on one hand I want re6 to get remade because I think it has a lot of potential to be an amazing game with the right kind of team working on it, on the other hand I think capcom should just not touch it lest they inevitably fuck it up.

You know I think it's wack how Capcom just glosses over thr fact that in RE6 Chris gets full blown I can't remember anything amnesia and you know even if one gains back memroi3s the on going identity crisis that does ensue with gaining memory that you know "you've" lived trough. Like man I'd love to see that touched on more in future installments of the game but know it'll never occur probably.

You want to know what seemingly minor change I'd make to RE6 in a remake? Like, a change that maybe would mean nothing, but maaaaaaaybe would?
In the ending of Chris's story (like, I mean the very last scene), I'd make it so that you never actually see (from the waist up) or hear the BSAA soldier who walks up to him.
Maybe that'd mean nothing... or not. Let the fanbase debate what it does or does not imply ;)

THE DRABBLE ABT LEON AND SHY GIRLS FUCKK I FEEL DIZZY please write more 🙏
YES MA’AM🫶🫶 wrote this w re6!leon in mind, but ofc imagine whichever one you like as there’s no specific appearance descriptions.
Tumblr media
“y’nervous, sweetheart? or are you just too shy?” leon spoke from above you. his voice carried a specific type of gruffness that had your head spinning.
your knees were planted on the soft carpet as he stood in front of you, his thick cock hard and only a few inches from your swollen, wet lips. you couldn’t answer. your mind was too clouded with a shyness that only leon could make you feel. instead, you casted your eyes up to his, hoping he’d get the gist.
he swore his heart did a leap in his chest when you looked up at him with wide, glossy eyes. the inner parts of your eyebrows curved upwards, and your lips were in a pout.
“y’look so pretty, baby,” your heart swells at the compliment, a giddy smile making its way onto your face. he let his own lazy grin show as he licked his lips. “sure you still wanna do this?”
you nod immediately, a mixture of shyness and eagerness coating your face. “mhm,” your hand went to grab at his thigh, not necessarily to pull him closer, but more so to ground yourself as you felt like you could literally pass out any second.
leon laughed airily at your lack of words, always loving the fact that he could make you lose your complete sense of self and ability to talk so easily. he gently caressed your cheek bone with his thumb and sighed, “that’s my girl, always so good to me.”

Please tell me more about how Chris is on the list of people who loved Leon without caveats and not like, a lot of other recurring cast members. I mean I agree I just want to hear the good word of our himbo and hero Chris Redfield and this hot traumatized mess named Leon S. Kennedy.
So, the thing about Leon is, he has a lot of people who like him. He's a well-liked guy with very few actual personal enemies. But very few people tend to think about him beyond that point.
Claire likes Leon just fine, for example. So does Jill and Rebecca and Helena and Hunnigan and every other person who's ever worked with him. People value his insight and experience, they enjoy his company, and they overall have very high opinions of him -- but that's about it. None of them ever seem to go out of their way for him (except for Hunnigan, who only does it because it's her ass on the line if she doesn't) or have their lives affected by him in any personally meaningful way.
There are other people, like Ada, who have a certain degree of affection for him. Leon has a soft, special place in Ada's heart, sure -- but she also has a very out of sight, out of mind attitude towards him. The biggest debate in this fandom, sometimes, is what her actual feelings are.
And then there's someone like Ashley, who is the tragedy of the love that never was.
But then there's Chris.
Chris is the only person in this series who actually thinks about Leon just because he cares about him. There's actually a moment in RE6 where Chris radios him just to check on him and his location and make sure that he's not somewhere that's about to blow up or get destroyed.
The only time that was ever done in this series was in RE0 and RE1, because that was an entire team of people who all worked together trying to make it out together. After that point, everyone works pretty independently of each other, and any "check-ins" that happen end up happening purely by happenstance (think Leon and/or Claire actually glimpsing each other on a CCTV and trying to call out to the other at the end of RE2). But in RE6, Chris buzzes Leon out of nowhere just to check on him.
There's also a thing about Chris Redfield where -- one of his major character flaws is that he gets extreme tunnel vision. He's also stubborn as all hell and can't really be talked out of something once he sets his mind to it. Name a character that has teamed up with him at some point, and there's an example of him not listening to their plea/advice to do or not do something.
Chris listens to Leon every single time. Without question.
In RE6, Chris won't even listen to Piers when it comes to his blind fury and relentless pursuit of Ada -- Piers, who Chris handpicked himself to be his own successor.
Chris listens to Leon the first time, without question or much pushback, and he never goes back on it. All it takes is Leon saying one time "let the Ada thing go, I can speak on her behalf" -- and Chris, somehow, magically and miraculously... does. There's a real argument to be made here, due to this moment, that Chris trusts Leon as much as or more than he trusts Jill, even.
Throughout Vendetta, Chris defers to Leon's judgment and goes out of his way to get Leon at his side, when a simple phone call could have sufficed. And when he finds Leon in the state he's in, suddenly his focus isn't on getting his professional opinion anymore -- suddenly, it's all about Leon's physical and mental state. Chris is pissed not because Leon's refusing to help them, but because of Leon letting his depression win out and his drinking problem take over. Chris tries to take the booze from him not once but twice.
If Rebecca hadn't been there to keep them both on track, this would've stayed and continued a personal dispute. It wasn't about the mission anymore, for Chris. It was about Leon. And Rebecca had to remind him why they were even trying to talk to Leon in the first place.
And I know that there were Chreon moments in DI, but I've only watched it once so far, so I'd have to watch it again to talk further about it.
But suffice to say, Chris loves this man. Chris loves Leon more than Leon loves himself. That's for damn sure.
Hunnigan even describes them as a sort of love at first sight thing. It's impossible to know just how close they actually were in the time between their first conversation during the events of Code Veronica and their first face-to-face meeting in roughly 2008ish, but once they were together, they have had a partnership to rival any other in this series.
I actually hate to think how much worse Leon's depression might have gotten if not for Chris looking out for him -- because I think it's a really safe bet to say that they keep in touch between missions.
In fact, if the entire dev staff of Division 1 showed up at my house tomorrow and tried to say that Chris and Leon have no relationship outside of work, I'd call every single one of those devs liars LMAO

How Resident Evil 4 Remake Makes it More Explicit that Leon’s Life SUCKS
While Resident Evil 4 Remake's new introduction insinuates it, supplemental material makes it explicitly clear that the ONLY reason Leon joined the government as a special agent after the events of RE2 was because they threatened to MURDER Sherry, a little girl, if he refused to work for them. In other words, Leon gave up his freedom for Sherry's safety. Actually, to put it even more bluntly, it means that the US government essentially enslaved Leon, who was already severely traumatized by the events of Raccoon City, and forced him to continuously re-traumatize himself over and over again by forcing him to undergo brutal training and throw himself into life-threatening missions where he endlessly has to fight against bioterrorist monstrosities
(I’ll add the rest under a read more to avoid cluttering the tag)
This fact adds a lot of tragic irony to the story and a lot of tragic elements to Leon's character as a whole. First, Leon, who the government enslaved into working for them by threatening a girl he viewed as his daughter figure, was assigned to rescue Ashley, the daughter of the president of the US government, and I can barely believe that the government had the temerity to give Leon that mission in light of his circumstances
Second, it makes the scene where Ashley, inspired by Leon, excitedly talks about her desire to become an agent "just like Leon" and go on missions "protecting the US from any and all threats" take a far more tragically ironic, painful turn since, unbeknownst to her, Leon very much did not willingly join the government, and she's talking about protecting the very government that enslaved her savior
Third, it really highlights Leon's inherent kindness. Although you could argue that Leon had no choice but to save Ashley, there was nothing that forced him to be kind to her. Even though Leon has all the reason in the world to hate her, since she's the daughter of one of the men who enslaved him, he nevertheless was nothing but kind, patient, and selfless to her, which emphasizes the intrinsic goodness of Leon's character
Fourth, it really makes RE4's ending a lot more bittersweet and Leon's character a lot more tragic. Considering the fact that Leon singlehandedly rescued the President's daughter, you'd think that that would've been enough for the government to grant Leon and Sherry their freedom, right? You'd think that President Graham, who must have known about Leon's circumstances and who is completely beholden to him for saving his daughter's life and preventing a huge bioterrorist catastrophe in the United States, would set Leon and Sherry free, right? Wrong. From what we saw in the other games and movies, Leon is still enslaved. In fact, in RE6, it was even made clear that they not only refused to grant Leon and Sherry their freedom, but that they didn't even allow Leon to watch Sherry, the girl he sacrificed his freedom for, grow up, and they put him and Sherry under the control of the legitimately monstrous Derek Simmons. So even though Leon sacrificed his freedom for Sherry, just because Simmons hated him due to the fact that he thought that he was “stealing” Ada from him, he was basically NEVER allowed to visit Sherry. And since RE6 made it clear that Leon became highly suicidal and that the only reason that he forced himself to stay alive was to protect Sherry, it really just makes Leon's life all the more tragic. He saved the President's daughter, he saved the world, again and again, but nobody will ever save him, and he will forever remain enslaved by the U.S. government
And... overall while I love the fact that they did imply it, since they never even did that much in the original RE4, I do wish that the game made it more explicitly clear that Leon was forced to work for the government against his will because 1) it adds a really fascinating element to Leon's character since he is the only member of the cast who was essentially enslaved in the fight against bioterrorism, 2) it would have really strengthened the parallels between Leon and Krauser since it would make it more clear that the US government screwed them both over in their own ways, and 3) it really explains Leon's grumpier, more cynical attitude in the game
I also think it's strange that Capcom goes back and forth between acknowledging and ignoring this part of Leon's character and lore, and I think it's kind of sad since it distorts the perception of Leon's character as a whole in the fandom. For example, in Infinite Darkness, it can basically be argued that the reason why Leon did what he did at the end was because he CAN’T go against the government's wishes without endangering Sherry's life. (And I’m not blaming Claire for being mad at him, either, since there’s a good chance that he kept the fact that they’re holding Sherry’s life over his head a secret from her in order to protect her from being targeted by the government). Instead, because Capcom doesn't really focus on his circumstances, it just makes it look like he's a government shill
It’s just... so tragic. Unlike Jill, Chris, and Claire, Leon literally had no choice in his career against bioterrorism. He didn’t become a special agent of his own volition; he was enslaved. And the only reason Claire didn’t end up in the exact same circumstances was because Leon, knowing that she still needed to find her brother Chris, encouraged her to go look for him, promising that it would be ok for her to do so since he would look after Sherry. And because of that, Claire left before she could get captured by the government like Leon and Sherry did, and so she got to have her freedom. And the only reason why Leon is still enslaved to this very day is because he cares about Sherry’s safety so much that he was willing to sacrifice his freedom for her. In other words, Leon ended up suffering because of his kindness. He was punished for being kind
And despite all that, even though his kindness directly contributes to his suffering, Leon still chooses to be kind and selfless anyway, and that’s just so...
I love him

Thought of Sherry and made myself sad because she was 10 (retconned from being 12) during the whole Raccoon City incident and didn't have her pseudo parents (Claire and Leon) for a week before she's being shifted into Simmons' hands.
I was thinking of what kind of lie and the strings of control Simmons would have to cast in order to make Sherry trust him. I can believe she was tutored the year the incident took place partially because they wanted to check her danger levels as a bioweapon and partially because she was a traumatized child so her mental state would need to be balanced before being thrown back into school. The best place for her would be private school the whole time. There's a level of control money brings, and Simmons would be able to pay off or make disappear anyone who might see something strange about her. He'd funnel her to private doctors and nurses for all her appointments where she might be out of school for a week here and there, but her absence and lack of work wouldn't be punished either because, again, money talks.
I can think of her as suspicious and untrustworthy of Simmons at the beginning because Leon promised to protect her, and she's hearing nothing from him. I'd think Simmons would extend an olive branch to keep that control and lie appropriately. If he says Leon abandoned her, it would incite rebellion, and he needed Sherry to trust him. He'd probably tell her Leon was paying for everything with his job so she could live a normal life. Her acceptance of this would come in tiny waves. She did hear other student's parents talk about how expensive tuition and supplies and uniforms are. She is getting the nicest toys whether they're limited edition or sold out before they appear in her room all wrapped up with a bow. She can decorate her room however she wants and anything she needs is provided quickly.
She can't see Simmons weaving the web where sometimes her gifts would read "From: Leon". It's not his handwriting, but Sherry wouldn't know. She doesn't get that an extended school vacation after breaking an arm which healed in a week instead of 6-8 weeks was a means of keeping up the air of normalcy to her peers. She's told over and over Leon's working hard to make sure she has the best of everything, and does she really want to stop him? Does she know what'll happen if she does? Suddenly it's like she's with her parents again. That if she makes too much of a fuss she'll cause problems for them. She'll cause problems for Leon. So she oh so gradually stops asking where he is and what he's doing and when she can see him. Besides, the excuses for why she can't know that information were getting old and tired anyway. "He just left the country", or "He's getting special training," or "He's moving again". It was like they weren't even trying to not lie to her.
Until Claire comes to visit. What better way for Simmons to cement the trust he needs then to let Sherry see the other important person in her life as much as she can? Which does work. When Claire visits on her school breaks and holidays, the lies do feel a lot more like the truth. Sherry doesn't expect Claire and Leon to be attached at the hip, but if Claire can visit while being busy with college, maybe Leon was as busy as Simmons said. It helps that Claire admits she also struggles getting in contact with Leon. So maybe Leon was almost always out of the country and getting training and working all hours since everything Sherry needed was so expensive. Maybe he was working so hard to make sure Sherry had the best life she could. Maybe she should stop trying to see deception that wasn't there and work hard herself to make sure Leon's efforts went to something good. So she stops asking for Leon except maybe around the milestone events like the 13th birthday and 16th birthday and 18th birthday, and highschool graduation, and college graduation, and by then? By then, all the little red flags of Simmons control hadn't registered until RE6 where the mask comes off.
She sees Leon for the first time in 15 years, and it's him telling her everything was a lie. Simmons was a traitor and never had her best interest in mind. Never had their best interest in mind, and too many things are happening for her to process the information. She just has to swallow it all.
What's worse is she probably would try her best not to beat herself up about it, but I don't know how well she'd succeed. The looping mantra of knowing at 10 years old she was right about the lies and fell for them anyway. Having the hindsight of an adult to notice every single time Simmons nudged her life this way or that way to make sure she did everything he wanted. Questioning how many of her decisions were her wanting to be better than her parents, to make Leon's effort worth it, to be as well-adjusted as she could be around Claire, how much was actually her and how much was Simmons' manipulation? How much of her choices and personhood were hers and not a result of what Simmons wanted her to be? Fingers crossed she took a long vacation after RE6, and a longer vacation to really comb through that contract Simmons definitely gave her for her current career.

💙Authors Note💙: Ah ha, so under the cut is my first post of the year; that ficlet you all saw little blurbs from last year. The pairings Crave(Chris x Sheva) and boy has it been a long time since I've written so be gentle with me.😅 I've really always wanted some post RE5! Chris and Sheva interaction and the scenario has been on my mind for awhile taking form as this little thought experiment. It takes place after RE6 but before RE8. Let me know if you're interested in a continuation eh?
*I've also provided the optional audio above via a text to voice app of the reading for those who have issues.
It was bleak outside, gray; the clouds that lingered overhead teased rain but they never quite let a drop fall. She could feel the cool breath of the evening, emanating from the pane of glass from her window as she absentmindedly gazed at the streets below. Sheva Alomar had been preparing all week psychically and mentally for her upcoming mission on the island of Madagascar, Operation Orchid.
This mission was something personal, for so long she had been searching for leads on the incident that took both her parents, Umbrella had a decades-long foothold in the motherland, and she would see to it that Umbrella, Tricell, or hell any other bio-terrorism cell would no longer continue to destroy lives.
Per her briefing, the lead involved was keeping things very close to his chest. On the one hand, it pissed her off; because of course it couldn't be that easy, but she was willing to extend a shred of empathy as he seemingly only had this information as his sole bargaining chip. This man shrouded in mystery would be accompanying her on her mission in exchange for a complete expungement of his record, seemed reasonable enough but she'd hoped this wouldn't entirely be a dolled-up escort mission.
The soft glow of the streetlights outside filtered through the curtains of her well-to-do flat, -bought and paid for by BSAA of course- casting shadows on the furniture. Sheva, clad modestly in a plain black camisole with a pair of basic denim jeans, paced back and forth in her bedroom surveying the tactical gear strewn about on her bed, double and triple-checking her equipment while her thoughts raced. The all too familiar adrenaline rush before a big outing was to be expected but even with the incessant resurveying, it couldn't push back the memories that were starting to bleed in— the feelings began to intrude— of missions shared with her ex-partner Chris Redfield.
She thought she'd compartmentalized that entire self-serving chapter of her life accordingly but those unresolved emotions she could feel gnawing their way back to the surface, reinforcing their presence via the butterflies in her gut.
He was in town. The twenty-three-year-old version of her the wide-eyed idealist and the young woman who was naive in matters of the heart would have girlishly thought; "He's here for me, to see me." But she was no longer that woman and she knew better than that, he was there for work, steadfast in his duty as a dedicated protector. Even after he'd been missing for months, worrying his sister-- hell worrying her to near death, even after a stint of short-term amnesia he conveniently told no one about, and losing Piers in China; she could feel him slipping away, walling himself off...occupying himself constantly with work.
She took her phone from out of her back pocket absent-mindedly scrolling through her messages until she saw his name:
Chris: Hey Sheva, in your neck of the woods next week for business. Mind if I swing by and catch up?
She remembered hesitating when she first saw the message, her thumb hovering over the keyboard. A flurry of emotions pushing back, dread, anxiety, relief, heartache...anger. A small part of her still hopelessly longing for the connection they once shared; the other part wanting to chew him out for ghosting and icing her out but then sending a message out of the blue after so much time had passed.
After a moment of contemplation, she had decided to respond.
"Sure, Chris. It's been a while. Swing by Friday evening? Round 6?...If that works for you."
Almost immediately, Chris's reply came through.
Chris: Understood. Six should be fine, looking forward to catching up.
He was never one to mince words, she honestly was shocked he had even sent a text in the first place, recalling a hazy pillow-talk session where he irritably groused about his distaste for it. But it was set and done and the pent-up tension came out on one haggard exhale as she arbitrarily slid the phone onto her coffee table.
Now here it was Friday evening, and she was standing there in her living room hating how it all made her feel. Was this all a mistake? Was she nervous? Angry?
She wouldn't have too much time to think about it as a knock on the door rattled her thoughts, jolting her back to the present. Sheva looked at her phone bewildered.
'5:45? Punctual this one. How could she forget?
Gathering herself, she approached the door; a soft exhale passing her lips as she hesitated slightly before opening it. Standing in the doorway was Chris Redfield, a rugged silhouette against the dimly lit corridor. His attire was rather morose not a hint of color, dark grays and blacks under a long coat. What was striking now was the silver cropping up slowly in his hair and beard, the faint beginning of all the wear-and-tear over the years, creeping up on his face. Still as handsome as ever though just with a bit more of a mature edge. Sheva couldn't help but set out for his eyes, they always betrayed him and she took a bit of pride in being able to find his tell, and when her eyes finally met his, for the briefest moment, the weight of unspoken words were laid bare.
"Hey," Chris said, his gaze breaking the line with hers, his voice low and gruff, a familiar warmth beneath the surface. "Mind if I come in?"
"Of course." Was all she could muster.
Sheva stepped aside, allowing Chris to enter. As he walked passed he still absolutely towered over her. The tension between them; already palpable, even after only a few brief moments a silent storm was brewing in the room. She closed the door, and as the latch clicked, the air grew even heavier.
"...I know it was on short notice, but thanks for having me," Chris said, his voice carrying a mix of formality and an underlying sincerity.
"Can I get your-" She motioned at the long trench-coat, trying her damnedest to keep up appearances.
Chris' eyebrows briefly rose quizzically and upon realizing what she was gesturing towards, he gently rejected the offer.
"-I won't be long."
Sheva winced just ever so slightly feeling her jaw clench, she led him into her living room directing him to the large sofa, while she took a smaller chair askew from him, and as they settled in, another bout of uneasy silence...
"So you wanted to catch up, let's catch up." her tone was cold, but her eyes burned and bore through him.
That didn't go unnoticed by Chris, a flash sideways glance in her direction turned immiedtly into a more defensive position, looking down and away.
"How are you? How have you been?"
"Busy...you know how it is."
"Yeah I do, in this line of work doesn't really afford much time for anything else..."
Sheva snatched her gaze away from him not responding.
Chris, ever perceptive, picked up on the palpable unease but decided to press on.
"I heard you transferred to a different branch," he remarked cautiously, choosing his words with care.
"Yeah, here in London." Sheva replied curtly. "Needed a change of scenery."
Chris nodded, his eyes studying her face for any hints of what lay beneath the cold exterior. "And how's that treating you?"
Sheva took a moment before responding, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Different challenges. More paperwork, less action."
Chris chuckled, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. "You always did prefer being out in the field."
A bitter smile played on Sheva's lips but silent she remained.
"...Heard you were soloing the operation in Madacascar."
Shevas brows furrowed a bit.
"And how'd you hear about that?"
Chris leaned back, his gaze steady. "Word gets around. You know how it is."
Sheva's expression remained guarded. Of course he'd know he was a founding senior member, but had he'd be asking around specifically? "I guess so."
Chris, sensing the need to tread carefully, continued, "Look, Sheva, I didn't come here to pry. I just... wanted to see how you're holding up, solo missions can be difficult y'know"
Sheva nodded, appreciating the sentiment but wary of the unspoken history that lingered between them. Chris searched her face again, his eyes running down her form, searching for cues she wouldn't vocalize.
"You have a partner on this mission?" he almost seemed just to blurt that out and almost immediately regretted how that might sound to her; yet he still glanced at her with a raised eyebrow.
Sheva's eyes narrowed at Chris' question, a flicker of irritation and suspicion crossing her face. She hesitated for a moment, debating how much to reveal, but then decided to keep it brief.
"It's classified." she replied tersely. "But, Chris please this isn't my first mission without you- without a partner". She hastily corrected. "I can handle this alone."
Chris nodded, understanding her need for discretion, a flicker of concern in his gaze nonetheless. "I know you can, Sheva. It's just... always safer with someone watching your back."
Sheva could feel her hands start to clench slightly. His concern was sincere; that she never doubted, but why now after all this time did he choose to sit before her?
"Is this your way of keeping tabs Chris? Making sure your conscious is clear hmm?"
He shook his head, his expression seemingly hurt and taken aback.
"Figured you'd know me better than that."
"Maybe a long time ago I would have; We were partners....a team. But things have changed...you've changed. "
Chris felt his shoulders tense up, his jaw clench, her response struck a nerve. "Sheva." He'd turned cold and stern. "We've been through this. We can't afford distractions in this line of work."
"Distractions!?" Her voice raised. She straightened her posture, turning to face him; eyes welling threatening to betray her actual feelings. She leaned in as if to extend her heartache towards him.
"No. Don't you dare..." You don't get to do this Chris! "You're the one who left." "You're the one who completely shut me out!"
"I had too!" He snapped, his face falling solemnly as he finally met her gaze.
"You are in danger when you're with me." " And I've lost entirely too many people I care about-" He stopped short; Sheva was watching him intently waiting with baited breath for what she assumed would be a poor excuse.
He was afraid that this would happen; but it was foolish of him to think this wouldn't boil over eventually; this was a conversation long overdue and he knew that at the very least he owed her an explanation...
"So do I just not get a say in any of this?" Sheva replied; a little despondent, the tears from earlier finally falling as she quickly went to remove them with the back of her hand.
"I fell in love with you..." He began, the words hanging in the air like a confession he never thought he'd utter; the softness in his voice amplifying the pain beneath the surface.
"Chris-" Sheva's voice was a soft plea, her eyes searching his, for the truth behind his revelation.
"And frankly, that scared the shit out of me," he continued, his tone laced with regret. "I couldn't afford that distraction. It compromised my judgment, my focus. I found myself questioning decisions, hesitating when split-second choices could mean life or death."
Chris looked up, meeting Sheva's gaze again, and in that moment, he felt like he couldn't remain seated any longer. He rose from the sofa, a mixture of sorrow and determination etched on his face. Closing the distance between them, he approached Sheva, kneeling before her; his hand gently cupping her cheek. His thumb tracing the path of a tear, wiping it away.
"You have no idea how hard it was for me to walk away from you Sheva; to walk away from us... but I had to."
Sheva's expression softened, the ice around her heart starting to crack as she absorbed the weight of Chris' internal struggle. The room felt smaller, the air heavy with the shared pain of a love that had been sacrificed.
"I could not... bear the thought of something happening to you because of me..." Chris continued, his voice now carrying the burden of regret. "Please. I just need you to understand that..."
His plea lingered, echoing in the quiet room, there was no more daylight outside, only the cold darkness of early nightfall and the street lights flickering from below.
Hestantily Chris removed his hand from her face, standing up he began walking past her just short of the front door; but not before stopping to look over his shoulder.
"While you're out there. One call, Sheva. Just say the word and I'll have a team there to back you up," he assured her, his tone conveying a mixture of sincerity and concern.
Sheva, still battling her emotions, felt a surge of frustration. Without thinking, she rushed forward out of her chair and grabbed the sleeve of Chris's jacket.
"Damn it, Chris," she muttered, her voice a mix of frustration and vulnerability. "You can't just waltz in here, talk about falling in love with me, and then just leave it at that."
Chris turned to face her fully, his expression softening. Sheva's anger faltered as she gazed into his eyes, and a silent understanding passed between them. In a moment of impulsive vulnerability, Sheva closed the distance between them, wrapping her arms around him in a comforting embrace.
Chris, caught off guard but not resisting, hesitated before bringing his arms up and around her to embrace her in return, one of his hands thoughtlessly caressing the line towards the small of her back a gesture that hearkened back to a more intimate time in their relationship.
"Look beyond yourself and your own fears for once, okay?" she whispered, her words muffled against his shoulder.
Chris stood there holding her, his resolve wavering more than he'd care to admit. The proximity reignited a familiar warmth within, and as Sheva looked up at him, her soft brown low lidded eyes and the curve of her lips drew him further in. He found himself captivated by the woman before him, a cascade of conflicting emotions welling up inside.
Against his better judgment, and against the voice commanding him to put duty over his desires; Those eyes; her eyes had him where he could no longer resist, he would gladly let her consume him. Chris tilted his head just slightly removing what little distance remained between them. Their lips brushing softly ;almost timidly at first, but then quickly increasing to a heated intensity that spoke to the true volume of unspoken desires they had tried so hard to bury.
Sheva sighed into it with longing and frustration, her hands wandering a bit aimlessly, almost like if she couldn't grab a hold of something she'd cruelly be woken up or he would turn to dust at that very moment. While Chris brought a more grounded energy to his ministrations, his hand moving to cradle the back of her neck, deepening their kiss. Her head was swimming, he expertly worked her body like he'd never left; the room seemingly spinning around them and the weight of the past; the tension between them fueling the passion of the moment.
Sheva pulled away tentatively; breathless.
"You're so selfish..." She purred, panting between her aches of desire.
Her words left his expression beckoning, he so rarely let slip the iron mask and only a precious few saw underneath it. Maybe right now, here with her in this moment he wanted to be selfish, let someone else be the superhero...
Sheva leaned into him, on her tip toes to reach; she brought slender fingers to trace the faint lines on his face, before trailing and then resting her hand on his chest. With eyelashes fluttered shut, she tilted her head back just slightly. He knew her body language intimately enough to understand the gesture; his lips seeking hers once more but with a carnal urgency that wasn't present earlier. Both their hands began to wander, tracing the contours of each other's bodies, fingers entwined in a dance that spoke of familiarity and longing. The physical connection reignited a fire that had smoldered beneath the surface, and for a brief moment, the world outside ceased to exist.
One of Chris' hands stopped on her hip to draw her closer, the other resting on her back while Sheva grasped at the collar of his coat eager to feel anything other than the material of his clothing.
But then, a sudden realization jolted through them. The intensity of the kiss, the wandering hands, and their intimate past collided with the stark reality of their present situation. He couldn't push it to the side long enough; just this once, he wanted to be careless and vulnerable, even if it was for the one night, even if it meant just for however brief he could indulge in pure unbridled happiness. He wanted her and she wanted him, but they both knew. He knew; it couldn't stay this way, not without him hurting her again and with that Chris pulled away, his breath uneven, his eyes locked with Sheva's.
"We-...We can't," he whispered breath still shaky, lust tinged with a mix of regret and urgency in his voice.
Sheva, her chest rising and falling, her grip loosening on his collar nodded in silent acknowledgment. The room was charged with unspoken words, and as they stood there, their faces mere inches apart, the weight of the impossibility of their connection hung heavy in the air.
Chris took a reluctant step back, breaking the intimate spell. Sheva's hand falling into his as if to weakly pull him back into her embrace. The silence lingered, and in that moment of clarity, they both understood why they couldn't continue further. The unresolved tension remained, a bittersweet reminder of the passion they had briefly allowed themselves to indulge in.
"I should go. Before, I do something I can't take back." Chris said, his voice barely above a whisper, his thumb grazing the soft delicate skin on the back of her petite hand.
Sheva nodded, her own emotions in turmoil. "Yeah, you should." She'd said that confidently but her hand still reluctantly pulled away from his.
As Chris turned to leave, the weight of sadness and regret began to fill the room. The line between duty and desire blurred for a moment, leaving them both grappling with the ghosts of what once was and what could never be.
"...Stay safe Sheva."
"...You too. Chris."
Chris nodded, closing the door softly behind him, and with that he was gone again. Sheva standing there alone with nothing left but the mission that awaited her, she would now have to focus on seeing that through till the end and leaving the past where it remain...

I'm way too lazy to put a proper title and such but this is basically a fluffy little Slasher RE6!Leon x Reader drabble that absolutely no one asked for 🥲
The moment you nearly jumped out of your skin when the door slammed shut, you knew who it was. By the eerie silence and the overwhelming sense of unease that just his presence alone is able to blanket all four corners of the house in, you knew Leon had returned from 'work.' Having entered through the backdoor as usual, he's done it so many times to the point where it's become second nature that you keep it unlocked.
Another odd component to this extremely bizarre roommate set up that you and he have created.
You feed him, give him shelter, and he doesn't end your life like the many others he's taken before. You know it's wrong, aiding a felon- an extremely dangerous, wanted killer to be more specific. You know you should call the police, or Chris, already aware about his own encounter with Leon that night.
"I swear to you y/n, the moment I see him again. I'm gonna make sure I put a bullet in him. Rip his mask off and watch whatever semblance of life he has drain from his eyes. He's cast his shadow of fear and grief over this city for too long…"
"I'll keep you safe from him, I promise."
Your face finds its way into your hands with a deep sigh of guilt. That classic damned if you do, damned if you don't is why you keep quiet. Or that's what you tell yourself at least, since you can't bring yourself to think about the real answer. Chris is trying to protect you… from the very thing that you're harboring in your home right now. You know that if you do say anything about Leon, that's not just your life that's cut short, but Chris as well, and anyone else who gets in his way. Who, now that you're finally tuning into what's going on, is making a lot of noise.
Being around Leon long enough has caused you to inadvertently pick up some of his patterns. Like how he's normally much quieter than that. Only ever making a subtle amount of sounds to lure his victims where he wants them. It's also just a means to scare you, everytime you think Leon is in one part of the house you turn around, only to find him standing there staring at you. It's part of what amuses him. His routine. Which he also hasn't done yet since he got home.
You shouldn't care enough to turn and call out his name, yet you feel that you just need to, even if he doesn't answer. Before you can open your mouth, however, it seems Leon knew you were going to. Making you jolt slightly when you find him already standing in the kitchen. You would ease down a little, which is still a strange thing for you to do around him, but it's short lived when you see the blood.
There's a very obvious crimson trail following behind him, smeared all over his clothes, still dripping from his hands and knife. You don't wanna know who it could belong to, though you're probably gonna find out anyway when it shows up on the News tomorrow. But, by his stature alone, you could see it's not just some unfortunate civilian. Leon's shoulders were more hunched than normal, and the breath that escapes through his mask is loud, ragged. It connects the dots for you quickly.
He's hurt.
"Holy shit." You whisper past your fingertips when your hand goes to your mouth in shock. Again, you really shouldn't care, you should be praying that he'll finally drop dead where he stands. You shouldn't be reaching into the cabinet for the first aid kit, shouldn't be asking him if he needs help and wait for an answer. Yet, that's exactly what you do.
There's a brief minute of silence until Leon slightly turns his body to the side to give you a path out of the kitchen. You act swiftly and head for the bathroom with the medical necessities, hearing his boots hit the hardwood as he trails behind you. Once in the bathroom, you set down the supplies while Leon sits on the toilet lid with what you could assume is a quiet sigh of exhaustion. Probably sitting down for the first time this whole night.
It's things like that that often makes you realize he's still human, to an extent at least. You've still witnessed him do things that are beyond the capabilities of an ordinary man. So much that he's survived. Things that would kill anyone else. Maybe that's why just being in the same space as him is still deeply upsetting at times. Especially when all you can smell near him is the strong scent of iron.
He's pretty unpredictable.
Even now, Leon could very easily kill you if he wished. Whether it's because he doesn't see usefulness in you anymore, or if he just suddenly gets bored. He's smart enough to take care of his own wounds after all.
So what is his purpose for keeping you alive?
You don't know, nor will you ever try to gain the courage to ask, as you take a small shaky breath to calm your nerves before turning to face the man. As usual, those dark eye sockets of his mask are already peering back at you. Fighting to contain a small shudder, you point to his bloodied coveralls, "I'm gonna need to move your clothes out of the way so I can see where you're hurt, ok?"
Once again, Leon is still for a short moment before he straightens his back up more. Keeping his hands in his lap so you have room to work on him. After you get permission, you step closer to unbutton the flap and unzip the top part of his suit down. You see his plain black T-shirt underneath, torn in some areas, very clearly red and sticking to his skin in others. Your brows lightly furrow in concern, almost hesitant to lift his shirt up now. But with the way he leans forward for your hands to lightly splay against his chest, you make yourself carry on. Carefully, you remove Leon's shirt. But this time with extreme caution to not take his mask off with the ruined fabric.
That's when your concern turns to horror.
For one, you can't tell what's fresh wounds and what's old scars that the blonde obtained from Doctor Benford shooting him the first time he escaped all those years ago. Everything is caked in a layer of dried blood, dirt, sweat, and grime.
The darker spots on Leon's torso yielded some clues at least, more bullet wounds for sure, as well as some deep cuts and heavy bruising. Like he was beaten with something, or numerous things, who in the world managed to get ahold of him to do all of this? Nevermind how he survived it, that's a question you long gave up trying to answer. Much like how, considering that he's sitting here right now, tells you that the one's who did this most likely aren't around anymore.
"Fucking hell…" You mumble as your eyes drift across the vast sea of injuries before settling on what you know is probably gonna take the most work. "Jesus Christ Leon, you got burned too?" The response you get is a low huff, it's a long story that he's clearly still mad about, which obviously would suggest that you don't mention it. Now, you know you're not a doctor, but anyone knows a burn when they see one. They stick out, and are never pretty. It cascades over his left shoulder, seeming to creep upward before going to hide away under his mask, which also looks rather charred on one side now that you've gotten a closer look.
There's so much going on around Leon's chest and abdomen, you don't know where to begin. You opt to clean the mess away for starters, let you see where the wounds are and also prevent any infection. If he's even capable of getting sick. Nearly an entire roll of paper towels, tissue, and cleaning wipes later. You finally get an eyeful of the damage that was done, and a little extra…
You already knew Leon was fit. However, it's one thing to imagine, another to actually have your face up close and personal with it. Now you have details. Now you get to see what lies beyond those dangerous hands- that have yet to lethally turn against you. Following one of the protruding veins on the back of his large palm, it runs up through his muscled forearm before disappearing into the hearty meat of his bicep.
Along the way you find another old bullet scar, stamped right below where Leon's shoulder meets with his collarbone. A roadblock, or perhaps an important landmark. Your eyes continue their journey along the bone before dipping down to pass between a valley of pure muscle that makes up the natural pecs and abs of his strong chest.
You know you should probably stop, you know Leon can see what you're doing- you're kneeling right in front of him for God's sake. So maybe it's a good thing that before your eyes could follow the happy trail and obvious indent of his V-line, Leon suddenly shifts to lean forward and tilt his head at you. Course it makes you jump a little, avoiding his gaze with a small 'sorry' as you search for the tweezers. Search, more like you passed your hand over the tool a couple times before you finally grabbed them and got to work plucking out the bullets.
Though you think Leon is now annoyed with you, that ghost of a smirk hiding beneath his mask while he stares down at you would say otherwise. He knows you were looking, and sees it in your burning cheeks how flustered he made you. Maybe he should do this more often.
Curious about what other reactions he'll get out of you, he patiently waits for you to finish wrapping some gauze around his torso. Add some bandaids to the smaller injuries on his hands and arms, then stand up to get a closer look at the burn on his shoulder. The man would almost chuckle at how gentle your dainty hands work, as if you're scared of hurting him more, carefully padding the burn ointment onto his seared skin before stopping at the edge of his mask. You then step away, which leaves some vague sense of disappointment in Leon.
A small gasp falls from your lips as you're suddenly stopped in your tracks, making you turn your head to look at the man and ask what's wrong. Course you get no vocal answer, but Leon still makes it clear when he pulls you back to him for his other hand to latch onto your hip and make you sit down in his lap. Others. Strangers he doesn't like touching his face.
"I know you don't like other's touching your face. Thought you might feel more comfortable working on it alone." You explain in that tone that's always so soft around him, as you throw away the blood soaked trash before turning to exit the bathroom. Knowing he hardly takes his mask off unless he's alone or extremely tired. That's when Leon's brows furrow as he moves into action, letting his hand shoot out to grab your wrist.
You're different.
A shy smile graces your lips, just as your heart decides to leap around in your chest. Meanwhile your lungs seem to forget how to provide air for a moment. You manage to stay composed for the most part as Leon keeps a hold on your wrist to guide your hand up and place it against the cheek of his mask. That answer is definitely loud enough.
It takes you a second to get over the small shock, because, over all, the only one allowed to touch that is him. Regardless, you don't pass up the opportunity as you bring your other hand up to grip the edge and carefully peel the mask away from Leon's face, uncertain of what other injuries he could possess.
You would focus on the burn once you set the mask on the floor, but it's such a rare occurrence to fully view his face, so the moments you get to see him, are captivating everytime. Like how long his hair has gotten as the golden strands fall around his shoulders and frame his fierce blue eyes. It's something truly magazine cover worthy, he could definitely be voted as the sexist man alive in a heartbeat.
It's to the point you can't help but admire as you let your fingers part his bangs so you can see him better, "Would you be offended if I got you a haircut at some point? Could make it easier to manage." You muse as you move his hair away to start working on the rest of the wound. Seeing now that the burn took a little of his stubble away before stopping around his cheek, close to the scar that runs through his eye. Said eyes narrow at you just a fraction while his hands press more into the flesh of your hips and actually rub up and down your sides a little. That's new.
Even when he's tired, Leon normally isn't this cuddly. Which lends you the realization of how gentle he's trying to be. It makes your stomach flutter with a strange giddiness as a quiet giggle passes your lips while you apply the same burn ointment near his Adam's apple. "Just an idea, don't worry."
Though Leon will never ever admit it in anyway, it does mean a lot that he views you a little differently than anyone else. Hell if anyone else was this close to him, they would most certainly be dead already. But, again, it's different with you. So if a haircut means feeling your fingers gently touch him like this, he's all for it. He's not even gonna question why he wants it. He just… does.
A few more minutes pass, before the final bandage is placed on his cheek. As well as a couple little kisses- one to his nose, and the other to his lips. Which he actually lets you give to him and even deepens the last one.
Damn it. Maybe it's whatever sweet poison is on his lips, but it's no wonder you don't say anything to anyone. Because you know you'd miss him. You don't let yourself think on it longer, instead you smile brighter with another little giggle at Leon burying his face in your shoulder, his breath coming out faster and heavier from the kiss. "Be careful next time, ok?" You whisper to him.
Your butt receives a soft squeeze in response.

I wish Claire was in more games, she's my lil pookie and it's a shame Capcom underutilises her... She's supposed to be one of the main protags :(
I AGREE.
Leon and Claire are on equals term when it comes to their level of protagosnism and capcom should act on this! But Claire's exposition is far less frequent.
Games: RE2, Code:VERONICA, Revelations 2,
Movies: Degeneration, Infinite Darkness, Death Island.
Meanwhile Leon:
RE2, RE4, RE6.
Movies: Degeneration, Damnation, Vendetta, Infinite Darkness, Death Island.
Claire's main protagosnism in the games is on spin-offs and that is BS. I'll never forgive Capcom for not continuing their original project of having Claire to be Leon's partner in RE6. That would be so damn fucking cool!
But honestly, I think we could address the big elephant in the room, too... Jill is our Claire from the main-main-cast. Look how Capcom treats her compared to fucking CHRIS?
Chris has RE1, RE5, RE6, RE7, RE8, RE:Revelations 1, Vendetta, Death Island, probably RE9 AGAIN! (Really, from RE5 up to 8)
Meanwhile, Jill:
Jill: Re1,Re3, RE:Revelations, Death Island.
MY GOD. POOR WOMAN!

My ramblings on RE: Death Island
Y'all RE: Death Island opened in PH cinemas today and here are my thoughts on some of the scenes. Leaks have been going around on TW since this morning, so I'm dividing my ramblings into four sections.
WARNING: HEAVY SPOILERS AHEAD
Can confirm:
-Definitely Jill's time to shine. Everyone was like..."If there's Jill, there's hope..."
Tumblr media
-She even has a big ass plasma rifle scene (probably a tribute to re3r)
-Movie more or less confirms that Jill has met Leon and Claire before. Their first scenes with Jill were like "hey, how's it going?" situations.
-Chris and Claire sibling interactions! We haven't been blessed with those since Code Veronica, nice.
Want to clear out:
-Pertaining to an early leak which caused quite a ruckus on TW: Maria was climbing over Leon like a koala to a tree during their fight scenes, but never once did he flirt with her or anyone else for that matter. He even called Maria "Arias' bitch" who could finally be with her Dad again after she died by Leon's hands. Kinda brutal coming from Leon if you ask me.
-This Leon came in with a luggage-ful of cringey but kinda funny one-liners. He reminds me of Damnation!Leon and I didn't sense any undertones of depression in him! Though he still hates his job (he refers to it as just a "living"), Leon seems to be in a much better place this time around. This scene literally happened:
Leon blurts out a one liner
Jill musters up an Oscar-worthy "Ugh...really?" reaction
Jill, probably:
Tumblr media
Want to add:
-Movie was about how people respond to trauma differently. Dylan practically experienced the same sh*t as the main cast in RC, but he had chosen to side with the villains.
-Really nice to see this new model of Leon in action, doing re4r-esque stunts. That was kinda missing in ID, tbh. Also Leon and bikes look hot together, but can never be good news.
Tumblr media
-Other character relationships in a nutshell, for those who are interested.
Jill and Leon -> This was definitely their buddy cop movie. I know people like to bully Leon for being "dumb" or for whatever reason, but Jill clearly respects his skills the same way Leon respects hers.
Jill and Chris -> Movie makes it clear that Chris absolutely cares about Jill. You can interpret it as both platonic and romantic (not very much so on the latter, though). I love Chris' "Welcome back!" line to Jill in the end and their little fist bump.
Chris and Leon -> I'd say they're like old co-workers who definitely know how to defeat BOWs. That's about it. They are mostly in action scenes together, with very little dialogue.
Rebecca and Claire -> Had great moments of nerdiness together (I mean that in an affectionate way), but very few action scenes compared to the other 3 mains.
Can't say much about the other character combos, tbh. There was no mention of the ID conflict bet Leon and Claire. They have very little interactions in the film, probably less than a min. of dialogue? Just Leon saying Claire's name when they saw each other for the first time in the film (not even sure if that was Chris or him even), and then a scene where he ordered her and Rebecca to go mess around with the computers (ala ID).
-That character with a special mention in the early leaks -> It was Chris talking about Piers from re6. Unfortunately, there were no surprise appearances from other fan-fave characters.
-The ending was your classic "heroes staring into the sunset after one hella fight" cliche, but t'was nice nonetheless haha
Overall:
It's everything you expect from a Resident Evil movie. Campy and with a weak plot, but gets redeemed by featuring a sh*t ton of welcome fan service (both good and bad). I like it better than Vendetta.
Tumblr media
Supposedly a 10/10, but that licker scene was a disservice to Jill, so 9/10.

Are you familiar with demon slayer and the AC JPN dubbing , if you do. Then be prepared for this. The demon slayer voice casting has 6 VAs who does the voices of the AC protagonists
Altair & Uzui
Ezio & Sanemi
Connor & haganezuka
Arno & tanjiro’s dad
Jacob & enmu
Bayek & yahaba “arrow demon”
Aya & Daki
Imagine them meeting the voice counter parts
Oh, yeah, I’m a bit familiar with the Japanese dub of Assassin’s Creed and I watch Demon Slayer when it’s airing in Japan then I rewatch it in the English dub because I enjoy watching English dubs in general XD.
Before anything…
Imma list the names of their JP voices and a few other characters they voice. (And I will be focusing on the ones listed by @ullyaboo because… well… this would get too long if I start listing everybody...)
Altaïr is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Sombron/Hubert/Xander/Randal from Fire Emblem, @princesslikesfanfics might recognize him as Tory Innis from Ancient Magus’ Bride, Diavolo from Jojo, Lloyd Irving from Tales series, America/Canada from Hetalia, and mecha fans might recognize him as our bestest aniki Kamina)
No, seriously.
Can we just take a moment to think about how Altaïr’s JP voice also voiced these characters as well:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, shoutout to him being the voice of the dead big brother of my Trails blorbo XD
Ezio is voiced by Tomokazu Seki
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(HE VOICED MIGUEL O’HARA IN THE JP DUB OF ATSV, oh and Toad in the Mario movie, Jojo fans will probably find it funny that he voices Father Pucci and his stand, Panda from JJK, Gilgamesh from Fates, mecha fans would remember his “SHINING FISTS” as Domon Kasshu, he’s also Toya in Cardcaptor Sakura, and Van Fanel of Vision of Escaflowne (one of the earliest isekai anime))
Ratonhnhaké:ton is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Lindel from Ancient Magus’ Bride, Anasui AND Giogio from Jojo, Yamato from Digimon, Persona 4’s MC, the jp voice of Sekiro from… well… Sekiro, Richard from Tales series, Italy from Hetalia, and Lupin the 3rd’s Goemon)
This deserves to be seen: Ratonhnhaké:ton’s JP Voice also voices Oikawa (Haikyuu) and Italy (Hetalia - also Romano) (this means that Ratonhnhaké:ton sang the Hetalia ending song)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he’s the JP voice of Jake Muller, Wesker’s kid in RE6.
Arno is voiced by Shinichiro Miki
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(ROY MUSTANG from FMA, Randy Orlando from Trails, Sir Nighteye from BNHA/MHA, James from Pokemon, Alucard from Castlevania, Lockon Stratos (*haro voice* Lockon, Lockon, Lockon, incoherent sobbing) from Gundam, Hijikata from Hakuoki)
(side note: Elise’s JP voice is Toyoguchi Megumi who voices Rengoku’s mother and I don’t want to mess up Tanjiro’s family but… half-brothers Tanjiro and Rengoku AU???)
Jacob is voiced by Daisuke Hirakawa
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Kakyoin from Jojo, Cao Lee and Rufus Albarea from Trails, Rei from Free, Makoto Ito from School Days (lollol, at least Jacob doesn't have the worst love life in this list), and Orlando Bloom in Kingdom Hearts games XD)
Bayek is voiced by Jun Fukuyama (JP voices of Origin (and Valhalla) weren't in Behind the Voice Actor so I had to doublecheck with JP wiki XD)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Persona 5’s MC, Lelouch Vi Brittania/Zero from Code Geass, Yukio from Blue Exorcist, Korosensei from Assassination Classroom, Maximilian from Valkyria Chronicles, Watanuki from xxxHolic)
Aya is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(female Robin from Fire Emblem, Milla Maxwell from Tales, Katalina from GBF, Elizabeth from Persona, Jolyn Cujoh from Jojo, Shinku in Rozen Maiden, Franziska von Karma in Ace Attorney, Celty from Durarara!!, Touko from Danganronpa)
Now…
For the actual ask portion:
Altaïr would probably be annoyed at Uzui at first because he’s so flashy. They’d probably spar and Altaïr would start to respect him after understanding that, underneath all that ‘flashiness’, Uzui is strong and has conviction (side note: Uzui’s three wives makes me think Makio - Maria, Hinatsuru - Adha and Suma - Kadar XD)
Ezio would think of Sanemi as having skills and potential but he won’t like his attitude. AC2!Ezio would definitely butt heads with Sanemi a lot, especially after he sees how Sanemi acts around his younger brother (since he doesn’t know the whole story) and he’d definitely try to act like a nice big brother to Genya, Brotherhood!Ezio and Revelations!Ezio would not be provoked by Sanemi and act more like an older brother/mentor role that Sanemi doesn’t want at all and thinks is super annoying.
Haganezuka would totally like Ratonhnhaké:ton because Ratonhnhaké:ton would take care of any weapon he receives from Haganezuka. Ratonhnhaké:ton will also be willing to listen to Haganezuka talk about swords for houurrrss. Achilles would have to be the one to smack Haganezuka to get out of the homestead after giving Ratonhnhaké:ton his sword. (Why is Achilles there? Idk, crossover???)
All I can think of is Arno getting adopted by the Kamado family. Tanjuro is quite frail and he’s been sick for a while now so their meeting would probably remind Arno of his late father. But, man, just imagine Arno dancing Hinokami Kagura…
Oh god. Enmu would totally fuck with Jacob using his dreams/nightmares. Like, every pain and weakness Jacob has, Enmu would take advantage of it. Worst of all? Jack the Ripper's actions would definitely haunt Jacob till the day he dies so Enmu using Jack in the attack would really hurt. Enmu wasn’t even a good person as a human but considering Jacob’s luck and bad judge of character? Absolutely won’t be surprised if he invites human!Enmu to the Rooks as a ‘doctor’.
I think Bayek has a good chance of taking out Yahaba. Dude got an actual flaming sword in the main story and I’m sure Reda would have a weapon made of Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Ore for some reason and, as long as Bayek understood how Yahaba’s blood demon art works, he’d be fine. Bayek took out giant gods (in the Animus), he can take out this demon.
Oh, Aya would not like Daki at all. She might even be reminded of Cleopatra a bit because of her arrogant and dismissive personality which wouldn’t help the situation. They’d definitely fight and… Aya would probably need help on this one. I’m not sure if she ever got into any Isu BS that ended in a boss fight so I can’t be sure how she would handle fighting Daki and her obi attacks. Human!Daki though? Aya would definitely recruit her and her brother to the Hidden Ones if she found them as kids. But if she saw her as her usual cruel self? Yeah, Aya’s not going to like her.
If anyone wants an actual Demon Slayer x AC crossover idea, let me know?

it's been a while since i've posted this, so let me go ahead and do it again
this is the resident evil order of canon operations, in order of most canon to least canon:
numbered game titles. numbered titles ALWAYS have the final say on any information or bit of lore. in instances where numbered titles contradict each other, the newest title wins out (so, sherry was 10 in RE2 despite her being listed as 12 in the RE2 manual because RE6 said she was 10)
non-numbered titles starring the main cast. this includes your revelations and chronicles games
CGI movies. degeneration, infinite darkness, damnation, vendetta, death island
other spinoff games starring spinoff characters. this is your gun survivor and your dead aim and your outbreaks, etc etc
everything else is non-canon and should be ignored
as long as you follow this order of operations, it is very easy to understand this series's story and lore.
this is the full story* in chronological order:
resident evil 0 resident evil resident evil 2 resident evil 3 umbrella chronicles (new campaigns only) resident evil code veronica darkside chronicles (new campaigns only) resident evil 4 degeneration infinite darkness revelations resident evil 5 damnation revelations 2 resident evil 6 vendetta death island resident evil 7 resident evil 8/village
and DLCs go where the DLCs go; the games they're attached to will make it very clear.
*this is just the OG timeline.
the remake timeline is:
resident evil remake resident evil 2 remake resident evil 3 remake resident evil 4 remake
and then it STOPS. there is NOTHING BEYOND RE4make at the moment of writing. RE4make is the most recent canon point in the remake timeline. RE4make does not lead into degeneration and beyond. RE4make is the end.

Just a few things as a brief:
- This takes place in 2021 as reference so it is canon compliant up until DI (Death Island) then I take my own liberties. - I do mention canon lore pulled from the games (RE: Darkside Chronicles, RE2R, RE4R and RE6), movies (Damnation, Vendetta, and Death Island) and the novelizations (Damnation and Vendetta). - Tags will be updated as chapters are added (don’t want to spoil anything).
I want to thank @highball66 for his insightful analyses of RE lore as it was a fantastic resource in crafting a Leon characterization that is faithful to the canon lore.
Chapter 1: When Your Steady Hand Becomes A Liability
Leon knew that eventually it was all going to end.
He didn’t know the when, or even the how but he knew it would be bloody. And for what it’s worth, he deserved it.
He exhaled, a palm glued to the sticky viscera that congealed against his flesh where the wound continued to hemorrhage. His back laid flush against the dirt covered tile as he tried to stabilize his breathing, a subtle hint of panic starting to rise in his chest.
His body hurt. It had for some time now. There’s only so many broken bones and split flesh a body can take before it starts to break down and he was going on close to 24 years of this.
And if his body was ready, his mind must have been desperate. It was screaming out for him to just stop.
In an effort to shut it all out, he gazed absently at the ceiling, the twisted mess of old wires and flickering lights providing just enough of a distraction to the pain that bloomed in his gut.
The soft click of heels was registered distantly before it became all consuming when the shadowed form was cast over him, the glint of silvered metal raised to point its deadly barrel at his face.
Leon closes his eyes, a prayer long since forgotten to the passage of time suddenly recited under his breath, a last ditch attempt at salvation.
He hears the air shift and winces, ready to accept heaven or hell.
—-
Leon stares down the muzzle of the gun held in front of him, aim steady and directed between his eyes. His gaze flits to the bearer, blood running down his nose and smeared across his upper lip. He smirks at his work.
For his insubordination, a jolt of electricity runs through his flank and he crumbles to the ground, teeth gritting to trap the grunt that follows within his throat. Two guards handle him roughly, tossing his body against the metal frame of the bed, its thin mattress barely offering enough of a cushion as the back of his head makes contact.
The injured guard huffs a laugh, wiping the back of his hand across his face, smearing more of his blood in a grotesque display before grinning widely, the combination of red and stark white making him look like a cartoonish villain.
Unable to stop using his crutch to resort to self-deprecating humor, Leon asks dryly, “Did I do something wrong?”
He doesn’t get a response. At least not a verbal one. The same guard he’d assaulted earlier lands a kick square to Leon’s chest, knocking the wind straight out of him and pulling at stitches when he exhales suddenly. One of the other guards yells and grabs the assailant by the collar, tugging him out of the room.
The door is slammed shut and audibly locked, a loud buzzing sound jostling his eardrums.
Once he finds his breath again and the pain subsides, Leon looks around. The walls are white and bare, heightened only by the harsh fluorescent lighting overhead. It burns his eyes to look at.
There’s little furnishing, save for a bed, sink and toilet, all bolted to the concrete floor. What looks to be a fold-down table is affixed to the far wall but there isn’t a chair in sight so Leon finds it useless.
As cages go, this one isn’t too bad. He’d definitely spent more time in a lot less and this one was at the very least much cleaner.
He shifts to stand, balancing his body weight awkwardly due to the restraints on his wrists. Once he’s upright, curiosity gets the better of him and he makes his way to the far wall to examine the scrap of metal hinged against the plaster.
Leon places a finger against the cool surface and applies pressure, deeply regretting the sharp screech that comes from the stiff hinges when he does. He pulls back and the metal slams into the wall, adding another set of unpleasant sounds to assault his senses.
He decides to instead pace the small room to pass the time, unintentionally measuring it in passing, 7 feet by 10 feet.
After a while, he gets tired so he sits on the mattress, the coils uncomfortably present against his body. About an hour later, a metal tray is slid through a hatch at the bottom of the door and Leon eyes it cautiously.
It consists of bland, practically tasteless slop but luckily, Leon had become quite accustomed to eating particularly heinous things in order to survive but he’s not all that hungry at the moment so he leaves it on the floor.
The last thing to alert him to any time passing is when the lights unceremoniously shut off and he’s plunged into an all consuming darkness.
He sighs and tries to get comfortable on the mattress, his restrained wrists awkwardly placed on his chest in a way that constricts his ribcage but it’s the only position that doesn’t send his nerves into a hyperactive spasm so he relents, eventually lulled to sleep by the sound of complete silence.

Leon finds himself in a new room.
Same white walls and cool gray furnishings. He’s seated at a table, its metal legs bolted to the ground. The cuffs around his wrists dig uncomfortably into his skin and he tries to rise but is quickly halted by two hands, pressed down on his shoulders from behind.
The door opens and a man walks in, an additional pair of armed guards stationed at the entrance before the door closes and Leon watches his form move towards the table.
Leon leans forward, attempting to brush off the unwarranted touch as the man sits in front of him. He sighs heavily when the stranger places a folder on the table and opens it to reveal a thick stack of papers, a good portion of the first page redacted.
“Interrogation time?” Leon inquires, entirely used to this game by now.
The man, a tall, spindly looking gentlemen with dark hair and even darker eyes quirks his head, thick stubble peppered with flecks of silver accent the jut of his jaw as he shakes his head, “I’d rather talk about you, Leon.”
“Talk?” Leon retorts, brow furrowed, “yeah, listen buddy. I’ve been through this before and it’d just be easier get this over quick, so…”
“It’s really not that complicated.”
“What are you, my therapist?”
“I can be.”
Leon shifts in his seat and diverts his gaze, stifling a laugh. He returns it back to the man when he hears him clear his throat expectantly, eyes narrowed as he challenges, “Who are you?”
He smiles, offering, “A doctor.”
Leon huffs.
“What, no name?” he starts, annoyed. “You’re so interested to know me, you won’t allow me to know anything about you?”
“My name is irrelevant.”
Leon eyes him suspiciously. The man doesn’t seem much older than him, maybe a few years but the silver that lightly peppers his beard made him look older. His eyes appear kind, faint lines visible enough to know they’d crinkled with genuine happiness at one time but he can sense something lurking behind them. Something he doesn’t trust.
The man pulls a pen from his coat pocket, clicking it before flipping the first page of the stack of papers over. He jots something down then raises his head. “You’ve been here for a week now, how are you holding up?”
“It’s been a great vacation,” Leon replies sarcastically before raising an eyebrow for effect, “the food could improve though.”
The doctor’s eyes narrow, clearly unimpressed with the response. “I read in your file that you like to avoid questions.”
Leon smirks, a playful wink accompanying the tilt of his head, “Sounds like you know me already. Now, are we done?”
“How does that make you feel?”
“What?”
The man pauses before repeating himself and Leon feels heat rise up in his chest at the audacity of the question.
“Are you seriously concerned with how I feel?!” Leon scoffs, anger dripping from every word. “After everything the government has put me through, nowyou’re concerned about my wellbeing?”
“We’re offering you a chance to prove you’re still of value.”
“And there it is,” Leon concludes, “fuck, you guys are a tough crowd. Thought I’d proved that already. Is 23 years of unquestioned servitude not enough for you people?”
The man tilts his head slightly. “Was it really unquestioned?”
“I never had a choice.” Leon retorts.
“You always had a choice.” he snaps back, the tone suddenly cold, his dark eyes unwavering and it made Leon seethe with the implications. “You chose to survive, don’t blame us for the fallout.”
Leon decides not to answer his next few questions purely out of spite. He rests his hands in his lap and casts his gaze down below the table, absently tracing the pitted texture of the concrete floor.
He half hears his name but he doesn’t respond, choosing to tune the doctor out entirely after a while. It’s only when he’s physically jostled out of his own mind space that he finally acknowledges something other than the floor.
“Do you know why you’re here?”
Leon sighs. “What do I have to tell you in order to go back to the cell?”
“You only need to answer my questions.”
He shifts back in his chair and straightens, bringing his arms up to rest on the table, finally conceding, “Fine.”
The doctor matches his posture, shifting through a few pages in the folder before flipping about a quarter of the stack aside. “You failed your last mission and had to be extracted… care to share why?”
“Not really.”
“Leon.” It’s a warning.
He casts his gaze down again, closing his eyes briefly before responding, “I lost the sample I was tasked to retrieve and got hurt, happy?”
“A sample of the new virus?”
“Yes.”
The man jots something down, bringing up a hand to curl an index and thumb against his chin in silent thought. He hums to himself before interjecting. “Did you lose it or was it taken from you?”
Leon gives him a look.
He drops his hand to rest on the table and tilts his head when Leon doesn’t respond fast enough, offering, “perhaps by someone you know?”
If he could cross his arms, he would but the restraints make that impossible so Leon settles with furrowing his brow and diverting his gaze again. “I’m not talking about her…” he mutters.
“That’s alright,” the doctor says gently, “we don’t have to talk about Ada Wong. We can talk about the second reason you’re here.”
That catches him off guard as Leon was pretty sure the mission fuck-up was the only reason he was being reprimanded.
“Huh?”
“As you know, our analysts have provided the intel needed for you to be highly successful in your missions, which you have been. That’s not a question here but there have been some documented discrepancies throughout the years…” he straightens and puts down the pen as he looks pointedly at Leon, “it seems that some highly sensitive intel ended up in the hands of the B.S.A.A., any insight on how that happened?”
There’s a knowing glance made in his direction and Leon holds back a laugh because it was ludicrous seeing as they were both fighting the same fight. Who the fuck cares as long as the end result is met?
The doctor continues, unfazed by his reaction, “Have you been sharing state secrets?”
Leon shrugs, knowing it doesn’t matter what he says anymore so he might as well play along, “I considered it a mutually beneficial relationship.”
“Knowing our stance and position with the U.N., that action alone is grounds enough to sign your death warrant.”
Leon rolls his eyes, tilting his head back dramatically before responding, “then why keep me here? If you’ve already made up your mind, then get on with it.”
“We’re only stalling,” the man counters before smiling, a small, lopsided grin as he brings his pen up to point towards Leon’s forehead, “because of what lies in there.”
Leon laughs then, the tone far more sarcastic than of genuine humor, “Can’t say I’m much of an intellectual, doc.”
“I think you underestimate yourself.”
The man reaches into his coat pocket again and pulls out a small rectangular device, cold and clinical, with a blunt, red plastic tip. His thumb finds the button on its front and the harsh beep overloads his senses.
One of the guards rounds to his side and he realizes too late why when his cuffed wrists are held down against the cold metal of the table, his inner forearms facing upward. The device is hovered over his right arm where calm, even beeping echoes as it’s dragged through the air above the skin.
When the pace of the sounds remained unchanged, the man moves to his left arm, stopping right above the notch of his elbow when the beeping suddenly morphs into a high-pitched screech.
Leon pulls back instinctively when the guard presses his strength against the limb. He thrashes in his seat and the second guard pins him back against the chair when the doctor starts digging into flesh with a recently unsheathed pocket knife.
The source of his search is deep, about three inches beneath his skin and Leon grinds his teeth to avoid screaming out. The steel feels hot within the muscle, tearing painfully through the fascia. When the doctor is satisfied he’s dug deep enough, he replaces the blade with a fingertip and aimlessly digs out a small pill-sized contraption.
He drops the bloodied gadget on the table and Leon immediately identifies it as a tracker, its tiny green light peeking through viscous crimson.
“Now, where were we?” he asks, the phrase mentioned so casually like he hadn’t just performed impromptu surgery and threatened his life minutes before.
Leon looks at him in disgust, his upper lip quirked in annoyance as he watches him place the blade atop the table, mere inches away, still slicked with his blood. The doctor returns to his notes, humming lightly.
“It was a mistake.”
“What is?” he asks.
“Not bolting my restraints to the table.” Leon responds, gaze trained on the line of the blade, “what makes you think I won’t grab that knife and kill you all? You’ve read my file, you know what I’m capable of.”
“I do know what you’re capable of and I also know you won’t.” The doctor counters coolly, “Sherry may be an adult now, but she’s still under our protection, not to mention, we have eyes on the others you’ve so fondly gotten close to over the years.”
Leon stiffens and the man smiles, clearly amused that the threat still works after all these years, “Now then, can we continue?”
“What do you want from me?”
“You’re our top agent. Been on countless missions, right?” he presses before pausing, “like you said, I’ve seen your records, you tested high in both memory retention and cognition. I’d say, you have a hard time forgetting things, hmm?”
Understatement of the century, he thinks.
Leon only glares at him and the man clicks his pen before jotting another foreign note on the paper in front of him.
When he returns his attention back to Leon, his next words cause a chill to run up his spine that wasn’t caused by the frigid cold of the air in the small room, “My superiors think you’re no longer useful but I’d argue against that. Something tells me you’re still a wealth of knowledge. We just have to pick it clean.”
Leon barely has time to respond when he’s flung face forward against the table, his jaw cracking loudly against the cold metal. Both guards have him pinned down and he kicks frantically at the bolted legs of his chair. A hot, searing pain grips at the back of his neck as a needle is inserted and he spews vitriolic curses in retaliation.
After a few dizzying seconds, he’s released. His bound hands try to reach for the source of the injection but it’s an odd angle and he never reaches. Leon raises his murderous gaze to the doctor as he hisses, “What the fuck did you inject me with?”
The man only looks at Leon with an apathetic stare, offering up a half-hearted shrug before collecting his papers and rising from his seat. The guards follow closely behind and Leon is left alone in the room, bleeding from the arm and without answers, just an active imagination and panic that starts whirring into hyperdrive.
The knife is still left on the table.
