vampire is scared of the dark since all the legends say that vampires literally can only survive in it.)(yes, even sunlight is not a weakness to it.)

4.) we live in a foreign country at a random location (like an old castle that’s a little ways away from a town) that is bustling with suspicious locals that ALL entirely believe that my partner (and me too) are something unnatural, but they can’t prove it, so we laugh our fucking asses off about it every single day and play pranks on them.

5.) my usual go-to shape-shifting “shape” is either a dog or a giant ass bear or maybe a bird of some sort. one of those three.

honestly? i don't think nesta HAS come to this realization. and i say this because i don’t think she is in a space mentally or emotionally to understand that those expectations ARE toxic. certainly not in a canon world LMAO but not really in my interpretation either. i think that the rotten roots that her mother dug into her at such a young age are so deep that it will likely take decades for nesta to really even understand just how badly she's been harmed. and the canon treatment she receives at the hands of the IC absolutely does not go far in mending the mindset she's been brainwashed into either.

i mean. people can talk about how prythian doesn't uphold the patriarchal ideals that the human world does because it's an entirely different culture and species but the fact of the matter is that that's just complete bogus. men rule prythian. and you can argue that amarantha was in charge and blah blah blah the human queens blah blah blah but the fact of the matter is, tamlin wasn't putting feyre down when he told her there weren't high ladies among the fae. he was simply stating a fact. viviane of winter court (arguably an incredible leader considering the winter court did not sway under amarantha's rule while kallias was under the mountain) was clearly slighted when rhysand made feyre the first high lady.

and don't even get me started on the treatment of illyrian women. the abuse that those young girls and women are subjected to by illyrian men (rhysand's people!) is very close to the treatment that nesta expects as someone who grew up knowing that her only fate, the only role she would fit into, was that of a submissive wife to ensure her family's care. that those women are being violated so horribly because it's "tradition" just further proves to her that safety is not an option. that freedom is not an option.

all that to say, nesta can't break out of those expectations because she doesn't have the tools or the knowledge to be able to do it. not even when she goes to live in the supposedly amazing world of the fae that her baby sister so dearly loves. she is forced into “fae ideals” which are not far off from what she’s already familiar with. she is “promised” (mated) to a man for the “good of her family” (the IC/rhys/feyre) whether she wants to be or not and “society” (the IC) expects her to stay quiet and accept it and do it beautifully and to stop being in pain so loudly. because that’s feminine perfection of course!

i think that. even if she DID realize this. she would be in deep denial. lune and i are giving nessian the story that they deserve, but trauma is trauma. and like i said it’s going to take a long time for nesta to uncover how badly she’s been hurt for so long. but even just uncovering it won’t “fix” or help her. there are so many layers to the way her mother’s expectations cut away at her (and continue and will continue to do so!).

i believe nesta knows her mother was cruel, but she wouldn’t believe she’s been harmed without reason. which is why, even realizing that the expectations foisted on her were terrible and she couldn’t meet them if she really tried, she would simply be devastated that she could fail so badly. because that’s all she does in her own eyes, you know? she failed her mother, she failed her sisters, she failed her father, she fails cassian, she fails herself. she wouldn't think, "gee i shouldn't have been treated like shit like that", she'd think, "wow i can't believe i became high fae and i still can't manage to take care of my fucking family". i think it would be a setback in her healing and she’d have to climb those stairs too.

with the sermon over ⸻ & the feeling of many eyes on the his skin , he was quick to get up & wheel vivian towards the exist ( but not before asking permission ! always ask permission , lest she fusses ... it is her only way of walking . ) but in his escape attempt vivian's wheelchair bumped into another , causing them to halt & both apologize at the same time .

Wednesday. Hmm, lets start from the beginning. I wore a decently tight shirt today. Ms Noors class, blah blah. MR KELLY'S class was.. extremely entertaining, to say the least. Haneen was at THE center of attention! Haneen, Aziz, Dior, and Ragad's group presented their Loyalist poster. They were all dying of laughter for at least 10 minutes of class! IT WAS HILARIOUS! So, Mr Kelly said something like "Since you didn't stay after class yesterday for the essay like I told you to, you'll have to read your entire poster." HANEENS FACE!!! Gym, not alot happened. I was kinda talking to Ikra, Levi, and Kelly about Jarin lol. In Ms Bruno's class- I started to hate Vivian. Friends with Sara, hypocrite, social media addict.. Ugh. But anyways, for most of ELA me and Levi were just vibing in the back. At lunch, I hung out with Felicity again. In math last period, I was at the same table in the back as Levi, Kelly, Abubakar, and Preston. It was so crazy/funny/wild! Kelly and Abubakar had MAD beef over the calculator, and just mad beef overall. Lol, me and Kelly were chilling with each other (AGAINST Abubakar). Abubakar was roasting everybody, lmfao. At the end of class, Kelly & Abubakar were kicking each other. Hilarious! After school, me and Levi and Ajax hung out again, but without Cod because she’s pregnant. I was embarrassing all of them at the boba store and baskin robin.

1. OMG, HY’s mom wrote a card inviting XQC’s mom to bring her kids to visit her and baby HY. Talk about fated OTP connection!

2. Plot plot blah blah but two interesting things (a) Weis seem to not be involved in the evil org so yay for XX and for XQC not having to worry he married his sister into a pit of vipers and (b) HJW is still a shitty father who chose to follow his wife’s lead and neglect HY. I have zero sympathy for him. Wei Er Ge points out the obvious - HJW loved Vivian much more than he ever loved He Yu but the thing is, He Yu was a helpless dependent child thrown at the mercy of a woman who loathed him and a father who DNGAF. Even at the end, what broke HJW was not how he treated HY but that Vivian was not Vivian. Some people should not be allowed to have children.

3. The fact that HY could keep it all together learning this is insane. Because learning so much of your basic life is a lie, that your suffering was planned (RN13 exposure) not an accident, that you NEVER will have even the slightest possibility of family warmth (because yes, HY gave up on it but it’s potentially at least a remote possibility for him before, utterly impossible now) and just - the only person who genuinely would have loved him was killed right after his birth and he’s been living with her murderer? Good God.

4. XQC realizing why HY was so distraught when he came to find him and it had nothing to do with taking over the family business. And realizing why HY never let him know - because he was trying to protect him from being involved since org was looking for first emperor (and even his trying to take org down was in main part to protect him so they couldn’t chase him.) HY did all of this for a man who he thought at best occasionally pitied him. My God. I need XQC to break if for no other reason that this is the only way forward for him without being trapped in an endless frozen cycle. Ad aspera astra might as well be Meatbun’s motto.

5. Well, I guess my question as to how HY would ever be able to come back to the country without being prosecuted is answered. He gave so much info to the cops and he himself committed no real bad actions so possible at least. EXCEPT this was all in the event of his death (or I suppose if he returned safely and gave info like location tracker to the cops) - it was brilliantly planned except now he’s in Duan’s hands and cops using the info will show Duan HY is a traitor and he will be placed in hell.

6. XQC not being able to turn the page because his hands are shaking so badly but then Wei Er Ge helping and the last page is HY saying that he hopes he won’t ever need to use this note but if he does, his one request is not to let XQC know the truth about HY’s actions because he does not want the one person in the world who was good to him to know the truth. KNIVVVVVVES EVERYWHERE!!!

7. I love that Wei Er Ge ignored that request not just because this case is about to go wide public (which is terrifying in light of HY being in Duan’s clutches and nobody even knowing so no hope of rescue) but because it’s unfair to HY for the one person he cared about not to know the truth - as Wei Er Ge says, it would then be as if he never existed. Which actually, unbeknownst to Wei Er Ge, was He Yu’s great fear - thinking he mattered to nobody. (Remember as early as his first post-tower breakdown when he wonders if he’s alive.)

8. XQC is about to get a new guilt trip, all expenses paid, as he realizes it’s his fault HY is dead - if cops didn’t gun chase, HY would have fulfilled the mission safely and came back and cops were only able to track because XQC came to help. In a way, that would make, He Yu’s (fake) death and very real upcoming suffering in the org, something that is caused by XQC which I love from a narrative standpoint because HY earlier harmed XQC greatly and it sort of karmically evens the scales for me. Also, to love someone even after they caused you great harm is a Meatbun delicious staple - think Chu Wanning or Mo Xi.

Side note - yes, I realize that objectively the only ones truly culpable for this chain of events are Duan and the cops. Yes, except for XQC’s assistance, this chain of events would not have transpired even with their participation but he’s not morally culpable. Emotionally to himself though, is another matter, and he’s going to eat himself alive over it. But in a way, it also is a second chance - not just because maybe guilt will let him put down his barriers the way love alone was not able to, but also because he keeps losing his loved ones or innocent bystanders and blaming himself for it, but here finally - he will get a second chance, someone he blames himself for, someone he loves, will come back to him. I think that can heal a lot of his unresolved trauma.

9. XQC thinking of his last words to HY and how they were blame and just feeling worn out and stroking the words HY left and I am fucking crying at the table!

I have seen people in the comment thread of the official tweet saying that “I am abandoning the show, the show is ruined, blah blah blah blah blah“ because Charlie’s pants aren’t black…… Like seriously what does new redesign she got a slight color palette change with her wardrobe! If your devotion to a series you have been waiting a good couple years to finally come out can easily get thrown in the garbage over the color of a characters pants…… Who is the fandom you’re an embarrassment. It’s honestly embarrassing to rant on Twitter you think the show is going to the dogs because her pants aren’t black

When it comes to the pilot you should never 100% get attached or take it as in stone for how the official series will turn out.  Literally look at any pilot for your favorite cartoon and compare it to the final product. Most of the time it’s going to look drastically different best examples I can give are my life as a teenage robot and Steven universe. The pilots look absolutely nothing like the final product. Seriously people need to educate themselves. And no towel at the bottom of the image it says copyright 2021. Meaning nine months ago during the year 2021 when I said that the show did not get canceled it was in the process of being worked on, I was right :-)

I mean of course I would be right I used to want to be part of the animation industry. I used to want to be a cartoonist and I did a damn bunch of research for years. 

And honestly it’s not that big a deal if characters get minor or major redesigns. Have you seen Vaggie’s original design? She had dark purple hair in a bob cut, wore dark colors, AND she was in a relationship with Angel dust. Apparently Angel was originally going to be pan/bisexual and in a relationship with her before Vivian decided to make Vaggie and Charlie a couple while making angel strictly gay.

Things changed over the course of the pilot episode being made and of course things are going to change from the pilot becoming a official series. That is the industry norm and that’s always how it’s been and will always will be. 

In this fandom- you will see people hate on Mor for Azriel's broken feelings and for trying to protect her family from people that don't treat them right. You will see people hate on Gwyn, just because she talked to Azriel and being besties with Nesta. You'll see people hating on Elain, simply because 2 guys are interested in her and for wanting to live a simple life. You'll see people hating on Feyre for not thinking about Tamlin's trauma. You'll see people hating on Nesta constantly, always bringing up Nesta's past and completely ignoring her journey in acosf and the good things she has done. You'll see people hating on Amren because of the things she's said in acosf, pretending like she was never in the other books. Don't worry, these are not the only reasons why they all get constantly hated on.

You'll also see people putting Gwyn and Elain against each other. You'll see people putting Elain, Feyre and Nesta against each other. Nesta against Amren. Nesta against Mor. Gwyn against Mor. Not to mention that people also compare Feyre and Viviane, bringing Feyre down.

The women that don't get hate? Emerie, Vassa, Cresseida and Viviane.... but guess what? Vassa, Cressaida and Viviane don't get talked much about cause they only have like 3 lines in the whole series, while people often bring up Vassa and Emerie, just to shame on real life people. Using them for a ship war.

But don't worry! You won't see people hating on the bat boys or the other guys! Except for Tamlin, but that's because he really f** up.. even then, he has people supporting him. The reason why Lucien gets hated on is only because some people want to see the sweet girl with the dark haired, sad boy with shadows together- but still a large number loves him cause he really is a gentleman, despite having made mistakes. Oh, but what about Eris? Nah, he may be an asshole and yeah he may have slutshamed Mor, but he's hot and he's probably like Rhys, fighting for peace! Azriel? You won't see any hate about him- he may have creeped on Mor for 500 years and he can't control his emotions but he's traumatized and hot looking and no one cares about Mor anyway! Cassian? Oh no, he's our sweet and goofy boy- despite him saying nasty things to Nesta and not caring when Rhys hid the pregnancy problem from Feyre. Rhys? Nah, he f** up many times but he stays our feminist king, fighting for peace.... he's also hot.

You might only see people comparing Rhys and Tamlin, but they’re already against each other in the books. I promise you, no one will put the guys against each other! Especially the bat boys.

So, I have come to the conclusion that this fandom just hates to see women win.

idk if it’s as black and white as the acotar fandom hates women. there’s plenty of people i follow who stan the fuck out of the female characters. but i agree that it seems most in this fandom has a huge tendency to offer forgiveness toward a male character over a female one.

like legit the dudes could be committing literal war crimes and you will still find people saying “they had a rough childhood is ok” and a female character will say one unkind thing to someone and suddenly it’s “burn the slut!” can’t tell you how many times i’ve seen people go to the mat to protect eris the trashman vanserra from criticism (none of my moots who love trash, you’re all amazing and i love you!) but will throw mor on the pyre because “she’s lying” about him and everything and fuck her blah blah blah. stan whoever the fuck you want, no one cares. but can y’all please chill with the misogynistic reasons to hate a queer woman?

i’m not gonna play morality police and say who people can and cannot like and how they can like them. it literally doesn’t matter to me if someone likes my fave character or wants to throw them into the trash heap. i just wish everyone would be a bit more mindful on how they express their dislike. cause some of these opinions are gross and should stay in the drafts.
