The Original Trilogy re-imagined as young Tatooine farmgirl Leia Skywalker learns the ways of the Force from old Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and joins with smuggler Han Solo and his first mate Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon to rescue Prince Luke Organa of Alderaan from the clutches of the evil Sith Lord Darth Vader and the tyrannical Galactic Empire...

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away... STAR WARS: THE AGE OF REBELLION It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire on the planet of Scarif. During the battle, Rebel spies Cassian Andor and Jyn Erso managed to steal secret plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon, the DEATH STAR-- a space station with enough power to destroy an entire planet-- from an Imperial Citadel run by Director Orson Krennic, relaying them to a Rebel cruiser in orbit. Determined not to let the rebels escape, the Death Star obliterated the Citadel, and the Empire's sinister enforcer Darth Vader arrived to the aftermath of the battle in pursuit of the cruiser...

Imagine, if you will, a world where Obi Wan took the young Skywalker babies to their adoptive parents, but not the way round we're used to. So young Leia Skywalker grows up on Tattooine, aiding her Uncle and Aunt on their moisture farm. Meanwhile Luke Organa grows up on Alderaan, the young Prince beloved by his people, and already working out how he can use his innate flying skills to best serve the Rebellion his adoptive father helped start... So Leia trains to be the Jedi instead of Luke, which means that when it comes time to infiltrate Jabba's palace, things end up a little... flipped around,

Though the end result is the same for Jabba.

Anyways… AU where Luke and Obi-Wan both went with Bail and Obi-Wan goes by Ben and Bail and Breha insist Ben Organa has been their consort for years (right to very annoyed empire senators and one time, Vader himself) and he’s their children’s nanny too and no, he’s not a Jedi, he’s just good in bed, calm down.

Anyways. Luke and Leia are constantly wondering why their nanny is talked about all weird in court and they’re not supposed to mention him at all if they can, but they think it’s funny and want their parents to be happy, so, lol, okay.

Obi-Wan disappears once a year to visit one of the hidden temples where they hide Jedi artifacts and stuff and pairs up wandering Jedi (because wandering is the ONLY way they’ll ever be safe under empire rule) with force sensitive kiddos who want to join up, and then comes back to be with the family again.

Whumptober 2023 Day 9 - Star Wars

The Organas are forced to hold another party to ensure that they continue to toe the Imperial line. Unfortunately, there's a new guest tonight, one that's far too interested in their twelve-year-old son, Luke. No. 9: “Learning everything ain't what it seems, that's the thing about these days.” Polaroid | Mistaken Identity | “You're a liar.”

Luke stayed at the edges of the party as much as he could, clutching Artoo, who was in ermine form. It wasn’t a proper party, anyway; not one his parents wanted to put on. It was more like an excuse for the Imperials to come in and look under all the couch cushions for signs of Rebel activity. They wouldn’t find any. His papa, Bail, and his mama, Breha, were too good at hiding in plain sight.

“How are you doing, star flower?” Papa managed to disentangle himself from one of Luke’s Imperial cousins and drifted over to where Luke was standing. Papa’s daemon, a snowy owl, nuzzled Artoo’s nose, and Artoo purred. Luke smiled.

“I’m alright. How much longer, Papa?”

Papa sighed. “Not too much longer, I hope. Dinner is soon, and then perhaps I’ll be able to shuffle everyone off by claiming that it’s your bedtime.”

“I’m not that young!” Luke protested.

The Star Wars Original Trilogy is peak fiction because they took a fairy tale and set it in space, then they gave the princess in distress a GUN. But even better they gave her a sharp tongue and the power of revolution. They made the “dragon” a depressed cyborg father with asthma who doesn’t understand his own emotions and does murders because of it. And they made the knight a blond Barbie boy who attempts to solve problems with the power of love like he’s Sailor Moon or something.

And then they said, “oh yeah they’re all related btw. All the galaxy’s problems are this one family’s fault. Hope this helps 😘”
