Living in reverse
Arataka needed a second for his hands to stop shaking before he went back to trying to get the office key into the lock. On days like that, it would almost have been better not to bother getting out of bed. Nothing had gone right for them, and just the thought of having to fight with the insurance company was giving him a headache. If he didn't have enough, to top off the crappy day, Taka had managed to piss Katsuya off. His boyfriend hadn't spoken to him in the hour and a half they had been cooped up on the train, sitting next to each other. All Taka wanted was to be able to go home and take a hot shower. His whole body still ached and he just hoped he wouldn't end up a walking bruise in the morning.
"Finally!" Taka shouted in triumph after too long fighting with the deadbolt.
The door opened with a sharp creak. Katsuya could have ended his suffering in an instant and not had to be subjected to the embarrassment of feeling stupid in the middle of the hallway but it was clear that the day had worn out his patience as well. Taka stepped back, letting him pass. It was clear that Katsuya wasn't around to put up with his nonsense.
The office was in gloom at that time of the afternoon, with the blinds drawn. Sooner or later, Taka was going to have to consider looking for a new receptionist but the numbers were not enough for another salary and, after too many incidents, the idea of having another high school kid for three hundred yen an hour was no longer so tempting.
Taka missed having Tome in the office.
At twenty-five she wasn't much more normal than she had been at sixteen but Taka wouldn't have expected things to be any different either. Tome was always going to be Tome, no matter how much time passed. Luckily, she still occasionally lent them a hand when her work at the Ufology Museum left her some time but it wasn't the same.
Taka couldn't help but nostalgically remember the day she had shown up at the office announcing that from that moment on she was going to work there. Taka had the impression that it had been just yesterday but it had been more than nine years ago. It almost seemed incredible that after all that time they were still keeping alive the tradition of celebrating New Year's Eve at Mount Shipwreck, even if it was just the two of them.
With a sigh, Taka closed the door behind him and began to remove his scarf and gloves. Katsuya's taciturn silence was beginning to grate on his nerves. His boyfriend hadn't even bothered to take off his coat. He seemed frozen in the middle of the office, his gaze staring into space. This time, Taka must have really pissed him off if he didn't even deign to tell him he wasn't in the mood to talk.
"Are you going to keep not talking to me much longer?" Taka growled when he finally couldn't take it anymore. "I'm sorry, okay?"
The last thing he needed at that moment was another argument with Katsuya. Taka was too tired and they were getting too old to go on with the same tired stories.
"I'm sorry." Katsuya's blunt tone was like a sledgehammer against his chest. "You always say that but are you really sorry?"
"Katsuya, nothing happened." Taka left his coat folded against the arm of his desk chair. "Nothing that a few hours of sleep won't cure."
"Do you even understand why I'm pissed?" Katsuya turned slowly, glaring at him.
Taka had never quite gotten used to their inquisitive stares and how they made him feel like an insect under an entomologist's needle. Wide open, there was little to hide when no one knew him as well as Katsuya did.
"I'm not a complete idiot." Taka rubbed the bridge of his nose. At least he hoped Katsuya understood why he'd done it. "I couldn't let that kitsune stay in the kid's body and it was our best option. We finally worked it out like always!"
"You could have ended up in the hospital again! Or you could have died!" Katsuya yelled raising his arms. "And the worst part is that you don't care!"
"But I'm fine! I don't understand why you have to get all worked up when nothing happened!"
"Nothing?! For you today was nothing? And what am I supposed to do the day I'm too late? This time Shigeo wouldn't have been here to fix it! For how smart you are, sometimes you can be so stupid!"
"Katsuya, drop it. We're tired, we're not going to fix anything right now." Taka tried to lighten the mood. "We'll look at it all differently tomorrow."
"Why, so you can blow the whole thing over again?" Katsuya grabbed him by the arm, his fingers sinking into the flesh. "How many more times am I going to have to watch you disregard your life like that? It's not today, it's so many times. Do you really care if you live or not?"
"I have you here with me." Taka pinned his gaze to the ground. The last thing he wanted was to have to answer that question.
"That's not what I asked you." Katsuya sighed defeatedly. "At least promise me you'll see someone. Please, Taka, we can't go on like this."
"I'm fine! Why would I need a shrink?"
"There'd be nothing wrong with that! It's fine for me, and for you it's what? Some kind of offense? There's nothing wrong with needing help - it was you who taught me that!"
"Do as I say and not as I do" Taka wrenched his arm out of Katsuya's grasp. "I'm fine, have I ever not been fine?"
"It's impossible to win with you, isn't it?" Katsuya dropped onto the sofa and hid his face beneath his hands. "If I wasn't here, would you have taken the case?"
"No, I'm not that much of an idiot. without an ESPer? It would have been suicide."
It wasn't as if Taka could keep calling Mob no matter when and expect him to drop everything just to rush to his rescue. The last time they had spoken had been for the kid's birthday and the call hadn't lasted more than five minutes.
"I guess that's all I needed to hear." Katsuya stood up grabbing his black backpack. "I need some time to think."
"Think? What?" Taka grabbed him by the wrist before he could cross the threshold. "I don't understand, where are you going?"
"I'll be at my mother's for a few days. Maybe it would be good for you to think too." Katsuya looked at him, defeat etched on his face. "But we can't go on like this. I'm not going to be the one to blame for you to keep putting yourself at risk when there's no need. I-I can't be responsible for- for-"
"But it wouldn't be your fault! It was me who decided to get into this business. I was doing this long before I met you. You can't think that"
"If it wasn't for me you wouldn't even have been there!" Katsuya shouted without letting him finish his sentence.
"And that kid would still be possessed!"
"So what, it's not your responsibility! Shinra or any other Rising Sun psychic could have taken care of it! You could have been doing anything else!"
"Like what, selling water coolers?"
"And why not, too boring for your ego, is that it?" Katsuya's words stabbed at him like poisoned darts. "You think I like watching you stay awake trying to square the numbers when we both know they don't add up? And for what?"
"Do you really have to ask?" Taka couldn't quite believe what he was hearing. "I guess you're right and we both need to think. I'm sorry for being nothing but a disappointment."
"You know that's not what I meant. No matter what I tell you, you see everything as an attack. Sometimes I think you like to drag us all into your misery when the only one who doesn't care for you is yourself. I just hope someday someone manages to make you understand that." Katsuya looked at him one last time before closing the door behind him.

The Archon listened to every word he spoke, and he was right. For many moons, she allowed the people of Inazuma to suffer, barely hanging on due to her inability to deal with grief and death, as well as her bare acknowledgment to her role; she lacked the sight to see the bigger picture and it took the traveller to open up her eyes. This did not mean by any means that she was forgiven by her people. She did not fully understand why people still treated her as a God, but she knew one thing was clear; fear was a contributing factor. The way they stare at her as if she could turn back into the monster she was before always got to her emotionally, though she never liked to admit it. Becoming who she was today was a big achievement, and she never once intended to allow that suffering to happen again to her people.
Not to mention that she had not even attempted to search for Neka. Ei did not cling to hope, rather she assumed that he had died. It was an insult to the kitsune. Her heart hung with guilt and sorrow for him. Had she realised that there was hope he could be alive, she would have gone looking for him in an instant. “I see…” her response was so casual, as if she had been told something small and insignificant. When really, her mind was reeling. The amount of hate he had towards her was intense. It just seemed to keep growing rather than dying down. All that time ago, when she had met him … the adoration he had for Makoto was overwhelmingly beautiful. She could not blame him for being the opposite with her. Regardless, it had to be dealt with. He was clearly not going to calm down any time soon.
“I cannot blame you for being angry, coming back to present day Inazuma to learn that I had neglected the duties passed to me by my sister and furthermore… allowed the people of Inazuma to struggle for so long,” her voice was filled with deep regret - something she evidently could not hide from the Kitsune. “But I have changed. I am no longer who I used to be. Rather, I am more willing to put the work in to create a stable nation where my people can thrive. The Shogun is a part of that; she is a part of me.” She blinked. Slowly. As if to want to keep her eyes on him.
Ei then boldly walked closer to him, up until she was at least three feet away. “What would satisfy you?” The question seemed almost too … out of touch. She simply wanted to give him something - anything - that would result in the old him. Ei had deeply missed Neka, despite always seeming to dislike his personality. He was charming and grew on her as time passed. “I will do my best to give you anything. Whatever you demanded of me.” Even if it was a fight, she was … perhaps not so willing to go through what she had to with Chiyo, but she would most definitely fight him if she had to.
Of course, she could not imagine what else he could want other than a fight. Perhaps stability? Would he even want what Makoto once gave him? He seemed too angry… and yet, the thought lingered a little longer than she had anticipated. By this point, her emotions had overwhelmed her. “I… I have missed you.” It was barely a whisper. She then lurched forward and held him in her arms, her fingers caressing his hair. “I’m… sorry I failed you.” Even if he were to kill her now, which is likely (in her eyes at least), she would be happy knowing he was okay and satisfied overall.

【Kozuki Hiroyi / Komurasaki】 The Ending Of Our Story - Final Part
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I do not go to the brothel as often as I did anymore, but I still went, and she still played for me. I wanted to apologize for what I did the other day, but my pride made me swallow everything that came to my throat. Instead, I sent her money and jewelry. I told her I liked her too, but maybe she thought I wasn’t serious. I didn’t know if I was serious or not either, but I suppose it doesn’t matter.
Until the day they arrived. The Straw Hats. Their spirit was something I never had, and I envied them. They still think they can defeat Kaido although failing multiple times. They’ll never have their way, I thought.
So much happened during the days when they were here, what a pain. Maybe things will get better when the fire festival comes, when Kaido kills that brat.
I held the newspaper that announced Komurasaki’s death, and I laughed.
“Is it really not a problem?” My subordinate asked carefully.
“No, not at all.” I knew Hiyori wouldn't die this easily, especially if the one who “killed” her was Kyoshiro.
The day came sooner than I thought. It was a mess in Kaido’s mansion.
I can’t believe Black Maria lost that easily, I thought as I attacked the living bones in my Kitsune form.
“Ouch ouch ouch ouchhh! I didn’t know foxes eat bones!” Brook shouted.
“You’re not getting out of here alive.” You sneered, “None of you.”
“Oh my, what harsh words.” The raven haired woman covered her mouth.
“I know you, Nico Robin. We’re similar, don’t you think? Why don’t you come and work for Kaido, we’ll both get our revenge on the government.” I said, but she shook her head.
“I never wanted any revenge, I have friends now, they’re all I need. The only goal of my life is to find the missing history.” She replied, “We’re not similar at all. I have friends, and you don’t.”
I grit my teeth, “how ungrateful,” I murmured and launched for an attack.
It was successful at first, I managed to hit her to the ground. But the skeleton was harder to deal with, he was fast.
“I heard what happened to you.” Robin spoke again through her panting. “But don’t you think you should raise your head and look up now? Being blinded by revenge would only make you lose more!” She crossed her arms in front of her chest, Brook stood next to her with a defense stance.
“Shut up and focus on the fight!” I barked.
“Pardon me, lady, but do you really think you’re alone right now? You’re breaking the heart of the one who loves you!” Brook shouted.
“Love? Don’t make me laugh.” I noticed that I was barely attacking anymore, but only blocking their attacks.
“Do you really want Hiyori to live her life in disappointment? She loves you, can’t you see?!” Robin gritted her teeth and she released her final attack.
“It’s time to wake up.” Added brook as he sliced my left arm off, blood splattered everywhere and I fell down the giant hole of the mansion made by Robin. “You’re free.”
My eyes widened as I saw the left arm, with the gun scar, the rose tattoo, and the print of the soaring dragon. Then suddenly my life flashed before my eyes. I felt pain, but I didn’t scream. I felt the hope that left me years ago come back. Tears rushed out and I closed my eyes.
I saw her, Kozuki Hiyori. She was playing her shamisen with her mask on like always, I could see tears dripping off her chin, and I felt regret. I was so blind back then, I couldn’t see her love for me. But was I really deserving her love? Me, who no longer has a clean body, me, who has murdered people and caused suffering. Why do you love me, Hiyori?
A mix of emotions came across my chest, I couldn’t breathe. But Hiroyi, my dear, I want to live now, more than any other moments of my life.

its >:D anon who likes to make cute boys (kyojuro) suffer. i noticed you're on a kitsune run. consider snuggling up to kitsune kyo in winter, he's so warm. human-you doesn't know winter's mating season. around december he starts taking extra care of you. feeding you. touching more. nesting in fabric with your scent. he gets so hot you think he's sick. you go to find meds. his hormones go crazy. his mate's missing. maybe you want a human. you don't want him. you'll be tackled when you return c:
Awww, honey bun with student Kyojuro + crush on the reader, right? It's good to see you♡♡♡ (if cute, then why doesn't suffer </3)
I love your style;;; I like short sentences so much <3
MATE
Kyojuro is so nervous and restless — especially if he has only recently become a Deity and still resembles a puppy during estrus with his aggressive activity. Excited, constantly doing something, loud and noisy — but becomes so phlegmatic closer to winter.
Sometimes he is lazier, more often snuggles up to you to find warmth, and squeezes you a little tighter than usual with his tails, then he is more active — building a lot of nests of your and your clothes, clinging tightly to your body and asking you to stay with him longer, not moving and letting him be next to you.
When the first snow falls, he carefully covers your feet with another blanket every night, snuggles up to you like a warm ball and purrs, burying his nose in your neck, as if he is guarding you. Like a reminder of the old golden summer that tries to find a place next to you, even if sometimes there is too much of him — and his warmth, and his heaviness; but when he humming, hiding you from the night, you fall asleep faster than you thought.
Kyojuro cooks more often (and even if he's not the best at it, you can feel his skill getting better with each of his attempts to feed you), purrs more often and buries himself in your neck or chest, looking for your closeness. Coos, trying to gently stroke your hair or awkwardly give you a massage, trying not to scratch with his claws — but blushes when you take care of him in response, shyly wagging his tail and loudly thanking you.
After the first snow, the beginning of winter comes with a blizzard and icy frosts, from which your cheeks turn red.
Kyojuro kisses your hands, gently pressing his lips to your skin, burning hot traces, and even his bright, like burning coals, eyes glow in the dark like two lanterns. He purrs more often, coos more often, hides in nests and wraps his tails around you, clinging to you as if tied.
Hot, affectionate, soft, with a bright blush and a soft tail that wraps around you more and more often, not letting you get far away from him. The paw gently strokes your back as he presses you to him, almost burning with his warmth like the summer sun.
And when Kyojuro can't get out of the nest, whimpering and not showing up to meet you, you only realize what is happening.
He's sick.
You have to find medicines. But where? Go to the locals from the village? Try to find it in the vault? You- nothing will happen if you disappear for a couple of days, right?
Right?
You really don't understand what went wrong when he growls at you, pinning you to the floor to prevent you from running away from him. But you feel it's going to be a long conversation. Very long.
Because he's hot and definitely not sick.

Ughhh this has taken me three days. I initially planned on shading them too, but I’m running out of motivation. I might still do it at a later date, but for now I’ll just share these flat-color versions. My faves are probably Amalia and Belladonna (bottom LEFT two, I initially wrote right and why do I keep mixing left and right up now lmao)
Texts in case my horrible hand-writing isn’t readable:
Top right:
Akiko: Sibling bonding! Toshiko: Do we have to?
Top left:
Haname: You seem to like the treat my husband recommended you! Ayame: It is...good, I suppose.
Middle right:
Katana: Raitei, get your toy off my soup.
(Also, short summary of each character below if you’re curious:)
Top left: Akiko & Toshiko are half-siblings, they share the same dad. Their parents were in a polyamorous relationship with each other (Not case of dude with two wives, but three bi/pan people together)
Top right: Haname is a light witch, and Ayame is a snow-woman who guards her family/was close with Haname’s ancestor back when she was still a human.
Middle left: Yui, a spider woman. She seems spooky there, but mostly she’s pretty silly and mischievous in a more harmless way. (She can still be scary) She no longer has her own physical body but lives within her son’s soul and can sometimes solidify her spirit form around him.
Middle: Hanabi, Haname’s teenage daughter who loves explosive spells.
Middle left: Katana, Toshiko’s mother who suffers from amnesia and severe migraines, can’t sadly remember her daughter.
Bottom left: Amalia, an antagonist with reptilian themed demon powers. Belladonna’s GF
Bottom Middle: Belladonna, a witch specializing in poisons. Amalia’s GF, also an antagonist
Bottom Right: Taiga, an arctic kitsune whose family was killed by humans, causing her to grow to resent most of them. Also an antagonist though less “villainous” as the other two ladies.

The Enforcers: Part 7 (Geto Suguru x Fem!Reader)

Your toes. You can feel your toes. And your knees.
Knees... knees... why do you remember knees?
Oh yeah, Suguru shot the guard's knees. You hope they're alright as you wiggle your right hand. Left hand? Left hand. It's being held by someone. Someone warm. Someone breathing slowly. Asleep.
A nasty, dull ache resounds from your lower left side. No, that's not good.
Your eyes snap open, scanning the room carefully before landing on the sleeping figure beside your bed. Suguru.
Your mouth feels like it's packed with cotton, or else you would speak up and get his attention, but he's fully asleep, eyes closed off to the world. You tenderly squeeze his hand, but he doesn't wake up, head resting on the edge of the couch pulled close to your gurney.
What happened?
Where are you?
You assume everything is okay because you and Suguru haven't been separated, but you can't be too sure. Finally, the door creaks open, and you watch a woman come in and jump a little.
"You're awake," the brown-haired woman whispers, and you nod, blinking slowly. "Good. We were hoping you wouldn't be out for much longer."
"Ho--" your voice cracks, and the lady gets you a bottle of water from the table beside the gurney. You drink it greedily before she answers with certainty.
"A week."
A week?? The lady must see the surprise on your face because she immediately launches into an explanation.
"You were pretty hostile when we first got you in here, pulling out breathing tubes and cursing us out, but once we got you sedated and into surgery, everything became much better."
"Nnnn..." Suguru lifts up off the couch, angling his neck around as he turns to look at the woman. "Y/n..." He almost falls off of the couch with how quickly he tries to stand up, instantly coming to your side. "How do you feel?" he wonders, kissing your knuckles.
"Like hell," you moan, and he chuckles a little, kissing the back of your hand. "I was really out for a week?"
"Yeah," he breathes, sighing heavily. "But you'll be up and moving in no time. Shoko is an expert at removing bullet wounds." Shoko smiles, leaving the two of you alone in the room once she replaces your water bottle.
"Where are we?" At Suguru's grim expression, you fear the worst possible answer, and you get it almost immediately.
"The Fallen Sun District." Fallen Sun... Where all of the exiles of the Kitsune and Leviathans go. The Grand Sun District is hours away, maybe even a full day's journey. You're fugitives now.
"Won't they come looking for us here?" you gasp, trying to sit up.
"No, no, no," the former Leviathan urges you, pressing you back down onto the gurney. "They can't reach us here. We're in the heart of the district."
"It's dangerous here." You can't help the whine escaping from your throat. "Suguru, why here of all places?"
"It's the only place that's safe for us, y/n. I couldn't take you anywhere that would be able to treat your wound and keep us under the radar without Toji or Yuki finding out. This is the only place they don't care about."
"What about Gojo?"
"What about him?" Geto asks, eyes darkening.
"That's your friend; he--"
"No one who is that deep in the CSB is my friend." Wait... "I'm going to let you rest. I'll come back to check on you in a few hours."
"Su." He stops before he reaches the door, turning back to face you. "You knew about the files before I showed them to you, didn't you?"
Geto Suguru. (released)
"And you wanted me to get rid of them, even though you said you would find out who planted them on my computer. But you never did. You just needed me to keep quiet until you found a way out of the situation." Suguru's face doesn't move; he just waits for you to finish up your conclusion. "You put the files on my computer. But you didn't expect me to go and tell anyone about it." He raises his brow, grimacing.
"You put a lot of people in jeopardy by telling Yuki what you knew."
"You expected me to stay silent and then run away, didn't you? Or worse, be exiled. But they went a step further and tried to have us killed. That's why they wanted the thumb drive. They had no idea that information had been leaked and assumed it was Kenjaku doing this." Your voice rises exponentially as the truth unravels in front of you.
"It was Kenjaku," Suguru states plainly. "It is Kenjaku." Horror floods your veins, and you sit in the bed in shock.
"You're Kenjaku." Panic. Your synapses misfire rapidly, and you see the man in front of you press his lips together, but you're not in the gurney. You're far away, outside of your body, as the realization that you were paired with the man responsible for so much death and destruction sets in. "You gave them the destination of the computer room, too. You knew the jig was up."
"I knew you were smarter than they gave you credit for. But you don't have my side of the story, you see. You don't know why."
"Tell me, then."
"When you're raised in the Fallen Sun district, all you know is suffering and loneliness. The CSB took everyone I loved and turned them into criminals for speaking the truth about their corruption. So... I joined their ranks and gained control of the Fallen Sun District. However, Yu happened to find out my little secret, and I dealt with it the best way I knew how at the time. His death still haunts me, but I took a drastic step out of panic."
"You would've killed me, too."
"No," he tilts his head to the side and bites the inside of his lip. "No, you aren't like Yu. You had doubts about everything before I put those things on your desktop. I just wanted to see if they would push you over the edge." Suguru shrugs. "And it worked. I just didn't expect to fall for you as hard as I did; unfortunately, there's no going back from that." Suguru inches toward the door, his black locks pulled up and away from his face, unlike how he kept it before. "But I don't regret it at all," are his final words before he shuts and locks the door, trapping you in the hospital room.

Innuendo
A Very Destiel Series
If you asked Castiel, something was definitely wrong with Dean. Of that, he had no doubt. Whatever it was that bothered him, Castiel also knew that were he to get to the bottom of it, he must tread lightly. Press too hard on Dean Winchester and he'd bottle up tighter than the lid on a pickle jar. But when the possibility of a hunt distracts them, Castiel is forced to put his concerns aside and focus on the task at hand. Unfortunately for them both, the case reveals far more about themselves than they ever anticipated.

Part III - I'm Going Slightly Mad
Summary: At the end of a long and frustrating day interviewing eye-witnesses, Dean, Sam, and Castiel head to a diner. The mystery of What's Eating Dean Winchester continues to confound Castiel. Warnings/Tags: Arguing, angst, case-talk, a little verbal abuse, talk of human psychosis, little bit of PTSD Characters/Pairings: Castiel, Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester Word Count: 2,038 Song: I'm Going Slightly Mad - Queen

Dean rushed through the front door and strode for the car without a departing word. Castiel followed with Sam in tow, but neither made any effort to catch up. When Dean reached the driver’s door, he wrenched it aside, dropped onto the bench seat, and slammed the car shut with a resounding crunch. There, he practically pouted, arms folded and face scrunched in a furious scowl. So Castiel stopped a stride shy of the rear passenger door, unsure of what to do. After listening to five eyewitnesses tell infuriatingly conflicting stories, Dean was exhausted.
And Castiel could hardly blame him. He had silently watched Dean unravel over the course of the day. The three of them had arrived in Newburyport late the night before, and with too little sleep, had set out that morning far too early. Despite several stops for coffee throughout the day, nothing had improved Dean’s mood. In fact, with each interview, his demeanor steadily soured until he had gone mute, face red with rage.
A part of Castiel understood. So many differences in their stories with too few connecting threads. He, too, felt as if he were losing his mind. Whenever he tried to fit all those testimonies together for more than a few seconds, his head spun, incapable of focusing any longer. Between that and Dean’s behavior the last few days, Castiel worried that the madness humans so often suffered had already sunk its claws into his own unfortified mind. Racing thoughts leaped from one possibility to the next, paranoia exacerbated. Too many, and too varied, those theories. Too demented. How could they make sense of it all, and fast? Before anyone else was killed?
“Why do you think they all saw something different?” he asked no one in particular.
Sam froze as he grasped the door handle, then turned and considered Castiel with a curious tilt to his head. “I’m not sure. Neither kitsune nor wraiths appear as anything other than human, like you said. I think we’re missing something. Could be something new, something capable of manipulating minds. Could be very old, and it hasn’t had to feed in forty years. Could be something we were just lucky to miss until now. Whatever it is, I don’t think we’ve seen it before.”
Castiel’s stare slid to Dean, and he sighed. “That’s possible.” He paused there, and his focus retrained on his own reflection, dark and scowling in the pale glass. Something about the case troubled him deeply. But he could compile no words to describe what that something was.
He turned to Sam then, and said, “The only connecting thread is that the creature was enormous, at least nine feet tall, and hooded. Cloaked. Do… vampires don’t usually wear cloaks anymore, right?”
“Vampires don’t eat brains. And no, nobody really wears cloaks anymore…” Sam’s voice trailed to nothing as a thoughtful glimmer caught his eye. “Not unless you’re—”
The passenger window rolled down, and Dean shouted, “Hey, nerds, get in the car, I’m starving!”
That knowing gleam brightened a flash of understanding in Sam’s eyes. “I think you’re onto something, Cas.” Then he smiled as he popped the handle and settled in the front seat, face buried in his phone.
Dean leaned over Sam and shouted again. “C’mon, man! Quit daydreaming!”
Castiel startled at his outburst, then opened the car and slid into the backseat. Before he could speak, Dean started the car and sped away, drowning out anything he might have tried to say. Though he remained silent, the car was anything but. Once again, Queen blasted from the speakers. Sam appeared unphased as he typed on his phone, searching, seeking. And Dean drummed along on the wheel, head nodding to the beat.
Within a minute, Dean located a small restaurant and pulled into the parking lot. Before he shut off the car, Sam exited, thoroughly engrossed in his research. Then the music cut and the engine silenced with a final revolution, but Dean made no move to leave.
“What’s up his ass?”
Castiel followed Dean’s nod through the windshield. Sam stood on the sidewalk, glued to his phone as he leaned against a signpost.
“He might have a lead,” Castiel suggested. “At least, I think he does. I hope he does.”
“Hm. Me too.” Dean turned over the backrest, a small, pained look on his face. ”You up for this? I know it’s… you’re still getting used to the whole human thing.”
“I’m fine, Dean,” he said. “It’s you I’m worried about.”
“Nah, man, I’m good, just a shitty day.”
Of course, he would dismiss Castiel’s concerns. “To be honest, I do feel a little out of sorts. Like my head just…”
Dean filled the silence. “Few cards short of a full deck? Loose screw… that one always throws me, could have so many meanings.”
“Like… in that song?”
Dean turned to the cassette player, then back to Castiel with a small smile. “Sorta. But loose screws are… it’s a… you know how uh, some folks don’t really stick with one person?”
“Is this another euphemism for casual sex?”
A stare flattened his face, and then Dean turned to his door. “Dammit, Cas, you always gotta make it so fucking weird,” he growled as he exited.
One day, he thought. One day, they would be able to talk honestly, openly. But that day felt eons away. Castiel rushed from the car and hurried after Dean, sidestepping Sam’s distracted dawdling. A quick look over his shoulder confirmed Sam’s attention was wholly diverted, so he turned back to Dean.
“I wasn’t trying to make the conversation weird.” He paused, but Dean said nothing. “I’d just rather communicate clearly instead of using confounding riddles.”
Again, Dean said nothing. Like a laser, his attention had focused on the diner’s door, and he headed straight for it. He reached, grasp flying to the handle as though he couldn't get inside fast enough, as though salvation from Castiel's persistence lay just beyond that door. But Castiel caught up to him, and without a second thought, he waylaid Dean's hand. Not aggressively. No. Much the opposite. With all the grace left to him, Castiel merely placed his fingertips to the back of Dean’s hand. And Dean stopped, his stare transfixed on Castiel.
Time suspended in that subtle connection. The seconds stretched as if to give them a fighting chance. Only one valid option presented itself, and so Castiel pulled, ever so gently. But that gesture, that infinitesimal yet insistent bid for attention, proved plenty. Dean’s eyes widened a fraction, but that minuscule shift, barely discernible, brightened his otherwise grim countenance. An opening, one so inviting Castiel seized his chance. “What am I missing? Is there something you need to ask me? Tell me?”
Impossible. No, he must have imagined it. How many times in thirteen years had they grasped one another’s hands? Whether to help or to heal, the reason had never mattered. Not until that very moment, it seemed. It happened as though rote; Dean’s fingers slipped through his palm and laced with his, and for a brief, glorious, unadulterated second, everything made sense. Mutual. Dean understood. Surprise and relief and wonder brightened his too-pretty eyes, and it took every ounce of Castiel’s human willpower not to weep.
Dean Winchester understood.
“I think it’s an illithid.”
Dean snatched his hand back and tore his stare away. Through a cough, he asked, “A what?”
“It’s a… myth? Comes from Lovecraftian horror,” Sam said.
Castiel could have throttled him if they weren’t in public. He might yet. Later. At the motel. Maybe. With his frustration quelled, he pulled the door aside and ushered them ahead. Inside, crowded booths and long lines suggested a wait, so they shuffled through the throng for the counter. Against his better judgment, Castiel wedged ahead of Sam—distracted anew by his phone—for a stool beside Dean.
Though they stood at least a foot and a half apart, their elbows connected as they sat, barely brushing against one another. Together, they leaned into the counter, and out of the corner of his eye, Castiel watched the pink blossom across Dean’s nose as he shifted just so, leaving an inch between them. Then his stare snapped to Castiel’s, and his breath caught in his throat.
But before Castiel could recover, their waitress arrived and took their orders. Thankfully, she left despite Dean’s inviting smile and suddenly cheery demeanor. Not that Castiel envied her; he would never wish any kind of embarrassment on Dean when it came to women. But it hardly seemed to bother him when he leaned past Castiel and spoke to Sam.
“Are you trying to say that a squid-faced Old God madness creature is sucking people’s brains out of their skulls?” he grumbled.
“Octopus-face, yes, but, when you put it that way, it sounds ridiculous,” Sam muttered.
“Of course it sounds ridiculous, it is fucking ridiculous,” Dean hissed. “You’re talking about freakin’ Cthulhu here like it’s some sorta game! People are dying!”
“I know that!” Sam spat. “Does it look like I’m laughing or-or not taking this seriously? We’ve got one fucking lead, and this is all any of us have come up with so far. What the hell else do you want me to do?!”
It was then that Castiel remembered why he never sat in between them if he could help it.
“Nothing,” Dean snapped as the waitress returned with their drinks. He waited for her to leave with a side-eyed glare. “If Illithid is all we’ve got, then we better figure out where it’s hiding and fast.”
“A harbor is going to be the best place to start.” Both of their glares snapped to him, and Castiel sat taller. “What? I’ve read all of H.P. Lovecraft’s novels. Oceans and harbors are common themes. Allegory for the depths of human madness.”
Sam shrugged with an approving frown that compared to that of a sturgeon, then returned to his phone.
But Dean? A second passed before Castiel felt his lingering stare. When he looked, he found one eyebrow angled towards his hairline, a small, crooked smile, and not a hint of anger. “You know, I’m kinda disappointed I didn’t think of that.”
“You’ve read Lovecraft?”
Dean nodded. “He had a unique way of describing fear. Something that really spoke to me. Sure, there’s all sorts of monsters and insane shit in this world. And yeah, people suck ass from time to time.” He paused then, eyes drifting to his drink. “But Lovecraft really nailed the worst fear of all: the unknown. Because humans? We’re… animals. Primal. We fill in the blanks with our worst assumptions out of instinct, an intense need for survival. And what is instinct but fear?”
Why? Why did it have to be that moment, in a public place, that Dean would bear his whole damn heart, his soul to him in such a poetic flourish that it rendered Castiel speechless?
“Ah, never mind.” His easy smile and weary gaze returned to him. “Maybe I just like squid-faces. Tentacles are kinda cool.”
“Is that another euph—”
“No!” Another burst of color slashed across his face. “No, dammit, just… look, Cas, I’m glad you’re here, and I’m so damn glad you actually remembered shit you’ve read. I don’t think I could have taken much more of this. It’s maddening.”
“You would have figured it out eventually,” he began. “I imagine you’re exhausted. I am.”
Dean’s stare darkened as he asked, “Are you alright?”
His heart skipped a beat, a new sensation in recent months for Castiel. And the source of those palpitations? Dare he even ask? Another flutter sucked the air from his lungs at the mere suggestion of a pattern. “I think so,” he breathed. “Still getting used to some things.”
“Yeah, I bet,” Dean mused with a side-long stare. “We should head to the harbor tonight.”
That dragged Sam’s attention away from his phone. “Looks like there are a couple of warehouses down at the docks. Some smaller buildings, too. Old things. We’re gonna have our work cut out for us. Lots of places to hide.”
Dean’s wicked half-grin sent a chill down Castiel’s spine.
“Between the three of us, I’d wager a face-hugger will find one of our brains interesting enough.”

A kitsune!Sonja headcanon that kind of turned into a full oneshot plan but I wanted to post anyway:
-- Sonja is a young (though still very old by human standards) kitsune that lives in a manor hidden in an enchanted woodland, not far from a coastal settlement. She's been in the woods for as long as the settlement has existed, more or less minding her own buisness away from the humans.
-- Despite her best attempts, her presence is known, mostly as a urban legend of a nine-tailed fox that curses those that enters the woods. The rumours started after a particular annoying hunter kept coming into Sonja's woods in an attempt to trap her who she ended up giving her scare with her fox-fire and cursing them to be unable to hunt animals again. Since then she's suffered wannabe hunters coming into her woods to attempt to capture or kill the 'supernatural beast', with those that don't get scared off by her illusions sharing the same cursed, simply so she can have some peace.
-- Because of this, Sonja rare visits the settlement, though she does sometimes visit in her human form, using her illusion magic to cover her fox features. She's seen the settlement grow to a small city, though her visits are short and sometimes years apart.
-- During one of her visits, she gains unexpected attention from a young woman. Though she doesn't talk to her, Sonja can see her watching her, looking away with a blush when they make eye contact, and giving her with a rose before Sonja can leave. Despite not being sure what to make of the human, she decides to return far, far sooner than she normally would. It's in her next visit that she learns that the woman is called Capsize and is a young pirate captain.
-- Despite her more regular visits, Sonja isn't quite sure what to make of Capsize. If she's trying to court her or simply wants to be friends, but she finds herself deeply enjoying her company, even if some other humans find it their buisness to warn her that Capsize is dangerous, talking about a 'bounty'. Sonja ignores them.
-- Capsize is oblivious to the fact that Sonja is a kitsune, though she knows there's something odd about her. She doesn't live in the city, and her visits don't line up with boats or caravans from any one location. Though it confuses her, she doesn't bring it up out of fear of scaring Sonja off.
-- A while into their friendship, Sonja asks Capsize about the woods, wanting to know what humans think about her now. Capsize tells her that the woods are home to a nine-tailed fox that curses hunters to be incapable of ever catching an animal again. Then, to Sonja's surprise, she says that the hunters who go there deserve to get cursed as if they didn't attempt to hunt the fox it would leave them very much uncursed.
-- Sonja is surpised but comforted by Capsize's thoughts. Though she isn't 100% sure when she'll tell Capsize that she's a kitsune, she hopes her thoughts mean she won't be terrified or feel betrayed.
-- One day, Sonja senses humans in her woods, she prepares to scare them off with her illusions, only to be shocked to not see hunters looking for her, but two amoured individual with an unconcious Capsize. She hears them discussing the bounty they're going to collect, realising that they're getting money for Capsize and becomes enraged, remained of the hunters who come after her. She shows herself, attacking with her fox-fire relentlessly and cursing them as they retreat.
-- Capsize awakens awhile later, now in Sonja's home, confused as to what happened to the bounty hunters. Then Sonja enters, no longer hiding her ears and tails in her human form. Capsize melts, realising that Sonja, the woman she's been crushing on, is both a mystial fox goddess, and saved her. Her reaction causes Sonja to panic a little before she suddenly blurts out that she loves her.
-- Sonja reciproactes, they kiss, and have a nice fluffy ending with no angst.

memories of the forest
Katsuki Bakugou x Reader;
Sky piercing trees loomed an unreachable canopy above her head as she raced through the forest’s lower jungle. Vines and upturning roots were nothing to her skilled bare feet. Dodging another low branch, the cheeky girl laughed to herself. Her clan would never be able to catch her here! Within Teair’s close knitted playground, this child of the sky wandered freely. Slowing down to a small stream, the girl perked up at the sound of a grass being moved. Something was here. Something….soft? Standing up and brushing off her deer skirt, she turned around to see her uninvited guest. She blinked, genuinely confused, as a vulpine beast with four tails sat in front of her. The tips of its tails were a soft autumn orange. It was….divine like. Nothing like Grandame Forneil, but close.
“Who are you?” The voice was male, but a child male. Close around her age...maybe. She would find out.
“I’m a daughter of the sky! Who are you?” the beast curled its tails around its feet. Seeming to observe her before answering.
“A beast of fire.” She laughed to herself, but not quiet at all.
“You are a land beast of flames!” The vulpine beast growled, quickly crouching down, ready to pounce. She only looked at the vulpine beast before giggling.
“Silly vulpine! You are land fire. I am -” the mighty roar of Grandame Gowyual trembled the loose dirt below the girl’s feet. Giggling louder, the girl finished her sentence. “- sky fire!”
It had been a few summers since she saw that land firefox of four tails. Ah...Kitsune, Grandame Forneil had explained the night of the fateful day. A Kitsune of four tails at such an age was a feat Forneil had continued on. She was lucky that Kitsune was curious about her, lest the beast grow bored and end her life. Sighing and shaking her braid behind her, the now young teen races through the same forest. This time, instead of playing hide & seek, she was practicing her tracking and hunting skills.
“Skills of a warrior. A survivor.” Grandame Locoful had croaked out before she left the nest with Grandame Forneil. Skidding to a halt and notching her arrow, focused gray eyes followed the peaceful deer. She was with a child, if the bigger belly was anything to go by. Removing her arrow and turning around, gray eyes locked on a sight of wonder. A golden kitsune with five tails, tipped in a familiar autumn tone. Ah…a fire kitsune. That’s when knowing crimson locked on her. Suddenly, she felt as if she was facing a true predator. A predator of many hunts and had victory in its tight bite. The kitsune rose, a head or two taller than her, and began to walk towards her. A small spark of fear struck her body, tensing her muscles. She was ready to fight. As the kitsune reached about a few paces ahead, the sudden breeze came. On its path...the smell of….smoke? Turning in the breeze’s direction, the girl saw the thick mog. Small, but growing rapidly.
“Stupid humans!” the girl mumbled under her breath. Was she human? She assumed not. After all, she lived with dragons. No mere mortal could live as long as she had. Glancing at the kitsune, who was watching her actions, the girl spoke in her serious voice as she stood up right.
“This is not the work of dragons. I will return with a dragon of water to save this forest.” The kitsune only tilted its head before speaking in a deep voice.
“A ride to a clearing may be the fastest way.” A kitsune making an offer? A trick if the situation wasn’t growing dire every minute. With a brisk nod, she walked over and carefully got on the furred back of the majestic beast. With ease, the beast ran through the thicket. No fur caught on low limbs and nothing hesitated the pathway. That’s when heavy clouds of ashy smoke filled the air and her breath. Fire. A forest fire caused by inattentive mortals.
“You will not reach the clearing in time.” fearing for the woods and the lives within, the girl hummed to herself before stretching both arms to the sky.
“Hear my cry! O’ beast of the lake. Take flight to the Azure’s Domain and bring the blessing of new beginnings! Locoful, dragon of Shiramizu! Hear me and cry out your blessing!” The heavy snaps of trees falling and the crackling of flames echoed back. Her cry was swallowed by the dire situation. The kitsune whacked her head.
“No dragon will hear you, imbecile.” She growled at the statement. Hoping it was false. Locoful would hear her. She always did.
“She will not abandon her fledgling.” The beast of fire exhaled heavily before turning around.
“Then at least be alive for her to save you.” Then, the Kitsune took off again. Running away from the flames. It is then, as the Kitsune jumped over a fallen log, a mighty roar and the sound of heavy crashing swallowed the air.
“Locoful!!” She cried, overjoyed, as the mighty dragon arrived. Within mere moments, the forest fire was put to rest and the mighty beast stared at her and the Kitusne. Slipping off the Kitsune’s back and reaching Locoful’s side, the girl spoke.
“See Kitsune, beast of land fire? Locoful will always answer her fledgling’s cry.”
It was hardly a season’s changing since the forest fire, when she found herself alone by the lake nest. Around her, curled protectively, laid Setluno. Setluno was a young dragon, half the age of Grandame Forneil. Setluno was the only one who played with her. Now, Setluno is forever embraced by the forest’s trees and the lake’s watery shoreline. In front of the nest’s entrance, Gowyral was delimbed and beheaded by a blade endowed with magic. The lake was boiling in rage as Gowyral fell. Locoful had died upon return to the nest, multiple poisonous arrows cracking her scales and the poison taking her life before she could finish her warning. Forneil was the only one alive. Yet, she was over a season’s change away. She wanted Forneil to come back. Avenge the nest. Protect her. Save her. She was scared and lonely. She was no beast of sky fire. She was a mortal. Just like those responsible for the death of her nestmates. So blinded by the emotions she felt and the events that occurred within three sun positions, she didn’t notice the lake’s water coming into the nest. Hardly felt the power shifting within her. Never noticed how she was no longer pooled in blood, but now in the sky, riding a mighty beast. Intended on killing those who took her nest.
He heard the mournful cry of a dragon before he saw one take flight. Yet, this dragon was not one of the physical planes. No. This dragon was alive by the sheer magic of a mortal. A mortal intent on bringing justice. His favorite mortal to be precise. What had happened? Taking off in pursuit, he saw how the dragon looked, searched, for something or someone. What mission required such measures of hunting and tracking? That’s when the tree sprites, Kodama, began to whisper.
“Dragons dead”
“Beast slain by man”
“Oyamatsumi is enraged”
“So is Ryujin and Fujin”
“The fledgling calls for blood.”
“She will kill everyone.” Fearing that his mortal might do just that, the Kitsune prayed to his given deity. Prayed that his human would have to take rest on the ground. Allow him a chance to guide her away from the path of evil.
“Please let me get to her in time. For the world will be chaos if she succeeds.”
Three summers have passed since that loss of her nest. She now ruled the forest with a close eye. Grandame Forneil was so broken by the deaths of her flightmates, she had taken her own life in the very same lake. Now, that lake was surrounded by beautiful flowers that would poison anyone who touched them. The only saving grace from them was if the person had suffered such a loss as she has. Now alone within the woods she called home, a thought passed her mind. Why her dragons? Why not her? This thought had haunted her for many nights and days. Nothing could stop these thoughts except the occasional hunting trips and killing off gluttonous men. Now, she stood in the lake’s shallow shores, naked under the sunlight. A bath after a recent hunting trip, when the snap of a branch caught her ear. Within a mere moment, she stood with her bow taunt and arrow notched, aimed at the noise. Only to see the familiar Kitsune. Yet, he now bore six tails. He had grown more powerful in the last three summers. They watched each other, waiting for the other to make a move, when she lowered her bow and set it on the sand.
“What, beast of land fire?” The Kitsune huffed, keeping its distance.
“You are not meant to be alone, mortal of flames. You need to be with others.” Gray eyes stared into crimson. She knew the Kitsune was correct. He usually was. Yet, to be with others meant risking another nest massacre. She couldn’t handle another heartbreak like that.
“Leave Kitsune.”
“You know my name. Use it.” She shook her head. A name meant power. Power she did not deserve. Suddenly, a warm cloth covered her shoulders and a man’s voice spoke closer to her.
“Y/N, the others miss you. The forest misses you! I...I miss you.” Warm arms enclosed her, making her heart beat faster and her mind filled with happy, joyous memories of younger times.
“Please...please don’t make me remember Kitsune.” The arms tightened, and the man’s voice returned.
“I will always remind you of the joy life can bring. But first, you must take my hand.”
She now stood before the overwhelming hearth of the mountain. She had found the murderers of her nest. The cause for her mourning. The cause of her grief. Today, she will return the favor. With her blade drawn and her eyes focused, Y/N was about to take the killing blow, when she saw the triplets resting in the mother’s arms. Suddenly, like ice had appeared, it sent shivers down her back. A mother and her children. Innocent children. With quick thoughts and quicker reflexes, she turned around and began to spirit back in the forest. The forest was now alive, gleaming with life. Yet, life that could be easily taken away.  Tears pricked her eyes and she tumbled down a hill. She could only feel the numbness in her heart. She had nearly repeated history again. With another family. Another generation of hurt and hate. Y/N closed her eyes, hoping for the tears to disappear. For this pain to leave.
He watched in slow motion as his mate, his Rook, leaped in front of him. Taking the killing blow from the monstrous demon Shi-gi. He watched, as his luminous flames encircled her body. A mortal with Kitsune Flames. Proof of their mate bond. He was enticed by the way she reached for the heavens, crying out for her deceased nestmates, and aimed her hands at Shi-gi.
“From the dust and stars, a life is born. To dust and star, life returns. From the mighty cry of a dragon and the plead of humanity, I fused the realms to grant my inner desire and wish!” He watched, as the five primordial deities appeared in forms of a phoenix, tiger, snake, tortoise, and….dragon. Together with his mate, the beings reached out their hands and gave power to her.
“I command the soul of Shi-gi to be bound to the realms of the inner Earth! May no beast, no mortal, no divine being find you. May you wirth in the chaos of the world and never be able to take part in its affairs! I bound thee to this plane and no other!! I banish you Shi-gi, from paradise and hell itself!!” His flames encircled her and suddenly, he remembered the price for banishment from Paradise. A soul for a soul.
“No!” He reached out, but only the feeling of his flames returned. His mate, now burning away in his flames, smiled at him.
“Find me again my love. In a time where you and I can co-exist without Shi-gi.”
He mourned to himself as the forest his love protected was burned by his flames. No. There was no world without her smile. No reason to continue if she wasn’t there. No point in existence. Turning around, ready to end his own and see her, a glimpse of something flashed through his mind’s eye. A girl, with amber hair and glowing eyes, running away from him in a playful manner. The same girl mocking his sharp teeth. The girl seeking the yokai realm for the first time. Then, the same girl bore his mark. A mark only he could create. Like lightning, he turned away from the murderous flames and ran through the woods. He couldn’t die. Just as his mate asked, he would find her again. Find her in a time where that cursed Shi-gi did not exist. His name is not even remembered by humanity. She had returned to the world of the living in some time. He would have to be there, ready and waiting, to meet her all over again.

Punishment
I’m pretty sure this was supposed to be a part two, to Interruption but I couldn’t be certain? Either way, enjoy!
Cheeky Kitsune 🦊💋
Tumblr media
“And how’s my little slut doing?”
Taishiro raised an eyebrow as he stepped into his bedroom, his eyes running over your vulnerable form, happy that the rope held for the entire day; restraining your wrists and ankles to the bed.
You had made the mistake of pushing him in front of his gang the day before and your punishment was harsh, to make sure there would be no repeat offenses. He had tied you up this morning, blindfolded you, gagged you and then pushed a rather thick toy inside of you that had a handy little remote that came with it; to control the vibration settings at a good distance.
How he loved playing with it, knowing you had been suffering through it here in his bedroom, helpless without him; it left him hard and aching to be buried inside of your warmth.
“Ah, right…right, you can’t answer me, can you?”
He chuckled to himself as he approached the bed, leaning down to remove the gag; stealing a demanding kiss before you could say a thing; or even catch your breath properly.
“Mm…you’re so cute like this kitten” He remarked, leaning back and sitting on the edge of the bed, large hand ghosting over your still trembling body; likely caused by the still-vibrating toy inside of you.
“Now. Tell me, did you learn your lesson?” His eyes narrowed as he spoke, fingers hovering over your soaked folds, not quite touching you yet; instead, eagerly awaiting your answer. If it was anything less than what he was expecting, he would have to punish you longer; maybe even for another day or two.
“Y-Ye..yes” Your voice was soft, barely able to stutter out your answer before his fingers pressed against your clit, teasing you for no longer than a few seconds before your body arched and shook from yet another, all too intense orgasm; his name escaping your lips in the form of a desperate cry.
“My, my, so sensitive…” Taishiro chuckled, pulling his fingers away from you before moving to release you from your restraints, the large toy inside of you the last thing to be removed, allowing you a moment to catch your breath.
“If this weren’t a punishment, I might consider letting you rest for the night, but, it is a punishment. Maybe next time, you’ll think twice before challenging what I say” He mused, moving so that he was above you, his hands working his pants until his dick was no longer confined by the uncomfortable material.
“W-Wait…wait…I can’t…please” You panted heavily, your face flushed as you stared up at him; your body hadn’t had nearly enough time to recover from the punishment you had endured for the day, there was no way you could take him without losing your mind completely.
“Oh, baby…yes, you can…don’t worry, I promise I’ll spoil you after”
The smile that tugged at his lips was warm and reassuring, making you gulp and move your arms around his neck slowly, accepting your task; whenever Taishiro promised you something, he would go through with it. For him to spoil you after this, it would be worth all the overstimulation.
He wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling your body flush against his while his other hand pressed into the mattress, keeping him steady as he rocked his hips up slowly; pushing his throbbing cock inside of your warm body, pulling a whimper from your lips.
Truthfully, Taishiro did feel a little guilty, making you endure this after an entire day of endless orgasms, but his hand just wouldn’t do the job this time.
“Shh, it’s okay baby…you can take it”
He whispered words of encouragement to you as his hips began to move, settling into a fast, messy pace; dragging moan after moan from your breathless body.
Your nails dug into his back through the thin button-up shirt he wore as he trailed kisses and bites along your sensitive neck, you couldn’t help it with what he was doing to you; your body couldn’t take it and yet, at the same time, it could.
You were taking it, it didn’t matter that each of his thrusts made you cry out and whimper from the pleasure, it felt good having him fuck you like this; so rarely did he hold you close and just pound away into you. It was only because of your punishment that he was being so loving with you in this moment and you cherished it, soft words of need spilling free as you began to lose yourself to his powerful thrusts and addictive kisses.
“Fuck, that’s it. I knew you could take it”
He groaned out his praise as his hips moved faster, his thrusts growing erratic as he neared his end, your hot walls already clamping down around him as yet another orgasm rocked through your body; dragging his name from your lips yet again, though this time it was in the form of a shout of overwhelming pleasure.
Taishiro buried his face in the crook of your neck as he continued to buck his hips up into your body hard, going still only when his hot, thick seed spilled into you; your own name falling free in the deepest groan you had ever heard from him.
The sound alone was worth the day’s struggle.
  “T-Taishiro…plea…please”
He panted heavily, trailing tender kisses over your cheek before carefully removing himself from your trembling body, gently lowering you down to the bed so that you could rest for a moment.
“Yeah, I know baby. You’re tired, aren’t you? You did so well, just let me get out of these clothes and I’ll start a nice hot bath, I promised right? So just relax, let me spoil you” He paused, leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead, chuckling at the weak slap to his arm; he loved your attitude, even with your exhaustion.
“I love you too, my beautiful queen.”

Vyzerre The Hive Knight
Thanks to a CERTAIN ASSHOLE IN MY DISCORD who got me addicted to Corruption of Champions and CoC2, I’ve been playing it nonstop for like two weeks at this point. So I decided to make a character sheet for my character as if he was an NPC that the Champion could recruit. I can sum up my experience with this one text.
Tumblr media
Vyzerre
This Hornetfolk Hive Knight can be found in the Frostwood, occupying one of the tiles on the right side of the split in the path just after Evergreens Cottage. Once a harem breeder of a Vesparan Hive, upon first glance he appears to have suffered the same Corruption as his brothers and sisters but not to the same extent as those encountered in the Old Forest.
Appearance
A nearly nude Vyzerre stands in front of you, he looks to be nearly six feet, impressive for a male vesparran. With a warm smile he takes his crossed arms away from his body, taking a more relaxed stance making it much easier to take in his toned muscles. His warm smile turns into more of a knowing grin the longer your eyes linger on him, long, cape-like wings protrude from his back seemingly ready to snap out from their stowed position and take flight.
One of his hands rubs at his chin as a shy blush comes across his face as your eyes travel further down his slender and athletic form. Copper Brown flesh only occasionally interrupted by thick black bands turns to thick, smooth and shiny black chitin at his otherwise humanoid elbows and knees. No doubt at one point it was perfectly smooth but the nicks and breaks in its surface not fully healed shows that the natural armor only proves to further the aura and image of the domineering knight that you know Vyzerre as… at least when you're not gazing at him causing him to fidget.
Normally he’d dress himself in blackened bronze armor, and carry a blackened short lance and an oblong, convex shield that layers itself in a similar pattern to the chitin on his arms. Though currently his lack of armor and arms is making it difficult to look away, for the most part he's lacking any actual clothing aside from a slightly dirtied white breechcloth that runs down to just above his knees keeping him modest for the most part though leaving little to the imagination.
Dark brown fur wreaths his neck like the trimmings of a coat in stark contrast to the pale yellow hair is kept behind his long elfin ears at the sides of his head, its flowing waves only interrupted by his rather animated and candid antennae feelers. “I know I carry all the grace of my mother-” Ornate solid black orbs look over you with an eager gaze, his painted black lips curve up at the edges, “-but if you're going to stare so intently, I expect something at the end of all this.” His fuzzy insect abdomen sways impatiently, despite his efforts he is still a horny hornet at heart.

Description
Interactions
First Encounter
When first encountering the hornet, he takes up an aggressive stance, seeming more frustrated by your encounter than anything. Suspecting you to be a threat, another Katsune in disguise or would-be corrupted invader from elsewhere in the forest. You can Attack him, Speak with him, or Leave the first encounter without having done anything.
If you Attack, then you must follow through and fight the Hornet.
If you Speak, you will ask the Vesparan about himself and he will share his name and speak on how he is aspiring to be a Hive Knight. Afterwards you may subsequently introduce yourself, ask about his Hive, or Flirt with him. Once you have Flirted with him, he will offer to have sex with you.
If you Leave, Vyzerre wishes you well and allows you to go without a fight.
Subsequent Encounter
Subsequent encounters with Vyzerre will depend on how you acted when you first encountered him.
If you chose Fight and lost to him, or if you chose Leave, then he becomes a random encounter that can be met by exploring the Frostwoods area. In this case, on subsequent encounters, he will give you the options to Fight! or Try to Talk! - the latter option is the same as if you chose the Speak option on your first encounter.
Once you have spoken to him and learned his name, he becomes a permanent resident of the square where you first met him, and can be interacted with. In this case, you have the option to Talk, Challenge, Attack or Leave.
Talk
The Talk interaction allows the player to talk about  Him, His Body, His Hive and Flirt options, as per the first encounter.
Once the player has had sex with Vyzerre at least once, the Talk menu also allows the player to ask him to cuddle, which restores 10 hit points and presents the player with the option to either have Sex or Leave afterwards.
When asking about himself, Vyzerre can give a series of banterous topics referencing the Kitsune in the forest, the Drider Queen and his encounters with Evergreen and her daughters.
When asking about his body, Vyzerre arches an eyebrow confused before the Champion asks if they’ve been in contact with the Hive to the south. He says that he had a run in with a few drones who had tried to assault him when he first arrived in the marches but since then he's avoided them not wanting to quote ‘go through that again’. When pressed by the champion he says that the pheromones were almost enough to kick in his breeder instincts. Returning to the Champion's original question he says he was originally smaller, but made a deal with one of Evergreens daughters to change his build, lamenting how he wished they’d him a bit taller and sturdier built like his sisters, quietly mentioning he wished he had a stinger too.
When asking about his Hive he seems less keen on talking about it compared to his other dialogue options, in the end he relents saying that he is far a Hive far to the south. Originally he was a breeder and a member of his queen's harem and later took it upon himself to become a Hive Knight.
When flirting, Vyzerre chuckles to himself before his cheeks change a color of red before averting his eyes saying it's been some time since someone has spoken to him in that way and that his race often dies when alone. Scratching at his neck he chuckles again talking about how he had gotten so used to being alone that he’d forgotten how it felt to long for another's company.
Sex
Vyzerren has five sex scenes (Need to think of more innuendos)
Get a Treat - “So maybe it’s not honey, but it's still pretty sweet.”
The Challenge interaction allows the player to fight a practice spar with Vyzerre, suffering no penalties if they lose. During this battle, Vyzerre fights in a defensive stance, and he may take flight, making him harder to hit in melee. Oftentimes letting the player use their abilities before counterattacking.
Once the player has challenged Vyzerre three times whether or not they have beaten him, Vyzerre comments on how he appreciates the company and the practice the Talk menu will reflect his change in tone and allow the player to ask him about being a male Hive Knight, where he will disclose that he is the only Hive Knight left of his Hive and that he must get better.
Attack
The Attack interaction causes the player to attack Vyzerre unprovoked, causing them to gain 3 Corruption. If they lose, Vyzerre chastises them and steals some of their money. However, he remains in the square for further interactions.
 Queen and Consort
Once the Champion has challenged Vyzerre three times and has listened to the subsequently unlocked Hive Knight? Dialogue option, the next time the Champion encounters male Hive Knight he will be deep in thought as he glances over the scars that chinks in the chitin that covers his hands. His face shifts into a snarl as he hurls his shortlance across the small clearing he’s taken to occupy before freezing up his expression shifting to one of embarrassment as he notices the Champion before slinking over to his shortlance to reclaim it. The Champion can either choose to Leave or to Ask.
If the Champion chooses to Leave, Vyzerre will shift awkwardly in their presence for a moment as if he has wronged the player in some fashion before bowing apologizing and flying off. (This doesn’t lock or disable the quest, the Ask option will appear the next time they speak with him) If the Champion chooses Ask Vyzerres posture and expression will relax, fluttering over to the Champion thanking them inviting them to sit and stay with him for a while. Where the Champion will be given the option of choosing Yes or No. Refusing the Knights offer, he will smile bitterly clearly disappointed by the players decision, responding with a simple ‘Oh’ before watching them as they leave.
Agreeing causes him to blink at you before turning and collecting a few pieces of fruit jerky and offering it to the party before he settles down across from the Champion and their party. As everyone partakes, he mentions that it was one of his Sisters who got him addicted to fruit jerky, and that he learned how to use the lance and shield thanks to her too. The Champion remarks how they are sure she would be proud of him. Grimacing, he spits a bit of the fruit jerky out onto the ground, the taste seemingly fouling in his mouth; before going on to mention that she's dead and so is his entire Hive.
It's clear by how his demeanor changes that it makes him uncomfortable to think about it, but he waves off the Champion's attempt at interjecting. He goes on about how he was the Queen’s consort, a member of her harem, and while he was not sent with his sisters on raids and nowhere near as strong as them, he blames himself for being absent the day his Hive was attacked. He opens his mouth a few times but no words come out. Settling on his phrasing, he says he did his best to avenge them, but came up short before coming north hoping to find some kind of conquest that would bring his Hive honor. Pausing, he relents in his domination of the story and looks to the player for their opinion.
The Champion can then make the decision to choose to ask, The Marches, Vengeance, Honor, or choose the option Next to advance.
Choosing The Marches, Vyzerre moves into his small camp retrieving a small book from his bag. Flipping through its contents, he goes over some of the stories he's transcribed onto its pages. Each is a story of his Hives past, though the one he settles more thoroughly upon is one of the Godswar where he talks of how his Hive could not resist the call of battle in the North and mustered against the Wraiths… he mentions in passing that mother always hated that story before gesturing in the direction of the local Vesparan Hive saying that he wondered if they might be distant cousins from a Hive Knight who stayed after the campaign concluded.
Choosing Vengeance, Vyzerre bites at his cheek before looking at you, much like how a child might a parent when they’ve done something wrong. He speaks on how he couldn’t let his family's deaths go unanswered and any death in the name of the Hive is worthy of honor, but he argues that what happened wasn’t just them dying, it was them being murdered. He reveals that his hive was smoked out and that its inhabitants died with very few being able to raise a hand in its defense, that they burned his Hive. He furrows his brow, saying he did his best to make sure that their killers paid.
Choosing Honor, Vyzerre nods affirmatively at the word, repeating it before smiling. He tells the Champion that he swore to his Queen that he would bring enough Honor to their Hive so that even upon his death, the Hive would pass on into legend. Bowing his head he sighs, saying that he wishes he hadn’t made such an impossible promise.
Choosing Next causes Vyzerre’s antennae to vibrate as he jumps to his feet and searches the edges of the small clearing before a party of Imps appear, attacking the party. Once they are defeated the players finds that Vyzerre’s small home has been ruined in the battle and its contents, all but destroyed. Sighing, he looks from the Imps to the Champion openly wondering why there are so many of the Imps running around and where they are coming from.
The Champion recounts their fight with the Alurain, Kasyrra, and the Hornetfolk to the south, to get where they are now. The Knight's black eyes twinkle like stars, muttering to himself about how amazing the Champion is, telling them that they would make their own Queen proud. Though once the magic of the moment passes, he furrows his brows and glances back to his hand before tightening his hand into a fist. There is a tinge of regality in his voice like he was standing in court. He asks if he could come with the Champion on their adventures.
Should the Champion refuse to bring Vyzerre into their company, he will frown his stance, deflating a moment before he straightens back up and mention that he will salvage what is left of his camp and make his own way back to Hawkthorne and see if he might hunt Kasyrra for what she's done to the local Hive.
(Updates and continuations planned)
Companionship
If the Champion decides to bring in Vyzerre to their company during the introduction of Queen and Consort, they will have the option to immediately add him to their party, or send him to Hawkethorne to be picked up later at the tavern.
At The Frost Hound, Vyzerre can be found under the Guests option where, if the Champion did not bring him into their company, they will have a Recruit option to bring him along. Other than the Recruit option, the Champion may ask Vyzerre about his quest, to which he laments that it is going rather poorly for those who have yet to recruit Berwyn.
Approaching Vyzerre once he has been recruited will bring up the following options:
Appearance
Talk
Him
His Hive
Flirt
Sex
Azyrran?
Royal Treatment
Give Item
If Vyzerre has been recruited if you haven’t sparred with him yet that day, there is a 20% chance that the Champion will receive a Vyzerre? option the next time they go to look for him at The Frost Hound. They will find Vyzerre missing from his usual spot and go to look for him. The Champion will find him outside the southern gate humming to himself as he taps the tips of his carapaced fingers on the surface of his shield, which he has resting across his lap. When asked what he’s doing, he will reply that he’s looking back towards home before correcting himself, saying where his home once was. Laying his hands flat on the shield's surface and explaining that every Vesparan knows where their Hive is no matter how far away they are, but his case is different, feeling more like a ghost clawing at him than a Mother calling their children home. His body trembles a moment before clearing his throat as he explains how he hates that something he used to take such comfort in now only serves to remind him of his past. His hands tighten into balls as he crushes his eyes closed, continuing on about how there were hundred of others who deserved to be the one to survive the fire. Stopping, he realizes how he is speaking in the Champion's presence and apologizes. Silence falls in the conversation for a few moments before the Champion redirects, and asks him what it was he was humming, prompting the Hornetfolk to smile with a downcast gaze. He explains it is a song from home, but doesn't know who started singing it. It's one of his favorites, going on about how his sisters would sing it when they came home from raids. The Champion will have the options of Sing or Leave.
Choosing Leave, the Champion excuses himself from Vyzerre telling him they will be waiting back at the tavern.
Choosing Sing, the Champion asks Vyzerre to sing the song for them to which he smiles and agrees drumming up a rhythm on his shield with his finger tips before he starts to sing.
(It's a work in progress)
‘We were born early spring to beat of royal wings and the loving grace of Lumia fell all over us.
O’ and every single night when the Knights would end their flight, they’d invite the neighbors out with this fine chorus.
No sense to run and hide, if you've already caught our eye. Let's tell the world how you won your medals.
Let's tell them how the beat of wings made you want to run and scream, from our Queen and all her lovely dames of Vespa. While we went one to one and never did we run when we sent the Wraiths back into their burrows.’
His voice is warm, like the honey as it often was, but this time it held more pride like a father boasting of their child. The Champion settles next to him as they enjoy his voice and the picture he paints, until his voice wobbles for a moment, but the Champion excuses it, thinking  that it was their imagination, until it happens a second time, his voice wavering on another line. Opening their eyes they find Vyzerre with tears streaming down his face as he fights to keep them from his voice while he sings. As his voice is silent, he simply stares off over the path he had originally taken to come north, much like the Champion not so long ago his lips quivering as tears continue to fall.
The Champion rests a hand on his shoulder and smiles, snapping Vyzerre out of his would-be trance before he apologizes. The Champion tells him there is nothing to apologize for before pulling him to his feet, offering to buy him a drink back at the Frost Hound. Walking with Vyzerre back to the tavern the Champion is given the options of Drink, Sing Together, or Leave.
Choosing Drink,  The Champion chooses to sit and drink with Vyzerre, who after a few drinks turns smiles at the Champion hugging them suddenly telling them that they are the first person outside his Hive who he’s sung that song to and that he appreciates them listening.
Choosing Sing Together, The Champion picks a pair of drinks from the bar before giving one to Vyzerre, drinking together for a moment before standing and telling him that they are glad this particular Knight found they’re way home starting the same beat they had heard earlier. The Hive Knight takes the hint, raising his pint to his lips and starts to sing with the player following suit.
Choosing Leave, The Champion drops Vyzerre off at the counter letting Garth take care of him before taking leave of the Hornet.

[ran voice] it’s not illegal if they don’t catch you
Yakumo Yukari had shown up that morning unannounced and declared that she would be staying over for a few days.
It was hardly unusual for her to do that; and at this point, Hakugyokurou had a guest bedroom permanently reserved for her, so it was simply a matter of Youmu clearing out the dust and moving all her bags into the room. More than once, Youmu had wondered why Yukari didn’t simply use her abilities to immediately tailor the room to her liking, but she assumed that it would be a needless waste of energy when Youmu was right there.
Still, it was mid-afternoon when she returned to the main room to announce that her work was done.
Yakumo Ran, the gap youkai’s shikigami, was dutifully pouring tea for Yukari and Yuyuko. Youmu wondered if Ran had the same kinds of thoughts that she did about Yukari’s abilities, then decided against it; even ignoring the shikigami’s programming, she was far too diligent to have any such thoughts about her master.
As she made her announcement, Yukari grinned one of her catlike smiles, the kind that you could never be sure what they really meant, and remarked, cheerfully, “Finishing that early means you might be able to take Youmu on the shopping trip with you, Ran.”
Ran glanced at her, but said nothing, so Yukari continued.
“We’ll need a lot of food this time. I’m planning on staying for at least a week, if not longer. And we might have some events, too~! Not that it isn’t lovely to just spend time in your company, Yuyuko dearest, but it’s important to keep things interesting, isn’t it~?”
“Of course, of course,” replied Yuyuko, drinking her tea and smiling to herself. “Maybe we could invite the Prismrivers over… get an exclusive performance from them.”
“Those ghosts with their music to sway the listeners’ hearts, hmm~? Oh, that would be very interesting to see…”
Youmu, seemingly forgotten after her entrance, began to turn around, but Yukari’s voice interrupted her mid-step.
“So, Ran, you should take Youmu now, hmm? After all, we might even be able to get them tonight, and we wouldn’t want to be short on food.”
“Of course not, Lady Yukari. I’ll head out immediately.”
“Make sure to get everything on the list, Ran~ I won’t take any excuses this time.”
“Of course, Lady Yukari.”
Ran sighed, almost imperceptibly; the kind of sigh that only the long-suffering servant could identify. Youmu would have glanced at her in surprise, but she was still barely keeping up with the conversation as it was; any conversation between Yuyuko and Yukari tended to give her a headache.
So instead she followed Ran outside, still dressed in her somewhat dusty outfit, and watched as the kitsune stood in Hakugyokurou’s courtyard and began to make gestures in the air, gestures that left orange trails of flame that began to take on their own shape, a writhing, blazing golden symbol floating in the air.
“Wh-where are we going?” asked Youmu.
Ran glanced down at her, but didn’t cease in her casting. “Outside.” Then, she sighed again. “Lady Yukari always overdoes it when she comes here, even taking into account Lady Yuyuko’s appetite… and there’s only one place to get all the food we need.”
Youmu supposed that was true; every time that Yukari came over, they inevitably threw a party that involved dozens of dishes she’d never seen before. She considered herself lucky that it was Ran, rather than her, who’d had to manage the kitchen in preparing them.
Then the actual response to her question caught up with her thoughts.
“Outside?” repeated Youmu. “Like… Outside outside?”
Ran nodded, and made a final gesture. The seal began to spin, and as it spun, the world around them was swept away, and another one took its place; a world of cold white lighting and tiled floors, and seemingly endless metal rows filled with food.
Ran had changed in appearance, too; her indigo tabard had become an indigo jacket, whilst her white dress had become a white shirt and ankle-length white pants. Her ears and tails, too, had vanished… and yet, there was still the illusory impression of a pale golden haze around her; that something was there, and it simply wasn’t visible.
But before she could think any longer, Ran was already walking off quickly, taking a list from a pocket she hadn’t had a moment ago and grabbing something that resembled a wheelbarrow made of thin pieces of metal. By the time Youmu had begun to collect herself, the kitsune had already begun to remove things from the shelves and put them into the odd wheelbarrow.
As she went, Ran meticulously ticked each item off the list, but even as she did, she seemed to be putting things in without ticking them off. And normally, Youmu would have asked, but this strange, bright world was overwhelming her with other things to pay attention to. As she walked next to Ran, she took a small metal can off one of the shelves and looked at it. Its labelling was written in a language she didn’t recognise, but there were pictures of tomatoes on it, so she supposed it must be full of tomatoes. Still holding the can of tomatoes, she followed after Ran once more.
“Where are we?” she asked, as they turned into another corridor lined with cans.
Ran hesitated for a moment. “It’s… somewhere in America,” she replied. “It’s just a supermarket. Lady Yukari likes Western food, and they have a lot of it here, so it saves me multiple trips.”
Youmu nodded, then was silent for a moment. “What’s a supermarket?”
“It’s like a market, but bigger.”
Youmu nodded again. “And they have lots of these in America?”
“Quite a lot, yes.”
Ran went back to silently filling the wheelbarrow, and then another thought occurred to Youmu.
“Am I allowed to be out here?”
Ran glanced down at her, and smiled. “Allowed?” she repeated. “There’s no rule preventing youkai from leaving Gensokyo, it’s merely risky. In Gensokyo, our existences are secure; outside of it, we’re at the mercy of human belief. That’s why I placed us under an enchantment, even though there’s no-one around.”
“Are there normally more people…?”
“Of course. But it’s early in the morning over here, and the workers who should be filling the shelves have all decided to take a break.” Ran smiled to herself, and something in her smile was more Yukari-like than one would expect; a clever, sharp kind of smile, almost bordering on cruel. “The cameras won’t see us, and even if someone does happen across us, they’ll just think we’re meant to be here. Humans are so easy to manipulate… they only want to see what they expect to see, so if you give to them, they’ll give you no trouble at all~”
“M-miss Ran…?”
Ran glanced back down at her in surprise. “My apologies. I usually do these trips on my own, so I’m used to talking to myself… And you’re half-human, yourself, of course. Although, you aren’t so vulnerable to illusions as these ones are.”
“Mhmm…” There was another silence, and then, “Miss Ran, why do you serve Lady Yukari?”
“Why I chose to become her shikigami, you mean?”
Youmu nodded, and for the first time, Ran stopped moving the now-overstuffed wheelbarrow.
And then she grinned, and this time it truly was a sharp grin, with sharp teeth, and glittering golden eyes.
“When a kitsune has nine tails, she’s become truly powerful -- but she’s also reached the limits of her ability. Lady Yukari offered me to go beyond those limits, and I accepted, without hesitating. Now, let me ask you -- why do you serve your Lady Yuyuko?”
Youmu opened her mouth to reply, and then frowned to herself. Ran took up the handles of the shopping wheelbarrow and resumed walking.
She supposed it had been a rude question to ask, Youmu thought, and she should have expected that kind of answer, but she’d never really thought about it before. Serving Yuyuko was simply what the Konpaku family did; she’d never had to think of a reason for it.
For the last few minutes of the journey there was silence, until they returned to the slightly-more-open space where they had initially appeared, and Ran began to cast a blazing symbol in the air once more.
“Lady Ran?”
“Yes?”
“Is it alright… if I don’t have an answer?”
Ran raised an eyebrow. “I think you do have an answer, though. You just might not recognise it for what it is.”
Youmu looked blank for a moment, and Ran smiled; not her fierce smile from earlier, but a calmer, gentler one. “I confess… I lied a little bit, earlier. That’s why I chose to become Lady Yukari’s shikigami, certainly, but that’s not why I stayed. And the truth is, she’s a difficult employer… she leaves me with a lot of work, and is rarely ever grateful. Even with the power she offers, I could simply refuse to take it, and leave…”
The mark was almost complete once more.
“But the truth is, it’s interesting to follow her. And it’s fun, in its own way. And what about you, Youmu? Do you have fun doing what you do?”
Youmu thought for a moment about the work she put in around Lady Yuyuko’s home, work which was rarely acknowledged beyond an offhand comment. Then she thought about the parties and events she accompanied her to, and invariably had to clean up after, and often had to put up with teasing during.
And yet--
Whilst she was having them, she was certainly having fun, right? Fun she wouldn’t have been able to have, with people she wouldn’t have been able to meet, in places she wouldn’t have been able to go, if she weren’t Lady Yuyuko’s attendant.
Indeed, why had she even hesitated?
“Of course I do!”
Ran grinned again, a smile that was washed away with the rest of the world as that stark white world was replaced with the cool shades of the Netherworld’s evening.
The wheelbarrow had somehow become an immense sack which Ran held over her shoulder effortlessly as she strolled back into Hakugyokurou; then, she unfurled it, and Yukari immediately began to critically examine the pile of food.
After a moment, she nodded. “This should be satisfactory. As usual, excellent service, Ran.”
“Of course, Lady Yukari. And Miss Youmu’s assistance was greatly appreciated.”
“I’m sure it was~” replied Yukari in a singsong voice.
“Of course it was, Yukari,” said Yuyuko, nudging her with her shoulder and smiling brightly. “Youmu’s extremely capable, so I’m sure she did a fantastic job, as always!”
And somehow that made all of it worth it.

Can't believe I didn't do kitsune Tanjiro-
Warning: Yandere Themes Implied (?)
Lovely beautiful spirit of the forest, Tanjiro. Whatever the case may be, either you were a hunter, a mere traveler, whatever the case may be.... You accidentally happen upon his temple. Reader worshipping at the temple for good luck or for safe travels or to wish for good health for their family.
Either way, they caught lovely Tanjiro attention! <333 Poor Tanjiro, whose not used to this sudden emotions and is trying to figure it out.... Eventually Tanjiro decides to follow after you! He carefully hides his tails and ears and asks you, where is he! He is so terribly lost and confused.
You couldn't leave such a beautiful person <333 so you take him back to your village. Tanjiro excitedly watches on how you work effortlessly rebuild any houses that suffered from weathers or bandit attacks, how you take care of the other villager's children and the children excitedly trying to show off or proudly tell you things! <33 Everyday, Tanjiro falls more in love and how he realizes this must be a sign! A sign that you were both destined for each other!!
But.....Reader isn't a spirit nor immortal! :( This means Reader is very fragile. This spooks Tanjiro, after awhile... he reveals who he is, a scary fox from the forest! But you don't run away?! You stayed, gently petting Tanjiro. Ohhh Tanjiro just fell more and more in love and his desire to breed/to be bred is so strong, it's hurting him so much. <333
Tanjiro just can't take it any longer! The forest has given a sign ;;; He cannot loose someone so precious and special, not like how he lost his entire family. Maybe lovely Reader may be angry for awhile for being forced into a kitsune/fox spirit but all is well because now Reader will never leave him! Especially not with little pups an marriage coming soon, lovely Reader must definitely stay now <333 besides who can deny this beautiful kitsune called Tanjiro?? Definitely not me-
- Kitsune Anon
how do you do it, tsu-tsu? I have only recently been thinking about deity Tanjirou, who controls fire and fertility, and although he is also called responsible for food and fire, he also brings drought and heat. but after he gets a spouse, the lands become more fertile and full of food, as he is busy breeding with his spouse,,,,
Hhhhh please I'm too weak for yanderes... kitsune tanjirou... I want to write about how he takes the reader to himself...
I have an idea for a soft drabble...
cw interspecies relationship, mention of yandere / unhealthy behaviour
DARLING
He immediately caught your attention, like a polar star in a dark sky.
When you meet him in the thicket of the forest, abandoned and confused, looking into your eyes with naive trustfulness, it is natural that you want to help him. The Deity favors everyone, "if you see a person in trouble, you have to help them" — it is thanks to mutual help that people live to this day.
The world is hostile and full of dangerous monsters, and you can't leave a stranger alone — especially one so scared, worried and dressed in incomprehensible rags; with a wounded leg, a tired look and not remembering anything but his own name, and with beautiful,
inhumanly beautiful
eyes that make your heart beat faster.
And although he looks human, but for some reason you felt as if you had met a lost fairy who accidentally wandered into this forest and was completely helpless... or a dangerous monster that is ready to rip out your heart. A wounded, defenseless traveler who seemed to be waiting for your appearance — your hunting instincts screamed that it was a trap. How can you trust him and bring him to people? Can you be sure that this is not a vengeful spirit? If you bring him to the village, you will be responsible for him — you will have to repair the house and forget about patrolling to take care of the boy.
It's hard for a village to communicate with each other — you can't even find out where it comes from, and you don't know for sure if it makes sense to give it to others...
And he is so fragile, trustfully holding on to you, looking in your eyes for something that will tell him about his fate. When he snuggles up to you, as if looking for support, with such a plaintive look that you feel like your doubts are obscured by a fog.
... Maybe he really was a victim of betrayal, or he was attacked by bandits, or a disaster happened to him during his journey — can you just leave him, knowing that you turned away from someone who needs help? Can you consider yourself a good inhabitant of the village, preferring to leave the unfortunate just to not have difficulties? You were still a protector, even if he was a resident not from your village. You can't leave him in the woods. He won't survive.
And many more "can't" — as if something inside you is growing with restless fear, if only you would take him by the hands and hold him to yourself to protect him from the world.
A pretty guest who will bring with him either peace or horror, but now looks at you as if you are his Deity.
“T-thank you... I... thank you very much, I don't even know how to thank you, I-”
The forest greets you with gentle winds and quiet whispers.
They say that at such moments the forest tells charming tales about the past, which is forgotten, and the future, which is unknown, and if you listen carefully, you can hear them. But you only hear the pounding of your heart when you squeeze Tanjirou's hand tighter.
Maybe your meeting was really destined. A lost, with no memory other than a name, a pretty and trusting young man, whom you will bring to your house and make a member of your family.
Maybe he really is something like a gift from a Deity?
Even if there is something suspicious in his smile and tenderness, especially when he clings to you trustingly, clinging to your hand when you come out of the woods, but you know that you can't leave him now. That you should take him and bring him into your house to make the house a 'home'.
Probably, it's all from prolonged loneliness.
Tanjirou smiles timidly but enthusiastically as you gently help him walk him to his new home, holding him by the shoulders so that he knows that you are protecting him. And although your house is not too beautiful or good, a little unsightly, but looking at the sparkle in Tanjirou's eyes, you feel that your life will change for the better.
“It looks great!... Of course, I won't be able to be useful, but- but trust me, I'll take care of your- our house!”
Or at least the house will look nice and not too dirty.
Although, looking at his joy, you do not leave the feeling that he already knows this place.

Mystery March Day 25 - Hobby
The jobs were going well, for the most part. Somehow even with the addition of a ghost to the team, a kitsune, and Vivi’s magic, there was still a chance of something happening to go wrong. All of them learned their lesson with going to places without the proper research. The last thing they needed was another incident like the cave to happen. Never again.
In fact, it was probably for the best they swore off any that had to deal with such a location. That had actually been the bluenette’s idea. It was arguable that she had suffered the least of the three of them, but she was there with Arthur when he was stuck in the past, and losing a battle to depression before the mansion.
And Mystery’s secret must have been hard to keep, and the guilt of mauling one of the humans he was protected weighed on his mind. She wasn’t going to have any of her team go through that trauma again.
And all of them agreed without hesitation.
As was typical, Arthur was usually the one getting in harm’s way. It wasn’t because of his luck, but rather that when it came to combat, he didn’t have much to offer. He was their planner, pointing out flaws, and taking care of locks, or distractions. Thank god for his fast legs. It still bothered him, but his friends always made an effort to make it up to him. For some reason, probably a stupid one in his mind, he wasn’t sure why he let them continue to spoil to him.
Well, as long as they were rebuilding. He would always do anything for them.
The group of four made their way back to the mansion, a usual stop before the blonde, bluenette, and kitsune all made their way back to their own homes. It gave them a chance to wind down from the excitement, find their focus on something else, or even store something that might have been brought back from a job. If there was any safe place in Tempo for such items, it would be at Lewis’ greatest creation.
Sometimes the gang would stay later into the night. For Arthur, that wasn’t much of an issue, seeing as he already had a problem with staying up later than he should. It wasn’t unheard of for the ghost to randomly turn up in his room, pulling him over to bed to make sure he was getting enough sleep.
There was no longer a hunt for a missing person.
Nothing vengeful hunting him down anymore.
He could rest knowing he had finally accomplished his primary goal. He found Lewis.
Speaking of him, he found himself in the kitchen, as was his usual haunt. There were… downsides to his condition, but ones that never seemed to hinder him from doing what he loved most. Senses were lost, but that’s what his living companions were for. Sometimes they would wander on him in the middle of his craft, cleverly sneaking a taste away from him.
Or at least, they assumed they were being clever. Most of the time, he didn’t have a problem with them indulging in such acts. After all, who better to make sure everything tasted properly than the ones who would be eating the final product.
Another aspect of life stolen from him.
No, he couldn’t let his mind be plagued with such thoughts.
Vivi strolled in, a smile trailing over the ghost’s face as he watched her from the corners of his vision. He knew why she was here. It mattered not. He still leaned over, pecking her on the cheek as she came to his side. It surprised him to see her just standing there, watching rather than getting something for herself, then leaving. What was up with this change? Maybe she had just gotten bored? Read through all her books? Why not do something with Mystery then?
“You want some help Lew?”
Help? How curious.
“I wouldn’t mind a little extra help mi amor, but what brought this on?”
“Well, you’re always in here alone. Figured I could lend you a hand with my own skills.”
His smile grew wider, though eyes opened more at the surprise of those words leaving her mouth, “You? Cooking?”
“Well, someone had to make sure Arthur was eating while you were gone, and he couldn’t just have that nasty seafood pizza and energy drinks all the time. It became kind of a necessity.”
Lewis only learned about the consequences to the blonde’s depression mostly after the fact. The habits were still present, especially at the beginning when the two of them were on very rough terms. It was part of what caused the ghost to reevaluate the hatred he felt for his best friend. Why would his killer be working so hard to drive himself towards death if he wasn’t sorry for the actions he had been forced to commit? It tore the blonde apart.
He needed his friends to help pull him out of his own head, more so the one he had spent who knew how long just trying to find him.
Vivi was there for him before, and now both of them could watch over him.
The pair took a little longer than usual when it came to making dinner. It probably wasn’t helped by the fact there were two cooks trying to not only coordinate with one another, but had their own style of cooking. Vivi’s items tended to be something more suited to her culture, whereas Lewis could be all around. Then again, he was fond of any food item that had some heat to it was a good go-to.
When the blonde eventually pulled himself away from his work desk, he strolled into the kitchen. One of his eyebrows rose at the somewhat larger mess than normally was there. Food was still being plated, but this time by Vivi, while Lewis was the one cleaning. He gave a small chuckle, “I don’t think I want to know.”
“Oh hush you. Sit down. You get to enjoy a combination of our culinary skills.”
“Vivi, come help me clean up your mess, then you can eat.”
The blonde and bluenette couldn’t help but laugh, the former finding his way to the table while the latter joined her supernatural boyfriend in the final task of their night.
