Done is Better than Perfect ✅

I never considered myself a perfectionist until I started coding. I'd obsess over pixels and be frustrated when my vision didn't align with what was within my ability to create. And I started to hear this phrase a lot:

"Done is better than perfect."

Of course, some things will always require precision, but one thing I'm slowly learning as I transition from university student to working professional (and back and forth between those two) is that for most things we do in life, there is a wide range for success.

The coolest people I know aren't the ones with the most money, fame, beauty, intelligence, or any other positive quality. Even if it's a mess and inelegant and nobody seems to care, they're the ones who show up everyday and keep doing.

Today was a success because it was done, not because it was perfect. 💚

The Alpha Code (10 androids)

The alpha code was the first successful code group after the prototypes and Null. They were designed to blend in to humanity, and as such could develop scars, as well as were allowed to experiment with presentation and style. Their design was not standardized, leading to malfunctions in certain droids. The Alphas were programmed to experience emotions and be able to feel love, an error corrected in later code groups. The droids present in this code are as follows:

A-1(Onnie)(she/it) -> Specializes in interrogation and analog information gathering

#how do u manage to stop a substance abuse habit without committing to total abstinence and/or a 12 step program #asking for a friend #(like im not speaking for everyone and im obvi not a psych or neurologist etc but i think the black and white thinking is #both harmful and unrealistic. and just..... disheartening? uncoupled from the reality of emotionally healthy adult life/habits?)#like i just find it depressing that so many people insist that a recovering alcoholic cannot have a glass of wine with dinner #even 20 years after beginning a successful effort to stop self medicating with alcohol #like that just feels...... fuckng grim? its upsetting to think if ur an addict u will always be one forever regardless of circumstance #so much so that you cannot trust yourself to drink one beer without immediately spiraling into addiction again #i think of this and EDs in very similar ways tbh. like the concept that a recovered anorexic will always have an anorexic mentality #that they have to fight off every single day of the rest of their lives regardless of clarity introspection body image etc....?

uuuhh..... i couldn't say now, I had to change my computer two months ago because the old one died and all my Sai brushes and settings were left there, I've been drawing on iPad for almost 3 years so I didn't think of it :__)

this was my 11th grade IB biology teachers reactions to our first lab reports. mf had a phd and was expecting college-tier work from us and we failed him. he kept saying how disappointing our work was, "Quite Honestly". i asked him not to use my work as an example of how shitty our work was and he did anyway. somehow i still liked him overall as a teacher though

#a lot of people also did shit on our first test and when he handed mine back i got an 86 or around there #and he was like #Good job. I can't say that to everybody.#my one friend in the IB program and i kept saying Quite Honestly as an inside joke after we recovered from the shame
