The Geneaology Tree by Vladimir Kush
Like many other cultures, the ancient Slavs envisioned a great and sacred Tree at the center of their Cosmos, an Oak whose great span anchored many planes of existence, with branches spanning into the Heavens and roots running deep into the Underworld.

The Dark, Twisted, Inbred(???) World of Sailor Moon Fan-made Family Trees
For over thirty minutes I show you around the deep dark world of Sailor Moon fan lineages, like TMZ for anime. Did you know hair color can be patrilineal?
I genuinely love Sailor Moon fandom and every single Sailor Earth it has ever produced. All fandom wants is for two characters with the Tsukino last name to marry each other and if that takes skipping six generations then so be it, how else are we gonna pass down Sailor Cosmos's starseed?

If anyone wants a sneak peek/spoilers of where the History Challenge family is at, I’ve updated the plumtree (geneaology) with pictures of eeeeveryone. Even the insignificant branches that just evolves on their own. Wasn’t going to do that, it has taken me almost all day, but alas, once I get an idea like that stuck in my head I just have to do it even if it’s stupid hahaha.
Check the family out here if you want!
I love my babies soooo much uhuhu. They’re all so beautiful too.

My half great uncles Owen and Leon Jaynes. The shorter one is Leon. I was told that he became a professional boxer. He died a long time before I was born. Owen died when I was a baby.

Hey hey! New here! I’ve been a fan of Outlander since 2015 and honestly I lost interest after book 5… keep watching the show but still I couldn’t read book 6 until season 7A. I saw the first two episodes and I felt the need of read the book. So finally I did it and I enjoy every single one (6, 7, 8 and 9). And I was wondering, on book 6 I think, Claire wrote to Brianna about the present her uncle (Lambert) gave her on her wedding day with Frank… do you think DG would go back there on the books because I don’t remember any mention of that after that letter 🤔
Btw, your posts are amazing 🙌🏻
Thanks, @dstormborn13!
So - the gift that Uncle Lamb gave to Claire on the occasion of her wedding to Frank was a family geneaology:
I also still wondered whether he might have any connection to my own family of Beauchamps, but there was no way of knowing; Uncle Lamb had done a rudimentary family genealogy, I knew—mostly for my sake—but I‘d paid no attention to it. Where was it now? I wondered. He‘d given it to me and Frank when we married, neatly typed up and put in a manila folder. (An Echo In The Bone)
This was the first we ever heard of this gift. And we haven't heard about it since; I had hoped that perhaps it would come up in Book 9, when Brianna and family returned to the past, but it didn't.
However - Book 7 did come with the full Outlander Family Tree, which presumably contains the same information about Claire's genealogy as what Uncle Lamb would have included. And while it's interesting to see these names - we don't know much more about these people than their dates of birth and death. Perhaps Uncle Lamb discovered more about them, and included more information in what he gave to Claire. That, to me, would be interesting to read someday...

Geneaology of the Tribe of Ancients
Tumblr media

A family tree I put together of all the confirmed members of the Tribe of Ancients from Super Paper Mario, as well as the Tribe of Darkness, which split off at some point in the past. Most of this is explicitly confirmed in-game, with the only true inferences being regarding the Tribe of Darkness.
I put it here that the Tribe of Darkness was founded by the man who defeated the Pixl Queen and is said to have hidden the Dark Prognosticus. The Tribe of Darkness is similarly said to have hidden the book and in the present it is generally considered hidden by "someone".
The other point of inference is the defeater of the Pixl Queen being a descendant of the son of the magician who made the Pixls in the first place. This is based on the fact that this son is said to have survived an accident that was otherwise fatal, and a point is made to mention his ultimate fate is mysterious, indicating there is more significance to it.

random storytime bc im autistic about geneaology
family history on my dad's side of the family is weird. my (catholic) grandmother had a few customs that are like jewish mourning customs (shiva). there was another custom involving the red string that she had told me and my sister about when we were kids. her family is from germany, galway ireland, and moselle france. idk why she did it, but her sister said the mourning customs sound like something people "did in the past." mayhaps it's a whole anusim situation, since i did find a (unverified) connection on the french side to a tree on JewishGen.
then there's my grandfather, an only child who was orphaned (temporarily) as a child. his father was 9 years older than his mother, and seemed to have met her when she was a minor. they married when she was 19, and my grandpa was born when she was 20. she abandoned him and his father quickly after, and never got back in contact. he was taken care of by his aunt while his father was a soldier in WW2. his father remarried, so he had step siblings.
...but my dad has a half first cousin match on ancestry... meaning my grandfather has/had a half sibling out there somewhere (potentially, a brother who's 2 years younger than him and died in 2012). normal people would just go message my dad's cousin and ask about it. will i do that? not yet. i'm gonna sleuth on my own, cause this may actually be something i can figure out... unlike my grandmother's customs.

Lavender and Lace: Mother’s Tree stitched by Sherry Kane Daniloff. Pattern designed by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum.
‘I did this Mother's Tree for 2 of my nieces... the first one was complete at 11 generations. Then my sister got the geneaology bug.  I ripped out the tree, added the earlier 6 generations and restitched the tree on a second piece of fabric. There's plenty of additional fabric at the current end of the piece for additional generations. The second Mother's tree was done with the entire 16-17 generations as well as the tree at the top. One of my most extensive projects to date...
it's a Mother's Tree so only females are represented. No generations were left out, and it would have ended if no daughters had had a baby girl! I charted out each name according to the pattern, which was very well laid out. I found the longest name to establish the outside border. I used Jobelan 32 count.”

Just thought of something funny about the birth certificate...
In the United States, a certificate of live birth is issued whenever a child is born. Each state has its own regulations or requirements for what information is recorded on each certificate. However, there are some "universal truths" of sorts that do exist.
For example, if a couple is married whenever a child is born, there is no need to conduct an affidavit of paternity. Most all states assume the father is the husband in the United States. If a couple is not married, most states will offer the option of a paternity affidavit. This serves the purpose of declaring the father on the birth certificate, as well as legal matters that may arise later (i.e. child support). Each state has its own laws regarding custody and paternity, but most all offer the option at the hospital.
Usually, in the United States, when a child is born in a hospital... the paperwork is filed before the parents leave the hospital with baby. If there needs to be any paternity affidavit, it is usually filed before you are discharged. It comes with incentives, because to file an amended certificate to add the paternity affidavit can cost over two hundred dollars in some places. My main point though is that it is no longer the 1950s. "BABY GIRL such and such" doesn't happen any more. You usually have the name and everything filed with the hospital, who then files with the county, before you go home.
However, It may take a while before the actual certificates get filed in a system. For example, if I were born on the 4th of June, my certificate of live birth may not actually be filed and registered until the end of the month or later. Especially given the difficulties of COVID, I would imagine the filings having needed more time. But that isn't my point about the funny thing, this is just some good information.
BACK ON TO MY HILAROUS REALIZATION...
Anywhoodle.
Whenever you fill out paperwork in the United States that requires a notary public, you must present valid government identifcation. If the ID is expired, it will not do. Usually, in most states, the ID name must match the name on the document if it is being notarized.
For example, if I were getting a document notarized, but the name on the document didn't match the name on my valid government ID, I would need to either get the document amended, or I would need to go get a new vaild government ID with the name on the document.
Sally Rongsong cannot sign a document that has Susan Rongsong's name on it. You dig?
So, when I look at the names listed under the "first" and "last" categories, I laugh.
I will post the pictures after this, but if you google the certificate of live birth that was released to the press for Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-WIndsor, you will find that the name of the father is listed as:
"THE DUKE OF SUSSEX HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS"
His first name is listed as "The Duke of Sussex".
His last name is listed as "His Royal Highness"
Meaning TWO THINGS:
1. Harry's valid government ID would most likely have to have his legal name listed as "The Duke of Sussex His Royal Highness"
2. Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-WIndsor should have "His Royal Highness" following after it for the child to take her father's legal last name in America.
If the document was notarized, then the name should match his ID. He probably does have an ID saying "THE DUKE OF SUSSEX HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS'
But, that would also then mean that Meghan didn't give Lilibet her father's legal last name. In The United States, parents can legally name their child anything they choose. If I wanted to name a child Han Solo Berger in honor of That's My Boy, I could. Legally I could. But that would mean that child doesn't have it's father's last name.
The way records are recorded and preserved in the United States, it would mean a geneaological break in a family tree.
I know this personally, as it happened with my husband. His entire family line has a last name spelled one way, but from his grandfather on, the spelling changed. In just two generations, one spelling of an entire family tree is forever changed. Our offspring will officially be the new spelling. This happens all the time. Which is why filling out a certificate of live birth is such a serious moment.
The documents filed for children in the United States are treated as special, sacred, almost holy artifacts. A social security number and a birth certificate are the keys to citizenship and civil rights. People die for the chance to come here while the most undeserving get popped out by the minute here for free. These documents are needed throughout the entirety of life. School enrollments, driver's licenses, passports, immunization records, W-2s, I-9s, and on and on...
That certificate of live birth will be filed so that when a birth certificate is ready, it can be filed digitally. They will pull the parents' names from this document.
I could totally be wrong and they could have some special treatment because of his royalty status. I just know how it is in most of the United States for most regular folks.
If I am wrong, PLEASE point me to the references so I can retract and correct this. I am the first to correct myself if I am wrong, so please don't feel bad to correct me if you've got the info to teach me. I love to learn new things, and I love learning in moments of critical thinking. That's when the lesson really sticks! So don't be shy. Show me what you know and where you got it, and I will follow your treasure map of correction and truth!
My whole point is hypothetically, Lili should have the last name "His Royal Highness" as it is listed as her father's last name. Technically, Lili's parents are Rachel Meghan Markle and The Duke of Sussex His Royal Highness. Like they'd have to show IDs saying that if they weren't married already. But either way, her father's first and last name is The Duke of Sussex His Royal Highness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
NOW OF COURSE... HE IS THE SECOND SON OF DIANA!!!
He may have gotten some special treatment for the way things got done for him. Which is likely. But, for those people who decry and denouce a live birth took place, him using THE DUKE OF SUSSEX HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS as his FIRST NAME LAST NAME definitely adds fuel to the never-birther fires.
I have a whole new theory regarding the offspring now that they've made they're offical last royal appearances. Meaning, I believe this was always in the cards to be their last real appearance with the Royal Family in any capacity whatsoever.
But that's a whole theory and a half and it's totally insane and I don't know who would even want to hear about it. Maybe if I get froggy I will hop around and find a good lily pad to settle on and tell you the tales of misery and deceit that bubble out like fan fiction rather logical truth 😉😜😘
BUT I Digress...
Maybe someone can photo shop a California Driver's LIcense with THE DUKE OF SUSSEX HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS listed for his first and last name. Like he's not a person at all. He's just a title. Just a description of a placement.
It would be like my husband putting his rank and military branch as his first and last name. Or if someone was a teacher and put English Teacher Assistant Softball Coach as their first and last name. Or like if Melania had another baby with Trump, and he put "THE 45TH US PRESIDENT" as his first and last name. If get gets pulled over, he'd whip out his government with "THE 45TH US PRESIDENT".
Yo
But that's how it goes in the US.

Thoughts on current cyl 6 designs and ghb? Who'd you free summon/are going for?
OH I NEW I FORGOT TO DO SOMETHING TODAY
*ahem* anyway!
Outside of Chrom I wasn’t super excited for this group, so I summoned him, but I feel like Chrom almost got the short end of the stick because everyone else is wearing clothes based on someone close to them and Chrom is pretty much wearing his standard Great Lord outfit. (Which is probably what happens when you’re at your fourth (?) non-seasonal Alt, I also think Brave Luci and L!Luci are similar and am disappointed by that)
I mean I love him because he is my husband but you know, cowards coulda put him in Emmeryn’s outfit to fit the theme is all I’m saying.
Jeralt as the GHB is absolutely delightful and I just got around to getting him in Three Hopes because I am the worst gamer ever and incredibly fucking slow so happy to see more of him!
Seliph in his dad’s clothes are cool, if I had more of an emotional connection to Geneaology I think that would probably be the one I enjoyed the most
Female Byleth in Sothis Regalia is cool conceptual but something about the artwork itself puts me off. Idk I don’t like the way she’s looking at me. Gives me the creeps
PenekoR my beloved but They coulda put Tiki in Naga’s or Bantu’s outfits instead of literally just her younger self which by design is very similar to her adult outfit. Or maybe something representing Mila since she was sleeping in the Mila tree?
So overall I’m kind of lukewarm on the Brave units this year, which isn’t surprising because other than Chrom I was lukewarm on the winners anyway. I’m sure people who are bigger fans of these characters are much happier

List 5 things that make you happy, then put this in the ask box for the last 10 people who liked or reblogged something from you. 💖
while i haven't decided who and if i'll send this ask too, here's my response
cats(heck i recently posted a selfie with me and one of my cats)
thai chicken curry
seeing good quality crossover fanart with fave characters(especially if it depicts charas not commonly drawn together as friends, a couple etc)
geneaology(though i have no desire to start a family of my own, i like looking through old records and adding ancestors, their sibs etc to trees. too bad i've hit brick walls on both parents sides now due to a combo of factors(ww2 make tracing my dad's side super difficult and most european records not destroyed are hard to access for Americans. While familysearch only uploaded select mexican records, so there's gaps, but besides that i have WAY more ancestors listed on my mom's side with help of familysearch. no i'm not mormon- i just freeload off their site since they got tons of free sources)
gluten free version of desserts i enjoyed eating before cutting gluten out of my diet
i know ask only said 5, i but i want to mention i love seeing dyed hair and wigs with unnatural hair colors. i just hate that my scalp is sensitive to wigs, dying my hair too often damages my hair, and that most dyes fade too easily(why do they all have to to be semi-perm, and not a mix of perm and semi perm in every color)
nancy drew games and other games with similar play style/themes etc

How To Connect With Your Ancestors in 10 EFFECTIVE Ways
Tumblr media
posted by : kitty fields
Your ancestors are here. They’ve always been and always will be. When you breathe, you use DNA given to you by your maternal ancestors. When you cry or laugh, you cry and laugh with your ancestors’ DNA. I have spent the past five years connecting with my ancestors in various ways. There aren’t many books out there to guide you in your efforts. This I had to learn on my own. Now I wish to share my experiences with you to help you connect with your ancestors on a deeper level and hopefully they become a pillar of your spiritual practice.
Cultural Ties and Ancestors
Tumblr media
Preliminary Ways to Connect With Your Ancestors
geneaology
scrapbooking
framing pictures
1. Genealogy
The first way to connect with your ancestors is get to know them. Sounds difficult seeing as how they are dead, right? Wrong! It’s tedious work, but it’s well worth it. Start a family tree online, on a Word Doc, or manually on a poster board. For me, I went with the online family tree via ancestry.com. The cool thing about ancestry.com is that it searches a huge archive of files and documents for information. If you enter your parents’ names first, the website will notify you of document matches almost immediately. For instance, you’ll find your father’s war documentation or your mother in a newspaper article. These are just minor examples.
More on Family Trees
The point to setting up a family tree is to get to know who your ancestors were as far as their names, time periods in which they lived, their occupations, where they lived, and where they were originally from. If you live in the United States and not Native American, this means your ancestors came from somewhere else (obviously). Do you know anything about their original mother-land? Do you know the traditions, religions, and history of your ancestors’ land? These are all ways to dive into your ancestry and get to know your ancestors.
DNA and Ancient Ancestors
I know some people are hesitant about having their DNA analyzed. I’ve had mine done and it’s helped me connect to my ancestors in many ways…but it has also had its drawbacks. So be aware of the potential negatives that can occur after doing your DNA. However, once your DNA is analyzed, you may be surprised of your ancestral connections. In addition to having your DNA done through Ancestry or 23andMe, upload your results into MyTrueAncestry to discover your ancient and Medieval ancestors! For example, my initial DNA results told me I am half English…but MyTrueAncestry took that back even further and told me I’m part Saxon, Celt, and Danish Viking!
2. Scrapbooking
Once you’ve established a family tree either, create a scrapbook of your ancestors. This is another very time-consuming project; however, you’ll grow closer to your ancestors by focusing on their lives in this manner. Get a large scrapbook from a craft store and gather stickers, craft papers and media, and whatever other tidbits you might like to add. Designate this book to your ancestors only. From there, start by separating your ancestors one-by-one or by family name, whatever you feel is best. Then add photos of your ancestors, their names, dates of birth and death, occupations, etc. Anything that you feel is important and relevant to your connection with your ancestors can go in the book.
Shutterfly
If you’re not big into crafting, use Shutterfly.com to put together a scrapbook for you. I’ve used this service multiple times to build pretty photo albums of family vacations and holidays. More recently, I put together an entire album of my grandmother’s ancestry and gave it to her as a gift. Following, I knew my ancestors were honored and pleased. It costs anywhere from thirty to sixty dollars depending on how many photos you want in your album. But it cuts out the physical work for you!
Framing Photos
In addition to ancestor scrapbooking, if you have any older photos of your ancestors (especially originals) it’s time to frame them. The time that you put into framing these photos and hanging them is time spent with your ancestors. Think of them and of the lives they lived, and think of the blood that courses through your veins and how it also ran through theirs. Hang these photographs in one place to honor your ancestors, or hang them around the house to show reverence and invoke protection over your home.
Ways to Spiritually Connect With Your Ancestors
altars
offerings
dreamwork
ritual
prayer
hobbies
foods
3. Set Up Ancestor Altars
You’ve spent time getting to know about your ancestors’ lives, now it’s time to spiritually connect with your ancestors. Set up an ancestor altar or shrine. The altar can be inside or outside. It can be a corner of the hallway or an entire wall in your living room. Basic items to include on your ancestor altar: candles, pictures, mementos/heirlooms, flowers, herbs and stones, incense.
4. Ancestor Offerings
Once your ancestor altar is set up, begin honoring them with an offering. When you decide on an offering, be sure it’s something your ancestors like. If you’re honoring ancestors from ancient times, take an educated guess. They will let you know if you are off…trust me. Examples of ancestor offerings include: spring water, wine/mead/beer, fruits of various kinds (apples and citrus will keep nicely on an altar for days), cakes and breads, cigars and tobacco. Change them out as necessary.
5. Dreamwork
Our ancestors will come to us in dreams. How do you talk and connect with your ancestors easily? Ask your ancestors to visit you in your dreams. You will be surprised how quickly they show up. I had one particular ancestor visit me in my dreams and I remembered her name. This was before I even realized she was my ancestor, until I started doing research on my family tree! I had missed one letter in her name originally, but she made it abundantly clear later on! Again, all you have to do is to ask them to show up and they will. In the morning, record your ancestor dreams so you can refer to them later.
6. Ritual
Incorporate your ancestors into your rituals and meditations. Call on your ancestors to protect your circle and workings and invite them to be present. My suggestion is to invite them to your sacred space first, then ask for favors later. You can create an entire ritual with the simple intention to connect with your ancestors. Some people have an easy time writing their own rituals, but if you are not one of those people…here’s one of mine.
7. Ancestor Prayer
When I pray, I don’t typically pray to God or Goddess…I pray to my ancestors. Talk to them as though they’re right next to you, listening to every word you say. I do this in my head or out loud, depending on who’s around. You can pray to your ancestors, too. It doesn’t have to be elaborate or rhyme. You don’t have to bow or get on your knees. They are your family and want to hear your voice. Just pray. Another big piece to the ancestral puzzle is healing generational curses. Though this is something that takes many years. Prayer is the start.
8. Hobbies
An effective way to learn how to connect with your ancestors is to do what your ancestors did. Did your grandmother like to crochet? Time to pick up the crochet needle! Was your great uncle an expert fly fisherman? Consider taking up his pasttime. Or take it back to the older days and learn a skill your ancient ancestors might have known: survival skills like building a fire, hunting, weaving, etc.
9. Foods
A fun way to connect, especially if you love food, is to cook meals in honor of your ancestors. Make your grandmother’s bread pudding recipe or your aunt’s gingerbread. Pull out the old family cookbooks and choose a recipe to recreate. OR research your ancestors’ foods from their ancestral homeland. For example, if your ancestors are Irish – Dublin coddle, soda bread or colcannon. If they are Nigerian – pepper soup, gari, or egusi soup. Set a place at the table for your ancestors and/or leave part of the meal on their altar.
10. Meditation
Meditation is helpful in so many ways, and it can also be used to communicate with your ancestors. Find a guided meditation on YouTube. Wait until you have a quiet moment alone. Turn off your electronics and dim the lights. Ask your ancestors to be present with you and for your ancestral guide to come through during your meditation. Then let them speak to you in that quiet space.
You’re struggling to connect with your ancestors. Have you tried pathworking to meet and talk to them? Pathworking is a clever, fancy name for guided meditation. Here I give you one of my ancestor guided meditations. You’ll just need to have someone read it to you, or record it to play for yourself. Pathworking is a great way to practice your meditation skills PLUS reach out to your ancestors on a more personal, experiential level.
A Guided Underworld Meditation: Conversation With An Ancestor
Start by finding a quiet place where you’ll be alone and undisturbed.
Close your eyes and slow your breathing.
Focus on the air moving in and out of your lungs. One breath at a time. (pause for 15-20 seconds)
Continue to breathe in this way until you’re fully relaxed. From head to toe. (pause for 15-30 seconds)
With your eyes still closed, you’ll begin to see a tree in the distance. Walk towards the tree. As you get closer and closer, you notice the tree is very large. It’s great limbs stretch into the heavens, and it’s roots jut out all around it and then penetrate into the earth. The trunk of the tree is glowing.
Slowly walk towards it. Don’t be afraid of it. (pause 15 seconds)
The light from the trunk grows brighter and brighter until it envelopes you completely.
You feel yourself being gently pulled down into the tree by the light. This feeling is comforting and warm. You give in to where the tree’s light wants to take you.
Down. Down. Gliding down the roots of the tree and through the earth your soul travels.
The earth breaks apart and you’re now standing in an open cave. Someone also enveloped in a bright, white light is walking towards you. You smile when you realize, it is one of your ancestors.
Your ancestor approaches you slowly and when his or her face comes into view, you notice he or she is smiling. His/her eyes are bright and full of love for you. (pause 15 seconds)
Speak with your ancestor for a few minutes or as long as it takes. Ask them their name and what message they have for you. What guidance they have for your life. Ask your ancestor to agree on a particular sign they will send you when you ask for one, sort of like a secret handshake. Also ask them how best you may honor them in your spiritual practice. (pause 2-5 minutes)
When the conversation is over, thank them and turn to go back up the tree’s roots.
The divine light from the tree pulls you up, up, up and back to middle earth. Your feet are planted firmly on the ground and you turn to leave the glowing tree behind you. (pause 15 seconds)
