Why are there Marines helping to guard the White House? Isn't that the job of the secret service?
Yes, the Secret Service is responsible for the personal protection of the President and his family, and they take the lead in doing so in the White House just as they do outside of the White House.
But the White House is also a vitally important military facility, so the military has a significant presence there as well. The President is Commander-in-Chief of all American armed forces and the Situation Room is obviously staffed by the military, as are the White House's emergency bunker. And, of course, the President always has a military aide nearby with the "football" briefcase required in case of nuclear war. The U.S. Army is responsible for handling the White House Transportation Agency and the travel logistics for the President and his Administration. The U.S. Navy runs food services at the White House Mess (I believe that military aides also do any necessary grocery shopping for the President and First Family -- the President is personally responsible for actually paying for his family's regular groceries). All of the service branches of the military help run the White House Communications Agency, both in the White House itself and whenever/wherever the President is traveling. The President's personal physician and most of the White House Medical Unit are usually active-duty members of the military.
So, yeah, the Secret Service doesn't stop protecting the President just because he's at the White House, but the part played by the military in day-to-day logistics at the Executive Mansion is significant because the White House is basically a military base in addition to being the President's residence and place of work.

All Plans Fly Out the Window
There’ve been quite a few long lost twins Damian and Danny meeting at galas, right? All very cute, happy, relaxed, etc.. Well what if we add a little twist?
——————————————————
Vlad Masters.
A very suspicious figure that only in the last few years rose to wealth and power from almost thin air. Companies that were doing decent simply handing over the keys. No court has ever been able to prove foul play, all judges siding with Masters even when counter mind control measures were in place.
Any evidence or stories implicating Masters were either retracted or removed with great speed.
Bruce did not want another Lex Luther to deal with, and yet he first needs evidence. All of his computers were tightly secured with little connection to the Internet, and the ones that were refusing to be hacked. (“It’s almost as if it’s… alive, B.”)
Therefore, while risky, a more hands-on approach was needed.
Tim and Bruce were to stay in the spotlight, keep Masters eyes on them. While Damian would sneak away and snoop under the pretense of, “being bored”.
However, all of this went out the window when Masters introduced his godson, Daniel Fenton who when shaking their hands said in the League of Assassins dialect in a pleasant tone,
“What the **** are you doing here?”

So in my “will-i-won’t-i” with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss (where I procrastinate and don’t watch the shows and only absorb the content through TikTok, Tumblr and sometimes Twitter) I came across Staticmoth/ VoxVal.
I saw the scene with Angel and Valentino. His abuse and disgusting behavior. I have an idea on how this moth asshole behaves.
And I have seen some people think that their relationship would be toxic, that Vox and Val, if the predictions are correct and become (or are revealed to be) a couple, would beat the shit (physically, mentally and emotionally) out of each other on the regular, but I think the idea that him and Vox having a healthy relationship could be such a punch to the gut plot wise.
Because that would mean Valentino IS capable of understanding consent. He KNOWS what working with someone else means without disrespect. He FULLY knows what sex is supposed to be like.
But that’s is between equals. Vox? His equal. Fellow overlord.
Angel? His property. Why would he give a shit about his thing?

I see a lot of posts about Danny seeing Jason and immediately thinking he’s a baby ghost and wanting to adopt him but what if it’s the other way around?
What if Jason sees Danny and is hit with oh my god that’s a baby, who left a baby unattended out on the street?? He needs help, gotta protect him, mine, yeah he’s mine now, I got u lil guy don’t worry
Meanwhile 15 yr old Danny is like um hi?? And promptly gets kidnapped. But he just lets it happen because he’s actually feeling the safest he’s ever felt in his life with this guy, and Danny’s core immediately recognizes Jason as parental figure and just relaxes Danny 100%
Jasons feeling like Danny is a helpless baby while Danny feels safe, protect, calm, safe, relax, and he just lets Jason take him home. Neither are really sure why or what is going on with them but they’re not gonna stop it.
I think it’s because Danny’s own parents kinda suck and any other ghost that he’s interacted with he’s had to fight in some capacity or has been spooked by them. Jason’s the only one who 1) wanted to parent him and 2) has good vibes. Danny’s usually waiting for fights to happen and he’s very stressed. Jason calms him down so much he probably falls asleep before they even get to Jason’s apartment, full trust that Jason will take care of him.
Meanwhile Jason never really connects with his pit side, but really wants to find some way to have a truce. Cue Danny, and both Jason and the Pit turn to protectiveness and so the rage becomes more protection and Jason yk, might be kinda lonely and wanting something to take care of. He was probably thinking about getting a cat and not a kid but he’s not complaining

Trump allegedly proposed bombing 'drug labs' in Mexico
Washington (The Times Groupe)- In his memoir, former US Defense Secretary Mark Esper says then-US President Donald Trump proposed bombing cartel positions and “drug labs” in Mexico.
Former defense secretary Esper writes about Trump‘s belief that US strikes could be kept secret with public denial in his book A Sacred Oath, according to the New York Times. drug labs
Additionally, Esper wrote that he was worried Trump would use the military to seize ballot boxes on Election Day, and warned his subordinates to “be on guard for unusual calls from the White House before the election,” the Times reported.
Esper’s book will be published on Tuesday, and in recounting his own assessment of Trump, he says he “is an unprincipled person who, given his self-interest, shouldn’t be in a position of public service.”
It further corroborates reports that Trump attempted to mobilize active duty military personnel en masse in the US capital during mass racial justice protests in summer 2020.
“Can’t you just shoot them?” Trump asked Esper of the demonstrators.
After his first impeachment trial, which concluded in February 2020, Trump became increasingly erratic and tried to tighten his grip on the executive branch by surrounding himself with people who pledged their loyalty to him.
Among them was Stephen Miller, a top Trump aide throughout his four-year term who Esper called erratic and dangerous.
Along with demanding the US deploy 250,000 troops to the southern border to block migrant flow, which Esper denied flatly, saying the US doesn’t have the troops “to send to the border for such nonsense,” Miller proposed an exceedingly thick act in the Situation Room when the US killed former Daesh/ISIS chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.
According to the book, this entailed taking al-Baghdadi’s head after he blew himself up, dipping it in pig’s blood, and wearing it as a warning.
Miller denied making the suggestion. Esper retorted that it would be a war crime.

I know darth vader telekinetically choking out a subordinate is supposed to emphasize how he is a scary and cruel and powerful Villain but all I can think is. if I had the power to asphyxiate people with my mind I would spend all of my energy CONSTANTLY resisting the temptation to make people around me shut the fcuk up.
