You and your party were taking out ships left and right, yipping and cheering whenever they successfully came crashing to the ground.
There was one ship in particular though, the one that lead all of the other ones, so of course it was bigger than all of the over ships you took down.
You could do it, you know you could do it. You know you’re capable of showing the sky people that they fucked with the wrong clan.
So you did.
You flew around the ship, searching for its weak spot. And once you did, you loaded up your bow and fired right at it. But it wasn’t enough.
Without thinking, you jump onto the ship, telling your ikran to stay close to you, but also stay hidden. Once you get onto the ship, you take out all of the soldiers who were firing the guns on top of the ship, robbing them of their grenades and weapons.
After the area is clear, you take the pins out of the grenades and throw them into the engines and into the broken window of the ship, leaping off of the ship once your job is done.
That’s when a feeling of panic rushes through your mate, neteyam. Automatically looking in your direction to see you falling mid-air, instinctively making him drop everything to catch you before you hit the ground. “Y/N!!” He calls, but the loudness of the raid around you being too loud for you to catch onto it.
Right as he calls for you though, he hears your call for you ikran, and seconds later he sees that you’ve safely (for the most part) made it through. A wave of relief hits him, but also anger.
How could you be so reckless? What were you thinking? What if your ikran didn’t come for you? What if-
“Bro! Come on! We’ve gotta go!” Lo’ak shouts, snapping neteyam back to reality.
Oh were you going to get an ear full once neteyam had you.
✫彡 ミ★
You and your party all dismount your ikrans, all checking on each other before going to check on everyone else. You walk around anxiously, nerves building the more you couldn’t find your mate.
But once you catch a glimpse of him, your ears perk up and tail sway excitedly, speed walking over to him to make sure he’s alright. Before you approach him though, lo’ak steps in front of you, hands up as if he was holding you away from Neteyam. “I’d be careful if I were you, tey is really pissed off right now and I’m almost positive you have something to do with it.” He warns, tone sarcastic yet serious. You turn your head to the side, confusion painting your features, “What are you talking about, Lo’ak?” All you get in response is a smart-ass, “Bro, really?” Which makes you stare at him, annoyance clear in your face. “Yes, really! What are you-“ “Y/n.” You freeze at the sound of Neteyams voice, knowing that he only sounds like that when he’s really pissed off about something. And the fact that you were what pissed him off made you feel like shit. Lo’ak gives you a look of sympathy before walking off to join kiri and spider. Leaving you to deal with your mate.
“Neteyam?..”you say tenderly, but he doesn’t answer. He just stares down at you with anger apparent in his face, tail swishing back in forth in irritation. Before you can open your mouth to say anything else, he grabs your wrist firmly, tugging you into the direction of your shared hut.
“What the fuck were you thinking? Pulling some reckless shit like that? Do you realize what could’ve happened to you?” All of his questions were rhetorical and angry, but regardless you answered anyway. Knowing exactly what he was talking about.
“Reckless? You wanna talk about half the shit you and lo’ak were doing? But when I do something that’ll benefit, our people, it’s a problem?” You retort, slamming your bow back on its stand and throwing your ionar on the wooden table.
“What me and lo’ak were doing doesn’t even compare to what you were doing! That shit you pulled was extremely dangerous and stupid. And why would you even think to do anything like that by yourself when you know your party is right behind you?” He shouts, taking off his own ionar and placing it on the same table you put yours on.
“Really, teyam? I’m more than capable of handling a mission by myself. Of course I appreciate that my party being there but I don’t need them to hold my hand through the whole raid. I’m not a fucking child!” You shout at your mate, officially pissed off because of his attitude.
“You sure as hell acted like one though!, why would you ever think of doing something like that? You could’ve been killed.” He uses his hands to punctuate each of his words, one of the signs that told you he was pissed off and serious about what he was talking about.
“But I wasn’t! Because I know what the fuck I’m doing!”you quip, ears pressed tightly to your skull and tail swishing angrily behind you. He just scoffed walking towards you to lift up your arm, revealing a deep gash from your bicep to your wrist, the sight makes you wince, the pain now hitting you quickly.
“Do you? Because if that was the case then this wouldn’t be here.” His tone is like a dagger in your heart, making you feel as if you’re a burden because of your choice. Your expression softens slightly, ears twitching with every breath he takes and tail swaying low to the ground.
He places your arm back to your side, putting his hand on your lower back and guiding you to the bed and tilting his head towards it, silently ordering for you to sit down.
You obey quickly, wincing when the feathers of your loincloth rub against the cut. You watch neteyam walk over to the corner of your hut to grab the white first aid box that his dad gave him, along with a bunch of other medical supplies and salves, making you anxiously play with the thigh bracelet he made you.
He crouches down infront of you, opening his palm towards you gesturing for you to give him your arm, and willingly, you do.
He cleans the wound gently, even though he was still mad he still treated you like the most precious thing on pandora. It made your heart throb. Knowing that he loves you so unconditionally.
“Teyam..” you say softly, all you get in response is just a glance, one that told you to be careful with whatever you were going to say next. “I’m..i’m sorry. I shouldn’t have been so reckless and make you worry about me. It was wrong of me to put myself in a position that I knew wasn’t safe, and I knew that would irritate you because I put my life on the line to save our people.” You admitted genuinely, tail swaying anxiously as you awaited his response.
He continued cleaning your wound, humming quietly in response to your apology as he reached into the kit to grab some gauze and a bandage. Your brows turned down and lips pouted outwards when you didn’t get a response from him, a shallow ache spreading across your chest as he still remained silent.
Unbeknownst to you though, he was holding back the urge to both continue yelling at you and hold you close to him while praising you for apologizing to him so quickly. He mumbled a quiet, “hold this,” as he placed your fingers over the gauze, reaching beside him to grab the bandage to start wrapping it around your arm.
While doing so he glanced at you slightly, taking in the almost sad puppy dog look on your face that made his heart twinge in a way that made him sigh softly, accepting the fact that he can’t stay silent forever.
“Yawne,” you’ve never been more happier to hear his voice, subconsciously sitting up straighter to listen to what he has to say, “I know you’re sorry. And I forgive you, but I swear to ewya if you do one more thing that endangers you or your safety, I’ll chain you to the bed so you can never leave this hut again. Understand?” His tone was stern and clear, yet you still giggled at the imagery of him literally chasing you down to chain you down to the bed like a wild animal. “Yes, sir,” you say with a teasing smirk, one that made him giggle quietly as he cupped the side of your face lovingly. Planting a much needed kiss on your plush lips before making his last final touches on your wound.
“Thank you, teyam, I appreciate it.” You added once he stepped away from you to place everything back into the first-aid kit, he turned his head toward you and said a soft “of course, babygirl,” in response as he walked over to the makeshift shelf to place the small box onto.
You sway your feet anxiously as you notice the slight hints of irritation in his body; tail swaying high and slowly, and his shoulders were slightly raised. Your hands placed themselves back onto your thigh bracelet as you watched him reorganize a couple of fallen things on the table norm gave you a while back. Nerves swirl through you as you mentally prepare yourself to ask him a simple question.
“Teyam..”
“Srane, Ma’ yawntutsyìp?”
You inhale deeply before looking down at your hands that were fiddling with the beads of your braclet, exhaling as you finally say, “are you still mad at me?..” you hated how needy and sheepish your voice sounded, but that was the least of your concerns right now.
His brows furrowed at the question; in both sadness because of your tone and confusion, because how could he ever stay mad at his girl?. “Babygirl, come here.” He beckons, making you almost immediately walk over to him.
He lifts you up by your waist swiftly and places you onto the table infront of him, standing in between your legs and cupping your face with his big hands. “I could never stay mad at you. Not even for a day I couldn’t. Even if I was, you know it’d talk to you immediately about it, right?” He questions, to which you respond with a quiet ‘yes’
“and you know I’d never, ever let you feel like you can’t talk to me about anything, right?”
“Mhm..”
“Good. I don’t want my girl to worry about little things like that. You’re the best thing that’s ever happen to me, and I’d never treat you as if you weren’t. I may get mad at you for the reckless things you do, but that anger is all from my concern for you and your safety. Nothing could ever compare to how severely I love and care for you, yawntutsìp.”
You nod in response to his words as tears of joy and sadness spill down your soft cheeks, the reassuring words being exactly what you needed to calm your nerves.“I love you so much, ma’teyam. So so much.” You mutter through your sniffles as you wrap your dainty hands around his wrist to kiss the inside of his hands.
A small giggle comes from him at the gesture, leaning in to kiss your temple, whispering a sweet “I love you too, babygirl,” to you before kissing your lips gingerly.
You hum in satisfaction when you feel his lips on yours, the sound of it making him laugh against your lips causing you do the same before he broke the kiss to pull you into necessary hug. Instinctively making you cling to his bulky frame as if he’d disappear the second you let go.
Without breaking the hug, he picks you up and walks over to the bed, laying down as gently as he could without pulling you off of him.
Once you both get comfortable, content purrs leave you both. “You have to admit though, it was pretty badass right?” You question, a heavy sigh leaving his lips before he answers, letting out a defeated, “yeah..yeah it was, babygirl.”
You chuckled softly at his response, letting a snarky “yeah, I know it was,” to fall from your mouth before letting the wave of sleep finally hit you. The sounds of your beloved mates steady, sleepy breathes lulling you into a deeper sleep.

neteyam x human!reader

a/n: the domestic bliss got me so, here it is / let’s say you guys are the same age /spoilers??
masterlist
enjoy!
Tumblr media
being a human on pandora isn’t easy as you might think. breathing air? not possible without a mask. traveling around? quite difficult with human’s capability.
but those didn’t stop you from loving this planet any less.
you are one of those babies who didn’t got a chance to travel back to earth 10 years ago, and you are not complaining.
pandora is much quieter and more peaceful (well, not yet, and we are here for fluff)
spider is one of your friends, well your only friend, until you meet netayam and the sullys. spider taught you the na’vi language, until you are fluent to a certain level. you can catch many phrases, but, unfortunately, can not reply.
you first met neteyam when you were both still young. he was practicing hunting for fish and you were exploring around the forest
“ok, near the rock, just as dad told…,” a young blue na’vi mumbled to himself and stretched back his arm, holding his weapon. splash! a loud sound echoed from the water as the fish was caught dead by the sharp tip. “yes! dad! I did it! I caught a fish!”
“…dad?” he looked into the bush as he saw your (e/c) reflected by the sunlight.
he crawled closer to the bush as he saw you running away deep into the forest. without any delay, he followed your footsteps and scents. along the way, admiring your beautiful choice of path into the damp grassy area. there, he found you napping peacefully by a tree and woodsprites surrounded you. your hair contrasted the green grass perfectly, yet your exomask covers your face from his.
“…hey,” the boy nudged you slightly causing you to stirred awake.
“wh..who are you?” you gathered yourself quickly, hiding your face from him. “oh wait, do you even know what I am saying? um…sorry, Ohe can’t tukru na’vi (I can’t speak na’vi)”
“you are funny, because you are speaking it right now, i am neteyam, who are you?” he giggled “I haven’t seen you around before, let alone a human,” he turned your face towards him. he tapped playfully on your mask, examining it as he looked into it.
“i am um…(y/n), and I haven’t left the lab that much,” neteyam stared into your eyes. “you must be spider’s friend, he told me about his friends.”
“are you related to spider?! must be nice keeping you to himself,” he fake pouted. “i want to have more human friends, my brother have five fingers like you!”
“well, you can meet me again by the lab. I didn’t left it that much, because i don’t have friends, except spider, of course, but he likes to leave me alone in the forest,” you rolled your eyes and received a giggled from neteyam.
“i can be your friend! and i promise I’ll never leave you in the forest!” he grinned showing his whitey teeth.
it was easy to say that your life had never been the same ever since
your duty patrolling grace’s tank at the lab isn’t so boring as before, and you get to meet and know grace’s legacy, kiri
neteyam would visit the lab with kiri more often, making up excuses like he wants to make sure she is okay while visiting grace.
another reason he likes to see you in the lab, because he can touch your face without the difficulties of a mask. he likes to hold your hand and especially your pinkie.
you, neteyam, and kiri became greats friends. while sometimes you would visit them in the forest; you noticed neytiri wasn’t giving spider the warmest welcome, so you learned to keep a space from her
neteyam, the being the older brother he is, is always protective of you and his siblings. you two are often teased as the parents of the group.
neteyam will carry you wherever and whenever you want. even times when you insist you can walk on your own, but he will carry you through the jungle.
tuk is very attached to you, even though she is 2x bigger than you but she’s your baby sister.
kiri is your bestieee, and she definitely knows all the tea. you will always comfort her when she gets picked on for her hands.
“these pinkies are here for special reason, it is for pinkie promises. a special promise for special someone, and you are special to me, kiri,” she smiled back.
the middle brother, lo’ak, is quite reserved at first but you’ve managed to melt his wall away. your warmth that his brother couldn’t resist made him comforted every time he is around you.
he sees you as an older sister and you’ve managed to made him listen more than his own brother. you know how to cheer him up and comfort him wherever he felt that he is his brother’s shadow. you became soft mother figure to him.
jake, being somewhat of a human, took you under his wings. he sees you and neteyam often teasing each other, and that reminded him of himself. (neteyam: one down, one more to go)
he is always glad that there is someone helping him and his wife around the house. you were there to support his children emotionally and physically, sometimes.
well, years had passed and the ‘lovebirds’ had grown stronger ever than before.
everything was going smoothly, until two reasons.
one, the sky people are back again.
two, you have grown weaker than before.
your human body was great but you hoped that you could have an avatar of your own, and coincidentally, the lab had been creating one for you. (definitely neteyam did not asked for one and definitely he did not begged his grandma to help with consciousness transfer)
“we have to take your DNA, okay? my (y/n)…” neteyam ran his hand through your head and hair calming you down. “i don’t know ways to help you other than this, i don’t want to lose you, alright? you are my best friend.”
‘you are the love of my life!’ you thought. “yes, i know, neteyam, take my DNA even if it means i am dying soon.”
“no! you are not dying, the sky people are here, well, yes, they might be your species, but you are special to me, okay?” he sighed. “I will not lose my best friend, not to a problem we have a solution to.”
“i don’t know what are we fighting for! you know that i am about to die, why then worth trying something that can be passed on for spider or other human with more opportunities and possibilities than me!”
“please, dont make this harder, okay?”
“neteyam! neteyam! nete-“ and that was the last thing you saw, netayam holding you down and a scientist with an anesthesia.
“grandma, how is she taking it?” neteyam strolled hurriedly around your body.
“wait out, you hot-headed boy, she’s going through…”
“what- what is going on?”
“(y/n)! (y/n)!” the blue faced boy went ahead and hugged your body close.
“neteyam, glad to see you-“ “woah- you aren’t so big anymore, my- my feet! they’re huge! woah- i have a tail? look! woah- what- my ear is like a cat’s”
“woah- woah woah, take it easy, my (y/n), that’s what i went through for 15 years, you just had it for one minute and you’re going crazy!” he giggled. “see? it wasn’t so bad after all and what’s a cat?”
“silly of you, neteyam- but why the tree of souls?”
“got cha consciousness transferred, wouldn’t have it done the scientifac- scientific ways,” he tapped your forehead slightly. “i begged for grandma myself, glad she’s helping out, or we’re doomed.”
“thank you, neteyam.”
life didn’t get easier after that, but you were now together, at last.
the sullys welcomed you quickly and warmly. neytiri had some hard times but jake reminded her once again of their past.
-spoilers-
uncertain times calls for uncertain choices, the sullys decided to move to the metkayina for shelter.
neteyam and his siblings, along with you, flew across the ocean toward your temporary home.
the flight there was risky as you guys had to travel across the storms and oceans. neteyam held you tightly within his embrace the whole flight.
the first few weeks, he often cries whenever he is alone with you, saying you are his safe house.
“i- i want to go home, (y/n), i can’t do this anymore,” he sniffles on your lap.
“i am so sorry, nete, we are here now, i miss our home too, but this is for the best for the people,” you cradled him close.
“you- you shouldn’t say sorry, my (y/n), it’s not your fault,” he grabbed your hair tight as he cried.
“ow, nete, c’mon let’s go swim and calm down,” you swayed him like a baby and sang him songs.
at the ocean villages, the leader welcomed the sullys with not the warmest welcome but satisfying enough for the time. they must live and depend on it for now, that’s the least they could do.
kiri and you got called out for having five fingers which neteyam did not take it very well. he had been hostile towards anyone who made fun of your hands.
tsireya, ao’nung, and the rest welcomed them as well, although the boys could’ve been much friendlier in your thought.
tsireya and you kicked along pretty well, she’s beautiful, kind, caring, and hot. 😳 (sorry, not sorry)
of course, you gotta tease her with lo’ak, and how she told him ‘i see you’ before you and neteyam was a disgrace. you love her like a sister and adores her so bad.
likewise, she never misses a chance to tease you with neteyam.
“please, y/n, when? when are you going to do it!”
“not now, not never, does he even like me?” you pouted. “he calls me his best friend, i am obviously in the friend zone.”
“c’mon, please, that boy is head over heals for you,” she rolled her blue eyes. “when i taught you guys to swim, he is drooling over you underwater, almost choking himself unalive i supposed,” she giggled.
“maybe he is just amazed by the ocean, it is really pretty,” you sighed.
“girl- you are not taking hints.”
and boys are boys, they were fighting on the beach over kiri. kiri stood there laughing and her brothers getting themselves into the mess. while you walked out of the water sprinting towards neteyam and lo’ak, grabbing their ears and dragging them out.
“i apologize for my friends,” you laughed politely at ao’nung’s face.
“e- erm, i am sorry, too,” he was stunned by your face, dampened by the water, and your hair sticking to your body. ‘grrr’ neteyam scowling in the background behind your back to ao’nung.
“now if you please excuse us, i am so sorry, let me know if you want me to treat your wound as an apology,” you smiled and turned back to widened your eyes at neteyam and lo’ak.
“so- sorry” “sorry🖕”
“lo’ak!”
wound-tending sessions wasn’t as fun as watching them fight.
kiri took lo’ak and you took neteyam.
earning ‘ow’s and ‘ouch’s form neteyam you scolded him while patching him up.
“squeeze my leg if it hurts.”
he did tried not to but he ended up left some red marks on your legs.
during harsh and cold times, you still find your comfort in neteyam. you guys cuddle every night together before bed, and singing lullabies together, reminding each other of home.
neteyam likes to be the big spoon but you can be the big spoon, too, ever since your human form to your avatar form.
now for domestic stuffs in metkayinaa
you guys love to swim together in the ocean, and sometimes hiding the reefs (shh, they make a great place for a kiss on the cheek)
neteyam loves your hand, he will hold them wherever you go.
he loves finding pretty shells for you and clipping them onto your hair.
ao’nung having a crush on you, and tsireya told him off. because, obviously, she is your biggest shipper.
neytiri and jake knew there is no use separating you and neteyam, so one calls for a family meeting.
she noticed how her children received an emotional support whenever they need it from you. neytiri slowly accepted you into her family and realized that you had become more than a friend to their family, but a part of them. now, she sends a heartwarming smile for you. (neteyam, two down, it’s only you babe)
“thank you, (y/n), for taking care of my family,” she hugged you. “you are a part of us, never let them separate us apart.”
“I trust you, (y/n), i see a great potential in you, take care of my sons and daughters in this time of war,” jake touched his forehead against yours.
fond moments must come to an end; the thing they dreaded the most had arrived, the sky people
you guys fought until your very last breath, and every moments felt like it is your last
“go! y/n! go!” lo’ak and spider jumped into the middle pool of the boat, while neteyam took the gun.
“okay! love! on my count okay?” you shouted back.
“no! on my count- OKAY HE’S DOWN! 1…2-“ he was taken back by your push, and as of everything goes in slow motion. your body push his against the rails and made him fall into the pool.
the bullet made its way towards your chest, and everything flashes back. your mom, your dad, your lonely childhood, meeting him for the first time, meeting the sullys, growing up together, transferring your consciousness, traveling here, and fighting along side him.
you felt an impact within your body, and his eyes widened as you both fall into the water. he cradled your body in his as you both meet the impact of the water. slowly, your bodies submerged into the water and he pulled you out…and everything seems to black out.
“no no no no NO!” you heard neteyam screams.
“rip that cloth, RIGHT NOW!” jake shouted. “she is losing her consciousness!” you felt a burning sensation and a tightening sensation on your shoulder.
“is she alright DAD! SHE IS SHAKING! DO SOMETHING!” neteyam cries and clings onto your body.
“y/n…” tsireya hold your hand and her wet tears dropped on your arms.
“No! My child, my guardian protector!” Neytiri screamed in agony, as she lose her voice in the attempt.
“neteyam! take her to the village if you still want to have the love of your life,” he pushed her into his embrace. without a second thought, he calls his ilu and drove head straight to the village.
the boy waited impatiently in front of the village’s nurse. he traced back and forth and his breath hitched whenever the nurse made any noise. he prayed to the great mother that she will be fine. his meals were untouched and he didn’t bothered fighting along his brother’s side for once.
he loathed the demon ever than before, he prayed his mother would’ve finish him off the second time.
it has been three days and the family is back together. they’ve been healing together spiritually and physically, except one boy who refuses to join them, neteyam. he had been sitting in front of the nurse room for four days full, until he heard a sound.
“neteyam?”
“yes? is she alright?”
“go ahead and see her for yourself,” the nurse opened the curtain.
“(y/n)? are you awake?”
“ne- neteyam? are you hurt?”
“(y/n)! thank the great mother!” he hugged your body so tightly that you might rip apart. “i thought i had lost you!” he cling onto her lap. “promise me you’ll never take a bullet for me again! pinkie promise me!”
“i can’t make promises i can not keep, love…,” you smiled and knitted your ringer finger with his. “do you know what finger is this?”
“um…longer pinkie?”
“no,” you chuckled. “this is a ring finger, a ring is put in the right side for engagement and left for marriages.”
“then i will never have to lose you with our ring fingers attached,” he rest his forehead on yours.
“how could you lose me, when i see you,” you smiled and kissed his forehead.
“i see you too.”
today’s a great day to take care of yourself, 🤍

Headcanons if Avatar!Grace lived and raised Kiri alongside the Sullys and adopted Spider:
"Jake Sully, I know damn well that you didn't just ground your son for recklessness! 'You wanna hear about reckless? How about the time you taunted a baby hammerhead titanothere and its mother before being chased into the jungle by a Thanator like the asshat you are."
Spider is depressed because Neytiri has yet to warm up to him. Grace gathers him up like he's still a baby and since she's a Na'vi and he's a human, it's so easy to do: "Give her some time, kiddo. Neytiri has lost more than most to the Sky People. In the meantime, go find your sister. I think she's been wanting to show you her newest verse in her songcord."
"Neteyam, sometimes you gotta just ignore your father. He's a jarhead. No. I'm not telling you what that means."
Kiri when she's vocal about her insecurities and how she feels different from everyone else. Grace silently listens before saying: "You hear Eywa? Normally, I would call you crazy from a scientist's perspective... but after what Eywa has done for me... After she saved all that I am in this body while the human one died, and after she gave me you, I don't think it sounds as crazy anymore. You're a miracle, baby. My sweet little miracle. You and your brother are so special, and any moron who says otherwise must have a death wish."
Ever watch Once Upon a Time? Remember this scene between Regina and Emma? ⤵️
Quaritch: He's my son-!
Grace: HE'S NOT, HE'S MINE!
"Jake, Lo'ak came to me traumatized because he walked in on you and Neytiri."
Jake: It was an accident. But at the same time, he can't just walk in without announcing himself.
"No? Huh. That's funny. Hey, I think Norm should go talk to your son about the time you wheeled in on him and Trudy--"
Speaking of Norm, Grace has a hard time being able to fit herself in their portable biolab due to the size so Norm and Max build a large greenhouse and lab meant for Grace's new height difference. They can't change the fact that the microscopes are still too small for her hands, however.
"If my hands weren't capable of crushing the damn thing I would've done it myself instead of letting you idiots tamper the samples with your saliva AGAIN."
She still teaches all the village kids how to speak English among other human customs. A new school is built in the mountains and Tuk is her best student, obviously.
Grace vocally admits she prefers Jake in a wheelchair because he was easier to push around. To which Jake responds: "Woman, you know damn well you still push me around."
Here's some more angst: Kiri and Spider are arguing and I believe this scene comes from the live action Mowgli movie:
Kiri: You're my best friend, Spider. I understand what it's like for no one to want you. I don't have any friends neither. But we have each other and we're like the same--
Spider: We're not the same.
Kiri: We are. Because- you're special, and I'm special--
Spider: WE'RE NOT SPECIAL! Don't you get it?! We'll never be one of them! We're freaks! You're not special, Kiri! It's just something Mom tells you to make you feel better about yourself BECAUSE YOU CAME OUT WRONG!
(Side note: Wow. I just made myself cry.)
Grace would be beside herself. She's trying to comfort Kiri after the fight and trying to figure out what to do with Spider. She knows she should ground him, but at the same time, she knows where he's coming from and why he finally snapped. With Quaritch hunting them and likely trying to take Spider back, the boy is beyond stressed on top of still trying to fit in.
Lo'ak ended up being the one who got Kiri and Spider to make up after giving each other the silent treatment for a week. Lo'ak understood them better than Grace ever could.
Grace, with Rotxo, probably: If you break my daughter's heart, then I'll break your tail.
Jake is trying to get his whole family to behave alongside the Metkayina so that they could stay there and not get kicked out. He didn't realize he'll have to make GRACE AUGUSTINE behave on top of that.
Ronal and Grace have MAD respect for each other you can't convince me otherwise.
I NEED to see Avatar!Grace riding a skimwing with the brightest smile on her face that would be so amazing.
Tsireya buddies up to her immediately, sticking to her side like glue and asking a hundred questions, usually followed by "Can I take Kiri and Spider swimming?"
Ao'nung keeps a good several feet between himself and Grace. He's suspicious and she straightens him out with one glare, ESPECIALLY after he bullied her kids around for being freaks.
Grace even got Tonowari to laugh when she came dragging his son home by the ear for talking rudely to her.
Grace is like a second mom to Neytiri when they're so far away from home.
And finally:
"I'm too old for this bullshit."
Please reblog and add your own headcanons! I need more Grace

Star-crossed. Lo'ak x fem!human!reader
This was originally posted on my side blog @thankeywa. It's a brand new blog and tumblr thinks it's a bot so it's not giving it visibility. Please go give it some love, I want all my avatar!related stuff to be on there.
PART 2 HERE PART 3 HERE PART 4 HERE
Tumblr media
I know that literally nobody asked for this, but I've noticed a disturbing lack of Lo'ak fics out there, so I've decided to give my input. I've had a story in mind for a while now, and I needed to get it out there. It will be a reader insert to make it more accessible, but it's somewhat based around an original f!character, so I apologize for that in advance if it gets too specific.
WARNINGS: Lo'ak is 20 years old in this and so is the reader, I do not write about minor characters. There will be eventual mature themes in this so MINORS DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS WORK.
For everyone else, if you like my writing, please let me know if you want to be on the tag list for future installments and SEND ME REQUESTS (head canons, imagines, sfw/nsfw, ecc.) ! I love that shit.
words: around 1.200
summary: reader is a human left behind on pandora, she grew up with the remaining humans who'd been aloud to stay on the planet after the war and has been friends with the Sully clan her entire life. She and Lo'ak were best friends until he began to pull away from her in their teen years for seemingly no reason. This story is about them reconnecting on the day of her twentieth birthday, and dealing with the feelings they have for each other and the obstacles that come with them being from two different worlds.
TW for this chapter: angst, smoking (don't do it, ever), brief mentions of alcohol, brief mention of war and death, brief mention of child birth, reader can breathe on pandora.
Y/n looked at the 'birthday cake' made out of cookie rations that Norm and Max had made for her. No matter how many years would pass, her dads always knew how to get creative.
"I'm twenty years old, you guys don't have to keep throwing me a birthday party." She reprimanded them softly, though her heart was filled with joy. Y/n was so thankful to have people in her life who cared enough to make her day special every single year.
"Considering you spent most of your early existence tied to test tubes to stay alive, we're merely celebrating the scientific marvel your continued survival has been." Norm joked, raising a beer, and y/n shoved him, before blowing out the single candle that had been meticulously re-used each year. It was a wonder how there was any wax still left on it.
"What did the birthday girl wish for?" Max asked, reaching for a dried-up cookie and cringing slightly at the taste as he chewed on it slowly. "The whole point of a birthday wish is to keep it to myself... or it won't come true. Honestly, I question your two's knowledge of Earth's traditions." y/n shook her head, before taking a celebratory sip of alcohol.
Norm and Max left eventually, back to the main base. They were more than capable of piloting a helicopter those days, and y/n was all grown up. More than capable of living by herself. What once had been an avatar lab, smack dab in the middle of the forests of Pandora, had been converted into her home. Pandora's rapidly repopulating fauna had surprisingly left her residence alone, well... mostly. There were still some creatures who couldn't help but keep themselves away. And by creatures, she meant Spider. Y/n was also friends with actual people like Neteyam, Kiri, Tuk, and... Lo'ak. Truth be told, she didn't know whether or not she and Lo'ak were even friends anymore. They'd been thick as thieves for as long as she could remember, always getting him out of trouble and fixing him up after a scuffle with his siblings. But then, around her sixteenth birthday, he'd started pulling away, and y/n had never understood why. They'd had a big fight about it, bottom line, he hadn't wanted to be around her anymore and y/n had to accept it.
"Open up! It's fucking freezing out here!" Came Spider's loud voice followed by an incessant banging on the door that immediately pulled y/n out of her reverie. "Alright, alright..." she laughed a little as she went to let them all inside. The Sullys were always insisting on spending birthdays together, even though some of them were now getting too big to even fit inside her 'home'. Neteyam had to walk around with his back bent forward, and Kiri knocked over quite a few things before they made it to y/n's main living space, which was more or less Na've-proof. "Happy birthday!" Tuk hugged her and y/n struggled not to feel crushed by the embrace. Even the littlest Sully was now nearly as tall as her.
Y/n let them all inside, already giving them dirty looks at the sight of gifts. "I told you guys not to..."
She stayed on the doorstep a little longer, gazing out into the night, desperately hoping one last uninvited guest would turn up. She felt Neteyam's hand on her shoulder. "He's not coming. I tried to talk to him but he was being a skxawng as usual..." Y/n blushed, not really wanting Neteyam to know she was pining for his younger brother. "Oh, right! I was—just checking you were all here..." she closed the door and they both went back to join the others.
___
"Alright come on, your mom is going to kill me if you get back late and I don't have enough space in here for all of you. Spider would have to sleep outside." Y/n teased, trying to let Tuk understand it was time to go. "Hey!" Spider protested at her lighthearted jab, but knew it was time for them to get going. Nobody wanted to get on Neytiri's bad side. Y/n hugged them all goodbye and thanked them for the presents: Tuk had made her a lovely drawing, and the others had collectively made her a rather beautiful necklace, which she immediately wore. Y/n waited on her doorstep till she could no longer hear the sounds of her friends chatting, and then proceeded to do two incredibly dangerous things: she sat outside of the protection of her bunker, all alone in the cold Pandora night air, and lit up a cigarette.
She'd discovered a terrifyingly endless supply of cigarette cartoons back at the base almost a year prior, and as soon as she'd tried her first one, she'd gotten addicted. Y/n hadn't told Norm or Max, of course, as it would have broken their hearts, especially because of how fragile she was. Y/n's mother had gone into labor in the aftermath of the battle for Pandora between the Na'vi and the Sky people. The soldier had lost her life giving birth, but her baby had survived, taking her first breath in the inhospitable Pandora air. Norm was convinced Eywa herself had kept her alive, had given her the ability to take in the air that hadn't previously failed to kill any other human. Sure, it had come at the price of being particularly fragile her entire life. And how was y/n repaying that gift? By cutting her miraculous existence short more and more each day. Thankfully, it was a while since she'd been used as a test rat, or had check ups of any sort. As far as the Sullys were concerned... they were way better off not even knowing what she was doing to herself.
A sudden rustling in the trees instantly made y/n alert and she didn't waste any time getting back inside. She showered, and shamefully hid her smokes somewhere her dads or the Sullys wouldn't look. When she had nothing else left to do, y/n forced herself to crawl into bed, placing a hand over her necklace. Her wish to see Lo'ak hadn't come true in the end, and while not surprising, it still hurt like hell.
"A pack of viperwolves? Seriously, Lo'ak?" Y/n groaned in frustration as she cleared her table for her best friend to lie on.
"I thought I could take them." He hissed as she doused him with disinfectant. "Yeah, well, you know human medical treatment hurts like a bitch, so it's either my way, or you're going to have to fess up to your parents about what you did." Y/n tried to sound cold, but she'd always been too soft on him.
When they were younger, and Lo'ak still hadn't grown to be double her size, they would often fall asleep together in her bed. "You don't have to keep doing this shit to prove something, you know?" She whispered to him one night, turning over to look at him and gently touch his face. "Your parents love you. And so do Neteyam, Kiri, Tuk and Spider. Lo'ak, I— we— don't want to lose you."
Y/n was almost asleep when a loud 'thud' coming from outside woke her. Something was moving on her roof, or rather, someone... Y/n didn't show whether she was dreaming or not as she looked out the window and locked eyes with Lo'ak, because the second she did, he seemed to slide off the top of her bucker, falling down into the grass below with a loud groan.
He'd probably just woken up half of the animals on Pandora.

Warning: NSFW content (MDNI), almost caught, blowjob, switch!Neteyam, humilation kink, etc.
Pairing: Neteyam x F!Reader
Synopsis: You and Neteyam were a horny set. You would fuck anywhere even in front of Lo'ak.
You loved to experiment with Neteyam. You were a curious in and out of the bedroom. He loved to see you suffer under his hand. He was a busy man but when he was available, he pounded you as if he would never see you for the rest of your life.
His parents were going on a war party but his siblings and him stayed back. He knew Lo'ak who dragged Kiri and Tuk also with Spider Eywa knows where but of course, he took advantage of this situation. Now that he was free, he had you all to himself and no bothersome Lo'ak for now.
Neteyam pulled you into his room, forgetting to lock his door because Lo'ak was known to barge into his room without warning. You sat on Neteyam's lap as you kissed her neck and grinned on his hard on. Neteyam untied your top, kissing from your neck to your breasts. He laid you on your back, lowering his head to your wet cunt.
"So wet for me already, princess?", he stated. He licked his lips before devouring your sensitive cunt. He grabbed your thighs making you come closer to his face. He pushed his tongue inside of your soaking wet pussy. Slightly biting your clit and pushing his fingers inside of her is enough to make you go wild.
You grabbed his braids harshly. Your head was going lighter by the second. Your toes clenched as your tongue went even deeper as you pushed your hips into his face. You squirted all over his face. He rose up from your pussy with your juices all over his face. "Wanna taste?", he asked. You nodded as he pushed his fingers in your mouth. You could taste your juices, you didn't blame Neteyam for liking to eat you out every time you had sex. You licked his fingers like you were a hungry beast, sucking off her pointer finger last.
You were enjoying your time until Lo'ak barged in and Neteyam quickly pushed your head under the covers. Your head was right beside his hard cock. You smirked knowing the advantage you have. "Neteyam why didn't you come to the meeting? I had to sit in for you again!", Lo'ak said angrily.
" Well the truth was I feel-- nnmgh", Neteyam said but releasing a cock feeling your mouth wrap around his cock and stroke him up and down with your hand. He bit his lip to prevent his moans from escaping his mouth. You clearly had his brother in the room so don't you have no shame or you were trying to humiliate him from what happened yesterday?
"Huh, are you ok bro?", Lo'ak asked. "Mmh I'm-- fuck-- fine!", you knew what your mouth was capable of. His legs were shaking and your tongue teased the sides of her cock. "Are you sick or something?", Lo'ak asked. Your fangs gazed over his member causing him to whimper. " Yes!", he suddenly yelled frightening his younger brother. You kissed his inner thighs sucking on them harshly leaving a purple mark.
You licked your lips, he was twitching. You saw that he was cumming and covered the tip immediately. He flinched as his brother continued to ramble about his day. A moan was going to slip out so he immediately covered his mouth. You panted hardly. He attempted to push you off him or at least remove your mouth from the sides of his overatimulated member.
"Neteyam are you still you don't need me to call mom or something? You look red!", Neteyam shaked his head. Grinding his teeth, praying to Eywa, you would make him come already. Lo'ak shaked his head in confusion before leaving the room.
Neteyam remove the blanket looking at you still sucking the life out of his poor member. He came in your mouth, moaning in relief as it had been days since he got some relief. He watched as you swallowed everything leaving no drop wasted. You licked his cock clean. " Next time, you will know better than to finger in front of my parents, Teyam!"
"Thank you for the meal by the way!", you exclaimed, you were almost to leave until you were pulled back. "Hope your pussy is wet cuz I have no intention on being gentle with you!"

Your heart stops when the knife swings down.
A breath catches in your throat and you have to look away when you see the trail of blood dripping down Jake's chest. When the symbolic death of the Olo'eyktan steals one more father from you.
Your failure to reconcile with Jake in the days following Spider's capture did nothing to dull the rapid thrumming of your heart as you watch him stand, defeated as he hands over his role to Tarsem, whose capability had been determined by the council days previous. You weren't as sold on the idea. Tarsem was a peer of yours, not much older than yourself and a worthy warrior, but the selection left an unsettled feeling in your gut that you couldn’t quite place until the knife was primed to cut down the previous leader.
It wasn't him.
An invitation had been extended to you, to be a part of the council through Lo'ak, the only Sully man you had been willing to engage with. He had come to you with tears in his eyes, shortly after his brother's departure. Begged for forgiveness that you had no right to give. The guilt that itched at his skin was your burden to hold too, and you'd assured him so as he held you close.
Jake had given you the night to cool down, but the betrayal kindled so deeply inside of you that its flames could not be put out in the time you had left with him.
"Parultsyìp... Please, kid. Just talk to me." He looked broken as his pleading was only met with silence. You moved out of his reach every time he dared to move towards you, causing him pain. He had dubbed you a Daddy's girl in infancy because you had clung to your father, reserving your brightest smiles only for him. At some point, that extended to Jake. Since your father's death, you have only had Jake. It was his arms you would run to when you were scared, but they no longer guaranteed the safety and comfort they once did.
How easy it had been for him to leave Spider behind, who had been inseparable from his children from childhood, how quickly he had made the choice to abandon you to seek refuge for his family. He could not mend those wounds with the softness of his voice and a pair of outstretched arms. While part of you wished he hadn't given up so easily, that he’d been more firm in his insistence that he couldn't leave without making things right, you didn't relent. Not even when you hear his voice crack around the last words he leaves you with.
"I’m sorry we couldn’t fix this, kid... Nga yawne lu oer."
Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk had spent their last night with the Omatikaya in your Marui. The four of you all forced smiles and laughter that never quite reached your eyes. It was little Tuk that voiced the question that the rest of you had been avoiding discussing.
"Why can't you come with us?" Her teary, wide eyes had caused your own to well as you took her hands in yours, doing your best to keep your heart from finally shattering into its thousandth piece.
"Tuk-Tuk, you know I want to be with you." You ran a hand through her braids, thumb sweeping to catch a tear before it rolled down her cheek. "But, I have to stay with Ma Sa'nok… You'd be really sad if you had to be apart from your Sa'nu wouldn't you?" She nodded, accepting your answer as truth. She hadn't noticed how quiet Lo'ak and Kiri had become, stewing with the knowledge that the true reason you wouldn't be leaving with them as you hadn't been invited.
You had told yourself that you wouldn't go with them even if you were asked. Your mother was enough to keep you here. She should be enough.
It became irrelevant when the offer was never extended, it became clear that it was your last night when the siblings arrived with their sleeping mats that they pushed together with yours, Lo'ak and Kiri pressed into your side while you held Tuk tight against your chest.
You'd thought it was you that woke first the next morning. You hadn't moved, laying there for a while, not wanting the last moments you had with them to end so soon. Until you turned your head and were met with Lo'ak's eyes, barely restraining his emotions as he looked back at you. Neither of you needed to say anything, and you were sure you would not be capable of doing so without ruining your last moments. You had been with him since his birth, and you’d always thought that the two of you would see each other through to the end. This was not the end you had envisioned, but if it had to be the end of your story then you would not tarnish the memory with tears.
So you smile, and he smiles back. And neither of you mean it. He rests his forehead against yours and you let your eyes drift close, sighing into the silence and savouring the contact while it lasted. Kiri had woken soon after, notifying you to her alertness by nuzzling her face further into your neck.
Tuk, always the heavy sleeper, woke only when her mother entered the tent and you shook her awake, her little arms grasping onto you tightly as you stood to place her in her mother's waiting arms. Between soothing coos to her sniffling daughter, she reached a hand out to cup your face, running a thumb over your cheek.
"Oel ngati kameie, ma'ite."
You had taken your place dutifully by your mother, given no opportunity to seek solace in the crowd when she grasped your hand tightly in hers, and pulled you to the front of the crowd. A front row view to the decimation of your family and you can do little to comfort her through her soft cries when you’re doing everything you can to prevent yourself from cracking because it’s over. Your time with them is through and you’re painfully reminded that Sully’s stick together, and you were never truly one of them as Jake rises and leads his family through the mourning clan.
With your goodbyes already said, you slip your hand from your mothers and you turn to leave, to escape the crowd, to call for Anì and escape to somewhere you can allow the constriction in your chest to release itself into the storm of emotions you’d been holding back since last night. Fingertips, rough and calloused brush against your own before they move to wrap around your wrist, stalling your departure.
You know who it is without turning around, even without the curious eyes you see fall on you and the soft whispers of the clan. You know it in the way his skin warms your own, in the gentle squeeze that feels like a plea for you to turn around. It’s not something that you can bear, to look into his eyes and give him the goodbye you’d been avoiding, because unlike the rest of his family your time with Neteyam had not been what it could have been. If you look him in the eyes, you know you’ll get lost in the could’ve beens and the maybes of what your story could be if only it didn’t have to end here.
“Tìyawn.” You pull yourself from his grasp and the weight in your heart gets heavier when he doesn’t stop you as you walk away from him, hoping that this wasn’t it. That you would see him, that you would see all of them again and this war would not end your role in their story too soon.

Adopted Spider AU Idea
Okay so I had this idea for a avatar AU, where Spider is raised/adopted by the Sully’s from a young age and they don’t tell him Quaritch is his father. As far as he knows, his mom was a pilot on the Na’vi’s side and died during the battle. They didn’t really want to lie to him, but when Kiri gets to go see her birth mom, he wants to see his too, assuming she’s in a pod or something like Grace is. He’s already just so sad when they tell him he can’t visit his mom, because she’s not anywhere anymore, that they can’t bring themselves to break his heart and make him feel any more like the alien he is. So, they paint Paz as a brave warrior and keep it vague enough that they won’t get caught in any lies. And that was enough for (maybe five to eight year old) Spider. Besides, he loves his mama (Neytiri) and papa (Jake) and all of his siblings. Even before he was old enough to fit into a mask, they would visit him constantly and teach him about the woods and their home. When he was around seven or eight and old enough to go outside, he was instantly welcomed into his family’s home and never spent a night alone again.
(Also, in this, I’m aging Spider down to twelve, Neteyam is sixteen, Kiri and Lo’ak are fifteen, Tuk is eight. So, Spider’s the youngest Big Kid and his siblings are protective of him not only because he’s human and tiny, but because he’s also younger. I think to do this logically, it’d have to be a situation where Na’vi kids age faster than human kids, like maybe there ages start to even out/slow around puberty or something. Idk, haven’t super thought it out.)
Anyways, the rest of the movie stuff still happens. Except, it’s Kiri, Lo’ak, and Spider (Tuk is at home, silence bought with the promise of bringing her back fruit or something cool). When Lo’ak calls in about the Avatars, Neytiri flips, because she knows her children are all capable and strong and skilled, but those are her babies. And Spider— the boy who never remembers his spare mask and is always finding something death-defying to try? She thinks she’ll have the Na’vi equivalent of a heart attack.
So, they’re trying to head back home, get attacked and when Quaritch approaches Spider, Lo’ak and Kiri go crazy screaming at him to get away from their brother. And Lo’ak also recognizes Quaritch as the somehow reanimated murderer who was also Spider’s birth father. He’d overheard a conversation, years before, between his parents and Neteyam. His parents had explained it to the oldest and Lo’ak had accidentally found out as well. He ended up sneaking into the lab shack and finding a picture of the man (and his file). So, when Quaritch asks for Spider’s name, Lo’ak flips.
“Don’t tell him! Don’t say a word!” Lo’ak screeched from a few feet away.
The Avatar didn’t even glance his brother’s way. “I asked you a question, boy. What’s your name?”
Spider glanced at his siblings, heart racing. “Spider. . . Socorro.”
“His name is Spider Sully, he is my family!” Lo’ak hissed in English this time. “He is not yours!”
“Miles?” The man kneeled in front of him, looking at him strangely.
Miles. Miles. Miles. When was the last time he’d heard that name?
“Nobody calls me that.” It came out a near-whisper and he looked towards his brother. “Why does he know my name?”
“Don’t believe anything he says! He’s a ghost! A demon! He’s a liar!” Lo’ak screamed back, before one of the Avatars covered his mouth.
A little ways away, Kiri looked just as confused, still fighting against her captor as she tried to lean his way. Spider risked turning his gaze back to the man in front of him. He looked . . . weird. Emotional.
“I thought they’d send you back to Earth.”
“You can’t put babies in cryo.” He said as bravely as he could manage. “Why do you care, dipshit?”
The man’s brow furrowed as he settled a heavy hand on his shoulder. “Because, I’m your father.”
Spider reared back, breath catching loudly inside his mask. He looked over the large man’s arm, meeting his older brother’s wide-eyes.
“Lo’ak?”
“He lies!” The boy hissed, thrashing harder, two Avatars pinning him down this time.
“I’m telling the truth, Miles.”
“Don’t call me that.” It came out as a whisper. “My— my name is Spider.”
Quaritch gave him a curious look, letting him go and standing up once more. He turned away from the boy as another Avatar grabbed him, pressing two fingers to the communicator around his neck and calling out some code talk Spider didn’t have the capacity to process anymore.
He glanced down at the pack strapped to his loincloth, double-checking that the light hadn’t started blinking. Everything was working correctly, the seal had been done right when he’d left that morning. His parents always insisted on checking his mask when he put it back on after morning meal. His spare was strapped to his brother’s waist, Lo’ak learning long ago that Spider couldn’t be trusted to remember something so important. Spider had visited the shack the day before with the others to visit Grace and Max had replaced his mask and battery before they left. He should be fine.
But, it was kind of hard to breathe. And it was getting harder to focus. He sucked in a breath, looking over at his sister. She looked just as lost as him, yellow eyes locked onto him. She whispered to him, words reaching him from across the semi-circle.
“Be calm, little brother. Be calm.”
He forced himself to breathe in once more.
__
By the time Spider felt somewhat normal again, it’d been almost a half hour. Just . . . standing. Waiting. Spider wondered where their parents were. Spider and Lo’ak were five feet away from each other, but it felt like twenty. Both had guards on them, but they whispered as softly as they could while still being able to hear each other.
“Why does he know who I am? Is he really my . . . ” Spider asked, glancing towards the large Avatar called Quaritch.
“He’s not.” Lo’ak insisted. “You don’t have a father, like Kiri. We just have Dad. That demon is going to lie and try to trick you— he’s a monster, Spi. Don’t let him get inside your head. If he talks to you, don’t— “
A short whistle made Lo’ak stop speaking. All three of the Sully kids turned their heads South. Another call sounded. Mama.
Instead of Spider getting left behind, Quaritch flat-out yoinks Spider up onto his shoulder and hides him, cuffing him to a branch or him or something. And the chopper is arriving to pick them up, so he’s out of there first with Spider and—
Spider thrashed, mask fogging from tears and heavy breathing. He looked down, eyes meeting with his mom’s.
“Mama! Mama, please!” He screamed, trying to get away, to reach towards her.
He could see that she was crying too, climbing a tree like she could go high enough to grab him. He could see his dad, looking up at him, looking so angry. Angry at Spider? Angry that he was weak enough to get caught? Spider clawed at the monster— Quaritch, they’d called him. The man just tightened his grip. Spider didn’t care if he fell, didn’t care if he ended up tumbling towards the ground. His dad— his real dad would catch him. The year before, when Neteyam first got his Ikran, he’d taken Spider for a ride. Spider had fallen, goofing off in a way that a new rider couldn’t handle. He’d been caught by his dad before he could even have time to scream. Dad always caught Spider. Every time he fell from a tree or tripped over a root— dad was always there. Because, Spider was too weak. Spider was too human.
The whole thing ended up super long, so part two will be up later.

So, first of all, I love your blog. I literally love the way you deal with Yandere and Avatar!!!!-
Secondly, I don't know if it counts as a request or something, but I got to thinking a bit about Navi culture and all that.
I know that Jake and Neytiri had no problem adopting Kiri, as both adults had a special, deep connection and relationship with Grace, but I don't know how the Navi in general handle orphaning and adoption issues, as my native tribal references have an unreliable handle on orphaning (between various anthropologists they tend to contradict each other and circumstances can generate a different communal and individual response in each case).
So… going on to the Yandere and all that.
Do you think the Yandere Sully (any of them) or Yandere Navi in general (any of your choice) would react to their love interest's previous baby?
Kind of like their SO was already pregnant before they met them or they already have relatively grown children, like Tuk's age?
First of all, thank you <3 Secondly, I have tried to make this and I hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: this won’t be seen from the Na’vi culture pov since I too lazy to look it up, I’ll just imagine what I think of it.
Content: firstly, any yandere Na’vi and then we have yandere Jake, yandere Neytiri, yandere aged up! Neteyam, yandere! Aged up! Lo’ak and Yandere! Aged up! Kiri + bonus! Yandere! Tsu’tey
Warnings: breeding, s/o is a person capable of getting pregnant
Tumblr media
Headcanons of yandere Na’vi, Jake, Neytiri, Neteyam, Lo’ak, Kiri and Tsu’tey with an s/o who has a kid from another relationship.
First, any Na’vi
Probably not too fond of the idea. But will comply if it makes you happy.
Will never see that child as theirs and sometimes it is pretty clear even though they try to hide it.
If you are widowed, they’ll try to accept that the child will always be there. Might as well make one of his own.
If you are just separated from your previous mate, the Na’vi will send your child with your mate for long periods of time. As long as he can hold it. And in those periods of time will do whatever it takes to keep you so occupied you don’t remember you have a child. Also will try to get you pregnant, so by the time your child from other mate comes back, you won’t be able to take care of it.
Pretends to protect your child during hunts and stuff, but to be honest, they wouldn’t mind if something happened, you are not in love with anyone but them, why should another person’s spawn be there with you?
Probably baby traps you even though is pretty clear you aren’t leaving. But it is also that they are really proud on having you with a baby of their own.
If it happens, that you get pregnant, the Na’vi will have favoritism for their child, obviously.
Jake Sully
He is a manipulative yandere, as I said before. He might take many different approaches to this situation.
He could act like the father of the year and have you happy and unknowing as he treats the child with such love and care as it was one of his own. Even though, he is disgusted with the idea. That child is the living proof you your bond with other person. He will never be as overprotective as he is with one of his own, he will be tougher.
Another approach is acting all nice and sweet in front of you and then just covering the child’s basic needs. Kind of a Spider situation going on. He lets the kid be and in front of you is sweet but then he just treats the kid as the stray cat you feed once a week. Never treated wrongly but never actually part of the family. He would never mistreat the child in any physical or mental way, he might be a yandere but he ain’t no monster.
The last but not least approach, make you despise your child. This only works if you have separated from your previous mate. If you are widowed he wouldn’t do such a thing, specially since it was specified that the child is around Tuk’s age and that is pretty young.
If you separated from your previous mate, he would send the child away and then would poison your mind. Slowly but surely manipulating you into hating (or something close) your own spawn. Reminding you of the person you were previously with and painting it as a bad thing.
Also the type to give you a baby, like get you pregnant and stuff, so that your attention will go to the baby and him and not your other child. Even though you will try to keep up, he will do anything as to make your other child isolated.
Not very good in any approach if you ask me.
Neytiri
Not fond of the idea then, not fond of the idea now. Literally despises the kid from minute 0.
Might as well accept it if she knows you are going to stay longer if nothing happens.
Never and I mean never treats the child as one of her own, she accepts the fact that the kid is there and that’s it.
She might want for either of you to get pregnant to “bigger” the family. She is just telling a lie. She knows how much work a baby gives and that will give her time to go away from that demonic spawn of your last relationship.
If you are widowed, she might feel sad for the kid, but she still dislikes it, seeing how similar it is to you but so different at the same time.
If you separated from your previous mate (and they have been lucky enough not to be killed by Neytiri), the kid will ALWAYS end up on their place. Neytiri might even blackmail or threat your last partner just to make them stay with the child.
Neteyam
He is a sweetheart, even as a yandere. He will in fact treat the child as one of his own. He feels pity for the kid.
He knows how you are and he will act in consequence. If he treats the child just like one of his own, you will love him forever right?
Also, if you are widowed he will actually feel pity for the child.
If you have separated from your previous mate, he will always try to look better than them in your child’s eyes.
OBVIOUSLY, the type of step-dad who tries to make the child call him dad. Now he is with you, he is the dad. Even if the child is not his, it is yours and it makes him his.
Will have your child and you up in a pedestal and he will pamper, spoil and do anything for you guys.
Probably the type to develop yandere platonic feelings for the kid once they have been interacting. He sees the kid as a little portion of you so he must protect it.
Lo’ak
Ngl, he will try to breed you to make you forget about the other one.
Pretends to care for it, knowing it keeps you calm. But in reality, why would he care about the only reminder that you hadn’t been his first. That reminder that there is a piece of you mixed with someone else’s before he was able to breed you.
Pretty irresponsible with the kid, same with the Jake scenario.
Probably treats it as a stray cat that is there.
If he has a child of his own with you, he wont treat the equally.
Kiri
Just as Neteyam, will treat the kid as one of her own.
Probably a caring mother, posible Tsa’hìk.
Never mistreats the child in any way. She knows that it will be better for your relationship if you both are the child’s parental figures.
Teaches the kid things about Pandora.
As she is so close to Eywa, she knows the child isn’t hers biologically but it her mind, it is hers.
Tsu’tey
Only two ways around.
He will make you choose between the kid and him, but with the small twist that he is a yandere and that there isn’t actually a choice.
Or he will pretend to be a good father for your kid and will try to get you pregnant as soon as he can to breed one spawn of his own.
He needs constant reassurance and lets you know about it. That way he can guilt trip you into caring about him more.
Will always try to be better than your past mate, he will always find ways to outrun them. Talks bad about your past partner to the child. If he has to deal with this, the kid will workship him.

That handsome boy from the sky Pt 2 (Spider caugth with Neteyam AU)
Continuation of the prompt where Spider and Neteyam are both captives of the RDA, but escape to Awa’atlu and surprisingly, the blonde is found to be quite attractive by Metkayina standards. He keeps having an unspoken rizz thanks to his unique body-type as well as personality, and Sullies have to deal with more suitors 🙄
.
.
“Boy, I see you are eager to serve the clan, and I see potential, but before we can even think of starting the trials I need to see what you’re capable of.” Tonowari spoke, looking down at the determined blonde. “Think of this as a test. You’ll get three assignments and I’ll decide if you have a chance in the iknimaya according to your results.”
Spider nodded. “I’m ready, olo’eyktan!”
“Then let’s start with strength.” The chief took his spear and gave it to Socorro, who, unsurprisingly, held it with ease, and a crowd began gathering at the beach, consisting mostly of gushing teenagers. Spider blushed at being the center of attention but that only made him look cuter to them, as they now knew what it meant when a human’s face grew red.
“You see that lone tree in the distance? I want this spear as close as possible to it. You know how to throw it? The stance?”
“Yes” The kid nodded again, holding the weapon like he saw hunters in the reefs do a million times, his back muscles flexing. He heard some of the young Na’vi gasp and it only added to his embarrassment.
“I thought he was a forest boy! Why is he so stacked??” Some guy half-whispered.
“I told you dude! He’s just like us!” His friend responded.
“I heard he had to pull twice the weight as the rest of his clan to keep up! He’s so hardworking~”
“And so humble~”
“Hey!” The teens quietened when Tonowari turned to them. “Let him focus.” He reprimanded stoically, but Spider thought he could see him holding back an amused smirk.
Taking a deep breath and steadying himself, blondie finally threw the spear. It landed about half-way to the tree, which wasn’t the best result for a warrior, but above average for a Metkayina teenager. Olo’eyktan nodded in approval while the youngsters whistled towards Spider and threw compliments his way.
“That shortie’s something else!”
“Did you see his biceps??”
“I diiid! And did you see his eyes?? They shine like amber in the sun!”
“Ahem” Tonowari coughed, getting the boy’s attention. “The next test will be tomorrow, I’ll see how good you are at providing. Get yourself a crossbow, and meet me in the reef outskirts at sunrise.”
Nodding, Spider watched the chief leave and was about to turn to the Mektyaina who were calling him to hang out with them, when a hand grabbed his forearm and began dragging him away.
“You promised to help me weave nets!” Turns out it was Kiri, pouting as she separated her brother from the disappointed kids.
Socorro only smirked at her, freeing his arm and taking her hand. “Right, right, sorry” He chuckled, ruffling her hair.
As they approached the intricate web that was Awa’atlu, they heard a commotion among the usual chatter.
“Ow ow ow!” A girl whined, holding her ankle.
“It’s swollen, we need to get you to the Tsahik!” Another girl, apparently her friend, hooked her arm around her shoulders to help her stand, and Spider came to her side without thinking, taking the other arm. Kiri rolled her eyes; of course Spider’s first instinct would be to help, and she didn’t miss how that Metkayina teen’s ears shot up when she felt him pull her to her feet.
“Can you walk?” He asked.
“I…mayb-no, no I don’t think so…” She muttered, averting her gaze in shyness. At least she had the decency to feel bad about lying, thought Kiri, skeptical.
Spider seemed to believe her though, because he huffed, bracing. “Okay, hold on, I’ll take you there.” And then, in a swift motion, pulled her off the ground and into his arms, bridal style. Kiri stood shocked, scared for his spine until she recalled how Neteyam told her of the time a year ago when she was drowning, and it was Socorro who carried her out of the water. If his inhuman strength wasn’t a sign that Eywa saw him, and maybe even blessed him, then she didn’t know what was.
She and the other Metkayina (who barely fought back giggles at her friend) followed them to the infirmary, all while the injured girl sat frozen, staring at the ground as if Socorro would drop her if she stopped being a statue, her face flustered as she circled her arms around his shoulders. When they reached the marui, he put her down and took a couple steadying breaths, but overall looked fine after carrying the weight. As Ronal tended to her ankle, she softly thanked him, brushing a lock behind her ear.
“Um…by the way, Spider?”
“Yeah?”
“Are you um…free tomorrow—“
“No he’s not.” Quickly answered Kiri, dragging Spider away again, but she waved him goodbyes nonetheless.
***
“Oh Jake Sully of the—“
“No.”
“W-what? You don’t even know what I’m going to say!” The Metkayina teen frowned at being rejected so swiftly.
“I do and my answer’s no.” Jake repeated, skinning fish with a suspiciously sharp knife. “Spider is busy earning his keep. He can’t have partners this early.”
The kid’s ears dropped and he got up, leaving, when Spider and Kiri entered the marui. Spider met eyes with the teen and he batted his eyelashes at him. He smiled in response and it was more than enough for the Na’vi to whisper “score!” When he thought he was out of earshot, curls bouncing.
“Hey guys! Guess what!” Spider stood in the middle of their home, making his father and brother turn to him with concerned faces.
“…what?” Neteyam dared ask.
“I cleared the first of Tonowari’s tests! If I pass all three, they’ll allow me to participate iknimaya in the next season!”
The two men collectively sighed in relief.
“That’s great to hear bud” Jake smiled.
“And what did you expect me to say?” He asked, one eye-brow raised. He knew what Sullies were afraid of but found it frankly ridiculous. He’s the oldest, and was more than capable of handling a crowd of squealing teens. In the back of his head, a small part of him thought that Quaritch would be proud of him, but he dismissed it as soon as he thought it.
“Hey, don’t judge us bro!” Neteyam chuckled. “We want what’s best for you”
“Ugh this is sooo annoying!” Kiri whined, taking out the rope that would make the net. “Whatever he does, they’re all over him!”
“Maybe, but” Spider helped her lift the ropes. “I’m giving humans a good rep! It’ll help in case our friends at hell’s gate decide to relocate here to help with the war effort. Plus, since they now know that humans can be good, no one’s giving you trouble!”
“Not being outcasted is kinda weird, not gonna lie” Lo’ak said, helping Jake cut the meat. “But can’t say I’m complaining! And listen, you’re popular now! Have fun with it!”
“Absolutely not!” Jake budged in. “I’m not having my son turn into a player, or have his heart broken by some bastard.”
“What’s a "player"?”
“Irrelevant, I’m saying that he should be careful with who he trusts.”
“Jeez, I know!” Spider rolled his eyes, exasperated. “I’m not five, I’ll make the right choice!”
But who will it be? Only time can tell, and Sullies dreaded the day Spider would begin considering his options.
.
You got any thoughts? Send me in my ask box!

What if after saving Quaritch and swimming back to be with the Sullys spider hears something, Lo'ak in his anger and grief cries that he wishes they hadn't gone back for spider Amd that he wished it were him and that he should've listened not knowing spider was behind him. Lo'ak sees the look on spiders face when he turns around, and the next thing anyone hears are gunshots from above. Quaritch now having nothing to lose after being rejected by his son is making his last move to take out Jake and Neytiri at all costs. Spider is caught in the crossfire, and his best friends last words were that he shouldn't have saved him and that he wished it were him.
Tumblr media
Working my way through some very old requests here, and decided to write a tiny little angst-filled drabble. There's no plot to this at all and I'm not very happy with it but it's written so I may as well share! TW: death, suicidal thoughts
🌊💙🌊💙🌊💙🌊💙🌊💙🌊💙
One stroke after the other. In a daze, Spider made his broken and battered way back to the outcrop where the Sullys were gathered with… He couldn’t think it. If he thought it, he’d lose the strength to keep swimming. Just focus. One stroke after another.
Almost there.
Keep going.
Don’t think about anything.
When his fingertips brushed the rocks at last, it took every last inch of his strength to not collapse and let the swell carry him higher onto the tiny island. Instead, he heaved through his mask and clambered up the jagged, slippery surface to be with his family. He barely winced when the rocks cut his feet, or when he slipped and almost smashed his mask open. When he was high enough to escape the waves, he finally allowed himself to sit and catch his breath.
He’d done it. He was free. He’d ripped himself free of Quaritch’s stranglehold on his heart.
But at what cost?
Behind him he could hear faint crying and he had to steel himself to turn around and face what had happened. Neteyam.
Neteyam was dead.
As if he was a passenger in his own body, he pushed himself up and staggered over to the grieving family. Kiri was the first to notice him. “Monkey boy!” she smiled through her tears, reaching for his heart. He almost fell into her touch, allowing her to hold him together, if only for a few seconds.
“Kid, you alright?” Jake bent down to his level. Spider tore himself away from Kiri to allow the man to pull him close. It wasn’t a hug, not really. Jake was strong and solid, and Spider had missed him. He’d missed him so much.
To the side, Neteyam was lying lifeless on the ground, Neytiri crying at his side and Tuk holding his hand. The sight almost broke Spider’s heart all over again.
There was Lo’ak, on Neteyam’s other side with his back to Spider. Spider desperately wanted to go over and comfort his brother, but the moment seemed too private to interrupt.
“It should have been me…” Lo’ak sobbed, so quietly that Spider barely heard him.
No, that’s not true. Spider’s chest felt like it couldn’t cope. It should have been me.
“We never should have gone back…” Neither Neytiri nor Tuk were capable of comforting Lo’ak, as both were struggling to contain their own tears. Neytiri just looked broken.
“We should have left Spider…”
Coldness clouded Spider’s insides.
For a moment, he didn’t know what to do with himself. Because it was true. Lo’ak and Neteyam never should have come back for him. If they hadn’t, everyone would have been alive right now.
It was Spider’s fault Neteyam was dead.
Dread circled his heart, replacing the pain of his sorrow. He didn’t know which he preferred. The dread told him he didn’t deserve to be alive anymore. It told him he couldn’t carry on with the guilt of what he’d done. It told him this was never going to get better. That Neteyam’s death would haunt him for the rest of his life.
He couldn’t live with that.
Kiri had moved over to put her arm around Lo’ak’s shoulders, making Lo’ak jump and spin around. When his eyes met Spider’s, they simply filled with tears.
Spider opened his mouth to say something - but there was nothing to say. There was just acceptance of what was.
Then - from behind him - came a terrible cry. He recognised the sound of that voice instantly. Cold fear pierced through his reality as he spun around. Above them and getting closer was the terrible sight of a rage-fuelled Miles Quaritch, snarling even as he raised his rifle, training it on the family. Spider knew what was going to happen before it did. Before his mind had caught up to his body, he’d flung himself in front of Jake, knowing that he wouldn’t be able to push the Na’vi down given the strength difference. Quaritch’s roar of fury and spatter of ammunition against the rocks were the last things he heard before the hot cartridge pierced his side.
No noise escaped him as he fell to the ground.
Oh, the pain.
He didn’t look down. He didn’t need to. Blood was on his mask somehow, and Kiri emerged in his line of sight, screaming down at him from above.
“SPIDER! Spider, can you hear me? You’re okay, Monkey Boy, you’re okay…”
The sound of her voice numbed the agonising pain in his abdomen. Suddenly, the gunshot wound was numb.
Thank Eywa.
He couldn’t feel any pain.
“Kid? Oh no… Spider!” That was Jake’s voice. Spider wanted to see him, but he didn’t want to unfocus on Kiri. Her eyes were round with panic and strands of her long hair framed her mask of horror. Spider’s heart sank a little that she was going to be heartbroken over this. He didn’t deserve her sympathy, not after what happened with Neteyam, but she would cry for him anyway. And that’s why he loved her.
“Kiri-” he gurgled. He wasn’t sure what was blocking his throat, but something unpleasant was bubbling at the back of his mouth.
She was going to be shot, she had to move…
“Shh, it’s okay, you’re okay…”
Other faces joined his field of vision now, though they were blurry and dark spots were starting to appear in front of his eyes.
“Spider… I’m so sorry bro, I didn’t mean that, please Spider, hold on…”
“Ngh…” was all he could manage.
At least no one was getting shot. Maybe Neytiri had brought Quaritch down. Maybe they were safe now.
Someone had grabbed his hand, but it was getting harder for him to breathe.
“M’... s’rry,” he gasped out, using all of his remaining strength to form the two words. Doing anything at all was becoming impossible. He didn’t have any strength left to move, to speak, to even breathe. He stared up at Kiri, wanting her to be the last thing he ever saw.
💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙🖤
“SPIDER! Spider!” Oh no… no, no, no. Not another brother. “Please Great Mother, please, please,” she moaned through her tears, clutching Spider’s shoulders like a lifeline. “Spider, please, you’re okay, you’re okay…”
She tried to place her hand over the wound in Spider’s side, but it was hopeless. There was too much blood. She cried out, trying instead to make him talk to her. “Spider! Spider, can you hear me?” He gazed up at her from behind his mask, but his eyes were clouded over.
“Kiri…” he gurgled.
“I’m here!” She almost screamed, her tears coming in wracking sobs now. She didn’t care what was happening around her. She didn’t care if Quaritch was coming back to take her down as well. Spider was bleeding out. He was dying.
“M’... s’rry,” he breathed, and Kiri’s heart shattered into atoms. There was nothing left in her chest.
“SPIDER?” She screamed, shaking his shoulders now, but his eyes had stilled. The light had faded. “Spider?”
…It had happened.
Her hands were covered in his blood, and her soul was covered with his imprint. This boy… this monkey boy who had weaved his way into her life so humbly… was simply gone.
“Spider…” she whispered.
Saying his name kept him here.
“Spider…”
Cold hands gripped her shoulders from behind.
“He’s gone,” her dad’s voice broke. “He’s gone…”
She just stared at Spider.
She couldn’t look away. He’d been alive and well only moments ago. Now he was… dead?
It couldn’t be. The Great Mother wouldn’t do this to her. She wouldn’t steal her soulmate.
Finally, she looked up, shellshocked.
Neytiri was kneeling at Neteyam’s side still, her bow in her hand. Her face was expressionless. Kiri followed Tsireya’s tear streaked gaze out to sea, where the floating body of Quaritch lay face down in the water, an arrow sticking out of his back.
“I killed him…” Jake muttered from behind Kiri. “I killed Quaritch on the ship…”
He wasn’t making sense, so Kiri tuned him out. The world had stopped spinning.
Neteyam was dead. Spider was dead. Two brothers… just… gone.
She would never speak to them again.
Why had Eywa done this?

Spreading the Rotxo x Spider agenda
Listen they're buddies
Rotxo has no clue what the hell he's supposed to do with this little demon when he shows up after Three Brothers Rock but he keeps showing up and he's actually kind of cool
He's like Lo'ak but slightly calmer?? He'll dive headfirst off the cliffs but he'll also sunbathe for 3 hours and that's the energy he needs
At first, their relationship is sorta tense; Lo'ak gave them a run for their money the first time they tried the mean girl routine but a few still try to pick on Spider
Seeing his siblings band around him and he himself attempt to bite and claw his way out of it is sort of his introduction to the group
(aka that's when he realizes they're cool, Kiri dragged Spider with them about a half hour after they got settled)
Meanwhile Spider lowkey thinks Rotxo is a little bitch tbh, it takes until Rotxo punches a guy for him to separate him from Ao'nung at all
Once they start actually talking its game over
Rotxo falls first but Spider falls harder
Spider grew up with absolutely 0 belief that anyone would ever be romantically interested in him and so he never really paid that stuff any mind
So when Rotxo tentatively offers him a courting gift, he has literally no clue why everyone is freaking out cause they're just bros???
But Kiri insists on braiding the little beads into the front of his hair and Rotxo damn near goes down when he sees his gift accepted
Listen he acts all big and tough but he's a big damn softie
Homie is a marshmallow
His next gift was a pair of woven gloves that honestly are absolute crap cause Na'vi don't normally need them but Jake may have quietly dropped that it could help Spider with riding
because yes, Jake is in on it and dammit he needs to make up for the lost Dad time
Spider thinks they're the shit and starts trying to make more pairs. At first, Rotxo thinks his weren't good enough until an even shittier pair ends up on his Marui in the morning
Kiri eventually sits Spider down to be like ",,, you know how na'vi courting is...right??"
But he thinks she is trying to get him to notice his feelings for Rotxo (which she is) and court him (she groaned so loud the birds flew away)
So they both start attempting to court the other, not realizing that the other already is
It isn't until Tsireya sits them down 3 months in and sounds it out for them that they realize anything
At that point though they just settle into a courtship filled with competition
Cause now someone needs to win
Gifts, lessons, help, etc fly between them to everyone's amusement and frustration
Eventually, Rotxo gets a little too confident and gets him a blend of herbs from Ronal that is not human safe and that's when they finally have to call it quits (Spider is adamant that almost killing your boyfriend means he won)
Rotxo is the second person that Spider tells what happened to him in his captivity
(Kiri was the first, they spent hours one night lamenting everything that happened with their feet in the water)
Unlike Kiri, Rotxo had no idea what the sky people are capable of
It's he who finally gets Spider to tell the Sullys, Tonowari, and Norm what happened
Rotxo trains him with Neteyam to get Spider's strength back up, trying to help him regain his abilities from before and feel capable again
Spider never really got real lessons on much of anything, it was all that Neteyam and Lo'ak taught him after Jakes lessons or the few times he snuck with them on a hunt
So his fighting style is a weird mix of instinct, forest techniques, and the military skills he picked up in Bridgehead
Rotxo thinks its hot lowkey but Ao'nung and Tonowari decide he needs real training
(Especially if he's gonna be a part of their clan someday)
Thoughts??? I have many

What would a mix between Mama! Neitiri and Eywa bless Spider look like?
neytiri having high blood pressure, stress lines, and grey hairs lol. she loves her little blessed boy so much, but he terrifies her on a near daily basis.
she lets him out of her sight for five seconds, she finds him tussling with viperwolf pups, their mother sitting 5 feet away looking nearly as exasperated as her. despite that, she doesn't move a claw to stop the boy, instead she turns to neytiri, lets out a great sigh, and lays her head down for a nap. they're your problem now. (she frequently babysits for the pack, at first, she sat there like she had a gun to her head, sweating her as off, but now it just looks like she's sitting with a pack of puppies, she'd never admit how much she likes this little alliance)
she takes spider out deeper in the forest so she can teach him new lessons in scavenging, the boy decides to chase slinths along the high branches of trees. she lets him play unattended while she joins her mother for her own lessons, she comes back to find him napping amongst titanothere, the older cows watching over him and the calves, the bulls standing guard over him just as much they do their own young.
she almost (had eywa not sent her ato'kirini) drew the line when spider befriended a thanator, an older juvenile. spider had found it after it had one hell of a tussle with something (spider would know it was old RDA scrap that nearly claimed its life, but he doesn't want to hurt the things dignity, so he says the other, much bigger, thanator looked worse) and he nursed it back to health. spider rides it around the village, races it through the tree tops, tussles with it in the grasses, leanrs to hunt like a thanator. all she can do is watch, and eventually, with time, she's able to join the pair in close quarters. its one thing when you ride when in war, its another to watch your child, especially when you know what its capable of.
she feels the protective gaze of all of eywas creatures on him, but she still feels her heart skip a beat every time he does something that would get any other na'vi child, let alone a human child, killed in half a heartbeat. she knows she should trust eywa, but a mother worries, a lot, too much, its what they're made for.
but, she sees the smile on his face as he is embraced by all of Eywa, how he can live a life free from worry, always at play. she also knows that spider sees more then anyone, more then her, her mother, even kiri, maybe even more then all 3 of them combined. spider sees and knows more than she can even attempt to comprehend, that he is one with the creatures, he understands them, sometimes she believes he can talk to them. she knows he would live a safer life being taught by them, than any other teacher.
so everyday, whether she likes it or not, she lets him wonder off into the world, watches as he bonds with creature after creature, giving them names, telling her stories that could easily sit side by side with those of the first songs, despite her never hearing of them. she watches him aid all of Eywa's creatures, claiming a queue-less ikran (she nearly died when she saw him riding the thing, her heart was simultaneously lodged in her throat and coming out her ass, and she's pretty sure it was Eywa's will alone that kept her alive... don't get her started on Zize she did, in fact, meet Eywa after that one), passing his iknimaya in the process.
she is filled with great pride, her child is one of a kind, blessed by eywa, one with pandora despite his human body. but she worries, just as greatly, what that means for his safety going forward; why would Eywa bless him if he had no further purpose? She was all about balance except when something had to be done. so why did She create spider as She had, what did it mean? what was she expected to let her son do, when was she expected to let it happen? was she expected to let him lead a war? when? when he was 10? 15? 20? 100 for all she cared? fighting in a war is one thing, leading is another, and something in her gut worried that would be the case, and she worried for her most fragile child.
so she spends her years, no matter how stressful, enjoying the time she has with her son, with the creatures he brings to her doorstep (quite literally, he's foster viperwolf pups, and insists that his thanator is house trained), not allowing herself to question his fate, not yet, she trusts Eywa, but she also trusts Her to know, she won't let her baby be taken from her without a fight, and she doubts any of his forest friends will either.

(regarding the snippet)
Quaritch when stroking Spider's hair after he had a panic attack when he touched it doesn't help: 😦
My blood pressure went up reading this (I can't wait even more now, thanks)
I take that as a complement 😈
Here, to calm your blood pressure take a fluffy snippet of Spider getting his braids done by Neytiri Mo'at and Kiri (before y'a know Quaritch destroys them)
******************************************************************
“Spider,” Neytiri called, “would you like to have your hair braided.”
Some of his typical anxiousness creeped its way in at the prospect but it was nowhere near as intense as it had been that morning. “Sure.”
“Sit,” Neytiri waved to the spot by her feet. Spider sat, his back supported by the couch. On either side of Neytiri were Mo’at and Kiri, ready to help. “What would you like?”
   Spider shrugged, “surprise me.”
“Can I go get my beads mama,” Tuk asked excitedly.
“I already have some,” Mo’at said, taking a pouch from her pocket. “I’ve had these made for  some time now.” Spider felt his heart swell, “you are quite the stubborn boy,” She leaned down to meet his eye with a wry smile. Spider couldn’t help but smile back.
Neytiri’s fingers racked through his hair. He couldn’t help his nerves from crying out, making him tense. But as Neytiri continued he focused on the sensation, focused on how nice it felt as Mo’at and Kiri joined in. Seze trotted towards him, jumping onto his lap and stretching up to touch her nose to his. He giggled at the cat, petting her as she settled, curling into a ball, purring contentedly.
“One of us, one of us…” Lo’ak chanted as he watched the style take shape.
Spider huffed a laugh, “what, am I getting the Sully brother special.”
Kiri scoffed, “we’d never let you look that bad.”
“Hey,” the brothers, Neytiri and Mo’at all exclaimed. The others all laughed.
Spider settled into the moment all worries fading away to nothing. He felt light- more free and content then he could ever remember. Surrounded by a lively happy family. Openly talking and laughing. He couldn’t believe he had really gotten to this point. Never had he allowed himself to even hope for something like this and yet it had happened as easily as puzzle pieces falling into place.
“We are done,” Mo’at announced. Spider patted his head to feel the style before seeing it. The top half of his hair was pulled back by a series of braids, the other half left down with little braids here and there, the ends decorated with the multi-colored beads Mo’at had carved for him. He got up to go look at himself in the hallway mirror again. Spider took in his image stunned. When he was little he had always imagined himself as a mighty warrior like the ones from the stories Norm would tell him. He looked like that mighty warrior now, strong, confident, capable.
One of us, one of us. Lo’ak had been joking but his words rang true. Spider looked like he belonged. A large grin stretched across his face, a relieved little laugh escaping his lips. He belonged. He really finally belonged.
******************************************************************
Anyway I really hope you all enjoy the second prologue knowing what comes after it 😘

Jake Sully wasn't the best father. He could acknowledge his flaws and shortcomings just fine.
He saw his flaws in his sons too much. He was a damn skxawng who could forget that his sons were not soldiers, that they were their own person. He remembered the day he first held them, both of them, and wept with sheer joy and awe. They were small bundles of joy, innocent, who deserved more than he could give.
But he tried to reel himself back. Tried to not let worry consume him. Tried letting them have fun with their friends, adventure, all that teen stuff. Netayam, Lo'ak, Kiri, and even Tuk'tirey had their own issues. Granted, very few of them couldn't be solved by sitting down and having a heart to heart. He pats their heads and nuzzles them when they pile into a cuddling, tangled mess of limbs every night. He whispers soft praise, pressing possessive kisses to the tops of their heads.
There was one child always missing though.
Now in all fairness, Spider wasn't his. He was like a stray who his kids loved to play with. But he was just a kid, who didn't really have anyone. His hair was matted and smelt of rotting leaves and dirt, and he seemed to scurry on the edge of his vision. He knew the kid tended to avoid Neytiri like the plague, and for good reason. Neytiri would never go out of her way to cause harm, never to a child, but she'd never cared for him. She'd always been blaise about Spider getting hurt, leaving most of the medical work to the Scientists.
He also knew that Spider didn't have parents among the Scientists. The boy had people who taught him how to read and write, about flora and fauna, but no one who tucked him into bed every night. No one who sang him lullabies or cradled him when he had nightmares. No one who kissed his brow or made sure he was in bed every night.
And Jake was worse than a skxang. How could he think a literal child was capable of taking care of themselves on a planet that's actively trying to kill him? Where the people do not accept him?
Those were the thoughts running through his head when he read through a disturbingly detailed suicide plan, messily jotted down with sidenotes and bulletpoints in a journal hidden beneath Spiders bed. It wasn't even hidden that well, simply stuffed between some of the books he'd been given over the years. He'd expected entries about how beautiful the sky looked, or what kind of animal he'd seen that day, maybe even whatever mischief he got up to with Lo'ak and Kiri.
The sheer amount of planning made him sick. He'd written down every detail, down to the punctuation in the letters he'd leave them, and who would probably find his body.
There was something tightening in his chest. It was constricting his breathing.
His ears twitched when he heard footsteps approaching the room. He straightened himself, turning his head sharply towards the door. It opened to reveal Spider, whose face was one of shock and shame when he saw what he was holding. "What's this, buddy?" He asked. He tried to be gentle, but he couldn't help the tinge of hysteria that tainted his voice. Spider opened his mouth, then shut it tightly.
"What is this?" He asked again, stepping a bit towards the other. The boy seemed to step back. He held up the book towards Spider's face, his golden eyes trained on the smaller one. "What. Is. This?"
Spider looked at the ground. His skin was flushed, and his hands shook at his side. He swallowed hard. "It--it's nothing…" he offered, not knowing what answer could appease the Na'vi. That was, apparently, one the worst answers he could give. The man held his head in his hands, hunching over. He covered his face as he took careful breaths, knowing that now is not the time to get angry.
Spider had been taught the ways of Eywa. He couldn't feel her, not at all, but he'd been taught everything about her. Learned her songs, her dances, her everything. He knew how precious his life was to her, to him. All life was sacred on Pandora, from the animals they eat to the warriors that die in battle. And Spider planned on just taking his with a few pills? Had considered and mulled and went back and forth on the idea, and decided to go through with it? Had fully known he'd be leaving his friends behind with nothing but a letter explaining everything? That they would have to bury him?
"Nothing? Nothing?" He asked incredulously. He breathed in sharply. "Where are they? Where are the pills?" He demanded, and Spider seemed to snap out of whatever trance he was in before. He narrowed his eyes, which were glassy and tinged red, and crossed his arms across his chest. "Why do you care?" He asked, and Jake felt like he just punched him in the gut.
"Why do I care? What the hell do you mean, why do I care?" He couldn't help but raise his voice at the end. "Spider, I'm not gonna let you kill yourself." His voice was hard, like steel. "You're not sleeping in this room anymore. Not until I find the pills, or anything else you were planning on using." He tells him, with a voice that leaves no room for arguments. Still, Spider's reaction is indignant. "I'm keeping you on watch–", Spider sobbed, "--and you are always going to be with me or Norm." He gritted his teeth.
"That's not fair!" He cried, "I'm not a little kid, you can't do this!" The boy takes in shaky breaths, hiccuping as tears fall down his face. "You didn't care before, so why now?! Nothing's changed! You'd all be happier if I was dead!" And Jake's heart cracks, "I know Neytiri hates me! I know Kiri and Lo'ak only talk to me because the other kids don't like them! I know the Omaticaya wish I was dead! I know Eywha won't accept me! So why don't you just let me kill myself!" And then breaks.
The boy was crying now. Tears streamed endlessly down his face, and hiccups wracked his small frame. "That's not–, Spider, they don't–, Neytiri doesn't–," and he doesn't know what to say except that's not true. But he doesn't know what he can say or do to make Spider believe him. Part of him wants to grab Spider and strap him to his chest forever, so he'd never have the chance to hurt himself. Another part of him is so angry at himself. He'd seen the signs, should've recognized them, should've done something about them. But he didn't. And now this 16 year old wants to commit suicide.
"Spider, I see you. Kiri, Lo'ak, Netayam, Tuk, Neytiri, they see you. We're here for you. But you can't do this. Please, Spider." He begged. "Please, son. Tell me why you want to do this."
He's holding the boy tightly now. His head is pushed into the crook of neck, and he can feel the boy's body shake with how he cried. "They wanna send me to earth!" He admits, and Jake's broken heart freezes. "I don't wanna go there! I don't wanna leave you and Eywha, I don't wanna go where there's no ocean or forests! I don't wanna go to a dying planet!" He wails, and it pounds Jake's cold, broken heart into a fine powder.
"I won't let them. I'll never let them send you anywhere, okay?" He presses a kiss to his forehead, and Spider sniffles. "Promise?"
"Promise."
He held Spider until the boy fell asleep. His back is stained with tears, and his arms ache from how long he's been holding him, but he doesn't move. The boy needs his sleep, and he needs to figure out how he'll deal with those scientists.
Tw suicide plan, never going there
Thanks to @hyperfixatedfandomer for letting me use this prompt!! Dw i have more fics planned that hurt less!! Remember to take care of yourselves
Also Jake calling Spider son might seem manipulative, and I cant confirm that it isnt. But jake was too emotional to actively try to manipulate anyone
Also i wanted to add "Be mine! Be Kiri's! Be anyone's! But please, don't be dead!" But it didnt really fit in this fic and also it sounds a little romantic?? Which is ok because one of the fics involve romance

I just saw your post about BAMF Spider and like.,.,., BRO!!!! It’s so good!!! Do you have any idea what everyone’s reaction would be?? Or his time in captivity now (going with the scenario he does get captured)??? Is Quaritch going to be proud of BAMF son??? I’m sorry I need to know more
Thanks for the feedback! I was just thinking about adding to this, so this came at the perfect time. I think everyone’s reaction oscillate between outrage about how stupid Spider was by doing this and how how shocked that he was even capable of doing this.
Jake doesn’t not know how to respond, apart from in a very concerned (yet angry) fatherly way. He absolutely doesn’t understand why Spider needs to do this & as Jake is from earth, naturally, the very idea of anyone becoming a child soldier is abhorrent. With all the emotions, Spider’s logic as to why he’s doing this (“This is my home, If I have an opportunity to defend it I will fight every time”) doesn’t get through to him and he ends up dismissing Spider’s beliefs and wants because “he’s just a kid”. Spider eventually gets fed up with this behaviour and decides that since Jake doesn’t want to treat him like he isn’t a perfectly capable combatant, He won’t treat Jake like he’s a General.
SIDE NOTE: Can we all take a moment to realise that Jake had no business leading a long-term campaign against an invading force much stronger than anything Pandora has faced. At best, he should be an advisor or strategist. This man won one fight with the RDA, and that’s only because a Literal God decided to step in. There is a reason he is a corporal - he doesn’t have mindset or skills required to lead a large army against an enemy like the RDA, over the course of what likely will a decade or more. So far, we have seen no attempts to gain intelligence from Bridgehead, develop new and improve existing techniques for eliminating RDA forces (i.e. new weapons & tactics) or even any development in utilising Electronic warfare against the enemy. Rant over.
Neytiri. Is a complicated story. Yes, she is outraged by Spider’s decision for the same reasons as Jake. However, She rationalises by the ‘demon blood’ argument, that this is how Spider will destroy the People by becoming like his father. She denies being at fault for pushing Spider down this path in the first place, reasoning that he didn’t need to become a murderer - he just needed to leave the People alone. She believes the tattoos and Viking braid to be a way to mock the People, which almost causes a fight after they return to High Camp but Jake is there to stop his mate from doing something stupid. Which was good, because Spider was very much ready to throw hands down and fight Neytiri. He could never forgive what she said, and now she wants to attack him over the identity he has come into on his own - yeah, that would end in Neytiri being KO’d. Spider honestly doesn’t care for what she has to say to him, since he doesn’t really care for her opinion since it often revolves around insulting him in some way.
The Sully Kids are very clearly worried for spider but still think it’s cool that He is fighting for his homeland. they wish that they spent more time with him and socialised with him more over the last few months, but they simply didn’t want to aggravate their mother. Looking back on it, they deeply regret not hanging out with him more, because now they can’t really recognise the Spider that they knew in him. Kiri is slightly more upset than the others, because she knows that he is pulling away from Eywa - she can feel it. She begs for Spider to abandon all of this and to rejoin them, reassuring him that her mother will be better towards him. Spider doesn’t believe it though. He likes this version of him - it’s something he was developed and he now feels comfortable as the person he is now. He tells Kiri this much, which prompts Neteyam, Lo’ak & Tuk to step in and try to convince him to give it all up. Spider just walks off, because he can’t possibly handle the sting of this betrayal. He can’t hate his friends for not understanding him, but this is who he is and they will need to accept that.
Norm is absolutely against it. He shuffles between lecturing spider, shouting at him for being so completely stupid & grounding spider from his privileges (access to the workshop, the armoury and gun range, his scorpion, etc. ). Norm has zero grounds to do any of this, because he hasn’t been caring for spider as soon as Max took on that responsibility full time. Before Spider can loose his cool, Max steps in and for the first time in years for Max, He begins cussing out Norm and screaming that Norm has no right to tell Spider what to do and that if he ever starts screaming at his boy again, he will [Blanked out, due to the unspeakable things and threats my mind just conjured up at the thought of Max threatening somebody]. Norm is speechless, his jaw is on the flaw. He has never heard Max swear or act violent in their time knowing each other, so Norm flounders for at least enough time for Max to take Spider away to somewhere safe.
Just as another thing, This would be the first time that Max outright declares Spider his Son. Everybody knew it by this point, but since there was no reason to state something everyone knew (or at least the scientists), it was never said. It was only spoken and declared between Max and Spider when they were together.
Mo’at deserves her own post. I’m putting it in the works to write - so bare with me, please.
In terms of Spider being captured, he does not. When the recom’s show up, Quaritch cannot believe that this is his son. He was worried that his son would look some hippy but this is frankly worse. A tatted up, heavily scarred, blonde-haired white boy, covered in all black fatigues and strapped with three different weapons was not what he had in mind - and he did not like it. When Jake and Neytiri come to the rescue, Spider took that as an opportunity to distract the recoms and start mowing them down with their own guns. He refused to have Neytiri of all people save him. He was only her because Lo’ak invited him and Spider only accept because he knew that Lo’ak was going to get everyone killed so he should tag along to stop him before that happens. Quaritch is in complete awe about how terrifying his son is (“That boy is a true Quaritch right there!”), but he has to retreat because he will in fact die and if what his son is shouting at him - he will die very slowly.
This is an incredibly long post for me to right, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. If anybody wants to send in more asks, I will gladly answer them. However, I’m exhausted from a long day of work and writing so I’m gonna nap for a bit.
Yours,
A uni student with consistently low levels of sleep
