Anything for you - Aaron Hotchner
Tumblr media
You put yourself in danger and Hotch gets worried.
word count: 1433
----------------------------------------------------------
You and Spencer had been sent on a case together with Child Protection Services. They were stuck in a room with what felt like a cult, worshipping this man - Cyrus - a man who was married to a 15 year old girl. While you hadn't given away that you were FBI Agents, they somehow got the idea that one of you were. You and Spencer were separated from the rest of the cult and approached by Cyrus and another one of his men.
"Which one of you is the FBI agent?" He asked, his hand resting on his hip, fingers dancing over his gun. You froze, your stomach sinking. You had no idea what was about to happen and you were hoping Spencer would be able to talk you way out of this one and manage to get you out safely.
"Why do you think one of us is an FBI Agent?" You could see the dread in Spencer's eyes too, glancing back at you. You swallowed thickly as Cyrus opened his mouth again.
"God will forgive me for what I must do." He spoke before pulling out his gun and pointing it at Spencer's head. His friend cocked the rifle in his hands and pointed them at your head and for a brief moment you thought you were going to die then and there.
"I--i don't know what you're talking about." Spencer stuttered, shaking his head. Cyrus didn't like that and aggressively pointed the gun at him.
"One of you does. Who is it?" He pressed angrily. You could see the fear in Spencer's eyes; he didn't want anyone to hurt you, but you weren't about to let anyone hurt him.
"Me." You spoke up, your voice quiet. Cyrus turned his head to you slowly and you looked up at him, your eyes meeting briefly before you spoke more confidently. "It's me." Cyrus reached out and grabbed a fistful of you hair, dragged you to your feet and dragging you down the corridor. You let out a series of grunts, trying to fight against him, your heart pounding beneath your ribs. You knew what was about to come, but you couldn't let them hurt Spencer. He was like a brother to you. He dragged you into a room and slammed the door shut, throwing you on the floor before getting in you face, his breath wafting over your cheeks. You stared up at him, too afraid to say anything back to the man,
"I told you not to put me in this position!" He roared in your face, spit splattering on your skin. You flinched away from him, hoping and praying that Spencer and the rest of the team were figuring out a way to save you. He hit you harshly across the face, the slap so loud that your team - who were listening in on the conversation from the bugs they'd planted - could hear it clear as day.
Hotch balled his fists up in frustration, not being able to help, his eyes closed and hand pressing against his forehead, struggling to listen to you getting hurt. Derek winced, his eyes closed. He hated hearing you in pain. Cyrus' knee came in contact with your stomach and you grunted again, winded.
"We gotta go in there." Hotch said, taking his headphones off for a moment, his stomach turning. He hated the idea of you being in danger. He always did everything he could to ensure that you were safe and he hated the fact that he couldn't be there right now to stop the beating you were enduring from the sick man.
"We'd be risking the lives everyone in there." Rossi shook his head, listening with a deep breath. It was a struggle for everyone, nobody knowing what to do other than just stand and listen to you being hurt.
"Get up!" Cyrus dragged you up before immediately punching you with such force that you flew back into the mirror on the wall behind you, the glass shattering and cutting into your skin. Cyrus pressed you into the wall, blood dripping down your face from your nose as he spoke into your ear. "Proverbs 20:30 tells us blows and wounds cleanse away evil." He grabbed the back of her shirt before throwing you into the opposing wall of the small room. Another grunt left your lips as you staggered to your feet, looking up at him with a burning hatred behind your eyes.
"I can take it." You spat out. He let out a low chuckle, cocking his head.
"Oh, you can take it?" He mocked, hitting you again. Rossi frowned, listening to your voice.
"Wait--wait. Listen to what she's saying." He said, the team frowning as you repeated yourself, louder.
"I can take it." You got to your feet.
"She's antagonizing him." Derek said, turning his head to look at Rossi. Rossi shook his head looking at Hotch.
"She's not talking to him." Hotch looked up, wiping his mouth. The worry was evident on his face.
"She's talking to us. She's telling us not to come in." He spoke, his mouth dry. He knew you were strong and you could persevere, but he really didn't want you to be hurt. You were his saving grace.
"Pride comes before the fall." He snarled, continuing to hit you. You didn't even get the chance to fight back, being thrown around. Your body hit the floor, trembling as you tried to hold yourself together. Cyrus stepped away, looking at your blood covered body. You didn't think you would be able to hold out this long. Derek threw his headphones off and Hotch looked to Rossi, visibly worried.
"Tie her up. Put her upstairs." Cyrus said, his friend moving towards your body to drag you upstairs. You just let the man manhandle you; if you fought with him you would end up worse than you already were.
*****
Due to the bug, you had managed to contact one of your teammates who told you when they  were going to raid the place and put a stop to Cyrus at 3am. You hadn't figured out how to get out yet. You had spoken to Jessica's mom but she didn't seem to be on board and left you..... or at least you thought until she came into the room they were holding you in, talking to you in hushed whispers.
"You were right. They're setting the place to blow up. I told Jessie, Cyrus wanted her gather the women and children." She spoke, untying you. You rubbed your wrists, looking out the window, trying to spot anything before turning back to Jessies mom.
"Where is the man I came in with?" You ask. You needed to leave with Spencer. You couldn't lose your brother, not now, not here. She reached back and took your hand, her eyes gentle.
"He's in the chapel with Cyrus. It's 2:45 though. We gotta hurry." She said, tugging you with her.
********
You had successfully escaped the chapel in one piece along with the other members of the cult that was going on there before it had blown up. Your lungs filled with the smoke that was billowing around you. You could barely see what was in front of you, just being able to make out silhouettes of people moving around you. You felt dizzy, having being beaten and then escaping into smoke clouds. You stumbled down a couple stairs, head whipping around, trying to find Hotch. You needed him right now.
You stepped down the remainder of the steps, the smoke dissipating enough that you could decipher faces. You turned to the left and there stood Hotch. The look of worry on his face made you feel sick but before you could register what was going on, your feet were stumbling over to him. You threw your arms around his neck, burying your face in his neck.
"I've got you baby." He held you tight, one arm around your waist, the other tangling in your hair. "I've got you,,, and I ain't letting you go." You could feel his heart hammering in his chest, his anxiety skyrocketing.
"Please don't." You whispered. You looked up at him, hands shifting either side of his neck before moving forwards and pressing your lips again his. He held you face gently, guiding your face closer to his. He kissed you back, his moving slowly against yours as you cherished the moment. He was glad you weren't dead and you were glad to be back in his arms. He pulled away, leaning closer to you ear to whisper to you.
"Anything for you.. My love."

A Gentle Answer Turns Away Wrath
1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. 2 The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, But the mouth of fools gush out folly. 3 The LORD's eyes are everywhere, Keeping watch on the evil and the good. 4 A gentle tongue is a tree of life, But deceit in it crushes the spirit. 5 A fool despises his father's correction, But he who heeds reproof shows prudence. 6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure, But the income of the wicked brings trouble. 7 The lips of the wise spread knowledge; Not so with the heart of fools. 8 The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is his delight. 9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But he loves him who follows after righteousness. 10 There is stern discipline for one who forsakes the way: Whoever hates reproof shall die. 11 She'ol and Avaddon are before the LORD -- How much more then the hearts of the children of men!
12 A scoffer doesn't love to be reproved; He will not go to the wise. 13 A glad heart makes a cheerful face; But an aching heart breaks the spirit. 14 The heart of one who has understanding seeks knowledge, But the mouths of fools feed on folly. 15 All the days of the afflicted are wretched, But one who has a cheerful heart enjoys a continual feast. 16 Better is little, with the fear of the LORD, Than great treasure with trouble. 17 Better is a dinner of herbs, where love is, Than a fattened calf with hatred. 18 A wrathful man stirs up contention, But one who is slow to anger appeases strife. 19 The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, But the path of the upright is a highway. 20 A wise son makes a father glad, But a foolish man despises his mother. 21 Folly is joy to one who is void of wisdom, But a man of understanding keeps his way straight. 22 Where there is no counsel, plans fail; But in a multitude of counselors they are established. 23 Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time! 24 The path of life leads upward for the wise, To keep him from going downward to She'ol.
25 The LORD will uproot the house of the proud, But he will keep the widow's borders intact. 26 The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, But the thoughts of the pure are pleasing. 27 He who is greedy for gain troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live. 28 The heart of the righteous weighs answers, But the mouth of the wicked gushes out evil. 29 The LORD is far from the wicked, But he hears the prayer of the righteous. 30 The light of the eyes rejoices the heart. Good news gives health to the bones. 31 The ear that listens to the reproof lives, And will be at home among the wise. 32 He who refuses correction despises his own soul, But he who listens to reproof gets understanding. 33 The fear of the LORD teaches wisdom. Before honor is humility. — Proverbs 15 | Hebrew Names Version (HNV) The Hebrew Names Version Bible is in the public domain Cross References: Genesis 13:8; Leviticus 7:18; Deuteronomy 19:14; Deuteronomy 32:22; Judges 8:1; 1 Kings 1:12; Nehemiah 2:2; Psalm 59:7; Proverbs 1:2; Proverbs 1:7; Proverbs 1:25; Proverbs 8:21; Proverbs 9:7; Proverbs 10:1; Proverbs 12:14; Proverbs 13:18; Proverbs 16:24; Proverbs 17:1; Proverbs 18:15; Proverbs 22:5; Proverbs 25:25; Ecclesiastes 4:6; Ecclesiastes 7:5; John 9:31; Acts 1:24; Ephesians 5:15; 1 Timothy 6:9; 1 Timothy 6:11; Hebrews 4:13; 1 Peter 3:15; Revelation 2:7

Discovering the Power of God's Word:
A Journey Through Scripture
Introduction: Embark on a captivating journey through the timeless wisdom and power of God's Word as we delve into the pages of Scripture. Join us as we uncover the transformative truths, hidden treasures, and life-changing promises waiting to be revealed in the King James Version of the Bible.
Scripture Passage: Psalm 119:105 (KJV) Cross References: 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 4:12, James 1:22-25
Commentary: In Psalm 119:105, the psalmist declares, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." The Word of God serves as a guiding light, illuminating our way and directing our steps in the midst of darkness and uncertainty.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 affirms the divine inspiration and authority of Scripture, declaring that all Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Hebrews 4:12 describes the Word of God as living and powerful, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It penetrates deep into the innermost recesses of our being, exposing truth and bringing transformation.
James 1:22-25 admonishes believers not only to be hearers of the Word but also doers, for blessed are those who hear the Word and obey it. The Word of God is likened to a mirror, reflecting our true spiritual condition and revealing areas in need of alignment with God's will.
John 15:1-17 - Jesus' teaching on abiding in Him as the vine and bearing fruit.
Colossians 3:12-17 - Paul's exhortation to clothe ourselves with virtues such as kindness, humility, and forgiveness.
Matthew 7:16-20 - Jesus' teaching on recognizing false prophets by their fruits.
Ephesians 5:9 - Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit as being in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.
Matthew 12:33 - Jesus speaks about how a tree is known by its fruit.
James 3:17-18 - James describes the wisdom from above as being pure, peaceable, gentle, and full of good fruits.
Proverbs 11:30 - "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."
Psalm 1:3 - "And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."
Galatians 5:16-26 - The contrast between the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit.
Luke 6:43-45 - Jesus' teaching on how a good tree brings forth good fruit, and an evil tree brings forth evil fruit.
These cross-references provide additional insights and perspectives on the fruit of the Spirit, encouraging further study and reflection on this vital aspect of the Christian life.
Questions:
How does the Word of God guide and illuminate your path in life?
In what ways do you actively engage with Scripture to experience its transformative power?
How can you apply the truths and principles found in God's Word to your everyday life and decision-making?
What steps can you take to deepen your understanding and appreciation of the King James Version of the Bible?
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of your Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Open our hearts and minds to receive the truths and promises contained within its pages, and empower us to live according to your will. May your Word dwell richly in us, guiding, transforming, and renewing us day by day. Amen.

The Devil's greatest tool is distraction. Satan seduces you with distractions that feed your flesh and lead you away from God.
Satans distractions can come in multiple forms. The devil can give you "blessings" such as money, a relationship, etc. that God has not given you because you are not ready and these things can distract you from the Lord.
For Proverbs 20:21 says, "An inheritance claimed too soon will not be blessed at the end."
Satan can also feed into your vices such as alcohol, sex, gossip, immodesty, etc. and you may say "oh well it is not a sin because I do not feel convicted." But the reason you do not feel convicted is because you cannot hear the Lord's voice above feeding the desires of your flesh. An example of this for me was when I practiced witchcraft and told myself "oh it's not a sin because God isn't convicting me." I did not feel convicted because I was serving Satan and not the Lord as a lukewarm Christian. Now when I say "oh I do not feel convicted" because of my relationship with Christ I immediately feel conviction.
Satan can also distract you with realtionships. Bad company corrupts good character and you can become distracted by hanging out with people who do not further your relationship with the Lord. Especially in romantic relationships the most important thing is that you both put the Lord first above each other.
Proverbs 12:26 "The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leaves them astray."
Proverbs 12:30 "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm."
1 John 1:6 "If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth."
Lastly the Devil tells you lies. In the garden he told Eve to eat the fruit so that she would become like God. However Eve was already like God as the Lord made us in his image. Genesis 1:27. The Devil will promise to give you things you already have in the Lord. And he will tell you lies easily debunked in the Bible.
If you're ever wondering whether you are hearing from the devil or God if it is untrue, contradicts the Lord's word, and distracts you from your relationship with Jesus, it is from Satan and our own sin NOT THE LORD.
I pray that everyone who reads this comes out of their sin, wanting to have a relationship with God above everything else. Remove sin, relationships, and lies from their life Lord, and make sure that in everything they do they live a righteous life FOR YOU. For You love them so very much and I want them to experience that love instead of the destruction that comes from Satan's lies. Amen.

WORLD WRESTLING FEDERATION MAGAZINE : OCTOBER 1997
Dude Love… or Delusional?
By Bill Banks
Has Mick Foley finally reversed his 30-plus years of madness?
In terms of any psychiatric evaluation, Mick Foley could be classified as a medical miracle… a human being on the brink of irreversible madness who somehow cured himself without the use of any known medical technology.
The slow backward grinding of the gears in his mind began sometime during those in-depth RAW IS WAR interviews back in June… perhaps the moment Mankind watched a quivering Jim Ross gag for air on the floor of the Titan Television Studio. In a way, that was his little brother of some 20 years earlier under his torture, while his mom was somewhere in the back of his warped mind yelling at him to stop bashing his sibling’s head into the wall. In that moment of utter chaos, some say the mind that no mental ward would touch was being repaired.
In the following weeks, it would take the trained eye of a psychologist to realize that Mankind was slowly reversing from crystal-clear dementia to the roots of his former wrestling persona Cactus Jack. In several subsequent matches, he would begin to stare into space and then spontaneously deliver his once-tokened “BANG-BANG” from his days as the man from Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. It was a sign that “Jimmy” had jarred something loose inside his mind… and now the personalities of Cactus and the Boiler Room Dweller were combined into one human being–although both sides seemed to be at war with the other.
Despite the fact that his grotesque mixture of madness and morbid aggression was welcomed with open arms by the fans, Mick Foley was still in search of someone who would give him the one thing he never had in his life–acceptance. You think he liked going home and turning off the lights because he couldn’t stand looking at himself in the mirror? It as a torture he had gone through all his life… from being shunned by classmates in grade school to the emptiness associated with never getting the chance to show that he could love. However, looking toward Stone Cold Steve Austin for that affection would end up being a damnation–or a saving grace–depending how you looked at it.
For some inexplicable reason, Mankind chose to ignore the warning signs pointing toward trusting in the proverbs of Austin 3:16. In June, when Shawn Michaels’ sabbatical from the squared circle opened the door of opportunity for the Deranged One to plead his case, weeks of politicking lead the Victoria, Texas native to plan the ultimate slap in the face for this “long-haired freak.” On that RAW IS WAR episode in July when Foley confronted his future partner, he was met with a dubious mutual respect by Stone Cold. Just moments later, however, millions would discover those open arms were not Austin helping to exorcise Mankind’s demons; but rather, a butcher welcoming the lamb to slaughter. After finding the very acceptance he had spent a lifetime reaching for, Stone Cold snuffed out the hope like he was squashing a cockroach with his steel-tipped boots.
The Stone Cold Stunner that followed would be the final treatment which Mick Foley would require…
[What followed was truly something out of Homer’s Odyssey… a tale of a misguided soul which had finally found acceptance after years of searching in dark corners.]
After confidently leaving the “freak” in the fetal position on the canvas, Austin 3:16 began his long walk back to the dressing room. Shortly before parting the curtain, however, he was met with a dark voice unlike one that has ever been heard in the Federation. Sure enough, it was Mankind, but what he had to say was far more disturbing than any interview he had ever been a part of. By promising “drastic measures” the following week that would “change the Federation forever”, the former Boiler Room Dweller touched a disturbing nerve in each of the millions watching at home. Prior to this announcement, fans had always listened with a sense of intrigue concerning his ramblings, but this was a far darker side to his personality than anyone had ever witnessed. A sense of fright and urgency filled the stomachs of every spectator, as if he could have snuffed out the entire crowd the following week had he been so inclined.
This announcement would serve as the final bridge to Dude Love… without it, Foley might have been stuck in some kind of limbo between Mankind and Cactus Jack for years to come. Had the in-depth interviews conducted by Jim Ross not taken place, there would never have been the change of gears or the politicking to “Pick Me Steve.” And without the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle–the Stone Cold Stunner–Dude Love might not have existed once more. One action connected to the other, resulting in a total reversal of 30-plus years of insanity seemingly curing themselves. The following week in the final match of the Federation Tag Team Title tournament, the transformation was complete when an image of a tie-dyed “Hip Cat” descended on the San Antonio, Texas fans. Indeed, he had found the means to his end.
What followed was truly something out of Homer’s Odyssey… a tale of a misguided soul which had finally found acceptance after years of searching in dark corners. Out of the locker room walked Dude Love, the lone shred of decency  Mick Foley still held dear to his heart–and the one man he never had the chance to be. Stone Cold, who couldn’t believe what he was witnessing, had no choice but to accept this newfound partner. Several minutes later, “Dude 3:16” was not only a co-holder of the gold but years of pain were finally wiped away when Austin offered his hand as a gesture of respect–this time without opposition. Then gold, the women, the fans and acceptance… indeed, Mrs. Foley’s baby boy had it all.
Or did he?
In one week’s time, millions of fans began jumping on the “Dude Love” bandwagon, as it was enough to overshadow the return of Shawn Michaels and the debut of the Patriot on that RAW IS WAR episode. However, one must wonder whether by participating in the dreams of Mick Foley… could we possibly destroy it? The plight of Mankind to find acceptance was something he never intended to share with millions around the globe. It was HIS dream and in a way, the prostitution of it in the form of T-shirts, banners, posters and internet posts only seems to chip away at the true meaning. Perhaps, like old stars up in the sky, the phenomenon of Dude Love will burn itself out… and the persona of Mankind may be the only escape for Mick Foley once he realizes everyone has become a parody of his lifelong struggle.
Until that star stops shining, a little bit of Dude Love lives in all of us…

A CONTRITE HEART THAT TREMBLES AT HIS WORD
20 I have found my servant David. I have anointed him with my holy oil. 21 I will STEADY him with my hand; with my powerful arm I will make him strong. 22 His ENEMIES WILL NOT DEFEAT HIM, nor will the wicked overpower him. 23 I will BEAT DOWN his adversaries before him and destroy those who hate him. 28 I will LOVE him and be kind to him forever; MY COVENANT WITH HIM WILL NEVER END." Psalm 89:28 (NLT)
God establishes covenant with His beloved.
The text of this teaching talked about the never ending covenant which God had with David and his descendants.
God promises to love him and be kind to him forever. God's love and kindness are never ending.
You also can do what would register you in the Heart of God forever. You can do what others have not done that would trigger His love for you.
God has established different covenants with different people in the past and in the contemporary time.
There are conditions for cutting or establishing a covenant with God.
Someone who has acknowledged Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour would have to pay attention to some of the principles found in the Bible, for God to be moved and established a covenant with him or her. (i) A Believer whom God would potentially establish a covenant with, should be someone who walks in total Obedience to God's instructions. (ii) The submission of such must be uncompromising. (iii) Such should be able to live sacrificially. He or she should be one who is willing to make sacrifices in doing God's Will. (iv) Giving should be part of the person's life. Giving to God; His work, servants, the Needy, and whichever way he or she is prompted or stirred to do it. (v) Such would have to love God with all his or her Heart, soul or mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). The love for God and His Kingdom should take precedence in the heart of such a person (1 King 3:3,4). This love for God and His Kingdom would enable the person to give all; his or her life, and whatever they have (2 Corinthians 8:1-5). (vi) Humility would be the hallmark, a distinctive feature, of the person. God will not establish a covenant with a proud person (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5). (vii) The person would have to be a person who understands the importance of Praise (Hebrews 13:15). Ascribing the glory of his or her success to God. If God knew you would steal, or rob Him of His Glory, He would not allow your lifting. His Glory would He not share with anyone (Isaiah 42:8).
To small or large extent, whatever God will do in someone's life, premises on the condition or the state of the person's Heart towards Him and His Kingdom.
What is going on in your heart determines His works and doings in the affairs of your life.
Another important thing that cannot be put aside is, what you do about His Word. a. Are you indifferent to His Word? (Zechariah 7:13). b. If you realized that you have missed it, how do you feel about it in your Heart—Are you remorseful? (2 Samuel 12:13; 24:10). c. Do you tremble at His Word or despise it? (Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 57:15). d. Do you trivialize His commands or instructions? (Proverbs 1:28,29). e. Do you reverence Him wholeheartedly? (Deuteronomy 10:12; 30:6; Psalm 119:11).
"MY hands have made both heaven and EARTH; THEY and everything in them are MINE. I, THE LORD, HAVE SPOKEN! “I WILL BLESS THOSE WHO HAVE HUMBLE AND CONTRITE HEARTS, WHO TREMBLE AT MY WORD." Isaiah 66:2 (NLT)
"THE LORD IS NEAR to those who HAVE A BROKEN HEART, And SAVES SUCH AS HAVE A CONTRITE SPIRIT." Psalm 34:18 (NKJV)
"THE SACRIFICES of God are A BROKEN SPIRIT, A BROKEN and A CONTRITE [repentant] HEART— These, O God, YOU WILL NOT DESPISE." Psalm 51:17 (NKJV)
God shows mercy to those who had a contrite Heart, who tremble at His Word: 15 FOR He says to Moses, “I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOMEVER I WILL HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOMEVER I WILL HAVE COMPASSION.” 16 SO then IT IS NOT of him who WILLS, NOR of him who RUNS, BUT of God who SHOWS MERCY" (Romans 9:15,16 NKJV).
Someone who is heady, stubborn, might not easily receive His mercy.
Trembling at God's Word makes you a candidate for His mercy and Blessings.
God detests pride, and whoever is proud cannot receive anything from Him.
God, rather, resists or stands on the way of the proud: "AND HE GIVES GRACE GENEROUSLY. As the Scriptures SAY, “GOD OPPOSES THE PROUD BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE"" (James 4:6 NLT). READ: 1 Peter 5:5 a. Pride is when you want to get or have something done in your own way, rather than God's Way. When you are not willing to submit your Will to embrace God's Will. b. Pride is the inability to relegate the self and enthrone God. When you do not give to God, His rightful place in your life. c. Pride is when you are self-centered and strong-willed. When your life is centered on the self, and you are unable to endure because of other people, God, and His Kingdom. d. When nobody matters to you, but only you. The talking about the self, calling attention to the self, wanting to dominate every discussion. e. When you believe that you are always Right, whilst others are wrong. That your opinions are the best and should be considered and accepted.
Humble yourself that you might be exalted: HUMBLE YOURSELVES IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND HE WILL LIFT YOU UP" (James 4:10 NKJV).
You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Whatever is contrary to your health is rebuked in Jesus' name.
What God has not planted in your life, working against your health, is rooted up in Jesus' name. Peace!

Luke 4:14-30 KJV
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in thy country.
24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.
25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
28 And all they in the synagogue, when they heard these things, were filled with wrath,
29 And rose up, and thrust him out of the city, and led him unto the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, that they might cast him down headlong.
30 But he passing through the midst of them went his way,

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart
1 My son, do not forget my law, But let your heart keep my commands; 2 For length of days and long life And peace they will add to you. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, 4 And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. 9 Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine. 11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; 12 For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.
Blessed Is the One Who Finds Wisdom
13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom, And the man who gains understanding; 14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver, And her gain than fine gold. 15 She is more precious than rubies, And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. 16 Length of days is in her right hand, In her left hand riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, And happy are all who retain her. 19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding He established the heavens; 20 By His knowledge the depths were broken up, And clouds drop down the dew. 21 My son, let them not depart from your eyes-- Keep sound wisdom and discretion; 22 So they will be life to your soul And grace to your neck. 23 Then you will walk safely in your way, And your foot will not stumble. 24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; 26 For the Lord will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught. 27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. 28 Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it," When you have it with you. 29 Do not devise evil against your neighbor, For he dwells by you for safety's sake. 30 Do not strive with a man without cause, If he has done you no harm. 31 Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; 32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. 33 The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, But He blesses the home of the just. 34 Surely He scorns the scornful, But gives grace to the humble. 35 The wise shall inherit glory, But shame shall be the legacy of fools. — Proverbs 3 | New King James Version (NKJV) The Holy Bible; New King James Version®.
