THE Izek von ortega, who's normally so stoic, but when he had to face his wife who had betrayed him and his family, he was completely heartbroken (he even shed a tear and his expressions????? Also "I'd do anything if it's for you..." ??? Idk if hes alr fallen for the original rudbeckia at this time but if that isnt a declaration of love idk what is !!) And rudbeckia too!!! The way she looked-- no matter how hard she tried to make it seem like she was willing to do everything that she did to izek, her facade also broke when izek's does, apologizing for toying with his heart all this time and asking him to let her go for the last time as his wife ... it showed that she was never willing to do all those things, and she was just another puppet in the grand scheme of thing by her family (and this scene makes me think that even if izek never express his feelings for rudbeckia, she alr knew abt it all this time :((( and she might also feel the same, and thats the reason she showed that she never wanted to do this..)

AND THEIR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENTS??? literallly the best i go from i love laugh live ruby and ruby only to i now love laugh live ruby and izek they are so in love i love them for it. ch.23 is actually one i wrote the first draft of ages and ages ago, and only finalized edits on recently. in fact i reread it tonight to review my beta's edits, and had one of those moments like, "hey, this ain't actually half bad (when not too long ago I felt like it was a horrible pit of despair)" ... i had especially little confidence in the final scene (action scene??? what action???), and all of the things tied to dcmk canon events in the first conversation between Conan & Haibara (because god what a tangled mess, i'm sure i'll need to do yet another reread of both dc and mk before too long to refresh my memory of all the details djfhasdjfh) SO, yes, very very nice indeed to hear that you were thrilled by it <3

i wish i could wrap up this reply with some promises about future updates but unfortunately, between irl jobwork and other projects, i... can't 😭 but i've got several chapters already roughed up, and i hope to get a few more underway with nanowrimo coming up! if nothing else, i will do everything in my utmost power to avoid another 5-month gap between uploads 💓

I honestly think jungwon might’ve rejected you at first LOL

he gives me very “class president, education comes first” type of person

so he wanted to stay focused on his grades and extracurricular things

but you’ve helped him so many times during school, he couldn’t help but catching feelings for you

and thus jungwon nervously asked you out (and ofc you said yes)

takes care of you so well (aka mom vibes)

nags at you when you don’t eat properly or if you aren’t dressed accordingly with the weather

sometimes its at a little cafe or at the library

MOST OF THE TIME, its him actually studying and you are just admiring his beauty

starts to lecture you on how important education is

but then there were occasional moments where he’d be distracted by you and you’re beauty (because you are very beautiful!)

I can see jungwon making you handmade gifts?

like beaded bracelets, handmade cards, gift boxes with all your favourite things in them

and he’d like receiving handmade gifts as well

he doesn’t care how it looks or anything, the fact that you took time to make him something means the world to him

i know he is a great listener

he wants you to come talk to him when things just don’t feel right for you

he’ll do his best to help you and give you advice

you guys are pure crackheads

like late at night past maybe 1 am

you guys just lay in bed making weird noises and faces at each other

laughing at absolutely nothing

but its a time that both of you always remember at the end

its a memory that has no real meaning aside from the fact that you are both truly yoursleves and happy :((

he asks you for fashion advice

he always wants to look his best and he trusts you enough to help you out

back to the handmade gifts, you made him a bracelet made from embroidery thread

you two have the same one (just in different colours)

HE WEARS IT ALL THE TIMES :((

no but he never takes it off

thinks its so adorable

so regardless if it goes with his outfit or not

he will always wear it

hugs are his form of healing

being the leader of a chaotic kpop band is alot of work

so just getting a hug from you makes him feel a lot less stressed

melts into hugs

like literally just stops using all his muscles, youre lowkey kinda holding him instead of hugging

late night hangouts/dates are also very common

the two of you go run around parks and playgrounds and eat snacks

it makes him feel like an actual kid without having so many responsibilities

curls into you when you guys are cuddling like a cat (IM SOBBING)

likes it when you tell him he is doing well:(

he just wants to be reassured that he is doing the right thing as a leader and a person

you’re the only person allowed to poke his dimples .

you just come up from behind and *poke* and he starts blushing

also lets you pinch his cheeks

AHHHH SO CUTE

he is still a little shy to fully kiss you so he has stuck to kissing your cheek

and he loves it

he comes out of nowhere and just kisses your cheek and walks away very satisfied

likes seeing you with the members and hanging out with them

it makes him feel so warm inside to see the ones he loves getting along

overall jungwonnie is the most caring boyfriend and everyone deserves a jungwon in their life <3

Shikamaru Nara x Fem!Reader

Summary: After the loss of his sensai, Shikamaru is stubborn and refuses to let anyone see him in such pain, especially his girlfriend. Until he finally opens up to her and she comforts him.

Warnings: sad Shikamaru 😔, breakdown, mentions of character death

When Shikamaru didn’t come to see Y/n after his return from his mission, she knew something was wrong.

Her worrisome and caring nature contrasting Shikamaru’s nonchalant, laid back way about life. It was a miracle that those two were dating. But like the saying goes, opposites attract.

The sound of gravel grinding under the soles of her shoes echoed through the empty streets as she rushed to the Nara residence. The front gates ricocheted as she flew through them. Stopping abruptly to remind herself that this wasn’t her house. Taking a minute to get herself together and breathe, knocking on the front door to see if anyone would answer.

The silence rang in her ears as she waited, approaching the door until it finally opened. There stood Shikaku, a grave look on his scarred face. It left a feeling or worry she didn’t like. Like this time there was actually a reason to be worried.

“He’s in his room.” The older man, stepped aside, allowing Y/n passage inside the familiar home.

She quickly rushed to her boyfriend’s bedroom, trying not to be too abrasive or disruptive. Her footsteps were quiet as she approached the door she had walked through countless times before.

“Shika? Are you there?” Y/n called, knocking on the door gently, “It’s me.”

There was another string on silence following her words.

Finally, after a few moments of silence, he spoke up.

“Yeah,” He muttered only loud enough for her to hear.

There was something about the tone of his voice that made her heart ache. A shakiness like he had been crying or was about to cry. Something she had never heard before.

Not once during there relationship had Y/n seen Shikamaru in tears. It simply wasn’t his thing and didn’t happen often. He typically wasn’t one to be emotional in front of his friends or family, let alone his girlfriend. That was the one person he didn’t want to see him in shambles. But he figured it would eventually happen at some point. Where she would bare the scene of his tears for whatever reason.

“Can I come in?” She mused, leaning up against the door, ear pressed to the surface to hear what was happening on the other side.

Shikamaru gave a shaky sigh, contemplating his next move as he sat, slouched on the edge of his bed. His cheeks tear stained and rosy. Mind still replaying the events of the mission.

This had happened once before. A mission like this. It resulted in the loss of a life. More specifically the loss of someone dearest to him. His sensai, his mentor, his friend, and more. Watching the life slowly seeping out of someone’s eyes was something Shikamaru didn’t ever want to experience again.

With a deep sigh, he slowly stood from his spot, taking heavy steps towards the door. He paused, a surge of tears coming to the surface as he gripped the door knob.

“I don’t want you to see me like this, Y/n.” Shikamaru confessed, leaning his forehead against the door, tears cascading down his face.

The pain detected in his voice left Y/n heartbroken. Her chest aches as her own eyes began to water.

“Shika....” She sobbed, placing a gente hand against the doors front. Caressing the texture underneath her fingertips.

“Y/n....please go...” He insisted, sobbing a little more. Trying as hard as he could to suppress his own cries of grief.

Her heart wrenched in her chest as she pleaded with her lover, “Shikamaru, please don’t do this. Just let me in, ok?” Her voice and hands shaking like leaves in the wind.

The vice grip Shikamaru had on the knob finally let up, loosening and twisting it hesitantly. Y/n stood back when she heard the knob moving, allowing him time to open up. Stepping back, careful not to put any sort of pressure on him by seeming too eager.

The door slowly pulled back, revealing Shikamaru’s figure little by little until he stood completely visible in front of her. Their red crying eyes looking in a strong gaze. Reading each other’s pained expressions. The tear painted cheeks, red puffy eyes. A million thoughts running through their heads.

Shikamaru opened his mouth, expecting words to fall from his lips. Only for the lump in his throat to release itself as a sob. Y/n was quick to rush into his arms. Allowing gravity to take them as they held each other in their arms. Shikamaru gripping tightly onto Y/n, afraid that if he’d let go he’d lose her too. Both of them sinking to the floor, kneeling into each other.

Shikamaru sobbed into her chest as she placed a kiss to his forehead and help him close to her heart. Taking her fingers through his hair, crying with him.

“Asuma....” Shikamaru stuttered through tears, “He’s gone.”

“Shhh...” Y/n hushed, “You don’t have to speak.”

And he didn’t. The pair of lovers sat on the floor in the dead of night. The only light illuminated the room was the moon light peaking in through the window. Washing over them in a sea of beauty as they cried in each other’s arms.

They spent the night bathing in emotion. Relishing in everything that had been held in for so long, Shikamaru relieving himself of the pressure built in his heart. Relieving the guilt, grief, sadness, pain.
