wip of my drawing midterm/final? cyberspace stuff. i’m thinking about iterations and transhumanism and modifiability and code. echoes of things within themselves and patterns looping forever in the console. shapes colours and expansiveness in the matrix and HCI and this sense of translation between human machine and then human and machine again. OH and also about ghosts and im/permanence and in/tangibility.

i always want to develop an academia around the music maps but i feel like that would be absorbing too much of myself into it. like an ultimate case of something really not being worth the work because it would go over everyone elses heads and what they care about even more than the maps already sometimes do. but i guess thats the best sort of hobby

#basically i want to like.#formalize certain things i notice #like how pink floyd connects to a prog cluster and a 60s psych cluster and the clusters dont connect #i would do something about bands like that #like beastie boys #bands that manage to have such a split fanbase/sound #and then artists that change their sound over time and how that makes their similar artists look like a timeline #like david bowie #and queen #all the different Types of directly similar artist map things something #it would be like a multidisciplinary field between sociology and graph theory and musicology
