Gavin but as an actor.

Casting directors are chomping at the bit for this treasure. He's able to play roles so well. But in that Ryan Reynolds kind of way that he makes every character his own so no one can imagine that character played by anyone else. And he gets as excited about his roles as Henry Cavill.

Freelancer being his agent (in this one anyway) and literally needing a stick to beat back the adoring fans everytime he goes into a public place. Gavin who kisses every poster or paper he signs and winks.

Gavin who spends way to long in makeup but that's because the stylists can't focus being so up close and personal with this beauty. Gavin loves it. The beauty stylists can handle the way they need to hold his jaw to adjust his head to apply the makeup, and he's just staring intently into their eyes. When they get flustered and back away he laughs before catching their wrist and coaxing them closer with a "But I do so enjoy having your hands on me."

But there are those nights where he curls up in Freelancer's arms as imposter syndrome sets in. It always hits late at night after one of his movies premieres. Freelancer is always prepared with snack and games, trying to cheer him up.

Gavin who takes great pleasure in flustering his personal paparazzi. But he can't help the fact that Lasko is just so adorable and easy to tease.

Freelancer who doesn't notice the way that Gavin glances at them for a split second whenever he's reciting romantic dialogue. They're too busy trying to schedule his next interview to make sure he stays on the map (it's not very difficult.)

The fan edits that are being made of Gavin walking alongside his agent and the rumors going around wondering if they're dating. The interviewers that try to get an answer out of him for the public.

"So your agent... you must be very close with them."

"Mm. Yes, you could say we're quite close."

"O-Oh... is the relationship more than just pro-professional?"

"Would you like our own relationship to be more than just professional, dearest?"

He dodges it perfectly every time. But he also never confirms or denies the claim.

Everyone is both hoping and dreading the moment those two pair up together.

The late screen legend's son Christopher Candy paid tribute to his father on Saturday, which was the 29th anniversary of his death. He shared a throwback photo of the Uncle Buck star.

"Sending love to my father today. 29 years ago you started this journey," wrote Chris, 38, in the caption. "I miss you and think of you often. I still think of you daily. Loss is never easy but I can optimistically say it is one of the most meaningful teachers in life."

John Candy died of a heart attack at age 43 in May 1994 while filming Wagons East in Durango, Mexico. He was survived by Christopher, daughter Jennifer Candy, 43, and wife Rosemary.

A veteran of Canada's Second City improv comedy troupe, Candy became a household name in the 1980s with films like Stripes (1981), National Lampoon's Vacation (1983), Spaceballs (1987) and Uncle Buck (1989).

PEOPLE confirmed last October that the Candy family is working with Canadian countrymen Ryan Reynolds and Colin Hanks on a documentary about the late comedian's legacy. This is through Reynolds' Maximum Effort production company.

Reynolds, 46, made the announcement after Candy began trending on Twitter ahead of the Planes, Trains and Automobiles 4K re-release.

"With John Candy trending, I'll just say I love him," Reynolds wrote on Twitter of his fellow Canadian national treasure. "So much so, @maximumeffort is working on a documentary on his life with @colinhanks. Expect tears."

Maximum Effort also celebrated the news in a quote tweet, sharing one of Candy's lines from 1987's Planes, Trains and Automobiles. "You wanna hurt me? You can do it if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target," the tweet read.

I'm watching Red Notice right now. I'm exactly halfway through. If Ryan Reynolds and Dwayne The Rock Johnson don't kiss at the end of this I'm gonna riot. I don't even ship it, but contractually these two characters should kiss.

YES I GOT ANOTHER ONE! (I think so far I’ve convinced like a solid four people to watch this movie, which for me is a lot)

And fucking YEAH! The ot3 vibes really don’t show up too much until the end, but then it’s just like Right There. Obvious. It makes me happy that over half the fics on ao3 for this movie do involve the ot3 in some way. If there’s a sequel they’d better fucking make it poly as hell.

Though I also agree that The Rock and Ryan Reynolds should’ve kissed. They had so much sexual tension in that movie. I was low key hoping for a CPR/mouth-to-mouth situation, but sadly that did not occur (maybe in fic???) (shit do I have to write that fic? I’ve already posted one and have a second wip for this movie, guess I’m writing a third ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

It’s so stupid, and dumb, and I love every single aspect of it. It’s a quality action heist movie with an Indiana Jones style treasure hunt and vague poly vibes, what’s not to love?

Movie Night in Valtoria

A/N: This scene has been bouncing around in my head for awhile, but its ahead of where I’m at in the other series’ I’m currently working on. When I saw the prompt for Tropetober, I knew I had to skip ahead and write it. This is the prompt for September 10th but I’m posting a day early because I have no patience. The prompt is: slice of life/domestic/found family.

It was movie night in Valtoria. No one was drunk. No one was even drinking, they were trying to be supportive of Riley, since she couldn’t drink; being pregnant and all.

“So, what are we watching tonight?” Hana asked as she sank into her usual spot, the pink armchair with the oversized cushion. Most of the house was impeccably decorated, with everything matching and complementing, right down to the sconces on the walls. This room was…….less formal. It was the room Riley referred to as the “be comfortable room”. Nothing matched. There was no theme. Extra blankets and pillows were strewn everywhere. This was her favorite room because it was messy. Because she could relax in it. Company never saw it, so it was always “Riley ready” as she called it. On a moment’s notice, she could be curled up on the giant modular couch, with pillows for reclining as well as propping up feet, snuggled under a ridiculously soft blanket, the TV remote control, favorite snacks, and a book within arm’s reach. This is where she hung out on days morning sickness wouldn’t let her do anything else.

Drake slid the disk into the Blu-ray player and answered, “The Proposal.” He picked up the remote and walked back to the couch, handing it to Riley where she lay with her head on Liam’s lap. He sat down on the other side of her and pulled her feet into his lap and began to massage the arches.

“Oohhh that feels good!” She wiggled her toes.

“Riley picked it.” Liam supplied as he took the bowl of popcorn Max handed him, grabbing a fistful before placing it on Riley’s stomach where the three of them could all reach it.

Max nodded as he stuffed popcorn into his own mouth, “Never seen it.”

“I know, none of you have, that’s why I picked it.”

“There’s a reason for that Campbell, it’s a romcom.” Drake rolled his eyes in mock exasperation.

“Those are the best kind of movies.” Riley informed him.

“Oooh! It’s got Betty White in it!” Max squealed, reading the back of the Blu-ray box, “I love her!”

“Everyone loves her.” Riley replied.

“Who’s Betty White?” Liam and Hana asked in unison.

“An American treasure.” Riley replied. “Also, Ryan Reynolds is hot.”

“Should I be worried about competition?” Liam asked with a chuckle.

Riley laughed in return, “Not even close.” She looked up at him and touched his face. “Oh, sorry I just smeared you with butter.”

“Quite alright my love.” He said as she wiped at his face.

“How long are you here for this time Max?” Hana asked, “I haven’t seen you in a few days.”

“I’ve been busy helping Bertrand, but I have the next few days free.” Maxwell was the only one of them that wasn’t currently living at the Valtoria estate. Ramsford was still his home, but he came for frequent visits, often days in length. He was enjoying taking on new responsibilities for the estate, it made him feel more responsible and grown up. Bertrand was proud of him and that made him happy. He was trying to make up for lost time with his dad now that he was back, but he made plenty of time to spend at Valtoria. Riley had made sure that he had the official title of Royal Advisor to the Queen, he still helped with all her wardrobe choices. He was over the moon excited about the baby.

“Shhh, it’s starting! Maxwell, get the lights!” Hana had settled into life in Valtoria quickly. The biggest adjustment had been the freedom, she wasn’t used to deciding how to fill up her days for herself. It helped that Riley had given her full control over all household decisions, specifically creative control over the decorating. When Hana’s parents had disowned her, she had moved in with Riley at her duchy. She was on good terms with her parents again, but she had no desire to return to Shanghai. Her life was in Cordonia now. Riley was the best friend she had ever had, and she was about to have a baby. No way she was leaving her. Hana stayed busy running the household, planning the baby shower and helping set up the nursery. Riley had encouraged her to find outside interests but wasn’t pushing. Hana had taken a few art classes, a cooking class, and a country and western dance class. She volunteered at a couple of charities; she was taking her time finding herself.

“Oh my God, the eagle really took the dog!” Liam laughed so hard, he almost dropped the popcorn. He righted the bowl as he passed it back to Riley, contentment stealing over him. Liam worked from home as much as possible, commuting to the palace when necessary and limiting trips so that he could be around in case Riley needed him for anything. Yes, they had staff that could wait on her hand and foot, but he wanted to be hands on, as a husband and a father. He was trying to find a work/life balance, it was difficult with an entire country depending on him, but it was worth it. He had the family he had always wanted and that didn’t just include Riley and the baby. His family, his village (Riley had explained to him what that was) was made up of the people sitting in the room with him. He looked around the room and his heart filled with happiness. His family, sitting around watching a movie and eating popcorn; what an incredibly normal and amazing thing to be doing on a Saturday night. He was working from Valtoria the next two weeks then he had a short business trip that couldn’t be avoided. He hated leaving Riley while she was carrying their child, but it made him feel better knowing that Hana and Drake were always there with her.

“Why doesn’t he just admit that he likes her already?” Drake asked then glared when everyone laughed at him. Yes, he got the irony of him asking that question. He had fought his feelings for good reasons though. It felt good not to have to fight them anymore. When Riley became queen, Drake’s job duties shifted. He and Liam had figured out how to best position him to have official reasons to be with Riley most of the time. He knew Liam trusted him with her life, but he would have protected her regardless of official reasons or even his promises to Liam. He would always protect her because he loved her. It was that simple. Drake sighed as he sank down into the couch, running his thumbs gently across the balls of her feet. He had never expected to find a place he belonged, especially among the nobility but here he was, at the side of a queen and ridiculously happy and content to be there. Valtoria did feel like home, because she was in it and because Liam was in it and even, to a lesser extent, Maxwell and Hana. This life that they had carved out of the mess they were given was a gift. He knew that not everyone would understand their arrangement, the life they lived, but it was theirs and it was good, and he was happy.

“Here comes my favorite part!” Everyone howled with laughter as Betty White danced to Get Low and Riley felt pretty proud of herself for her movie pick. Hana was snuggled into her pink chair, laughing with no trace of self-consciousness. She had really come out of her shell in the last several months. Max had pulled a giant red bean bag across the room so that he was positioned right in front of the TV. Max and Hana were the siblings she had always wanted and never had. She sighed contently as she lay stretched out between the two men she loved. She could feel one of Liam’s hands tangled in her hair, the other resting on top of her baby bump, her hand laying on top of his. Drake had stopped massaging her feet but one of his arms was draped along her leg, hand resting on her hip, his other absent mindedly tracing small circles on the top of her foot. She felt a familiar flutter that was the baby was moving, then a more defined movement. Was that a kick? Until now, only Riley had been able to feel the small flutters of the child nestled inside her.

Liam turned his head to stare at her, “Riley, was that-?”

She felt it again and by the look of wonder on his face, so had Liam.

Everyone was looking now.

“What is it? Everything ok?” Drake asked as he sat up and moved forward to take her hand in his.

“Yes!” Riley nodded, as she sat up, tears of happiness in her eyes, “The baby just kicked!”

“What?” His eyes went from Riley to Liam then dropped down to her stomach as a huge grin spread across his face, “Can I try?”

Riley nodded and Liam moved his hand so Drake could place his there. He waited, nothing. He looked up at Riley, “I don’t think-“

Kick.

Drake’s eyes widened in amazement, “Oh! I felt it!”

Max and Hana joined them, jostling for a turn.

“I’m next Max, back off!”

The next few minutes were spent with everyone taking a turn feeling the baby kick. “I think our little one liked the song.” Riley laughed. When the baby decided to stop kicking, everyone went back to their places and Riley hit play to unpause the movie. She snuggled back onto the couch, leaning into Drake and laying her head on his shoulder as his arm went around her. Liam leaned back on the other side of her, his hand sliding around her leg to rest on the inside of her thigh. She knew the demands of the court waited right outside the door of the be comfortable room, but they could wait. For the moment, she was perfectly at peace, perfectly happy, and everything was right with the world.

okay i know i literally just posted a new bakugou fic that i'm not nearly done with yet, but i was watching red notice on netflix and ryan reynolds/dwayne johnson's characters' dynamic reminded me so much of the dynamic of another baku fic i'm writing with villain!reader/pro hero!bakugou

(these were all in the trailer so technically no spoilers)

naturally, they're enemies but they also get caught up in a dilemma in which they eventually have to begrudgingly work together and this is literally them:

reader being ryan reynolds ofc 😂

funnily enough, reader is also a thief in this fic and there were so many parallels between what i've already written and this film. like a badass helicopter scene and a scene where baku tackles reader out of a window lmaooo

anyway, i recommend the movie, it's pretty funny. also i love these two actors already so putting them together was an unexpected but incredible combo 😂

also ngl, while i am still committed to my current baku fic, this villain!reader fic is my baby... like my actual favorite child/most treasured wip atm so i really, really hope that i can finish it. it deserves so much...

and on a last side note, if you've already watched red notice, maybe you'd be interested in this reaction video i had already watched before seeing this film which is super interesting but also lowkey broke my immersive experience for watching the movie.

I was tagged by @andiftheycare and I don't know if I can put together a list of 7 whole things, but here goes, in the order that I think of them

1. The Proposal (yes, the one with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds)

2. Mamma Mia! (also Walking on Sunshine. this movie wants to be Mamma Mia and isn't, but it's got 80s bangers and a cheesy romance plot so unfortunately I love it)

3. The cold opening of episode 3 of Good Omens

4. All four Ocean's movies, but especially Ocean's 8 and Ocean's 11

5. Mulan (also: Hercules, National Treasure (yes the one with Nic Cage, and no the sequel isn't as good but still great), and Rise of the Guardians)

6. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (I don't even know what to say in my defence, I've just...watched it so many times it's become one of those things I can just stick on whenever and have on in the background....)

7. Any episode of Leverage and most episodes of White Collar, though I'll happily rewatch both for eternity

Part of my crackhead saga in where I imagine the Exo members as characters in different universes they don't belong in for no reason other than fun.

Inspired by episodes I recently re-watched and dedicated to my pineapple pal, @j-pping.

Minseok:

Also known as Sterling Cooper. Also known as Edgar Degas. Also known as Royston Cornwallis Staley, Interpol undercover officer. Also known as the greatest art thief in the world. Also known as the coolest motherfucker in the world. And guess what? While you were reading his aliases he stole three priceless paintings, a crown, wired the money from your bank to an offshore account, framed you for it, faked his death, and had an affair with your significant other. And there's not a single wrinkle in his Burberry suit. Now that's crime done with panache and finesse.

Junmyeon:

Also known as Mr. Bean, Flat Stanley, Ponyboy, or Kim "Danger" Junmyeon (but only to himself). Divorced and secretly cries over miniature porcelain figurines his ex collected. Besides that, does he feel anything? Closure...indifference...hunger. Might be a robot. One of the best damn detectives despite the mockery he receives for his bad humor. Honestly his determination and leadership abilities outweigh it in the end; everyone secretly loves him even though they never listen to his hunches. Favorite movie is "Grease".

Yixing:

Also known as Vernest Lambert Watkins, The Wizard, Satchel Gizmo, or Mary. Before you ask, his fathers name was Mary, his fathers name before him was Mary, and his fathers name before him was named Craig. A profilier for the police. Knows people really well after just one interaction. Like, scary well. Always wears ankle weights, even when he sleeps. Read about it in "Mens Fitness"; totally reinvigorated Ryan Reynolds' career. Do you like pie?

Baekhyun:

Also known as Jazz Hands, Lavender Gooms, Björn Baekrun, and "laughing-on-the-outside-crying-on-the-inside; the fastidious wrinkle in the brow of Psych". Keeps a "crap list" of all the people who have wronged him. Most of them are people he's arrested. Checked up on one of them after they were released and maybe kinda sorta dated them for a while. It was weird. Always lets Shawn and Gus in to the crime scenes even though he shouldn't. Does impressions of people they reference to lighten the mood of the whole, y'know, murder thing. Follows Minseok on Twitter.

Chanyeol:

Also known as Weepy Boy Santos, Felatio Del Toro, and Park T. T. Showbiz. The extra T is for extra talent. Has a fear of toupees. Will let out a nice crisp, "what the hell?" when he's really upset. Fell for the ol' flaming baked alaska diversion schtick. Twice. But it's okay cause he caught the killer in the end, and he uncovered a long lost hidden treasure in the process. Accidentally, but still. Come on, son!

Jongdae:

Was fired for a brief period because he was stripping on the side. His stripper name was- wait for iiiiiiiiitttttttt~ ...Morning Wood. It was to pay for a house with his wife. Junmyeon got promoted and hired him back on so all is well. They missed his steady presence in the office.

Kyungsoo:

Also known as The Jackal, Doughnut Holestein, Control Alt Delete, Magic Head, and Methusela Honeysuckle. He enjoys figure skating, tap dancing, and shooting his neighbors squirrels. Guest stars as a crime boss in a series of episodes. Was introduced as an innocent, charming victim. You almost feel bad for him until he pulls a gun from behind his suitcase. After-all, a gentleman never packs his weapon next to his socks; it's uncouth. Never admits to being wrong; only says, "I've heard it both ways."

Jongin:

Also known as Die Hard, Caramel Columbo, Ovaltine Jenkins, and of course, Black And Tan. People often confuse the last alias as a pair when in fact it is not. And was his mothers name. Revealed to be Kyungsoo's accomplice in the finale. Had a stint in New York with a different partner trying to pull off a heist on a skyscraper until the partner betrayed him. Has a weakness for sea-salt taffy.

Sehun:

Also known as Die Harder, Jonathan Jacob Jinglysmith, and Domo Arigato. The fun uncle who comes back after being absent for 20 years proposing a treasure hunt. Offers a 50/50 split, but really it's a finders fee. Doesn't tell you about his old partner's grudge after he had a dalliance with their wife...and their sister...and the sisters friend. Splits as soon as there's trouble, but will always send cool postcards. Leaves pennies everywhere he goes to bring more good luck into the world.

Tbh I desperately wish my f/os could be here with me and volunteer at the cat shelter I’m at because it’s heaven. They would love it, all the cats there are babies.

REASONS;

-One of the cats, Ryan Reynolds, got out of the room he’s been put in. This meant I got to pick him up and hold him like a baby to bring him back. He was a very soft baby and very snuggly. I love him and still am not over the fact I got to hold him like a big fluffy baby.

-Another cat in that shelter (different room)- Keegan- has just decided I am his human and purrs the very SECOND I start petting him. He also keeps licking my face and arm to clean me (you know how cats sometimes groom one another by licking their fur? That but with me) and giving me kisses. Plus, whenever I try to leave, he either grabs me with his paw to pull me back or gives me kisses so I come back and pet him more and I’m crying, he’s a treasure.

-Keegan’s best friend- Kinsley- has also decided I am his human and plops on my lap whenever I show up and rubbing his face against me. Also purrs a bunch.

-In a different room, I was petting one cat when another (fluffy black one, don’t know his name) has ALSO decided I am his human and immidately intercepted, purred SUPER loud to get my attention, kept rubbing his face against me AND promptly plopped himself on my lap so I couldn’t move for over five minutes.

-There’s a cat in there who looks super fluffy, and yet it somehow even fluffier than he looks, named Cody. That boy is soft as a cloud. I have never pet a cat as soft as him. My sibling pet Cody and nearly started crying, he is so wonderful. They literally want to adopt Cody because they love him so much. You can also pick him up, no problem. He is babey. Cody is precious.

-A fluffy orange cat there meows super loud when he wants attention and is illegally cute. He acts like he’s hard done by and meows whenever I go by like “PAY ATTENTION TO ME PLZ I WANT PETS?!”

-There’s two black kittens (Blackberry and Sirius) in there who will straightup be all over you the second you walk in and purr as loud as motorboat engines. THEY ALSO LOVE BELLYRUBS.

Thusly, it is a crime the universe has made it impossible for them to experience this place. I am literally begging the universe to let my f/os come to this shelter with me and see all the kitties in my heaven world. Like seriously????

2. What is your feel-good movie?

It’s kind of silly, but whenever I’m REALLY down, I love to watch the Proposal. It’s just SO absurd, and Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds really are treasures.

I also really like to watch and re-watch the Lord of the Rings movies. I think they’re comforting.

3. What is your favorite candle scent?

I used to work at Bath and Body Works, so I feel bad not picking one of theirs. They have SO many good ones. But I have to go with Voluspa’s Makassar Ebony & Peach candle. I can’t get enough.

4. What flower would you most like to be given?

Peonies are my most favorite flower of all time. But I think being given any floral arrangement/flower is lovely and thoughtful. I love arrangements with lots of greenery and fun and interesting blooms, like a protea. Something unusual.

26. What movie would you want to live in?

Can I pick a show? I wanna go on adventures with Mando!

In all honesty, I’d love to be in the Harry Potter universe. Magic? Sign me UP.

What’s Joe Watching - May 2020

So, I have a bunch of free time, everyone has a bunch of free time, and this is some of the stuff I've been watching so far in 2020. This is mostly TV shows, I’m leaving out a few movies I watched only partially. I'm including some things that I bounced off and quit watching, but I fully reserve the right to go back to them a little later.

Justified - Pilot I intended to just watch the opening Tommy Buck scene, but I fucked up and saw the whole episode since everyone is so darn compelling. And every interaction with Dewey Crowe and Raylan is a treasure. It's amusing to see the Florida Crowe Clan brought up in the show's first 10 minutes or so. This episode is completely fantastic, but it also kinda made me realize how the whole first season is a pilot. Despite him looming over a few scenes, Raylan's father never even shows up. I don't think I'm going to do a full watch through the entire series, but this was extremely fun.

6 Underground - A Michael Bay Film I loved the action, and usage of Dave Franco (cough). As usual, the movie thinks it's way more clever than it actually is. I mostly enjoyed it, definitely has action a cut above the average Transformers movie. The characters don't live up to the likes of Pain & Gain or The Rock, though. Ryan Reynolds felt like way too much of a Deadpool-Mary Sue fantasy of a badass in 2020.

Tremors 1 and Tremors 2 Definitely started the sequel without knowing that Bacon was nowhere to be seen. That was okay though. These movies are fun, and at least early on, they manage to make each one different enough to hide the fact that they're losing recognizable faces with each movie.

The Rookie - Season 2 I'm going to tiptoe around and not spoil it out of abundance of caution, but the reveal was pretty thoroughly lame, expected, yet also seemed hurried and out of left field? It was all done pretty well, and the episodes were usually good, but I'm slightly dreading Season 3. Every character other than Nolan ended up in a pretty okay or even promising place, though, so they could just write their way out of it.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle This sequel has some great moments, but mostly suffers from the normal "too much more" problem that affects nearly all sequels.

Super Troopers 2 Still mostly funny! Even when retreading jokes from the old one. Full disclosure, I fell asleep before the big climax/finale, but It went off fine and everyone lived happily ever after anyways.

911 Lone Star - Season 1 This show was ridiculous for all the right reasons, and seemed to have the right mix of the Glee creative forces to make something goofy and fun. Really hopeful to see it picked up for a bigger and better second season.

Lincoln Rhyme The Hunt For The Bone Collector Did I like this show just because of the long, funny title? Probably. But it was still pretty fun. Parts of it felt like a movie length story stretched into a short season of TV, but the cases of the week helped with that, I guess. Despite the twist ending, I think this is going to end up a one and done show.

Mission Impossible 1 & 2 The first is such a great De Palma classic. I used to think of the second as "bad, but at least it's John Woo", but watching it this time it just felt bad period. I'm probably going to watch the rest soon, since the rest are extremely enjoyable.

Superstore - Season 5 Holy shit, this show was really funny, and the union storyline has been surprisingly good. I'm a little upset that real life circumstances are kind of boxing the show into a corner, between the season not being able to finish filming as well as it being America Ferrera's last on the show. However, I'm pretty confident the show will keep on being entertaining in some way. The Office survived Michael Scott's departure, obviously. That's an idea, Robert California buying Cloud 9 in season 6. Is The Blacklist still going?

This next group of things I started watching for some period of time, but walked away. I don't want to say they all completely fucking suck, though! I definitely might go back to them, but they're at least on a big pause.

The Great - Season 1 This just dropped on Hulu. It's really promising! It has Elle Fanning as the titular (Catherine) The Great, and Nicholas Hoult as her husband Peter. It's got a really weird vibe to it. One reviewer said it was more sketch comedy than historical epic. Peter came off as David Brent, but actually slaughtering people. It just hit a little too dark and uncomfortable type humor. I usually love that, and love the Office! But this just felt pushed a little far over the line for me to stay with. More uncomfortable than funny. But it's a really amazingly well made and clever idea for a show.

Tacoma FD - Season 1 - TruTV Looked like Super Troopers plus Reno 911 at first glance. But it just didn't really click. Actually, sitting here, I'm struggling to remember much about it.

Battlefield Earth (Rifftrax) Not sure why I'm including this on here, I've seen this (and the riff trax with it) a bunch of times. The movie was just too painful this time. Maybe I'm getting weaker in my old age to stand John Travolta's voice in this movie.

Mortal Kombat: Scorpion's Revenge This is an animated Mortal Kombat movie that I vaguely knew was R+ rated for violence. It was uncomfortably like what a 13 year old would consider cool gory violence. Like just cutting dozens of ninjas lengthwise and huge cartoon intestines sputtering everywhere. It was well animated and the action was fairly cool, but it was just gross to look at. I lasted long enough to briefly appreciate Joel McHale as Johnny Cage, though.

Brews Brothers - Season 1 - Netflix I don't have anything overwhelmingly bad to say about this one. The humor just didn't super click for me, and I bailed out fast. It's made by the gentlemen behind The League. I liked the title/pun/idea about two different brothers running a brewery together. It just kinda suffered from a bad cold opening of the first episode real bad.

Happy Endings - Season 1 Okay stop yelling at me for not liking this show. I gave it a shot based on the cast and rave reviews and loads of folks with good TV opinions trying to get it saved. The way the series starts just struck me way more sad than funny? I guess that's the point, and I'm not letting them get to the titular happy ending. But eh.

Okay, that's a lot of words, next up will be a bunch of shows I'm currently watching/enjoying/excited to finish! Or it will probably be so long that they will convert into completed shows!!! Who knows?

I tried to keep these pretty varied so they weren’t all Disney movies but welp x’D

1) Aladdin | I’m sorry. I just freakin love this movie xD Also really liked the live-action version too, but the animated will always be my favorite and hold a special place in my heart <3

2) Pride & Prejudice (2005) | I will never apologize for my love of this movie or classic novels set in the early 19th century with romantic themes however. So relatable and brilliant. Also Mr. Bingley & Jane are a blessing.

3) Treasure Planet | Gosh my love for this movie is so strong and huge... Like where to start? The cinematography? The themes? The characters/character arcs? It makes me sad that it’s so depressingly underrated... It often gets a bad rap for the combined steampunk, futuristic-combo design or pop music but I freakin love all of it and will defend this movie to my dying breath.

4) The Proposal | ..... okay but I like cheesy romantic comedies, don’t judge me x’D Also Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds are a blessing

5) Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse | If only film companies were this innovative again x’D I loved watching this movie in theaters, and have watched it a hundred times since. The creativity and hardwork the people involved in this movie put into it is soooo apparent and so appreciated. My favorite superhero in an animated feature integrated with comic book designs? Heck ya, I’m in!

6) Sleeping Beauty | I am probably a lonely person in the ‘I love Sleeping Beauty’ corner but.... I freakin love Sleeping Beauty. Especially for the artistic, tapestry-like animation. And the humor! Just *insert Pacha meme*

7) 42 | Gosh do I love inspirational, historical uplifters like this about amazing people that lived... Jackie Robinson has always been one of my heroes, and this movie is downright amazing and makes me feel so much <3 (and apparently I have a thing for baseball movies during the mid 1900s since I also love A League of Their Own, so there’s also that xD)

8) She’s The Man | I’m a sucker for hilarious, low-budget teen comedies like this. Bless the actors for the amazing humor that makes me legit cry from laughing so hard

9) Prince of Egypt | I wish Dreamworks did more 2D animation cause James Baxter is brilliant. The art and animation quality is just astounding in this movie, and the score is just downright soul-hitting for me. It has easily become one of my household staples ever since I was little

10) Secondhand Lions | This movie isn’t very well known, but it’s one of my favorites. It’s not an expensively-made movie... but that’s part of what makes me love it so much. The actors put so much thought and quality and fun into what they are doing to make it so relatable yet magical and that it becomes such an enjoyable movie to watch. And always leaves me feeling really good by the end of it <3

Bonus: The Mummy | Evie is absolutely 100% my mood and I love her

Summary: Roman is working at a bookstore and his customer needs help. But how much would he do for a stranger?

Roman played some of his favourite music in the car when driving home with Virgil. The man on the passenger seat listened as Roman sang along to every single one of the songs in the playlist with such passion that Virgil was slightly worried of his focus on the road. Still, it was too beautiful to actually interrupt. Plus every time the song had any kind of romantic implications, and that was often, the singing man kept glancing at his lover with such enamored expressions that Virgil’s face was burning the whole time. Roman simply laughed wholeheartedly at that, which made Virgil’s heart flutter even more. How had he found such a treasure for himself?

Roman kept singing, taking Virgil’s hand and kissing his knuckles every time there was a pause between the lyrics. Thankfully they had already arrived to the parking lot, otherwise Roman either would have crashed the car for being too distracted or Virgil would have died due to a stroke caused by all the heat.

”Seriously you could’ve crashed onto something”, Virgil lectured Roman as they were walking up the stairs.

”You were distracting me”, Roman lazily complained, unlocking the door.

”Yeah sure”, Virgil sighed. ”Guess I need to use the bus from now on.”

Roman’s look softened, and he turned to give a hug to the annoyed man. ”I’m sorry, I promise I’ll try harder next time. But you still got the looks to make anybody fall for you. And they wouldn’t even complain.”

”Shush”, Virgil blushed and hid his face to Roman’s shoulder again. ”Why you have to be such a tease. It works too well with your beautiful eyes, I would do anything if you simply asked.”

”If that’s so, how about a kiss then,” Roman giggled.

Virgil lift his head up, taking in the view that was the wonderful man in his arms.

”Gladly.”

”You also taste good”, Roman noted as they broke the kiss. Virgil snorted.

”There are some things we should do”, Virgil said, glancing at the sofa.

”I agree~”, Roman murmured, kissing the other man’s neck.

Virgil blushed even more, realizing how his words could be understood. ”No, no! I didn’t mean it like that”, he quickly corrected, pushing Roman’s head gently away. ”I don’t want to do that just yet. I meant we should get to know each other better, like talk and stuff”, he muttered, looking down. Roman he’ll be mad at me for letting him down like that.

”Oh… I’m really sorry Virgil”, Roman frowned. ”It’s okay. And I agree, we should definitely get to know each other better.”

”You- you’re not mad, are you?” Virgil glanced up briefly before looking at the floor again, afraid of the answer.

”Of course not”, Roman smiled sadly, taking Virgil’s hands to his own. ”The one in a relationship who wants to take it slow should always choose the pace. I’m just happy that you got the courage to say that”, he noted.

Virgils eyes were wet when he stepped forward to hug the gentle man. ”Thank you”, he whispered.

”No problem”, Roman smiled and held him gently while thinking or ways to slay some of the poor man’s exes. There were signs that he had been forced to do things he hadn’t been ready to do back then, but maybe he could talk about it with Virgil later if he wanted to. ”I bought some ice cream yesterday. Should we take bowls of that before talking?” he suggested.

”Sounds good”, Virgil smiled and they walked hand-in-hand to the kitchen.

Logan was snoozing in his terrarium, relaxed after helping a prophecy closer to its fulfillment once again. He was mostly asleep but some phrases and sentences creeped to his consciousness from the kitchen.

”Can you imagine? It was Ryan fricking Reynolds,...at our shop!”

”We had to move a lot… I keep in touch with some of them, yes”,

”...Thanksgiving was always the hardest… gay cousin and all..”

”It was my fairy godmother’s doing.. to get to study… gollece”

”No way!… you like that as well?... right? Pineapple on pizza is great!”

”I’ve always wanted to travel… and to Siperia... as cold as my soul.”

”We should just have a movie marathon… all of them… yes! I said all, that includes your favourites as well!”

”Why do people even… like it’s so much easier just to… have your clothes on a chair… no need for hangers”,

“...lasagna is just spaghetti cake.. yum”

“Sleep is just boneless death...”

Logan was satisfied, knowing the discussion would only get more obscure from now on. He drifted off to a sleep with no dreams if the occasional, faint visions of tomorrow didn’t count.
