I really despise the Marvelification of Stranger Things, because all the interviews nowadays are constantly referencing how fast paced and epic and big the finale will be but the reason people fell in love with the show wasn't special effects or long episodes; it was the plot, it was the characters, it was the mystery. Stranger Things 1 may have been a story about a government conspiracy and a monster, but that's not why we stuck around. The show can throw amazing CGI, Russians, a battle within the American army and an apocalypse at the audience with the biggest budget known to man but if they forget to ground it and keep it central, it'll just get lost amongst a plethora of other "epic" blockbusters. We want Steven King, not Avengers.

lmaooooo everybody gets to learn some film lingo today

well first an AC means Assistant Camera, and typically there’s 2ACS the 1st AC, who is in charge of the camera and focus pulling (making sure everything is in focus) and the 2nd AC who is the one holding/clapping the slate and they’re also doing battery and lenses changes and putting down marks during blocking etc.

now the AC belt is what the 2nd AC wears and it’s literally just a fanny pack with a shit ton more pockets lol. it has all the camera tapes, a flashlight, lenses tissue and a little air puffer thing, pens/markers, basically everything a 2nd AC will need so they don’t have to carry around the AC bag everywhere.

as for the FIC….well let’s just say you gotta tighten the belt pretty tight so it stays on considering all the stuff weighing it down…..so taking it off in a rush becomes a bit of an issue 👀

(reader and harry try for a quickie during lunch but he struggles to get the belt off while hard lmfao)
