My favourite type of books to read are fantasy because of that one cheesy quote that says 'the only limit is your imagination'. Because it quite literally is. With a contemporary fiction, there is only so much you can include in it until it becomes unrealistic, ridiculous and overused. But I LOVE fantasy soooo much because you, as an author, can choose to write about ANYTHING. A girl with pink hair that meets a charismatic prince of hearts and fights for true love? A enchanting, magical game that appears once a year? A girl who's fighting to prove herself in faerie kingdom? A group of people fighting for a better world?

And this is why I love fantasy so much. I've had times where I just didn't want to live in my head at the current moment and I knew that I had my books to escape to.

...but sometimes it hurts that I don't live in a fantasy world. Like pls I'd rather fight a dragon or fall in love with a certain fated prince ;) than study.
