When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” —1 Thessalonians 5:16
“In all circumstances part 1: trust in God's character” By Antique Candle Co.:
“Why is it that we most often seek the Lord during the valleys of life? We know from His Word that He wants us to seek Him in every season. During the peaks, with moments of great joy and celebration; during the valleys, in times of worry and uncertainty. Not only does He desire His children to seek Him out, but He calls us to be faithful in all circumstances.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding...” —Proverbs 3:5
Trusting in the Lord's character allows us to find hope in every situation. It's not just about trusting God to get us through the difficult moments, but fully trusting in who He is, which extends to every moment of life.
So what is God's character? Many things. God cannot be compared to anything else in all creation. He created all things. Therefore, there are some attributes of Christ we can and cannot understand. We can't understand being 'unchanging' or 'all-knowing' ourselves because, as we are finite beings, we are neither. However, His Word tells us these truths about Him so that we may trust the characteristics that are unique to God alone. We can see and acknowledge the truth of His character in the Word and in our own lives.
GOD IS UNCHANGING:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” —Hebrews 13:8
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” —James 1:17
GOD IS FAITHFUL:
“...if we are faithless, he remains faithful—for he cannot deny himself.” —2 Timothy 2:13
“The Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever and his faithfulness to all generations.” —Psalm 100:5
GOD IS ALL-KNOWING:
“He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see? He who disciplines the nations, does he not rebuke? He who teaches man knowledge—the Lord—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.” —Psalm 94:9
GOD IS SOVEREIGN:
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” —Romans 11:36
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight.” —Ephesians 1:7-8
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” —Romans 8:28
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” —Matthew 24:14
Place your trust in a God who is unchanging, faithful, all-knowing, sovereign, and so much more. In all circumstances, His character is something that will never fail.”

A peaceful night of rest
Sleep is important, so much that God speaks about it. In the sacred scriptures, God's word emphasizes the significance of restful sleep at night as a gift and necessity for overall well-being. It is written that "In peace, I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety" (Psalm 4:8). This divine promise reminds us of the restorative power of sleep and the divine protection we receive while we rest. As we abide in His presence and surrender our worries and anxieties, we can find comfort and peace in knowing that God watches over us as we sleep. Therefore, let us trust in His provision and find solace in the rest that He graciously grants us each night.

Destroying a Medical Superpower
I was 17 in the late Summer of 1972, and I wanted to marry a nurse. I met her when she woke me up from my hospital bed at 3 AM in the morning. She was checking in on me after a bad concussion (suffered at football practice) placed me in the hospital for three days. I never saw her again. It was my first encounter with a nurse. Nurses have an indispensable function in our healthcare system. I have…

Oops! A Big Mistake!
I saw this headline: “Oops! Buc-ee’s Billboard Goes Viral Due to Embarrassing Spelling Mistake”. Apparently, the billboard reads: “You had me at Hodwy,” misspelling the word “Howdy”. The mistake was first reported by radio announcer Danny Merrell who said the typo was discovered by his wife, an English teacher, on an Interstate 35 billboard. Merrell joked “In the event that HODWY was an…

Are You On Fire?
One of the things my wife and I love to do is sit in front of our fireplace and watch it, during the few days it is cool enough to run in Texas. Although our fireplace is a gas fireplace and does not consume anything other than gas, it is great to watch. When we can, we also love to have an outside firepit to watch and roast marshmallows on. Fire is something that many people love to watch. It…

Cutwork lace from the Magnes Collection at UC Berkeley:
"A textile most likely used as a wall hanging, including Hebrew verses recited in conjunction with the reading of the prayer, "shema' yisrael" before sleep. The verse on the right of the textile includes a textual variant of the incipit of "hashkivenu," ("hashkiveni") the second blessing before the recitation of the "shema'" during the Evening Service. The verse on the left is a biblical quotation: "When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid; yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet." (Proverbs 3:24)."

Proverbs 27:2. “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.” Proverbs 16:24 (NLT). “Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
“Handling Praise” By In Touch Ministries:
“Do you feel awkward when someone compliments you?”
“Think about a time when you received praise from a parent, a teacher, or an employer. How did you feel? Did it make you glad or uncomfortable? For many people, praise is nearly as difficult to handle as criticism. Because God’s Word instructs us to be humble (Matthew 18:4; Philippians 2:3), we may sometimes feel confused about how to receive compliments. Here are three ways to respond:
1. Acknowledge the comment by thanking the person. Don’t explain why you are unworthy of praise or try to deflect such kindness. The Lord is using that person to bless you!
2. Identify and acknowledge the character quality that led the other person to commend you. Perhaps he or she sees something you’ve missed (and that God wants you to be aware of). Remember, believers are called to “encourage one another and build one another up” in the Lord (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
3. Share what the encouragement means to you personally. Scripture says that “pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24). Tell the other person how much you’ve been blessed by his or her attention and care. After all, praise can go both ways.”
Matthew 18:4. “Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”
Philippians 2:3. “Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves;”
[Unless otherwise stated, Bible verses are in the NASB translation.]

Christian Domestic Discipline for Gay Married Couples
Tumblr media
Today we’re discussing an important and exciting topic: setting a Godly foundation in your marriage. It’s completely natural and understandable that, as two men, you might worry about whether or not your marriage is deemed as Godly. But we’re here to tell you that it absolutely can be, and the way to do that is by creating a relationship in which one person is the leader and the other is the follower.
Let us start from what the bible tells us about a godly marriage. In Ephesians 5:22, it reads 'Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord'. This means that there must be a certain hierarchy in the relationship. It is the husband that has the authority and is to be obeyed. In the same way, this concept can be applied to gay couples. One should be the head of the household, and the other the obedient follower.
Introducing Christian Domestic Discipline (CDD) is a way to ensure obedience and submission from the follower. In a marriage, CDD is used to discipline the follower when certain rules are broken. It can range from mild spanking to harsher punishments such as paddling or birching. As it is written in Proverbs 13:24 “Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him”, it is important for the leader to maintain his authority.
When the follower has been disciplined by his husband, he should submit obediently. He is to remember that he is not being punished for no reason. No matter how intense the physical punishment gets, he should take it and never rebel against his husband.
It is also important for the follower to serve his husband in other ways. He should be putting in an effort to keep the house clean and tidy and to help with any tasks that the husband needs help with.
Serving sexually is also essential to a Gay Christian marriage. The follower should always be willing to meet his husband's sexual needs. As it is written in 1 Peter 3:7: “Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers”.
When the follower serves his husband, he serves God and is blessed by God. As it is written in 1 Peter 4:10 Criticizing “For whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength which God supplies–in order that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever”
It is very important for the follower to have a sincere obedience and submission to his husband as it pleases God. As it is written in Ephesians 5:24: “as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing”.
We hope that this article has helped to shed some light on Christian Domestic Discipline and how it fits into a Gay Christian marriage. Having one man as leader and the other as follower is essential to a successful marriage. The follower should accept his punishments obediently, serve his husband sexually, and obey whatever his husband asks of him as it in turn pleases God.
May God bless your marriage and may it be a happy and successful one.
