Dear Ryan,
This is my open letter to you, and bear in mind that I’m not trying to be rude.
First of all, I have this dictum, “Si tu te justifies, c’est que tu as quelque chose à te reprocher (If you need to justify yourself, you must have something to reproach yourself for)”. So yes, I’m basically calling your bluff. You are lying to yourself, because:
1. House of the Dragon saved the Franchise (GOT). Knowing that HBO wants the all franchise now, so if you screw HOTD with the future seasons, you will have less people watching, more problems on your hands and in addition, HBO would lose money and everyone knows that HBO do not like to lose money!
2. This job is your dream job, so I’m pretty sure you want it as long as you can.
3. We well know that Viserys (Paddy Considine) character and performance was essential for season one, but after him comes directly Daemon (Matt Smith). So now, during season two, without Viserys (Paddy Considine) performance, the best you’ve got under him is Daemon (Matt Smith) a beloved character.
4. If so many people are against you, that’s mean that there is something wrong and you should question yourself, then address it, not try to justify it.
Consequently, no Ryan you cannot do an assassination of Daemon’s character during the next seasons, because no one else will be able to replace him, not even Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) and you don’t have the luxury to screw up the show.

The Sara Hess stuff is throwing us all for a loop. I honestly want a story of rupture & repair with Daemon & Rhaenyra.
These characters are multi-faceted and I want to see them lean into their worst parts but then eventually learn to forgive and be stronger together. I want the angst but I also want to see them grow from their mistakes as a couple. But we will have to see going forward what will happen. Gods help us.

NaNoWriMo 2022: Day 4
Today was even better for writing (word count wise). However, I’m writing way out of order and all over the place so this is going to suck to try to slap together at the end of the month or whenever I’m done drafting this. I wrote three partial scenes from different parts of the novel.
I have classes off this week so this is when I had the least obligations from school. So the further I get this week, the easier it will be for me to get to 50k.
Day 4 Word Count: 4,205 words
Word Count Total to Date: 13,090 words
Excerpt (one of several scenes at the Victorian Lesbian bar):
One wife was a lovely lady of forty with a husbandly lover who was likely also near her more mature age. The other couple was probably close to Hess and I in age, maybe only a few years older. The older lady seemed to know Hess, I realized. She had never told me how she came to know about this place. Perhaps she had been here before.
Her husband looked at me with an assessing wise brown eye but said nothing. His gaze intimidated me. What did he think of me? Did he think me worthy of Hess? He gave me a secretive smile and wink.
"You're alright, kid." Was all he said after that tense moment.
I felt warm as though I had received extremely high praise but I couldn't begin explain to you why that was. His look of approval made me feel fortified. I knew without having to even know his name that he was another female husband, out enjoying a night with his wife and their likeminded friends. If I wasn't aware of the concept of female husbandry, I would have simply thought him a neat little gentleman who was with his wife.
He wasn't smoking but handed me his flask. "Mulberry wine, it's the wife's recipe. She came from a brewer's family, makes the finest alcohol in this part of the country. I'd bet my best pistol upon it." He told me, urging me to take a drink.
Ah, it was so delicious!

Jorgen Carlsson Leaves Gov’t Mule on Eve of Summer Tour; Kevin Scott is In
- “We thank (him) for all his incredible work,” band says of departing bassist
After 15 years, Gov’t Mule bassist Jorgen Carlsson is out of the band.
Kevin Scott, who filled in for Carlsson in 2022 when the bassist had COVID-19, will play with the group on its summer tour, beginning June 9 in Oregon.
Gov’t Mule announced the change in the third paragraph of a three-paragraph statement reminding fans about the tour and its new album, out June 16.
“Before we take the stage, we do want to let you know that our friend Kevin Scott will be joining us on bass,” the band said. “We thank Jorgen Carlsson for all his incredible work, including on Peace … Like a River and wish him the best.”
No reason was given and it’s unclear if Scott is officially Mule’s fourth bassist or a substitute. Either way, it’s an “honor - I have been a huge fan since I was in my early 20s,” Scott told Live for Live Music.
“I’m very excited for the future - to develop my own take on the catalog (and) also taking huge inspiration from (Allen) Woody, Andy (Hess) and Jorgen’s amazing bass work over the years.”

Matt Smith stating that Daemon loves Rhaenyra multiple times and when asked again this summer while shooting season two who Daemon loved the most. He answered with ‘Rhaenyra’
Ryan Condal - ‘He loves his family, particularly loves Rhaenyra.’ And also stating on another occasion that Rhaenyra is the woman that Daemon actually loves.
Geeta Patel saying that the entire production discussed it and wanted to show that daemyra are deeply in love with eachother, and called their love sexier then sex.
Even Sara Hess who hates Daemon admitted that Daemon and Rhaenyra belonged together.
GRRM himself said not too long ago that Daemyra is one of his favourite things about Daemon.
I could go on and on with more examples, yet I’m supposed to take random online users with nothing but headcanons and self inserting for their ship’s opinion seriously when they say that Daemon doesn’t love Rhaenyra? Be ever so serious.

Why do anti’s claim that Daemon doesn’t love Rhaenyra when everyone from the show-runners to the cast and crew say he does. Matt Smith has said it multiple times. He even said it at the London Con this summer when they were in the middle of filming season two.
It's because they hate Rhaenyra. This is a tale as old as time, anon. Trust me when I tell you it did not start with the show.
The headcanon that Daemon did not love Rhaenyra appeared ever since Fire and Blood was published. I couldn't quite put my finger on why this idea surfaced and why it was pushed around with such force. Recently I did. The fandom simply could not and can not stand the idea of Rhaenyra being loved by Daemon.
Laena and Nettles stans especially have this fixation. You can go anywhere: to tumblr, to twitter, to reddit and beyond, and you will find all sorts of frustrated people bemoaning the fact that Daemon was portrayed as genuinely loving Rhaenyra.
It goes hand in hand with the fact that Rhaenyra is not all sweet and pure and demure as a female character — traits that they somehow, for whatever reason, decided are the "epitome" of femininity, even though Rhaenyra herself is extremely feminine. It's also the fact that in their vision Daemon is someone that must be "tamed" (whatever the hell that means), and since Rhaenyra herself urged him to kill people at her order and do her bidding, they placed the self-insert into other female characters that fit their agenda more.
Now, I don't usually offer much relevance to what the showrunners have to say, because many times they contradict themselves. But Ryan did say repeatedly that Rhaenyra is the woman Daemon truly loves, and the person he particularly loves, Geeta Patel said that in episode 8 Daemon and Rhaenyra mirror Geeta and her own husband that are very much in love, the costume designer for episode 7 did say that theirs was a wedding for love. Heck, even Sara Hess said that Daemon loves Rhaenyra.
And Matt himself who has been the most consistent, of course, and always made it clear how important and essential Rhaenyra and Viserys are for Daemon's character — the only two people to be so.
But for the antis is ultimately irrelevant because they just don't care. They simply ignore the things that don't fit their agenda. It's a way to portray Daemon as completely black, incapable of love, and Rhaenyra as someone unloved/unlovable.

Sonic the Hedgehog #1: 5th Anniversary Edition is out now!
Marking the 5th anniversary of issue 1's original April 4th 2018 release, this book features a reprint of issue 1's story, as well as a new story called Familiar Territory, which reunites issue 1's creative team of writer Ian Flynn, artist Tracy Yardley, and colorist Matt Herms, as well as bonus behind the scenes features. Tyson Hesse's covers for the first 4 issues have been combined into a single gatefold cover (with the Online Exclusive being a foil version of said cover), while the original artists from the first 4 issues are among the ones providing variant covers.

NaNoWriMo 2022: Day 3
I got more writing done than I thought I would. I went to see family who lived pretty far away but I wrote while in the car on both ways up and back. I didn’t drive so that gave me time. Also wrote when I got up and when I got home. Unusually productive day. :)
Day 3 Word Count: 3,997 words

Excerpt:
I was stuck dreaming and pining after a woman I couldn't have. While walking the countryside, I had these elaborate fantasies where I offered her marriage. Sometimes these dreams were high fantasy like something out of one of Rosie's trashy novels. I'd duel Adelaide's future man for her hand. In some of these worlds, two women could marry and in others, I was a man so the gender question was a non issue. Sometimes, I had to travel a great distance on Bluebell to complete tasks. I was the female Hercules for her- no task was too arduous or demanding. If I would win my lady's heart and hand, there was nothing I wouldn't do.
At the end of my hero's journey, I'd kneel weary at her feet, laying my sword, gun, spear, or arrow and quiver- depending on the story- to let her know that my weapon and skill would ever be at her disposal. That was my oath to her. I'd serve her to my dying day. She need only to look into my eyes and see; take my lips in her own to taste the truth in my oath. Again, I'd awaken from another dream dissatisfied and agitated. I had become fixated on a girl who was fast on her way to becoming someone else's bride.
