Gabriel figuring out Chat Noir’s secret identity based on a single word he happened to overhear the one time he ever thought to tuck his son in to bed is one of the funniest things ever, because it implies that Gabriel has overheard Chat Noir flirting with Ladybug so many times that it does not matter that the magic of the miraculous obscures Adrien’s voice just like it does his face, or that Chat Noir is a celebrity in Paris, and likely made that word a mainstream term of endearment. Gabriel is so obsessed that he can tell when he’s hearing the genuine Chat Noir saying it (and then left without tucking his son into bed).

And see, this makes me wonder: was Gabriel lowkey invested in the romance? Was he enjoying Chat Noir’s puns? Watching to see if the poor guy ever made any progress at winning his lady’s heart? Was this a secret silver lining that he got to look forward to every time he lost, and was he mad that Adrien had just ruined it by revealing his identity, and that he had been tricked into giving a damn about his son’s love life?

Ok, how come the love square in the pv which we BARELY HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON, seems more fun and interesting than anything in miraculous?

I mean, what do you rather, a Sakura & Sasuke style relationship except you Sakura is actually likeable and you actually root for her, and while being funny, you can also clearly see development, as felix starts to actually enjoy Bridgette's company, just not in a romantic way, and we watch as both of them develop and improve each other, bridgette by giving Felix happiness helping him enjoy stuff and stand up to his dad, and Felix helps bridgette by showing that sadness is a normal feeling and that she doesn't need to be happy all the time, and that she doesn't have to help everyone. giving an actual reason for bridgette to fall in love with him, just making it even more heart breaking when Felix rejects her cause he's in love with ladybug,

OR

Marinette falls in love with Adrien cause he helped her one day, and proceeds to stalk and overly obseses with him to a point of getting lots of people akumatized just to be with him, Adrien doesn't really change cause he's already perfect, and Marinette helps him stand to his dad once, and by hell him stand up I mean she said don't let him push you so much, he stands up, and his dad accepts it, no conflict what so ever.

Do you ever think that maybe Gabriel dying could be a canon event ?? What if he's supposed to die in every universe ? Just like how Emilie dying is reoccurring event in each one.

We obviously don't know about the movie universe since the other part is still yet to come. But just think about Gabriel dying in the Paris special universe. Well, since the Gabriel in that universe is good and doesn't want to bring Emelie back. So, obviously his death won't be due to a wish. The only way I can think that he might die is maybe he was ultimately caught by the The Supreme and had to face his fatal fate ?? Im just bluffing im sorry but when I had this thought I just had to type this out for some reason.

Part 206 of my bakery “enemies” au!

THE END!! I can't believe I finally completed this. When I first started this comic, I had no idea that it would end up being this long. A little over 3 years and over 200 parts, so around 2000 panels. (My folder that holds all my files relating to this comic is 3 GB with 2,017 items....). I honestly can't believe that I managed to stick around to the end of this. Thank you all so much for the support, I never imagined that so many people would care about this comic when I started it!

Of course, there are still some loose threads. The kwamis and Nathalie for example, but the core of this series has always been about the emotional conflict between Marinette and Adrien, and that has been resolved. I have some epilogue ideas to cover those loose ends, but this comic has already taken so much of my time and I'm not sure I want to promise that I'll get around to it. ... But who knows. Maybe!

For now, Adrien and Marinette will get some long-deserved rest.
