The giant ancient space train now has sound. If you get hit by it, it's your own fault.

Note
You should have gone to Bethesda and asked them to let you license TES to make Underspace a TES space game instead.
Underspace was originally a TES space thing that never saw the light of day. Elements of that then got recycled into the game's own setting. The Ijuini (scottish capitalist space lobsters) were originally dreugh, the tickers (clockwork droids that harvest people's body parts if you steal from them) were originally Sotha Sil's boys and such.
I don't know how many elements people will see and recognize as being holdovers from when it was related to TES, but it'll be fun to see.

Unleash Your Imagination in Underspace
Tumblr media
Underspace sandbox RPG game with a Lovecraftian side playable on Linux via Windows PC. Thanks to the skilled crew at Pastaspace Interactive for making this happen. Available now on Steam Early Access and GOG with 79% Positive reviews. So, I recently dove into Underspace, the latest project from Pastaspace Interactive, which is a sandbox RPG. Also spearheaded by the modding legend Trainwiz. You know, the guy who gave us those wild Thomas the Tank Engine mods in Starfield and Skyrim. Now, this isn't just any launch - it's a big deal, getting a thanks in GamingBolt's "15 Big Titles Launching in April 2024". Pastaspace Interactive also emailed, "we have confirmed Linux sales and functionality!" Just a heads-up: the Underspace sandbox RPG doesn't have a native build. Early Access development is using Unity 3D. Where it is due to remain for the next year. But, good news - Proton support works smoothly; I've tested it myself. Still, it's wise to keep asking for Linux support in the Discussions. Big thanks to everyone who's already on it. What's unique about the Underspace sandbox RPG? This is a classic vibe from games like Freelancer but with a twist. You're thrown into a vast, meticulously crafted cosmos - over 110 star systems, all handmade, packed with stuff to discover. It's also pure exploration without shortcuts; no fast travel here. You zip around using lanelines, engines with three thrust levels, and also jump gates. It's like taking a road trip in space.

Finally pushing through to the end of Monarch. It's interesting how Keiko's been stuck in the Underspace since the 50s and when she asks what the world is like now they go with "TVs are flat" instead of "Godzilla stepped on San Francisco."

Would the common fear of unseen underspaces influence common Birrin architecture traits? Like, instead of completely floored off house levels, would it be likely to see interior balconies between main floors, upper floors, basements and the like, such that those on one floor would be able to see the below floor at least partially rather than leave it fully obscured? By extension, would Birrin typically have anxieties or superstitions about building structures too high into the sky or too low into the ground, because of all the unseen levels beneath a single inhabitant in a higher level at any given time?
I think they would have some good basement horror. As for how that is reflected in their buildings, I need to see what works design wise first as I start painting birrin towns.

so by purest coincidence I bought Underspace along with another game called Pacific Drive, which is basically about dealing with weird shit while driving a station wagon. since it looks like you can design your own ship in Underspace, my question is this; is it possible to make a ship that looks like a station wagon?
Underspace lets you customize your ships, but not design your own.

“Mmmmm...enjoying your stay down there, Herbivore?” I whimpered and squirmed. My face felt hot, thoroughly flushed...but I was not as warm as the soft, bountiful, oppressively heavy mountain of a bottom that now pressed down over my whole body. I wiggled, feeling the way those doughy, plump butt cheeks shifted whenever my form pushed into them; a shiver went through me as - even restrained by Leona Kingscholar’s tight-fitting black pants - I could feel the depth of the canyon that separated each of his glutes. The humid, musky atmosphere made me feel dizzy...or maybe that was just the weight that threatened to break my pitiful body. He chuckled. I froze, sensing the sadistic amusement in that soft, low laugh. My heartbeat pounded in my ribs, as if threatening to break through my own chest. I could feel the butterflies in my stomach as clearly as he could no doubt feel the hungry rumbles in his. “Heh heh...trying to escape, huh?” his teasing, husky voice drifted down to me. I then squeaked as he shifted his fat ass around me; a rump truly fit for a king, powerfully toned yet plump and bubbly as a booty could be. “Forget it, meat...you’re not going anywhere. Not unless I’M going to let you. And right now?” He flexed his glutes with a soft grunt; I squealed as my bones cried out sharply at the powerful muscles showing their strength beneath the padding of his literally princely posterior. “Mph...I’m not sure I wanna let you go. At all,” growled Leona, with dominant delight. I moaned; my face only turned redder at his words. It occurred to me the fate he was suggesting was something that most would find horrible...but for some bizarre reason, the humiliation and overwhelming degradation of the whole affair was only making me love this massive creature all the more. When he’d shrunk me down and declared he was going to give me “the birthday gift of a lifetime,” I didn’t think this would be what it would lead to. Just then, I felt the weight and pressure shift around me. I gasped for air and blinked as I suddenly felt a stinging sensation. Light! I...I could see light again! I wriggled, but it seemed like the pressure on my lower body was still quite intense; I realized Leona had leaned forward, allowing just my head and part of my upper body to poke free from the suffocating underspace. I whimpered again; it occurred to me that, puny as I must have been, even someone close to him would have had a hard time noticing me in the shadow of his superior form. I could see his tail - like some overgrown willow branch - swaying not so far from my crimson face. Beneath my nose, I could see the surface of the bench into which his ponderous butt was now pressing me...and beyond, I could see the greenery of the botanical garden. One of his favorite places. “Drink it up, my miniature Herbivore,” his voice crooned. “I’m not sure you’re gonna get another chance to see daylight again. As soon as you pass out under my butt...” I heard the gurgle of his stomach, and his tongue slapping against his lips. I should have been terrified - and truth be told, I was - but I couldn’t help but shut my eyes, scrunching up my face in flustered embarrassment. My little hands pawed at the surface beneath me, fruitlessly trying to drag the rest of me free. I managed to utter just two words - “P-Please, Leona...!” - before another chuckle cut me off. “Happy Birthday, Herbivore,” Leona cooed. “Let’s see if you make it to another, huh?” Well, at least I knew I had SOME chance of survival. Not that it helped much. This was the last thought I had before - with a sigh of pleasure - Leona Kingscholar buried me once again, leaning back on the bench. The light vanished...and once more, I was trapped under what had to be tons of plump, plush weight, with only the musk of his rear end to breathe. His final words to me only forced my heart to palpitate again. “Mmmmm...all mine.”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The art above was the absolutely GORGEOUS work of fellow Leona fan @braxtonprisms. They really put a lot of effort into making this belated birthday gift for me, and I’m extremely grateful. <3 Not much else to say. If you need me, hopefully I’ll still be breathing...but with Leona, it’s hard to say. >///>
