Thinking about how Jack waited like 150 years to see the doctor again and the only reason he was in Cardiff is because he was waiting for him but then he stayed so long that it started to feel like home he was tortured and killed repeatedly for a year and at the end of it the doctor offered him a place in the tardis but he realized that even though the tardis used to be home to him it isn’t anymore he’s grown so much and it wouldn’t feel right anymore so he goes back to Cardiff where he belongs goes back to torchwood goes back to Ianto that’s his home now not the doctor not the tardis not the 51st century he found a place where he was loved and valued He finally found a home

Sunday Snippet

thanks to @therealgchu for the tag. im tagging the Coemancer Crew as usual, plus ANYONE else who'd like to share what they are working on. This is from the upcoming chapter to Chasing Your Star Until I Reach Home.

Seren opened her eyes to the familiar sight of her own body being cradled by Vlad as always. ”Barely stepped on the journeyman’s road with us. Cant see another soul off to the void so soon….” She didn’t even speak, just turned sadly, even though she knew what she was seeing wasn’t real. That that wasn’t Vlad and it wasn’t the Eye she stood on. Instead she walked towards the anomaly, leaving the vision of grief behind her. She came out to find both Ren and Sam gripping the rails of the lift in silence and waited till the lift came to a halt at the bottom. Sam turned and looked at Ren who had tears falling down her eyes and closed the gap, pulling her into a tight hug. He let go after a moment, holding Ren at her shoulders for a moment before she nodded to him and he turned to Seren, tears visible in his own eyes. ”I saw myself, lying there dead as you said I would, Barrett holding my body and Ren crying at my side…Cora was cryin too but she was yelling at Ren…saying awful things… Seren's breath came out in a shudder as the memory of her past came crashing back to her, the sound echoing through her helmet into the opening of the cavern. ”That’s what actually happened in yours isn’t it? I’m so sorry” He moved forward when she nodded, pulling Seren into an embrace and for a moment she froze, not wanting to feel that familiar warmth she couldn’t keep. But instinctively her arms came up to hold his oh so familiar body, her helmeted head sagging against his shoulder, losing herself for a brief moment in a comforting feeling. After what seemed like ages, he pulled back, mirroring the same as he did with Ren, holding Seren by her shoulders. She looked up, her visor opaque again and she saw the pain in Sam’s eyes that he couldn’t see her face, but she couldn’t let him see the anguish in her eyes, not with the fight they had to deal with next.

So, I drew this the other day. I have made a self-insert OC that I have named Delilah Emily Jones-Humboldt or DJ for short. She is a musician who uses a bass guitar axe to fight alongside her team. Her story is basically like this:

Medic, before he has ever met Heavy or worked for Mann. Co, worked with DJ’s mother, Serenity Jones. Serenity was one of the best mercenaries in all the badlands, yet she was always calm, collected and compassionate. The two became best friends, and for a while, Medic thought he was in love with her. However, Serenity could tell that he was secretly gay, so their relationship never really went further than being friends.

Eventually, Serenity decided she wanted to retire from her mercenary job and settle down in a small Kentuckian town called Dogpost. Meanwhile, Medic had been running low on funding for his experiments and, out of complete desperation, made a donation to a sperm bank for some extra money. He didn’t think that anything would come of it, however he never would’ve expected that Serenity would be the one to choose his sample.

And from that sample came little DJ herself. Serenity was able to be her mother for about five years before she got killed by an old enemy (who DJ would one day face). Because Medic had no idea DJ existed, the little girl had grown up in orphanages. But what happened as she grew up is a story for another time.

Fast forward 16 years later. Medic is now on the RED team and is romantically involved with Heavy. DJ is now 21, and long story short was offered a job with Mann Co. After noticing how much she resembled Medic, they took a DNA test on them, revealing that she is his daughter. After she had officially made a member of the team, Medic has decided to do everything he can to make up for lost time and be the best father he could be for his daughter.

And not only that, but Heavy decides to take action as well. He begins to help Medic with the idea of being a father and becomes a stepdad for DJ. Sure, this family took a long time to get together. But when they did, everything began to fall into place as they went on to go on many adventures with their team.
