Celtober 2023 Days 10, 11 and 12: Siblings, Medicine, Sacrifice
Now Núadu was being treated, and Dían Cécht put a silver hand on him which had the movement of any other hand. But his son Míach did not like that. He went to the hand and said ‘joint to joint of it, and sinew to sinew’; and he healed it in nine days and nights. The first three days he carried it against his side, and it became covered with skin. The second three days he carried it against his chest. The third three days he would cast white wisps of black bulrushes after they had been blackened in a fire.
Dían Cécht did not like that cure. He hurled a sword at the crown of his son's head and cut his skin to the flesh. The young man healed it by means of his skill. He struck him again and cut his flesh until he reached the bone. The young man healed it by the same means. He struck the third blow and reached the membrane of his brain. The young man healed this too by the same means. Then he struck the fourth blow and cut out the brain, so that Míach died; and Dían Cécht said that no physician could heal him of that blow.
After that, Míach was buried by Dían Cécht, and three hundred and sixty-five herbs grew through the grave, corresponding to the number of his joints and sinews. Then Airmed spread her cloak and uprooted those herbs according to their properties.

When Gods Get Drunk
Hephaestus: (looks around) This "Snake Juice" is basically rat poison. Everybody's wasted.
Hestia: (crying) You don't even know one thing! I didn't even say one thing! And she asks me the whole thing, and I didn't even do it once!
Take: I’m like an elephant, OK? If I walk into a room, it’s like, "okay, he’s in there."
Loki: (drunkenly sways back and forth) I'm gonna tell you, that... (points to Ishtar) that bitch over there. I'm gonna tell... I don't mean to brag.
Miach: ...Baba-booey. (snickers)
Hermes: Turn the music down. (singing) Farts and boobs and love and stuff... macaroni salad...
Freya: (speaks rapidly in Scandinavian)
Apollo: (silent, then laughs out loud before coughing, then drinks more Snake Juice)
Zeus: (dances like nobody is watching)

Also I am so sorry if I ever call him Micah, my brain betrays me
Hahaha dont worry! His name is a mythical Irish name that is pretty difficult for non Irish speakers to pronounce. I might end up giving him a nickname that muses can refer to him with.
I did just add a link on my page to a pronunciation guide if this helps!

@protector-of-the-fae
The residue of magic lay thick in the air of the shop. It felt like the buzz of electricity surrounding a live ungrounded wire. So thick even someone untrained in the ways of magic could feel something was off. Magic was not meant to feel like this.
The fae was tired from the transfer of power that had only occurred just moments ago, but he had work to do. He would toil while his master rested. He wiped his bloody nose on his sleeve when he heard the bell on the front door toll, quick to try and look as presentable as he could. If the customers felt unsafe or discouraged, then he would not be safe from Alric’s punishment.
Callun quickly made his way toward the front of the shop, only to feel the sudden dread in his stomach. This was no wizard, no witch, no magic user. They shouldn’t be here. Had Alric summoned them here? Surely they were walking into a trap, even if it was unplanned. Folk of his kind were rarely allowed to leave places like these.
He looked behind him to the door behind the counter. Alric wasn’t coming, not yet. He couldn’t lie and he had to be careful not to break the rules of his ancestor’s deal. He would have to think of something quick.
“Master Alric is not seeing customers the rest of the day. You must leave, sir.” Alric had said he did not wished to be bothered.

Does Miach have a strong sense of justice, or is he more of a 'not my circus not my monkeys' type of guy?
He very much does have a strong sense of justice! He feels almost obligated to assist supernatural beings with their woes, especially if it pretains to difficulties living alongside mortals.
His desire to keep the peace on both sides does push him to do some questionable acts in order to achieve what he perceives as the best outcome for everyone. He has in the past used his powers to bend others free wills in order to keep them from causing harm upon others or themselves. This usually leads to him being despised, which he takes in his stride as part of the reason why he does this is a form of self punishment. If he cannot solve other peoples problems he takes it as a sign of personal failure.
Long story short, he meddles in everyone's business whether they want him to or not (uwu)
