These bold-faced names, along with lesser known but influential Twitter accounts, didn't necessarily make the content go viral - and we can only guess as to why a certain person retweeted or engaged with a post: perhaps to support or criticize a message, or just as part of what they thought was regular Twitter conversation. 30, 2017, according to social media analysis by Meltwater, a San Francisco-based media intelligence company, which shared its findings with NBC News. Thoughts on the social media reaction to Roger Ailes' inclusion in the in memoriam and the Sean Spicer cameo on the Emmys?
Making a mountain out of a molehill as usual.
I can't help but wonder how the conservatives would have reacted if Ailes was left out of the memorial segment. There would have been a big meltdown for sure.

Special Victims Unit: An Episode Review

So I'm doing episode reviews. This time Special Victims Unit (because I'm back on that eo train thanks to Organized Crime and Elliot Stabler coming back). Don't think their be as detailed as my Major Crimes reviews because there’s 22 freaking seasons of SVU. They will consist of thoughts, comments, and some analysis of the characters. This is my first official re-watch (although of course i’ve seen various episodes multiple times (thank you usa)) and in some cases my first watch of some of the episodes.

What this episode is about: Detectives Stabler and Benson investigate the murder and dismemberment of a cabdriver who was a wanted man himself.

The acting is so hammy on here! So many baddies are so hammy in this episode. I kind of feel like this is a broadway actors dream on here.
There is a lot of comedy...it's weird.
OMG the cast is so young!
Cragen is eating. Like always eating, in like every scene! Twizzlers, donuts, nuts and Chinese takeout. Why is he always eating!?

I knew Cassidy was in the first season. I didn't realize he was in the first episode and I'm reminded why I hate his character so much.
This episode is kinda hard to watch with all of the anti LGBTQ+ being slung around. Like they are full on here. It's painful.
"The way I heard, that's not the only thing John never gets to eat."
Monique Jeffries (did she ever come back?) insulting John for not getting any, when the guy has been married five times is so hilarious to me. Like I don't think he's got any trouble. But also ALSO! Damn! That's a sick burn.
wait...what!? Munch lost one of his wives to a coworker...I feel like this is a thing that happened on homicide.
Rogers! I didn't remember that she was on SVU! I haven't seen her since Criminal Intent when she was boning Ross.
Spicers wife: "He was the greatest father I have ever seen." lol okay!
Olivia to Spicers wife: "What was it like sleeping with somebody who raped dozens of defenseless terrified women?"
Elliot to Olivia: "Your on very thin ice right now."
Olivia as the hothead and Elliot as the calm one? That's kinda weird. I get the whole passionate Olivia because yeah that's her but Elliot as calm is so weird.
Elliot and Olivia are exactly what have always made this show. It's the first episode and they already feel like two really great friends who have an incredible bond.
Elliot: "You ok? You want me to drop you off. I have to go do kid stuff."
Olivia: "I'm ok. I'll just walk this off."
Goes to do the following: Follows up on a potential killer, asks to see her hands.
Kathy! She's alive!!! (oops did I spoil that?) And...There's Elliot being interrupted by the his other wife. I love the way he talks to her on the phone it is really like the two of them are married.
Olivia's mom! And what accent is that? Their relationship seems way more loving and stable than is portrayed later on.
Are Elliot and Olivia having a conversation in the middle of the street? You can really see the city in this episode.
This crazy bitch just stabbed herself in the stomach! Yeah, I'd kiss Elliot too if I was on my deathbed.
Hey it's Angie Harmon from that Law & Order show that I didn't watch. And she's a freaking BABY.
Hey Cragen! And he's not eating!
40 minutes in and I really don't care what this case is about.
OMG Cragen just told Olivia to shut up!!!
"You just used your get out of jail free card, Olivia. There's only one in a pack." Lmao! If only that were true.
Elliot doesn't like how close Olivia is getting to the case and she's blinded because of her past. The killer is two women who were brutally raped by the victim Spicer (a serial rapist). He tells her 'you can't pick the vic', and says they have to arrest the two women when it's obvious they killed him.
Then the case gets botched because of Olivia's advice to the killers and with the other one stabbing herself. Cragen is pissed because they could clearly throw the book at them but instead they have to plead down to almost nothing.
Look at that! LOOK AT THAT! Elliot is over here backing up Olivia! Saying that the case wasn't as clear cut as Cragen seemed to think it was. The Olivia has a moment of stupid and is like we did it so I could sleep at night.
OMG I love you Olivia but you should have shut up when Cragen told you to! At least she realized it as soon as the words came out of her mouth.
Back to my original point, was that these two were too close even before the pilot. We know Elliot wasn't going to through his partner under the bus in front of Cragen (even though he didn't agree with her) but he not only backed it up. But he defended her! I am flailing over that!

Final Thoughts:
Olivia being a hothead here is starting to make sense given her dinner with her mom. She is so angry at him (her father) so all she sees is the victims of Spicer. We get a good sense of who are main two characters are. Elliot the family man and Olivia who is motivated by her mother's rape. Elliot and Olivia have already developed a bond. They seem to balance each other really well. Cragen is team dad but can give his detectives a slap when he needs to.
There is so much comedy and the episode is so very anti LGBTQ+ for no reason at all. Not a memorable episode, not a memorable case. I feel like some stuff they did (like cutting of Spicers cigar), the criminal in court showing off his penis, is stuff that was supposed to be shocking. Now it's just kind of hammy.

So would the Rogers choose a high bloodline but dirt poor match like the Westerlings or a wealthy upjumped house like Spicers for either Lucas or Myra since the older kids have better prospects?
It depends on the exact details of the betrothal. They’re not desperate for money so I doubt they’d entertain the Spicers. The Westerlings (before marrying into the Spicers themselves) would be a bonus due to the illustrious bloodline but Hal and Branda really would like Myra to be lady of a keep if she is wedding, and Lucas to be marrying an heiress if he is wedding.
