This VOSS of all species on Ord Mantell / Kessan's Landing whose shop looks like it's selling weapons but actually only thing you can buy is droid repair kits - how did you end up hereI? What is your story?

Once the Martyr was docked, Qymaen turned to the waiting droids and addressed them gruffly. Though his Basic had improved to near fluency, there were still idiosyncrasies in his speech patterns he hadn’t yet managed to smooth out. “You two wait here and stay with the ship. I will later be back for my uniform. Then, we work.”

“Affirmative,” said IG-100-A, inexpressive as was its wont.

“You leave? We guard ship?” clarified IG-100-B. Both units were equipped with identical vocoders and Basic databases, and yet the droids emulated Qymaen’s parlance down to its faults, and often with even less precision. Their impressive programming had taught them to simplify their vocabulary around their master for ease of communication, a detail that both pleased and embarrassed Qymaen.

In the case of these droids, however, clarity was more important than his pride, and he nodded. “Yes. I will call you if I am needing help. Otherwise wait here for my return.”

On his way out of the spaceport, Qymaen slipped a fistful of credits to the docking bay manager to ensure they wouldn’t interfere with the Martyr or ask him invasive questions. He supposed, however, he needn’t have: his appearance had quite the persuasive effect on others, and without sole reliance on his IGBC uniform. Over the past two cycles, thanks to a combination of regular meals and a conscious desire to intimidate, he’d filled out a bit, cutting a more muscular and imposing figure than his reedy frame of yore. That, in conjunction with the new, rather dramatic armorweave cape he flaunted, functioned as well as a deterrent for unwanted attention as a good blaster.
