Again Queen Can Be Such An Incel

I don’t use the word easily but guy can be such an incel when it comes to women he wants and can’t win over. Seriously, it really sounds like the words lke a genuine incel would say. He even has that nice guy mentality line which he’s anything but. Again this episode did good to illustrate trying to make himself out to be the victim.

Jumping back a bit in time to various scenes over the few days passed over in 1083, so that's the trick of 1084!I love the episode so so so much!

Most, though not all, of the scenes this episode focus on showing the SHs saying their farewells to the people they met and the friends they made in Wano. Due to Carrot's arrival, and following adorable Garchu montage, we don't actually see the Akazaya at the ruins of Oden Castle saying their farewells, maintaining that blank and the mystery of what we don't show from the manga.

Perfect that Carrot is the one who is arriving here. More so with Denjiro and Kiku being the two Carrot pushes past. Those two being the first and last Akazaya we properly meet in Wano. It further supports the reading that Kiku's scenes after the battle are written to be deliberately weird. No-showing the Ryokugyu fight then not having remorse over it or offering an explanation for her absence in particular. That oddity paired with her not having a katana with her in this episode, where Kawamatsu and Denjiro do, makes you wonder if she may no longer be a retainer, and is just wrapping up some final responsibilities in Wano after the battle.

I love Kiku being the one to speak up about Izo, Ashura, and Oden being in their hearts here, before the others say anything. She has a very loving heart. And a mind of her own, being able to make her own decisions and form her own opinions. Which is why I think it's fair to suggest that she doesn't necessarily have to go along with what Denjiro says about rebuilding Wano, if she decides that going with the Straw Hats is what she would like to do instead. They are friends after all. Luffy telling them to not be so formal is great.

Luffy's eyes being covered as Izo and Ashura are mentioned speaks volumes. It is clear that he is deeply affected. Especially with Izo being a crew member of Ace's, and a brother to one of his best samurai buddies. It is very important to Luffy. And Nami, Chopper, and Brook feel that as well.

Hiyori and Toko saying goodbye to Zoro and saying they will miss him, Osome saying goodbye to Sanji and almost asking him something, Luffy and Tama saying their farewells and promising to meet again. Each scene works so well as things Kiku/the Akazaya could have said to Luffy before Carrot's arrival at the grounds where Oden Castle once stood, though those interactions all go to others who got to know the Straw Hats. Again, maintaining that the most of the Akazaya haven't been seen saying farewell to the crew.

I especially like Osome mentioning she wanted to properly thank Sanji for rescuing her, it's sweet and keeps with the parallels scenes about other Wano friends have to Kiku/the Akazaya, as we have yet to see Kiku properly thanking Usopp for his role in rescuing her. Leaves the door open for another similar flashback to those in this episode I feel.

Temari excels at tessenjutsu (metal fan techniques)

She hides it inside her obi (belt)

There's a time when she has to put away her usual big fan as a sign of trust during diplomatic visit

But when there's a sudden attack during the meeting (or betrayal)..

They didn't know that she's NEVER unarmed.

Do you think WHY she always wear an obi?? To keep her tessen.

I'm certain she wear it when she's asleep. She wear it at home.. anywhere.. anytime.. even her wedding dress has obi with it.

Of course kimono will use obi. What I meant.. since I don't know what she wore in her wedding, and if she wore the modern dress instead of traditional one, I BET THERE MUST BE AN OBI WITH IT BECAUSE THAT'S HOW TEMARI WORKS

Kankuro can play "The Seven Roles"

Suna scores 2/5 on population, isn't it? So I think they don't just rely at combat approach, they also rely at disguises for infiltration.

It just happened that Kank is good at this thing

So at first, Kank's puppet disguised as him, but what if the roles swapped? Kank disguised as a puppet instead?

And then he expands it to another different roles, depending on the country

He always use his facepaint during the mission as a shinobi, so nobody knows what his real face actually look like

People there just like: Oh, this guy is just.. a guy. I don't really care anyway.

The reason he's barely doing that is either because: "Puppet is love, puppet is life" or the preparation is such a hassle + it really takes time, he needs his siblings' help to make it faster

But when you ask if he can do that? Yes, yes he can :)

Gaara understanding crabs..

(especially coconut crab like in the way some people refers them as terrifying, monstrous, etc.)

Observing their stoic appearance and behavior, studying them, understanding them, liking them, hyperfixates on them.

Then when he got back from the mission and seeing his cacti collection again, he'll be m.. nostalgic like oh it's been so long, remember when my past self obsessed with them? *proceeds to hyperfixates on cacti again*

I personally like the idea of gaar trying to be friends with the crab. Maybe also with slime molds. Or with any "expressionless" living being.

Oh.. so that's why. That's makes sense actually.

The reason he can get along with plants instead of other kind of animals might be because of Shukaku's chakra. Like the way his chakra scared akamaru the dog. Animals can runaway, but cacti can't. I don't understand how his cacti felt around gaar, but I'm sure they're still alive because gaar taking care of them.

And I still have no idea how the animals would act around him after shukaku's extraction. I want him to be friends with the crabs so much

Was looking at the wiki pages of various minor characters and found this neat bit about Osome.

Her brief story with Queen brings back ideas from Kiku’s encounter with Urashima.

Jack may get the most hate, unfairly from my point of view, though his actions against Zou were far more threatening than anything Queen or King were able to do or almost do. The way he was outmatched by his opponents made them better, rather than Jack worse for me. Ashura, Dog, and Cat are all great.

King is fine, he has a somewhat bland personality which leans a bit too much on lore than solid characterization for me. His hair is nice though Izo’s is nicer.

Queen is an awful and incompetent person. Leaving Udon prison early allowed the alliance to take it over and for Kawamatsu, the Yakuza members, and Kidd’s entire crew to be freed. I think they were all there anyway. Then the dude blew himself up, twice. Epic fail.

He inflicted both allies and foes with diseases, showing an equal lack of care towards both groups, and attacked Osome because she wouldn’t accept his advances. Queen is a creep.
