A fruit bat's ode to the night

The night is....

Peaceful....Tranquil...

I pirouette under the moon

The bullfrogs sing ...

the crickets croon...

The night she speaks as a dance

A timeless embrace a blissful romance

A sweet soiree

A raspberry yogurt parfait

A far better thing than the fury of Day

Ever do my little feet pitter patter

Skip gallop and run

I am free and nothing matters

I wish I could turn off the sun

I feel full of flight

Effortless light

Wings with fur not feathers

The world is my playground

I am a tiny bat

Now and forever

I bathe in dew to beat the heat

I hang by my tiny feet

I seek a food that is ethical and kind

I've got berries on my mind

Nature's candy grows on trees

As sweet sands waft from saltwater taffy seas

I dance, I drift, I do ballet

Spirits uplift until the day

When I return to my little cave by the sea

And snuggle with my colony

A tiny bat will I always be

And that's okay, okay for me

i think smth that goes a long way in making a fictional setting believable ot immersive is tasty food

#in gog whenever theyre like. 'and then at the tree they had some delicious roasted bat wings and tarts and milkberry tea and #insect jelly for dessert. yum!!!' im like. oughhh fuck that sounds so good #wish i was an owl.#*goes to prepare a cup of raspberry tea and put lots of cream in it and pretend its what they would have had*#but like for realsies i think food is like a Unifying Concept. everything has to eat you know? and theres joy to be found in good food. etc #i think warrior cats kind of stumbles on this since its like. they ate the mouse. the end. rather than doing anything interesting with how #clan cats might prepare their food or something like that #or even describe how good the food is or anything. i cant remember the last time a character mentioned having a favorite meat in wc #generally i think the clans should have more holidays and games and fun stuff. those poor cats just patrol 24/7 #tldr i love guardians of gahoole ok.
