i'm curious about your thoughts on the whole vertigo/eddie/buddie theories floating around. if you'd like to dm that's fine too! but i'm more of an outsider looking in, although i do like buddie and bucktommy equally :D
Hi Jag! I don't mind!
My perspective is that Tim was inspired by Vertigo. That's it. He was inspired by a cool movie, just like he was inspired by a cool movie with The Poseidon Adventure. Just like In Another Life (6x11) was inspired by It's A Wonderful Life (?). This is not new. 9-1-1 has always taken inspiration from and paid homage to classics. I think people are reading too much into this because, from where I'm standing, the only parallel that can be concretely drawn to the text is "Eddie sees his dead wife in a woman that is, quite literally, nothing like her and he's unwell and obsessive about it."
That's it.
I, personally, don't see any explicit, soon to be textual, "Buddie" connections. I don't think Buck being "cast" as Midge means anything except a little wink nod to Buddie as a concept. I don't even think it was done maliciously tbh. I've already said I don't think anything explicitly romantic with Buddie is happening until 8B at the earliest. So. This is not a particular brand of speculating or clowning that I enjoy and it really feels like the more naive, new, or inexperienced members of the fandom are setting themselves up for frustration and disappointment.
I am not one to rain on anyone's parade and I love to see people have fun, but this is not a theory I am willing to put much weight in!

What if any multi classes are u hoping for/expecting out of fhjy?
okay so! i'll just go around the table cause i've got a few running theories
Fig: i don't expect her to multiclass more than she already is
Gorgug: i think he may lean into Artificer some more, or do a subclass switch for Barbarian. i'm not really sure what would make sense, but there's a few flavour alterations i could see being allowed.
Adaine: frankly i don't see her multiclassing. i know it would be cool if she multiclassed into Barbarian, but i don't think she will. (Reminder that the sword is her elven oracle sword, not an indication that she's absolutely a fighter).
Fabian: already multiclassed and living his best life. no notes, stay perfect my boy
Kristen: the only thing i could see making sense is Paladin. i think it's unlikely, given that Beardsley is dangerous when they multiclass, but it's a possibility.
Riz: i don't really see him multiclassing, tbh. if he does, it'll probably be in relation to his new angelic agent status. i do think a subclass change could be in the works for him (someone had a good theory about it, but i can't remember if it was someone i texted or a post i saw)

So, I wanted to make this as an appreciation post for the fandom. Looking at all the reveals we've gotten in the last few days and seeing how much the world of TIG has expanded so quickly, I've been getting a bit nostalgic.
When I joined this fandom, it was August of 2022, barely a month out from the release date of The Final Gambit, the finale of The Inheritance Games. I found out about TIG at a random bookstore on a road trip and I had immediate interest (the hot tub scene sold me so quick). I was also still somewhat new to Tumblr back then but I wanted to see what the hype was here.
Back then, we were still in the Averyjameson vs Averygrayson era even though I'd say things were cooling down a bit. But, that's not my point. The community was getting ready for this; there were chapter reveals, theories, and oh, it was awesome. I was so happy to be part of it. And some of the people who made it a lively place back then are still here, but unfortunately, some have gone quiet. @averysjameson, @guppyclato, @lesbianator3000, @margolovescoffeeandbooks, and @cherryschaos, thank you for making my days back then. I know you may have moved on, but I thank you for the contribution you made at the time.
The only thing I will not miss is the toxicity that Averyjameson and Averygrayson fans plagued this fandom with and divided us so much. We had a lot back then to still savor, why did we have to do that to sour the tag when this series had so much more to offer than just the romantic subplot? There was a mystery at large and so many other characters to love. We only seemed to agree on hating Emily and the old man. Moving on, let's never do that again and if there is another love triangle, let's try being more mature about it. I know we can. If Gray, Avery, and Jamie moved on, so can we.
When we were told of The Brothers Hawthorne back in October 2022 and given those first chapters for the new book, I was over the moon. We were going to finally see the POVs of two favorites; Grayson and Jameson. I was so excited to see from Jamie's perspective, to get a mystery set in London and for him to solve it with Avery; it was an Averyjameson dream. However, come the actual release of the book and I was honestly so disappointed. I'm not sure why it didn't hit the levels it should have but I already said my piece on that and while I still have some disdain for that story, I look fondly at the parts I did love. And funny enough, I told myself Grayson's story will just have to do only because I was feeling sour over Jameson's plot. But low and behold, I loved it! It was deep, funny, interesting, and held my attention as if I was in TIG all over again and it hit more high notes than Jameson's. I may attribute that to the familial connections we see displayed there but it felt more rewarding and even if JLB still had more for Grayson's development, that didn't mean Jameson had to suffer for it. However, I'm hoping that this story here was a fluke and I'm putting my best foot forward in believing that maybe reading Averyjameson through Avery's POV again in Games Untold will give back that familiar feeling I've been missing for two years. I never said I wouldn't try again.
Now, we've entered a new era and this is a third for me; The Grandest Game and Games Untold. During this period, I met @hathorneheiress, my fanfic bestie, and a lot of my current supporters have been with me since TBH. I thank you very much for sticking with me by liking, reblogging, and commenting on my posts. You make my day in the same way I assume my content makes yours. I haven't said that enough and I don't think it will ever be. I'm happy that we're all still here now and going into this new unknown with our theories, headcanons, new characters, and plots. I'm sure it will be a blast. Thank you for giving me that feeling again these last few days; it felt like being with Avery and the gang, running through the House, finding another clue, waiting in anticipation what it reveals.
I hope that this next series is everything we hope for it to be, a new start for Gray, a chance to bond with the new characters we met in The Brothers Hawthorne, and an opportunity to make it feel like the hay days of the first book. I hope that Games Untold lets us relish that feeling with the original cast, to relive the good old days, to meet up with some old friends we haven't seen in a while, and to have that final hurrah that leaves us on the highest of highs in the best way possible. Maybe it'll make it easier to say goodbye to the ways it used to be and embrace the new storytellers but of course, with the way JLB leaves us hanging with every story she gives, who is to say that'll be it?
Thank you to everyone who makes theories, headcanons, fanfics, fanart, and so many other things that leave us wanting more. Thank you to everyone who showers that content with support in the form of likes, comments, and reblogs. Thank you to everyone who has been here from the beginning, in the middle, and now. You all made this a special place. Thank you to everyone who made this community that way and continue to do so every day. I'm happy to be a small part of that. See you in the next post.

So, for starters, a full clip scene of Darius and Ben and omg I totally see the darker elements that the creators were talking about. I was so not expecting the dinosaur to jump through the window like that. Very CC S3-esque. What's this about a call, make that a prank call? That Ben didn't make apparently? The drama... And it definitely seems like there's some tension between Ben and Darius. What's going on with them? At the moment I don't have any coherent theories about this, and tbh I just want to see how it plays out. The animation is amazing and so is the attention paid to the background, there's so much detail. One thing I noticed in the background was a calendar and I'm wondering if it has importance.
Tumblr media
This is what I was able to get from the calendar. It's very blurry but there seems to be certain dates marked off. At first I was thinking the month displayed was September but then I took a closer look in another scene.
Tumblr media
In this screenshot the month looks like November and the X's are more clearly visible. I don't know if there's any significance to this and I could just be making something out of nothing.
So next up: the pictures. The first one is of Ben and Bumpy and while there's nothing particularly striking about the poster itself, the background is where my attention is at. I went through all of the content we've gotten so far to see where it might be located and the only one I came up with is possibly Sammy's house. The panelling is very rustic but it doesn't match the color scheme of Darius' cabin so that's my estimated guess with Sammy living on a (rustic) ranch. It could potentially be Ben's place as well. There's additionally a sign that says "...In this kitchen." I'm guessing it's some cheesy sign.
The third image (we're switching around) is in the same location however the poster gives us some new looks. It's Sammy and Ben at the fair that we first saw Sammy in which tells us that Ben (and possibly Darius?) are also there as well. They're standing in front of a broken gyrosphere and it seems to be on display. What I'm wondering is why it's on display and also how it got there. Perhaps it's some dinosaur themed fair of some sort. The caption says If it can happen, it will. Why do I feel like at some point they might drive the gyrosphere? Idk, it's stupid.
The second and the fifth also seem to have the same background. The direction poster features Darius and it looks almost like he's in a barn; he's got some hay behind him so could it possibly be Sammy's ranch? It could be another part of the scene we saw with Sammy running out of her house. The fifth one has an image of a dinosaur (do not ask me which one) but there's also a newspaper pinned up with a headline that reads "In a Simulat[ion]" What could that be about? My initial thoughts were that it was somehow about Mantah Corp Island bc of the fake climates and stuff but idk..
The third pic is the one I find most interesting. There's a lot of little details in the background and the poster is also really cool. It's definitely the desk of someone trying to uncover a mystery with the red string and push pins. There's a newspaper pinned up that also seems to be from The True Times with a headline that says "WHO ARE T[HEY]." Could this be about the Nublar six? There's also a few photos of dinosaurs. None of the sticky notes are legible but there are stickers or something. One that says "WHY?" another that says "[QUE]STION [EVER]YTHING." there's another one but I can't tell what it's actually saying. Also a random fuel tank thing? Wonder what that has to do with anything. This picture definitely seems to be targeting the conspiracy aspect of Chaos Theory and is 10/10 marketing.
Now my last point is that I believe there's a post for each of the campers (minus Brooklynn... rip) The loyalty one is obviously Ben's and the Direction one is most likely Darius'. I'm assuming that possibility is Sammy's and that Tranquility is Kenji's because he's in that one and lowkey looks lonely. Also that caption? Like ouch. Motivation I heavily believe is Yasmina's poster. "Your fears can't get you if you run fast enough." Like c'mon. It's obviously her's with her being a (former?) trackstar and also how we saw her anxiety/ptsd in the later seasons of CC.
All I know is that I need all of these posters for my bedroom, please and thanks. I'm genuinely so excited for it to come out. Just 10 more days!

hello there dog!!! firstly, i just want too say im incredibly proud too see how far you have come, dialtown is so special too me, and for not only that game to be so loved, but also for you too be so involved in the community, is amazing keep up the great work! i do have a question, i am working on a theory pertaining to my favorite characters gingi/milton, and if i may, i have a couple questions about him specifically, if you don't mind of course :) 1. what made you come up with the design/personality of gingi?
2. what are your personal feelings/thoughts on gingi? are you satisficed with them as a character? or are there anything you wish you could change now? 3. this is a wierd one but, gingi generally does not really care what he looks like/what others think, so im really curious why hes so meticulous with making his phone/type head, and if he is so bent up about it, why not try to get someone like Oliver to make him a more proper one? instead of replacing the rotten flesh over and over
4. idk if you can answer this one, but i dont think it can hurt to try...was gingi around, before callum lost his mind?
if you cant answer this, then i have another, what flower would best represent gingi?
Milton question:
ok so....did Callum just straight up cheat on his Marla with Milt?...or am i mistaking something? what i read on the wiki says that milton and Callum had a romantic...fling?
2. did norm know milt? where they friends?
3. does mingus know at least some of the extent of miltons involvement with callum?
4. are there any plans with milton? he seems like such a cool character with crazy potential
that's my questions done, again thank you if you answer! and if not, thank you for making a truly special game, cant wait too see more gingi and dialtown in the future
1)Design for Gingi was primarily based on Frankenstein's aesthetic applied to a the chupacabra. Personality was largely ripped from quite a few unpublished stories/ideas I had before making DT. There's a few protagonists in other things I'd written as potential new game/story ideas that are eerily like Gingi.
2)I'm really really happy with Gingi as a character and I wouldn't change anything that I've established. I like how Gingi starts the game and changes by the end because it's pretty vast, but also not a complete change (and it happens very very gradually.)
TBH, outside of Gingi's interactions in DT, the fandom doesn't really know anything concrete about Gingi due to Gingi's poor memory. Until Gingi formed real human relationships, there was nothing to anchor to, just fragmented and barely remembered individual interactions. Honestly, the bigger picture is really interesting and I'm very happy with Gingi as a protagonist and I'd love to make sequels to DT as I've had concrete ideas for where the character would get up to in potential sequels for years now!
3)Gingi's flesh-head is a bit of a mystery. Gingi doesn't have the same adverse reaction to rotting things that most people do, but does have a general chip in its shoulder about being judged as lesser by others. Gingi (generally) does not make efforts to change its appearance to be seen as less repulsive by others, as we can plainly see from the fact Gingi often forgets (or refuses) to wear clothes.
4)I have all the main character date of births written down, so I could tell you Gingi's exact age... but it's more fun if I don't.
FOR MILT:
1)I'm not really sure why the wiki says that. There's no canon materials that state that Crown + Milt had an affair together. I think someone just read between the lines and stated their hunch as a fact.
2)Norm and Milt met but didn't know each other well. There was a cut mention of Milt in Norm's dialogue, but after a lot of head-scratching, felt the topic was too forced. Norm wouldn't have volunteered the information unless it was relevant to the scene and Gingi would not have asked.
3)Mingus knows about Milt, though not intimately. The only person alive during Mingus' lifetime who could've talked about Milt to her was her grandmother Marla, who was a husk of a person for Mingus' whole life (and in particular, talking about Milt would've hurt too much for her given their closeness.) Mingus knows about Milt from her obsessive study of her paw paw's presidency, but not much more than any historian/social studies teacher would. A lot of information I'd consider very important about Milt was never put to paper.
4)I'm not 100% sure why the fandom likes him as much as they do, given how little of him the fandom has seen (and how little information there is about him out there so far.) I just wanted a few references to him included in canon so I could potentially reveal more about him one day without fans wondering how this SUPER important character had never been mentioned. It's incredibly likely that I'll show more of Milt in future DT stuff due to how instrumental he was in Crown's decision-making + rise to power. There would be no practical way to expand on Crown without discussing Milt more.
There's a much bigger picture that the fandom hasn't seen much of that Milt is very important to, though it isn't often relevant to the modern day events of DT. Understanding Milt isn't important to understand DT itself, but is to understand both Crown and exactly how the world (and by extension, Dialtown itself) ended up exactly the way it did. And with time, I will discuss that some more.

Have you seen the posts going around saying shit like "If a mutual likes Hazbin Hotel I will block them"?? It's genuinely upsetting me tbh, not just the idea that people don't like the show, but that they despise it so much they can't even stand the thought of someone they know liking the show. It reminds me of the Steven Universe hate train only worse. They also say shit like "the show is just someone saying swear words and expecting you to laugh", and if for a second we put aside the fact that that is blatantly not true, what's wrong with that? I'm allowed to like something that's a bit trash, right? I've already seen two different people I follow reblog posts to that effect (and worse, someone saying all a character boils down to is "i love being sexually abused <3" and i don't know how they ever came to that conclusion) and it's driving me mad. And somehow I just know that they don't actually give a shit about any "controversies" surrounding vivziepop, that's just a convenient excuse for most of them. I don't even care if Vivzie is a bad person, that's none of my business. just live and let live, you know?
Sorry for ranting, you're literally the only blog i follow who posts Hazbin fan content
Rant away, friend! Luckily for me I haven't come across any of those posts yet. Plenty of discourse surrounding whether fans are allowed to make romantic and/or sexual content for Alastor, the expected shipping wars, and - as you say - vague references to Vivzie controversies (which I'm too new a fan to even be aware of yet)... but nothing that's a complete rejection of the show itself. That's probably because I've only engaged with blogs posting a lot of Hazbin content though.
I'm a big fan of old school Internet rules which includes an emphasis on cultivating your own online space. You know, the thing tumblr is explicitly designed for. So in theory I applaud anyone blocking users/tags for a show they're not a fan of. Performatively posting about it more as a way to guilt others for liking Hazbin at all... not so much. If you want to block something just block it. If you're mutuals with someone you both presumably like each others' content. Not all of it necessarily, but enough to have followed in the first place, and often being mutuals for long enough leads to friendship because you're both getting interacting with one another a lot. All of which isn't to say that people don't unfollow mutuals, or that you can't drop a mutual because they've started posting something you dislike. Obviously both situations do happen, but it feels like an extreme enough response that these posters probably aren't actually doing this very often. Most people will wait the mutual out until their interest gets hooked on something new, or block the Hazbin tag and keep the friend, or just block without making a big announcement about it. So posts like that feel more like a way to show off how much you dislike the show and guilt others for their enjoyment which yeah, can be upsetting to see. Especially when, as you say, it costs nothing to just let people like things.
Which might sound hypocritical on my part given my RWBY interests, but I think there's a big difference between critically examining a show while supporting others who genuinely love it, and simplistically blasting it. I COMPLETELY get why Hazbin wouldn't be to everyone's tastes and, like with the SU example, anything that gets popular enough is going to develop its haters (especially cartoons trying to tackle non-childish subjects. That's always going to be a fandom landmine). But if you're going to make claims about a show, at least watch it to ensure you can back up your stance? And if your takeaway is still, "This is the worst fucking thing I've ever watched"... cool. Go forth and write about that on your own, personal blog. But no one should be surprised when they're also blocked for bragging about how many Hazbin fans they've blocked.

Oh. Well, alright!
Honestly, I feel like Tubbo's itching for lore that's not too emotional in order to keep his attention on the server beyond maintaining his factories, talking to his friends and feeding Sunny, like it's either information or a new mod, something to give him stuff to do that's not the same thing he's been doing for months since he joined.
Thus, Time Travel!
I do think it will become a lore thing with him having promised Sunny to work on it, though tbh I dont think it was planned, maybe he'd thought about it a bit but it came up very naturally and I don't doubt his theories were stuff he came up with on the spot
I think he's gonna do exactly what we're all thinking and go to the past, post Fed but before the Ice Prison, and he and Sunny will figure out how and why he was there in the first place. Personally, I was never a big fan of "Tubbo was part of the Fed" theories because that kinda feels like it undermines his compassion towards the workers, but I'd love it if he did have some involvement with them, such as him getting someone to rebel, and it eventually getting him in ice.
I do also think he will only be able to travel back so far, because of the island itself. I'm still a firm believer that the Quesadilla Island all this is happening in is not a real physical place, and instead something like a computer program, and so Tubbo would only be able to travel as far as the earliest version of it.
But I also can't think it wouldn't be cool if Tubbo ended up being the one who created the Fed, or made Cucurucho/the Census Bureau, or the one who started the human testing (turning norma people into Fed Workers, Hybrid stuff, the islanders themselves being there, etc.)
Honestly it would be nice to have someone find out about Jaiden's stuff, not because of snooping around or eavesdropping but because they remember info they technically already had, from before the island, like having her as their coworker/employee. Or having someone find out about Baghera's stuff, period.
now your turn. give me your thoughts
OKAY OKAY OMG okay. so first thought
How I think the time machine works is that it's stationary and is fueled by cobbled deepslate, and another block that moves them forward in time!! It also freezes the users (tubbo and sunny) age until they get back to their time period
Now lore wise? I don't think this is something Tubbo has planned beforehand, but I think it would be AWESOME if the admins actually picked it up and asked Tubbo if this is something he wants to do, and if he doesn't? hey, that's what aus are for!!!
I think they go back to a time where the island is abandoned, maybe right before the first spanish and english speakers arrived and the fed doesn't notice them because tubbo already exists in their system (ice prison) and sunny? well.. the eggs are practically confirmed to be fed experiments.
I think they would hide the machine and succeed because the area they plan on using went completely untouched before I believe? Yeah. It wasn't being used. They grab their motor boat and start their travels. They're going far, far out!! To build a shack and live there
But!! I just love the concept of time machine goes haywire and they don't have any clue at all when they are in the timeline. sooo shenanigans ensue and they start to explore the current times! maybe they have some kind of timer where the machine tells them they need to get back? idk
this is what sparked my previous post!! the one about sunny hearing or like finding out about tallulah wanting to protect their siblings but not them
i also think thats how tubbo would try and stop fitpac from happening but fail miserably, and maybe get to know some of the old islanders that aren't as active or not active at all nowdays
they would watch from afar and see how some of the eggs used to be back in the day and the islanders and just. yeah. i think they would end up leaving in the end, even if they managed to get to know the islanders and the eggs, because it always comes to that
Tubbo and Sunny leaving
and maybe their next adventure takes them to the federation's beginnings, but I do agree that they can't travel as far back as they would like due to the island's nature, but i think it would be cool if Tubbo joined the federation, or infiltrated it, and then found out about the rebellion, betrayed them both and went on the run, only to be caught in a block of ice and for Sunny to never see him again
And the cycle repeats
Silly adventures include:
-Meeting Jaiden, maybe when she's talking to Cucurucho
-Watching both the brazilians and the french arrive
-Witnessing Wilbur take care of Tallulah for two weeks before leaving for tour
-Meeting the dead eggs, before they died
-Tubbo trying to break Fit and Pac up before they connect, failing miserably
-Realising they can go back in time to talk to themselves
-Realising that is a terrible idea and decide against it
-Doing it anyways for the bit
there are more options but just a few ideas,,,

Episode 5, Season 1 | X-men 97 spoilers/theory below cut
(If I knew how to make gifs/good quality scs I could analyze the different openings so far (up to episode 5) of X-Men 97 and backup my meta with images)
Disclaimer: I have many thoughts on what's going to happen forward this is basically a word vomit.
So a summarized version of my theory is: obviously time travel will happen. They didn't keep the original opening for nostalgia only. That's why The Brotherhood + Magneto keep going against the X-Men in the opening, even if they're on the same side since the beginning of the season.
That's why Xavier and Bishop keep showing up in the opening too? I don't know if they'll bring Xavier back but eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Plus, Cable came back trying to prevent the massacre from happening, failed at it, and now Madelyn is confirmed to be dead. I don't think Cable will just let his mother stay dead.
So yeah. Madelyn, Gambit, Callisto, etc are dead. For now. Plus you know how it happens. Nobody stays dead in that damned universe, especially if you're a popular character
This might cheapen the blow episode 5 was, yes. But I don't think it will if they play their cards (heh) right
NOW! It still would be interesting as hell for them to be permanently dead.
Especially since Bishop comments that Gambit is not remembered in the future. I'm not totally convinced Magneto is dead even after the "omega-leve threat eliminated". I didn't see a corpse 🤨
Gambit had a hero death tbh too cool to undo like that
I also, somehow, think the Genosha genocide will stick as a whole to force mutants as whole to fight against humanity. Maybe this can even radicalize Scott
So maybe Gambit, as the popular character he is who is destined to marry Rogue, will return as a horseman for Apocalypse. Callisto and others will stay dead because they're not nearly important. Madelyne is fridged so Scott stays with Jean.
Oh we can even have that plot line where Sinister convinced Rogue to help him out with waking up Apocalypse, yeah? Nice too. Rogue, blinded by grief, going anti-hero for a sec.
Or maybe Sinister himself will bring Gambit back simply because he wants his otp to stay together, just like he did with Madelyne and Scott lmao

tbh, your recent post about transandrophobia synthesizes my thoughts about it very well, and im surprised you're getting backlash. the only additions i would make is that the gender/sex binary in the west was originally very explicitly a white supremacist creation, even down to the categories of male/female, and lionizing any aspect of that tends to get really racist really fast no matter how feminist or well intentioned. i guess you'd call me a trandandrobro bc i hang out in the tag and sometimes use the word for specific things (like when the lab threw out my cervical cancer test cells bc the cup was labelled M) but, i genuinely don't disagree with a single one of your points. i've been getting uncomfortable with the increasingly reactionary nature of the conversation on transandrophobia and i appreciate your take a lot.
Rambling about transandrophobia
Tbh It's been really surprising to see transandrophobia types interacting with that post all around.
And mostly it boils down to me having had windows into transandrophobia discourse that makes it seem bad*. And other ppl treating these aspects as exceptions to a discourse they see as basically good.
And I recognize that in part this is just how polarized internet discourses work. Like, if my windows into transandrophobia are largely when something egregious gets said and passed around in my circles, that's gonna give a way different impression then if ppl are part of the discourse and curating a slice they agree with.
And the consistent overall harassment of any attempt to talk about transmisogyny and constant bad faith engagements (eg attacks on agab and cagab language, cafab attempts to ID as trans women and as direct targets of transmisogyny) mean few of us are still in a position to assume good faith with internet strangers we run into who identify with a discourse that very much seems to have a massive transmisogyny problem.
.
My slightly more extended position on transandrophobia, since I've been thinking about it the past few days is:
1) I'm broadly supportive of ppl talking about their experiences and trying to find common ground even around shared ~privilege~, so long as it's done with a commitment to broader, collective liberation. (Eg cis men getting together from a feminist perspective to talk about patriarchy = good, cis men doing so with no specific opposition to normative masculinity = fashy).
2) the general attitude I've seen from transandrophobia world is to say: this has nothing to do with anyone other than trans mascs ppl other than trans mascs aren't welcome as part of this discourse: it's by us for us. Intentionally creating an insulated discourse especially around a point of (partial) privilege has a terrible track record. But regardless of relative positionality insulated discourses are just going to be more limited. They can create theory that's empowering for the creator group but it's probably not gonna get much mileage beyond and it's easy for it to be actively harmful.
3) I've thought for ages that trans masc experience seems ~under theorized~ and that transphobia is rly under theorized too. And it'd be really cool to see this addressed in a way that isn't rife with transmisogyny. It does seem like transandrophobia discourse is addressing a real hole, it's just doing in a way that rly sketches me out.
4) really I think gender discourse overall is just not in a great place rn. It was 1990 when Judith Butler questioned whether it makes sense for women to be the sole/primary subject of feminism, and we had major interventions that I'd say reached a peak in the early to mid 2010's (criticisms of white feminism, of cis feminism, intersectionality becoming a dominant framework).
There's a strong tendency to say that we're basically in a post gender world, or that race is just a more fundamental framework (which I strongly disagree with)** and I do think we really need a rebuilt gender theory that has teeth to it. Trying to build theory around transmisogyny I've found it necessary to do a lot of general theory building around gender. How normative masculinity and femininity work, how gender is policed. I don't think we're gonna be able to make a clean break from identity politics until we can have a strong theory framework that lets us talk about this shit from outside identity politics.
5) this is v rambly but I'm inclined to engage with transandrophobia discourse a little more than lots of my circles in part because I really want there to be more good theory building going on around gender, from different positions and across positions. One day, maybe.
*full of transmisogyny/denials of transmisogyny, trans masc exceptionalism and a failure to recognize and be in solidarity around shared issues with trans fems and cis men.
**getting back to the part of your ask about the history of gender and white supremacy, there's a huge entanglement between gender and race, gender and civilization. Normative gender differentiation has been a classic way the civilized set themselves apart from those they deem savage.
Broad claims like the one you make in your ask anon get messy tho. Like, a largely binary model of gender is older than history but you can also talk about the modern binary having really only come about over the past couple centuries (and obviously it's heavily contested and changing rn). Similarly you could say the modern concept of whiteness came about through the trans Atlantic slave trade (and then has been constantly shifting and getting redefined ever since) but there's obviously much older histories it's building off of.
I'm realizing now that maybe you meant the binary divide between sex vs gender as opposed to the male vs female binary but I can't tell which. Either way, my position here is mostly that it's really really messy to make big historical claims. It's such a high level view you can tell a lot of different stories with the available historical evidence. Ideas about gender and race have a heavily entangled history tho and it's certainly gonna go poorly if you treat either as natural.

Why don’t you like your least favorite campaign in rw?
Spearmaster is just. I dont like it so bad. Most of this is btw not objective critisism but just stuff I personally don't like for reasons varying from pretty valid to plain stupid.
there' just way too many moments that I find frustrating and not fun. Sure, you could say skill issue and that I should just get better at the game, but
Tumblr media
I did this with chaos + enemy randomizer, I make myself suffer in this game for fun and Spearmaster just hits different. (also yes I'm just taking a chance to bring up this screenshot again because I kinda slayed)
random, but this is the only time I get to mention I was so excited at the start of the campaign, just to get upset upon realizing cool new starting region is just Outskirts, the first few rooms made me hope for a mix of Shaded, Drianage and Superstructure kinda region. I guess seeing what's behind the Surv/Monk starting pipe is cool, but I hoped for something different. Also sad you can't go back there.
The mechanic is nice ig, I like killing things, holding two spears is cool ig, but tbh, a pebbles and a spear is even more effective in most situations. The way Spearmaster gets food is pretty cool and very unique, but I do miss munching on corpses. Not having a stomach slot isn't a big deal, until you remember Spearmaster has a bunch of unique lore pearls bc nobody else has access to pre-collapse Moon. Imo it's much much worse than the story pearl.
Speaking of, the story pearl. It's whatever, don't care, prior to Spearmaster I played Hunter bringing both the pearl and the neuron to Moon and it was much more difficult, as Spearmaster I just used a passage. What IS a problem tho, is having to go between iterators back and forth. I wanted to know what Pebbles was talking about, so I went to Moon first, then I had to go to Pebbles to get top surgery, then I had to go back to Moon again to give her the pearl, and then I had to go to Sky Islands, which is also going past Pebbles through the Precipice.
The spawns are brutal, which is not an issue itself, I liked Artificer's camapaign a lot. The issue id that it feels "bullshit" brutal instesd of "challenging" brutal.
The regions are also not something I enjoy. Past Garbage Wastes? Better as Artificer with brief acid immunity and awesome mobility [and high threat level to compensate]. The only really good part is build-a-ladder room. Waterfront facility? It's whatever, and again better as Artificer because I can make shortcuts myself, as a little treat. any wall is scaleable and gap is crossable [unverified information], the Precipice is bad. Tight jumps, no shelters, missing a jump.is very punishing and a lot of threats on top of that. Yes I know you can bring a grappleworm, but I hate them so I'm not doing that. Moon's Underhang? Struts, I believe. Also very fucking bad, just. she has an awful infestation she should get it checked out. The only and only thing that made me get get that awya from me mod and remove spiders. Also it's hard to navigate and it doesn't have enough shelters to compensate. Moon's superstructure? I don't like superstructure regions because zero-g is the worst mechanic every concieved for rain world. also getting food from neurons is annoying. I know I don't have to I can just go through Superstructure in one cycle. but I still hate it.
The lore? Don't give a shit honestly, I was kinda hyped for the broadcasts but then I just didn't care, I was just hoping I can skip them faster. I don't care about iterator drama stfu!!!! Like it's cool and all. in theory. but in reality I really just ended up not caring at all. Call me a fake fan but I wish they just weren't in there or there was a lot less.
Spearmaster is a lot more enjoyable if you disregard the camapign and do whatever. But at that point I'd rather play slugcats I enjoy more anyway. No dual-wield and no unlimited spears isn't a deal breaker

Can I please know your thoughts on ch 406?
Spoilers under the cut:
Update on battlefields:
what is shown and what isn't shown is equally interesting. Takoba Arena is confirmed to be Gashly, and it looks like his quirk is to make a flood of scary babies or Chucky dolls? Only Ojirou is shown + Ryukyu who I was sure would be here. I hope we'll get a close-up, as it looks super-creepy. Sero is still nowhere to be seen though, even though we know he'll have a moment
Hagakure still seems to be visible. I wonder if Aoyama glitched her quirk for good or if she'll figure it out how to turn it on / off.
Gunga is not shown at all - I'm guessing because maybe some things are happening as we speak (notably Toga being saved).
Aizawa and Kurogiri reminder confirms that they will be back in play and if Warp Gate is back, others could be coming through.
Fight:
I didn't think Bakugou's revival would be 80% comic relief tbh, so I'm still recalibrating my brain. But I appreciate how goofy he looks trying to gain control over his quirk upgrade. 🤣 I generally appreciate if someone doesn't get something 100% on first try.
It's also confirmed that pre-upgrade Bakugou doesn't have the power of Endeavor or Dark Shadow - something for the power-scalers to play with. I expect he's gonna get past it though once he figures out how to get his sweat into one focus point?
AFO going again with the "I'm not gonna fight back" and "I'm gonna be a moron because he pisses me off" - ngl is getting really tiring and makes for a worse fight (especially knowing how Bakugou doesn't appreciate opponents not giving their all). I mean, at the moment it's more like a goofy weird game of tag rather than a fight. It feels like the AFO's regressing due to Rewind and Bakugou kind of returning to his child self - so it does have a schoolyard fight energy. I hope once Bakugou does his big boom, we can finally move on from AFO.
Deku activating his last gear shift for the third time is exactly like the PLF war, where he was constantly on his last 100% smash. These just don't do anything for me anymore as there is hardly any follow through. It's also a weird choice to have him activate it but not show what happens (considering how speedy it is) unless he activated it on Bakugou again? Not sure...
I think Deku will eventually go down due to abusing Gear Shift, but the question is how much of the fight with Shigaraki before will be shown. Once Deku is down from the blow-back, things will get desperate - Shigaraki is stronger than prime AFO, so it will take some effort to hold him back unless it's some self-destruct again - so I expect Aizawa and some reinforcements show up to hold back Shigaraki or counter Decay (sounds like a cool way to show off Ochako's awakening) while Deku is catching his breath
Shigaraki I guess is just chilling and not gonna do anything until it's his "scene". It's a bit lame that they have a 1000 quirks between them yet just make faces at each other. I feel like it would work better to see them in dynamic poses, etc.
The purpose of Bakugou being the 2nd's lookalike seems to be an excuse to make AFO even more moronic and have some flashbacks. I'm really curious how Yoichi died so I hope we get more on that.
I guess with Bakugou's parents shown, maybe the "ancestor"-theory is on the table too. Possibly Mitsuki will reveal she's from the Kudou clan? (This theory imho is not very impactful. It's about as important as the reveal that Rei and Geten are both Himuras. It's like a "cool - ok, then" kind of revelation).
Bakugou announcing himself as Kacchan looks like an obvious set-up for another joke about his hero name - where the whole world will know him as Kacchan rather than GEMGD, and Deku will also think it's his hero name.
That's it. It's a set-up chapter. It sets up some gigantic explosion from Bakugou. It sets up once again why AFO is not gonna do anything remotely intelligent. It sets up Deku going down. It sets up another hero name joke. Maybe it sets up more vestige history (I hope the punchline is at least something emotional in the end).

as someone who used to be huge bts fan and biased jimin and jk to now really only caring and being excited about jimin and his art feels so horrible to me tbh but i cant help it jungkook especially made me so dissapointed in this second chapter and i lost so much affection for him. i feel like he lost his appeal to me. Jimin however blew me away smf was just beyond amazing and then face and lc with all the art and heart in it ppl making all kinds of theories connecting him to poems, movies, queer ppl and writting essays about his work. I miss that i miss feeling of excitement and love like that with all 7 of them but jimin just seems to have stolen all my affection. i dont wanna be a solo stan tbh but i feel like i will never like bts as i used to.
Your line of thinking is so categorical, which is something very common when we're operating within a fandom. You mentioned lost affection, which indicates why you're feeling like this. It's the emotional involvement that makes us so involved and to feel so strongly about everything they do. And it can be something positive, like you said about Jimin, or something more negative, like your feelings towards Jungkook right now. I think it's easier for us to navigate these conversations once we acknowledge our position and we understand and admit were we're coming from. For example, I know that almost everything of Jimin's work is elevated and given extra importance in my mind because I like him. It doesn't mean that it's false or I made it all in my head, but if I only heard of him vaguely and looked through some of his work, I'd probably say at first "cool dude, he's interesting". And maybe if I was in the mood, I'd look it up more. It's the same as Jungkook fans now defending/celebrating every step of his career in Chapter 2 and they do that just like any other fan of an artist who is deep into a parasocial relationship. (Also, let's no hide or say only a category of fans are like that. Most of us are and we manifest in various ways).
If you want to label yourself as a solo stan, fine by me. Categories can make life easier, but they also limit not just us, but also those we are interested in or we don't really like. To me, this position is not one I would choose and I see the damage. Being so much involved in fandom, from the position of a solo stan, or a particular shipper/supporter or ot7/whatever else there is, can make us obtuse sometimes and more often than not, really mean in an environment in which online bullying is now acceptable. I see what JK solos say about Jimin and I see what Jimin solos say about Jungkook. It's horrible. Not only that, it's predictable because what they say is what is being transmitted throughout their own communities. It's like learning a script, especially when it comes to insults. And one has to be categorical and hateful. Not critical, because that would imply nuance and we know how no one cares about that.
I'm not enjoying the music Jungkook has been putting out in Chapter 2. I'm not enjoying how it's promoted. But to go from there and change my entire opinion seems too dramatic for me. He's not this horrible guy that he's being painted at. Just listen to him talk, watch his wlives. He's still a dork and he seems genuinely nice. I can live with all these thoughts in my head. Like I said, emotional involvement makes us go crazy, but in my case, previous experience with other creative people and celebrities is influencing the way I see things. I have favorite directors/actors that have some films that I consider really bad and so far from some of their earlier good stuff. But the world doesn't end there. It's ok. It's either a phase or they'll go down the hill, but there's still films that I like or I enjoy their way of looking at the world through their art. I like stuff from people I find displeasing, but I can put that aside and only look at the object.
It's the same with Jungkook for me. And if I don't like something, I will not waste my time trying to find excuses for it or defend it just because I like the person.
Just now I saw that clip of Bang PD talking about JK and it confirmed what others and I've been saying since Seven was released. This was Scooter's work, just as 3D and the other songs that will be released on the album. Jungkook in Chapter 2 musically and Golden are now the result of the partnership between Hybe and Hybe America. And it seems that the strategy is to focus on collabs to bring more attention to it, let Scooter gather all the songs and basically set the tone for everything and deliver a recipe for success. Do I wish Jungkook would let himself be convinced to put out a music album by other sort of people and not Bang & Scooter? Yes. But it was his decision and I can only look at the results and say that it's not for me. But I'm talking about it because I have an interest in Jungkook and because I have the right to say it, just like everyone on the internet.
I'm perfectly fine with all of these contradictions, while still expressing some of my frustrations. I won't expect from Jungkook something similar to what Jimin does because artistically they seem to not have that much in common right now, separately. It doesn't mean that I don't consider Jimin's work to have more artistic value. It has and it's something that I'm interested in and to which I pay attention to.
And sometimes, pop music is just pop music and we can simply enjoy it. Theoretically, that's Jungkook's path right now, but given how it came to fruition, the message it sends, knowing what Jungkook is capable of in terms of producing/writing lyrics, then it is disappointing to me. And so be it.

I think this episode put it even more into view now
like, the reason 3 still resents 4 so much is because of living in his shadow
it shows in a lot of ways, the more I think about it
christmas wars was a part of that, considering he wanted to throw a better party because he finally wanted to overcome him
you used to be cool him trying to establish himself again (but tbh it making him lean into this insecurity even more) but also showing that he cares, which once again, it's so obviously painful to him
also one of my fav episodes, the elevator
with the scene w their thoughts
this episode... it made me reinterpret it
like 4 is still just. bisexually checking him out, I'm sorry, I don't know how to see it any other way. just. him denying his attraction by roasting him inside his head is exactly what he'd do, yeah
but that "SMG4, I hate you" is so so genuine it stings like hell now. he means it, with his whole heart but he also doesn't (like considering how much he cares yknow. wotfi 2023, Perfect) he wants to mean entirely, but he cares too much about 4, and he especially did before like, christmas wars, boy's heart was absolute mush for 4, like that drawing.... he is so in love, it's stupid- but with christmas wars, then you used to be cool, him remembering why he even started to hate 4 all the way back then. And I think... even then... even now. he adored him. I think this whole duality could absolutely be interpretted all the way back.
Like, imagine being 3, seeing someone so amazing, you just can't help but adore so much you start to yearn- you start to get jealous, and it gets to you, and time doesn't heal you, it only makes the wounds bigger. you get closer to him, and it feels like things are better, although still healing. AND when you thought you're on the right track, you're right back there again, openly bleeding, bleeding for that all that deep hatred and adoration you hold in your heart for ONE person AND now this person is close to you too, and has to witness it, and has to care
remember the ep where 3 made his own studio and 4 made it go down thinking it was a scheme?
"You never really cared about me"
and now 4 does and I feel like 3 often wishes he didn't
also not to alarm people again, with the parallels, but the same way 3 helped 4 w the video making when shit hit the fan, 4 did that for 3 for his café
I'm- I'm just saying-
but. in the same manner I want to say. I hope to see these 2 work hard together again, Perfect showed it (they, TOGETHER literally made The PERFECT video), literally them using meme energy whenever, literally all moments of them working together showed that by god, when they get down to it, they can empower each other to the stars
and considering the amount of duality between him feeling jealous but also this time we see him open up and also 4 understanding and being there for him n stuff-
consider: instead of 3 just simply being corrupted
what if... it's both, in a sense? he just gets more and more of both things, more and more overwhelming- because even when he opens up- even when 4 listens- even when 4 HELPS- it doesn't save him from his fate. it doesn't save him from reaching his breaking point at all
he's gonna get there and we can't do anything about it. 4 wouldn't know what to do about it. all he could do is just... stand there. and watch. as it all goes down right before his eyes, because fate was so cruel to them in that way
and because I think one of the biggest things that will be at fault for it, is 4 not understanding him in time, because he's spiteful and doesn't see when he should be kinder to 3 instead of throwing mean words right back at him
who knows what kind of power that angst in 3 could achieve. considering, he was ALWAYS an angsty villain, with his newpowered angst he's not even used to, who knows where that might push him, even if he doesn't want it at all. Yet... fighting it is useless.
but hey, that's just a theory, an smg4 theory!

I have a theory about Neuvillette
Tumblr media
Okay this screenshot doesn't show it very well, but in this scene as Neuvillette is walking down the hall the light catches on his face in a way that reflects prison bars
Tumblr media
And when Clorinde walks past here, practically following directly in Neuvillette's footsteps, the light doesn't shine on her in the same way. Instead she stays cast in darkness.
So I have a theory that, for some reason, Neuvillette may end up imprisoned? Sure it may just be a coincidence, but hoyoverse rarely does coincidence tbh.
Besides, there's also this:
Tumblr media
When Focalors is complaining about wanting to see a real twist, she holds up a burning picture which directly frames Neuvillette. This could imply that he was possibly framed for something?
I'm also wondering if the light in the hallways represents learning of something, as he goes from shadow to light. Perhaps he unearths something that Focalors doesn't want unearthed, which could be what lands him in jail.
Idk Neuvillette is really suspicious to me. I'm also wondering if he's possibly connected to khaenriah. Like for example
Tumblr media
If you zoom in on his eyes here, his pupils look very sharp, almost cat like. They aren't exactly a khaenrian star, but he may only be part khaenrian
Tumblr media
Here's kaeyas eye, where his star is much fainter than other khaenrians we've seen, implying kaeya MAY be part khaenrian instead of a full khaenrian
Tumblr media
This is Neuvillette's eye (sorry it's so small I couldn't get it any bigger) I sharpened it a bit and it looks very similar to Kaeya's eye. The star isn't nearly as prominent as kaeyas, but it's still kinda similar
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Also, Neuvillette's silhouette looks oddly similar to an abyss herald? This one is a bit of a stretch I won't lie, but I saw someone else point it out and it would make so much sense for him to be inspired by abyss heralds design, since kaeya, the only playable khaenrian character as of right now, shares similarities in his design with abyss mages.
Idk, I'm almost certain that Fontaine is going to have ties to Khaenriah, especially with how many times sinners and sin was mentioned in the preview. Along with all the khaenriah teasing we got in sumeru, id be really surprised if Fontaine didn't have anything to do with Khaenriah.
There's ALSO the fact that people speculate that Celestia is directly overhead of Fontaine. Fontaine and Khaenriah seem to be pretty similar in some ways, as they're both countries that push mechanical innovation (based on the machines we saw at the end of the 3.8 Livestream as well as the way other characters have referred to fontaine in the past- think Mikage Furnace). From what's generally told, Khaenriah was destroyed because of its danger as a technologically advanced society (I think that's bullshit and have my own theories as well), so it would make sense for Celestia to keep an eye on Fontaine. And idk having the head judge be part khaenrian would definitely push the similarities between the two nations.
Idk I'm very excited about Fontaine it looks so good :3. Arlecchino, Writhosley and Clorinde are all so cool and I want to try to get all of them. I also kinda want Neuvillette but it depends tbh rn I'm really wanting those three.

holy. fuckin'. DAMN. I was pretty good at predicting the plot so far, but this episode proved that stampede is going in a whole new direction for real. spoilers for ep 9!!! (and manga a bit)
first of all, we still haven't got a full story of the great fall, but I think it's something they'll reveal in this season, probably during confrontation with knives. and still no scar reveal!! I'm angy but it's something that could be relevant to the standoff with knives, hope we'll get it
the piano scene... oh we're eating GOOD, it's just so wholesome but goes to confirm my theory that twins weren't completely fine on the ship. vash feeling useless because he can't do cool plant shit, knives envying vash for being good at human shit.... oh it's great
so glad knives is getting proper characterization and not just "he evil because he evil"! the fear, the hurt, the genuine care for vash, but then frustration with him – it's right there and I'm eating it up so yummy
the way they recontextualized vash's arm loss is GORGEOUS! I've seen ppl reading this scene differently, but to me it was an act of care from naï. he looks really scared for a reason: we see that the gate consumed all matter, including the hand. vash couldn't control it, so it would only grow bigger and destroy him. NAÏ REALIZED THIS AND SAVED VASH THE ONLY WAY HE COULD
he didn't want to fight him, this was not an act of anger, like in previous versions. all he cared about in that moment was saving his twin..... and what did he get in return? a gun pointed to his face. a gun he gave vash to kill human scum. oh, the DRAMA
ahem, now to the less intense stuff
homeboy has so much trauma, like, damn... how is he gonna fit any more from his impending epic brother fight...... I'm quite curious on how they're gonna characterize him in the next season. concidering that we're taking off earlier than previous versions, he might end up with the same unhinged vibe 98' vash had, as a coping mechanism (if depression didn't work, try dissociation and silliness). but then it would be even more interesting to see meryl's and wolfwood's reactions: they knew him before the accident and saw the big sad
vash has sense in the prosthetic arm, so it must've hurt when he damaged it... probably it hurts less than the real one, and it's clearly painless to take off. but the hand seems to be rather sensitive and fic writers are gonna go crazy for this
age reveal! also brad and luida being in cryosleep makes sense, I was racking my brain on how they're still alive. seems like they're using much more plant power tho... both for cryo and the vegetation, while in manga they tried to keep it as low as possible and send signals to earth
saw someone say that they're probably not doing that here because the earth is destroyed... could be that they decided to go the hard way. but in the manga the earth was still fucked, and it wasn't clear if they communicated with the ppl left on the planet or the fleet that was in some new place. what I'm saying is, there is a possibility that they are looking for help in stampede, we just don't know it yet
meryl was so cute! go off, comedy relief goofy girl, while you can, there is more trauma coming your way :3 yeah, enjoy roberto calling you by your first name... oh it would be such a shame if he gave you his derringer before his untimely death..........
pretty weird that nobody knows why they fell on no man's land, but ppl probably were too ashamed of their past and 150 years later the new generation is oblivious. also so funny that luida has to explain what vegies are..... they have so many plants but haven't see any plants
tbh I wasn't expecting the zazie twist at all, but I'm excited! they are SO gender in stampede, might be the best redesign in the series, love me a genderless bug creature with bold fashion choices. really cool to see that storyline adapted, it was barely touched upon in the last volumes of trimax
btw the multiple bullets story about a plant, worm and human who went around figuring out if their species could coexist and just.... creating this foud family and then building a town there all were equal...... that's my favorite mb story for sure
wolfwood saying "I'm not your friend"... I know what you are. and we got a "you'll have to decide one day"... oh oh the misery, but the context was lacking. it just doesn't hit the same when he isn't daring vash to shoot him in the most homoerotic way possible. on and he looks so goofy trying to ride with his cross
in the last ep's rant I assumed that luida lied about rem saving everybody for some reason?? but no, she actually saved them, I just got a bit confused
so, as I predicted, the gang separated (tho not because of vash) and by the end of the next episode vash'll be in july and meet naï. the poster, man.... that gorgeous futuristic city is getting obliterated for sure
btw vash's gate being opposite to knives and sort of a black hole is nothing new. but there are new layers to this, like vash willingly giving away energy, but destroying things against his will, and knives with the opposite of this. ying yan twins go brrrr

hello would you be willing to say your million opinions about the mystery twins?
WHY YES
I am unwell about these people thank you so much for asking /gen (long post incoming)
I'm a little more familiar with Cellbit's character than Bagi's, so probably have more headcanons about him. I am actively trying to get more unhinged about Bagi because she is so cool and everyone should tell me their Bagi headcanons
Bagi headcanons/opinions:
She should be transfem. as a treat. her being transfem lets me make the twins identical, and anything that makes it more obvious how related they are makes them funnier
Her being transfem also adds fun layers to her relationship with Tina, as Tina is a demon pretending to be human. All I'm saying is you could do some fun parallels and contrasts about presentation and the self
Also if you make her and Jaiden and Baghera all transfem, you get the fun fed-sisters-plus transfem solidarity that exists only in my head
She can only barely cook. She never learned as a kid and then got fucking frozen, and she's tried to learn as an adult but it's not going well
When she thinks about raising Empanada, she gets kinda caught between wanting to pass on the pacifist, live-and-let-live mentality that she pretends to have and the more defensive/aggressive ideas she actually has. She does like the idea of pacifism and doesn't want Empanada to grow up bitter, but... peace isn't what's kept her safe and alive
Empanada's first death resolved a lot of those conflicts. A kinder world isn't coming, so she has to raise a fighter
Her "pretending to be an ethical vegetarian" thing is hilarious to me. girl you aren't pretending to be a vegetarian you just are one. you can lie about your reasons but girl. you don't eat meat
Cellbit headcanons/opinions:
He can't cook even a little bit. Federation pet -> child soldier -> jail-> struggling adult? yeah he never fucking learned to cook
Relatedly I think he's a picky eater but has weird tastes. Like i think he eats instant microwave/just add water foods raw and likes it because he learned to eat it like that at some point, but can't stand a lot of "real food" because he just never got used to it (this is partly based on me lsjkhd)
He owns a butterfly knife and he's good with it. He picked it up as a hobby after Fuga when he was in therapy because he needed something to fill his time and it was a socially acceptable way to carry a knife. He can do all kinds of tricks now
Just pre-purgatory (and probably still now tbh) sometimes the butterfly knife suddenly reminds him too much of a real knife or triggers some kind of intrusive thought that scares him. His reaction to this is to just let go of the knife midair. He's very lucky no one's gotten hurt yet
He 100% remembers more of his childhood with Bagi than he admits. He pretends he doesn't because even acknowledging that he was a child once undermines his image of himself as a monster (upsetting, unhealthy self-image, sure, but one that's kept him safe. monsters aren't afraid of anything. monsters can't be hurt. children, though?)
As much as I understand and will read about autistic!Cellbit headcanons, I don't agree (i am autistic, for the record). He's actually really good with social cues, like scary good, and obviously has really strong theory of mind. Like I get where people are coming from but we need to defend an allistic guy's right to just be a fucking freak (/lh /nm)
I want to call Cellbit and Baghera "hunters" instead of "chainsaw killers." again I get where people are coming from. it's funny and I'll use it. however hunters would go so hard. same genre as codebreakers and bloodhounds. do you see my vision
