Pre-Order GRAMMY-Winners Donald Lawrence & Twinkie Clark’s New Single “Fix Me Jesus!”
Tumblr media
GRAMMY® Award-winning producer, songwriter, and recording artist Donald Lawrence has created another captivating track, with the release of his latest single “Fix Me Jesus.” A visualizer for “Fix Me Jesus” will be released on Juneteenth (June 19). Helming a powerful tribute to Twinkie Clark’s original song, Lawrence presents a newly-recorded performance of “Fix Me Jesus,” joining together with the incredible talents of GRAMMY®-winner Sir The Baptist, and the ensemble Jason Max Ferdinand & The Jason Max Ferdinand Singers.
Following the release of his first single and music video, "In Him There Is No Sorrow" which featured Yolanda Adams, "Fix Me Jesus" marks the second single from Donald Lawrence's upcoming album, Donald Lawrence Presents Power: A Tribute to Twinkie Clark. The album is now available for pre-order, and listeners who pre-save/pre-add will receive the new song “Fix Me Jesus” and "In Him There Is No Sorrow" to enjoy as instant grat tracks. While “In Him There Is No Sorrow” is a tribute to Twinkie Clark’s songwriting and praising God’s steadfast strength to carry you, “Fix Me Jesus” expresses a deep desire for spiritual healing and transformation.
"Fix Me Jesus" offers a contemporary arrangement of Twinkie Clark's original track, with gospel maestro Donald Lawrence creating a mesmerizing call-and-response harmonic tapestry with the sounds of Sir The Baptist, Jason Max Ferdinand and his choral ensemble that drives the song’s core message. The song takes listeners on a spiritual journey, with a declaration in calling out in faith and the power of God as a source to overcome obstacles, find strength and fulfillment.
Set to release on September 15th, Lawrence’s new album Donald Lawrence Presents Power: A Tribute to Twinkie Clark, is an album dedicated to celebrating Twinkie Clark's early solo work. The album will feature a special lineup of performances with new covers of Twinkie Clark's songs from her classic Power album, paying tribute to her historic artistry and acclaimed songwriting, which continues to resonate in gospel today.
Check out “Fix Me Jesus” and “In Him There Is No Sorrow” available now, and pre-order Donald Lawrence Presents Power: A Tribute to Twinkie Clark before its September 15th release.

All For The Bit
okay so, bear with me here
When Trigun came into the world the typical shonen protagonist was the loudmouth cheery guy who shouted a lot about friendship, generally had a lot of feelings and wasn't too bright but they had HEART
And this was kind of Vash's Bit in the manga and '98 anime. This is the role he presented himself in. Not an entirely false personality, often exaggerating his own traits, but still a deliberate choice. He's modeled after the harmless, nonthreatening Loudmouth.
Now we come to present day. Now the prevalent shonen protag tends to be The Wimp. Soft-spoken, the ultimate doormat, essentially decent and kind but weak-willed. Earnest, but no one takes them seriously. Eager to please. Belittles themself.
*looks pointedly at Trigun Stampede Vash*
Vash has updated The Bit. He now presents himself as The Wimp because that is the common type of protagonist in recent times. That is the type of protagonist viewers will be most familiar with. He's not like 90s Vash because he is 20s Vash, he's this generation's Vash.
I have no idea if Orange did this deliberately but I think it's cool. It's a new show made by a new generation of creators who want to tell new stories about characters they love.

"It was such an amazing feeling, to feel the audience in the palm of your hand, where they're hanging on every word that you're saying. And you know that you could pause -and sometimes I'd hold the pause even a little longer- and then when you finally speak it has a little bit more power."

saw a post about Mustard Red that inspired this but one of my favorite aspects of fatt that emerges from their overall collaborative philosphy and their game-switching/multiple games in the same setting is that certain NPCs that are either former PCs or were at one point played by a non-Austin player really carry that with them forever. like, gucci existed before the MB kingdom game, but she’ll forever have the sort of self-conscious brusqueness of a Janine character. likewise, kenneth marion culver is forever shaped by the specific way keith portrayed him in the first r2pal intro he appeared in. i just love how the non-GM players manage to leave their fingerprints all over these weird little guys

Can you do a blurb where austin uses the Elvis voice against you and just the back forth of him practicing doing the voice?!!! You are doing gods work!! Ily!
Hi!! Thank you so much for requesting! Here it is, darling, I hope you enjoy!
Baby | Austin Butler x reader
Warnings: none, I think? Let me know if there’s anything I missed!
Tumblr media
You knew your boyfriend was completely dedicated to his latest role, feeling the pressure of portraying the King of Rock and Roll. What you didn’t anticipate was exactly how good Austin would sound putting in the work to sound like Elvis.
He had been watching interviews and performances religiously and, with the help of his dialect coach, was determined to perfect that iconic Southern drawl. So, he had started using it in conversations with you. But when he noticed how it made you weak in the knees, well… he learned how to use that to his advantage.
“Babyyyy,” he whined from his spot next to you on the couch, “would you mind grabbing me a soda from the fridge real quick?”
It was one of the rare lazy days the two of you had. You were curled up on the couch together, you with your copy of Emma and Austin with his copy of What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, lounging in the living room of his place in Australia where he was currently filming. Elvis was playing softly in the background, as usual.
“You’ve got legs of your own that work perfectly fine, you can get it yourself,” you teased, nudging him with your foot.
He turned to you with those big blue puppy dog eyes he did way too well. You opened your mouth, ready to shut down whatever plea he had, when he said oh-so-slowly, “Aw c’mon, baby, please?” in that damn husky drawl he’d been working on for weeks.
You felt your face flush, and a victorious smirk crossed his face.
You immediately tried to school your face into a neutral expression. “You’re gonna have to try harder than that, Butler,” you said, returning your attention to your book.
He moved closer to you, close enough you could feel his breath on your neck. “Baby,” he crooned, his lips brushing your cheek,
“Darlin’…” his mouth moved to that sensitive spot just under your ear.
“Sweetheart…” he drawled as his lips worked a trail down your neck.
Just as you had begun to melt under his attention, he returned to the topic that had started this whole situation. “Please,” he breathed against your neck, husky Southern twang warming his voice, “grab me a soda from the fridge.”
Your half-lidded eyes flew open and you pushed yourself off the couch, face flushed. He smirked, knowing exactly what the warm Southern drawl, among other things, had done to you.
“This is just because I want to get myself a snack and I might get you a soda if I feel like it,” you insisted, rushing off to the kitchen before he could see how affected you were.
“Whatever you say, baby,” Austin called after you, still in that same drawl, “whatever you say.”
