It emits an amber-hued glow through the light and in Chinese, it is known by the most lyrical moniker – some call it “the tears of peach blossom”. Its nutritional content is as rich as its appearance. It is Peach Gum (桃胶), surfacing on diners’ radar in recent years for the large amount of collagen it contains. Peach gum is the resin from peach and Chinese wild peach trees, already solidified when it is found. As detailed in classical Chinese medical literature, its curative qualities include solving urinal infections, thirst-quenching and relieving stress.

Not only used frequently by doctors of Traditional Chinese Medicine, peach gum is also a natural and healthy food rich in amino acid, which allows collagen to be quickly absorbed into the human body. This makes many people fall in love with it, and many recipes featuring peach gum has been devised since then. Sun wukong inspired Luffy redesign

After learning that he was inspired off the monkey king himself I've been kinda obsessed with this idea, they already have alot of visual similarities but I wanted to try a more directly inspired look

(post-timeskip ver + extra under cut)

I think I like the post-timeskip version more since the cardigan(?) Around his shoulders kinda resembles the OG!swk's cape.

I also really like the idea of Luffy's "pirate king crown" being similar to wukongs since the shape language is very similar to that of gear5.

early 'rabbit run' techno freaking out because 'gary' the rabbit ate something rabbits definitely shouldn't eat and now he's spending hours watching this bunny and coaxing it to drink water and asking phil if there's a vet on the server and phil is like 'that's the most wretched looking rabbit ever m8 no vet would even treat it'.

so… my sister’s friend’s dad… was in japan and he got this bag of candies… he brought them back and gave them to his son who gave them to my sister who gave them to me… i am now in spontaneous possession of fourth-hand foreign candy and i more desire to just stare at these beautiful things endlessly as well as the bag they came in than i do to actually eat them

Sis is preparing to cook White Fungus & Peach Gum Sweet Soup. First, to rehydrate the dried white fungus (Tremella fuciformis) or snow fungus for about 30 minutes. As for the peach gums (桃胶), she soaked them since last night as they are hard as rock. For the dessert itself, beside the two main ingredients stated above, they are dried longans, red dates and goji berries. Add rock sugar and adjust the sweetness to your liking. This dessert can be consumed hot or left to chill in the fridge for a refreshing change.
