#Miraculous Egypt
enneadau · 2 years
Note
How do you justify making everyone wait weeks for an Ennead update every single month, yet updating Miraculous Egypt multiple times in a month? I understand it's Camp NaNoWriMo, like you mentioned in one of the Miraculous chapters, but surely you should be focusing on what people actually want.
You want me to focus on what people want?
Welp, I guess more Miraculous Egypt is coming then because I get more reviews and comments on that than I do Ennead.
I make you wait for Ennead chapters because they get beta read and double checked before I post them. Miraculous Egypt is my 'fun' series that I just post as and when. It's also only just beginning so there's a lot less double checking continuity and stressfully ensuring I'm not fouling things up for the future.
I want Ennead to be perfect before posting and that means waiting.

I just recently noticed that MLB is like the stories I used to make up as a 7yo.
Includes over 20 animals (eh, animal based superheroes- tiny difference)
Keeps going on for an unholy amount of time with no glimpse of an ending
New characters turn up every 5mins (episodes) with no prior warning.
Random backstories out of the blue.
New plot pieces getting added only to never be spoken of again after 10min.
Random really dark and disturbing parts that have no lasting consequences.
Ends up in a completely different point from where it started.
Inconsistent characters who get redeemed or damned just cause
Honestly, the only difference is that in my stories the villains actually had to deal with karma.

Me in 2020: Miraculous is so stupid. I can’t believe people even watch it.
Me in 2021: I’m just going to hate watch it. I know I’ll hate it.
Me, later in 2021: Ok I guess I like this show but I’ll NEVER join the fandom. It’s still STUPID
Me 2022-now: well that didn’t go how I expected

What is promised is a debt, so here is Bast, the first holder of the miraculous of the wasp, she was a Neftis priestess; Isn't the best character design, but anyways I like it. This will be a short series of drawings, when it finishes, come back the Clone High fanarts.

I feel like Adventures of Miraculous Ladybug and Chat Noir is Yugi_Oh for little girls .
Long ago , when the pyramids were still young , Egyptian kings had items of great and terrible power. But these miraculous items erupted into evil butterflies that threatened to destroy the entire world , until a brave an powerful pharoh locked the magic away , imprisoning them within the millennial items , now 5000 years later a girl named Marinette unlocks the secret of the millennium puzzle , she's infused with ancient miraculous energies for destiny has chosen her to defend the world from the return of the Akuma just like the brave pharoh did 5000 years ago.
It's time to D_de _ ddddd deakumatize !

The Egyptian Kwamis
Tumblr media
Whaaaaaat? Egyptian kwamis????!?!!?!?!?!!! What's up with that?! Well well well, young padawan, I'm introducing the egyptian miracle box to my mlb rewrite! Granted, there are only a few egyptian kwamis left (none of which are canon to the show which hasn't shown us any egyptian kwamis). So far, I only plan to introduce one of these guys in the first fic (it'll be Fraay) but the others will hopefully come later if I can find ways to worm them in there. I will also be making North American kwamis later for a short side fic of the New York special which'll be tied to the main fic so yeeeaaaaaaaaa! Now have some info:
Fraay- Fraay is the kwami of affliction and uses she/her pronouns. She comes from the center ring of the Egyptian miracle box (basically the equivalent of Tikki or Plagg in the Chinese one), making it so that she has the most powers/abilities of the kwamis which she can bestow onto a wielder of her miraculous, which is a golden necklace. She is a locust kwami, so she will turn her wielder into a locust themed hero. She has three powers to give her wielder; Devastation (which works similar to Plagg's cataclysm), infestation (generation of bugs, usually grasshoppers, which carry deadly/violent disease with them under the control of Fraay or the wielder of the locust), and bane (which gives the victim an intense feeling of whatever is paining them the most. Ex: They have a broken wrist, but the pain with be amplified ten fold. Or, Ex 2: They have a headache, it will now be a horrible migraine) The other kwami of the center ring, which would balance Fraay (as Plagg and Tikki do) no longer exists (at least in my plot so far, maybe I'll change my mind) Lynn- Lynn is the kwami of jubilation and uses she/they pronouns. She comes from the third ring of the Egyptian miracle box (as Sass, Mullo, Kaalki, etc would be in the chinese miracle box) and can bestow only one power onto her wielder through her miraculous, which is a golden headpiece. She is a kwami of the frog, thus, making her wielders into frog themes heroes. They have only one power to give their wielder; Borax, which can generate or cause something to be silly and distracting. (Think Xuppu or King Monkey) The only other kwami in the third ring with Lynn in my version of my rewrite so far is Dryxx.
Dryxx: Dryxx is the kwami of domination and uses he/him pronouns. He comes from the third ring of the Egyptian miracle box (with Lynn). He can only bestow one power to his wielder through his miraculous, which is a nose ring. He is the kwami of the ox (like Stompp in the chinese box) and makes his wielders into ox themed heroes. He only has one power, subjugate, which gives the ability to control the mind of an opponent.
Mee: Mee is the kwami of veracition and uses she/her pronouns. She comes from the second ring of the Egyptian box (think Dusuu, Trixx, Nooroo etc from the Chinese box). She bestows two powers onto he wielder through her miraculous, which is a ring. She is the kwami of a sphynx (hairless cat, not the mythology type), and thus, makes her wielder into sphynx themed heroes. She has two powers to give; Verity (which forces opponent to only speak the truth) and justice (whatever harm the opponent has caused to anyone within the time of the fight can be recycled and used by the hero. Ex: Chat Noir uses his cataclysm to destroy the ground beneath the sphynx wielder, the sphynx hero can then use cataclysm themselves but ONLY against Chat Noir) (also, if working with Chat Noir, they cannot use his power unless it was used against them)
Mee is the only Egyptian kwami left from the second ring (in this draft so far, this may change) Basic dumbed down summary for y'all:
Fraay is the basic equivalent of Plagg and is a locust Lynn is the basic equivalent of Xuppu and is a frog. Dryxx is the basic equivalent of Stomp and is also an ox. Mee does not have an equivalent kwami to her from the Chinese box, but is basically the kwami of truth and is a spynx.

So in the new S5 teaser we see Adrien and Nathalie hugging, but I just noticed:
Tumblr media
Nathalie? Where did your earrings go? Why was your character model suddenly animated without them when that was never the case before as far as I noticed?
You know, the earrings we got to see more up close in “Felix” when Nathalie is trying to protect Adrien from the akumas and we can make out that there is a symbol on them:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just cant entirely make out what it is??
It looks like a bug to me though? My mind went to “Pharaoh” where we see the holy Scarab Beetle as a necklace from the Pharaoh Akhenaten (in the Eng Dub for some reason changed to Tutankhamun?) that TOTALLY isnt a secret miraculous no no, why would you think that?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because the Kubdel family was brought back for their time travel history narrative in 5x01 and “Pharaoh” was one of THE episodes that set the history part of the show up back in s1. But it's not the same bug design. Of course there is also the possibility that it's a Ladybug, but I wouldn't quite understand why? I'll keep thinking.
Maybe it can help us figure out more about Nathalies mysterious past we see hinted at in her room, which also is clearly decorated with Egyptian artefacts etc:

Prince of Egypt but it stars Felix and Adrien
Hm... I dunno, it ALMOST fits in a lot of ways, but not quite. The whole "Let My People Go" thing fits with Sentis, but they're BOTH Sentis and neither of them are big on oppressing them (unless you count Felix manipulating Adrien and leaving him in the lion's den), so that doesn't quite work. Or you could go with the "they were close once but then one of the brothers figured out that THEY were the bad guys (though Moses was also part of one of the oppressed groups) and turned against their brother", but again, it doesn't really work because FELIX is the one who turned against Adrien, and it wasn't for some righteous reason. It does have the "family members who once were quite close turn against each other, with one of them having stronger morals than the other" angle, but the details... eh.

Most random ask my current brain rot is stuck on. I have no idea if this makes any sense;
How would you rate your twink characters via the current vote bracket traveling tumblr. (Female characters crossdtessing count if no one knows)
Rank your characters from Season Zero Yugi and Pharaoh Meisa (yes they are woman but most people didn’t know that) to Miraculous Egypt Yugi, to everyone in between. Who wins? Who isn’t on the list at all? Who is in the middle? Any honorable mentions?
Sorry brain rot from looking at the bracket every six posts made me think of how different characters you write would rank. I’m not sure if that’s a good sign or a bad one…
Remember your great and this is just my brain being weird.
Hmm, not sure about a whole list, I've never really thought about it, but for something that might interest you, Kheper and Heba would be ranked differently.
Heba (Miraculous Egypt Yugi), would be lower on the list because he has a lot less confidence without the mask, while Kheper would be higher because he's confident, super fit and no one knows who he is. The mystery makes him more attractive.
Inversely, Prince Atem would be higher ranked than Kem Mau, because he's the future Pharaoh and can kick ass even if he doesn't look like it.
Kem Mau and Kheper would be around the same though.
I'm curious where you would put everyone XD

Daily update post:
This is what it looked like when a school bus with teenagers happened to find itself in an area being bombed by Hezbollah, in northern Israel the other day. The post says that these rockets evaded Iron Dome, but since this is an open area, it's more likely that ID simply didn't try to shoot it down, because it's only meant to intercept rockets it calculates will hit urban and residential areas.
instagram
And THIS is what it looks like when a rocket that is supposed to be intercepted by Iron Dome gets past it (in the southern city of Ashkelon, pic from Oct 17):
Tumblr media
And THIS is what it looks like when a rocket IS intercepted by Iron Dome, but there's always debris, and it has to fall somehwhere (pic from Ashkelon, from yesterday):
Tumblr media
And today, a rocket barrage was launched at the northern city of Kiryat Shmona from Lebanon, a civilian building was hit directly, responsibility was claimed by Hamas. This is a reminder for ignorant people asking how can there be so many dead when Israel is fighting just one terrorist organization? Israel is fighting more than one, on more than one front.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The family of a Hamas senior has been smuggled out of Gaza to Egypt. This is not the first time we find out that people affiliated with Hamas get to leave Gaza. ANYONE putting pressure on Israel to surrender to an antisemitic, genocidal terrorist organization, needs to explain why is that better than putting pressure on Hamas to surrender and release all the hostages immediately, or on Egypt (or Qatar) to allow in Gaza civilians, and not just the people with connections to a terrorist organization.
Tumblr media
I've been listening to a lot of interviews about the innovation that Israel has had to employ, in tackling the urban war challenges that Hamas has presented it with in Gaza, the likes of which I'm not familiar with in modern warfare, and in emergency medicine. As I was listening yesterday to the story of the recovery of a soldier, which seems no less than miraculous, it suddenly hit me, that no matter how much the world is publicly condemning us, the second they can, they will privately rush here to learn from us. Whether people will recognize it or not (and let's be real, the latter is more likely), a lot of lives will be saved all over the world, thanks to the experience and breakthroughs Israel is currently accumulating in these tragic times.
This is Aviad Halevi.
Tumblr media
On Oct 7, he was at the Nova music festival, with two of his friends. Aviad had a chance to flee Hamas' carnage, but he chose to stay with a wounded friend instead. Aviad was corresponding with his family, and his dad decided to grab a weapon, and drive into this area, still very much controlled by the terrorists at that point, in order to save Aviad and his friends. In order to get to their location, the father had to shoot terrorists he encountered on his way, and he did make it, but only to find three bodies. He loaded them into the back of his truck, which might have possibly saved them from becoming 3 more of the corpses held hostage by Hamas.
The next vid features Sabine Taasa, who lost on Oct 7 her husband and their 17 years old son, Or. There's another vid where she talks about what her own family went through, how she found two of her sons bleeding, the youngest without his eye, and how Koren told her that the terrorists killed Gil, his dad, asking why didn't they kill him as well. I might post it separately later. In this video, she talks about the hand drawn map found on one of the terrorists killed by Gil before he was murdered himself. I heard other survivors of Hamas' massacre mention these maps, which instructed the terrorists on who lived where, and on who to target first. The survivors said these maps could be in the hands of Gazan terrorists only thanks to Palestinians from Gaza who used to work in Israel, and many talked about their deep sense of betrayal.
May all of the murdered's memories be a blessing.
