RAAAHH this is what we would have gotten the kids to do #so I guess we're just too good at our jobs lol #that one LU post with the lads lined up with their bows? It's AWESOME #but I taught a bunch of kids archery this summer and none of the lads have the right posture lol #I'm walking up and down that line readjusting all of them ahsgdsdf #Imagine Wars going to Wind though like 'remember to pull back to your smile! :D '#and Wind just deadeye staring him down like you serious rn?#caught and removed a scorpion from the lake cabin biffy this summer - that was very exciting #calmed the campers down and put them to bed and then rolled up my sleeves and asked the program staff who was staying with us #for emotional support #her only experience with scorpions was from animal crossing so she was like 'get ready to run' and I'm- I think we'll be okay #anyways it's her perched on one of the toilets with a spray bottle of bleach and me with an empty tupperware from dinner #I caught it under the tupperware but IT MOVED THE TUPPERWARE #we drowned it in bleach and it like finally died but it took a while and then we flung it into the woods BYE BUGGY

Take the broken mask drawing as symbolism (?). A piece of him is now forever a part of Mask, and there's no taking that back.

There are many protrayals of Fierce Deity out there, but I like to think he ain't necessarily mean (quite the contrary), just a bit out of touch with how hylians work and feel. Fierce Deity deemed some things necessary for Mask's survival and well being, and not necessarily all of them were free of consequences. It was done with good intentions tho. If only he bothered to explain/tell Mask that...

LU Star Wars AU: Part 4

This time we got Twilight and Wild!

PART 1 | PART 2 | PART 3

Wild

Wild doesn't look very old, but he was actually a Jedi Knight in service to the Republic Army back during the Clone Wars. He worked closely with the other Champions at the time; the five of them were on a mission to protect King Rhoam and the royal family of a Mid-rim planet when Order 66 was enacted and the Republic Army turned on them. The other champions were killed, and Wild was nearly fatally injured.

In a last-ditch attempt to save his life, Rhoam and Impa used an industrial carbon-freezer to put him in a state of suspended animation and keep him hidden from any Imperial scanners. He was found and unfrozen many years later by Purah and Robbie, and the hibernation sickness on top of his injuries gave him some degree of amnesia.

0/10 experience, he would not recommend it.

Nowadays, he works closely with Purah and Robbie. Flora, who wasn't even born yet at the time of the incident, met him properly for the first time after he woke up again. They didn't get along at first, but after finding out she was Rhoam's daughter he's determined to stick by her side.

His old lightsaber is broken beyond repair, so he picked up a habit of collecting various weapons. He's also wanted by a group of bounty hunters known as the Yiga.

Twilight

Twilight is from a backwater planet in the Ordonian system, working as a rancher in a farming village. He met Midna when Zant came to the planet and forcibly tried to take over.

Long story short, the kids of his village went missing, and he ran across some of Zant's forces in a bad way. He actually came in contact with a dark Twili artifact that granted the user the ability to change shape and got stuck. Midna, being a shapeshifting Twili, bailed Twilight out of trouble and taught taught him how to change back, but to do that he had to learn the basics of the Force. (It took a while. He's not very good at it, but he can do the basics.)

In exchange for her help, Twilight helped her with her own goals along the way; eventually, he learns that the reason Zant showed up is because he followed Midna's trail there. With the help of some local Resistance members, they eventually even managed to get rid of Zant.

Somewhere along the way, Twilight and Midna followed a rumor of an old weapon hidden deep in the woods on the planet. Eager for any advantage they could get, Midna insisted they find it; they followed the trail until it eventually led them to an old intact lightsaber that had been deliberately hidden away there.

Midna left very suddenly after everything with Zant was over. Twilight decided to look out for her through his new friends in the Resistance, and eventually came in contact with other members of the Chain that way.

doing the missing Linktober Inktober prompts the crazy bonkers way with a SKY LINE UP

I picked and chose a few prompts not really caring to make it the right prompts for the days, and for the rest of the month I'm just gonna mix and match them (more like taking the day 29 prompts and using them tomorrow kind of mix and match)

A Princess of Sun and Song

On AO3 HERE Link walked quietly into the market of Castle Town. Music played cheerfully as people danced in the square, groups crowded in front of one stall or another, clamoring for sales and goods and gossip. Everything was bright and colorful and loud and Link quickly found themself overwhelmed.

Navi buzzed in front of them, vibrating with energy. “Hey, Listen! The Great Deku Tree wanted us to go to visit the princess at Hyrule Castle.... Shouldn't we get going?” Link nods and passes the crowds and the fountain and the dancing couple, only to stop when they spot someone small like them. They are reminded of Saria, with a delicate face and brightly colored hair, but instead of leaves of spring their hair is the color of autumn, the fire of fall. The fall sprite seems to spot them and smiles, and for a moment the chaos around them fades away and all they can see is sunshine.

“Hello there! Oh . . . you’re a fairy boy from the forest, aren’t you?” they say, and their voice is a melody. It’s all Link can do to give a small nod.

If possible the sprite smiles even brighter, an expression as sweet as honey. “My name is Malon.”

Link hears the song of Malon's voice once more but the fairy boy’s head is turning over the name, wondering if maybe this is the princess the Great Deku tree spoke of. The princess is wearing a dress and they are light and good, and a special magic seems to surround them, different from the normal magic of a Hylian.

“Are you going to the castle, fairy boy?”

Link nods and the princess beams at them, asking for help and they easily agree. Malon gives them an egg bigger than any from the forest and asks that they find their dad. If their dad is at the castle the image of fall in front of them must be royalty. Link wanders around out of the market shortly after at Navi’s pressing. He finds himself wandering back streets, dodging people and crates and the occasional stray dog. Soon night is falling and they head to the tall iron gates and the castle beyond.

The princess is here now, outside the castle gate, singing the sweetest song of freedom and sunshine and love and calling. It echoes in Links’ ears the way music often does, filled with the magic of its enchanter. He remembers when a bard had passed the forest once, all the Kokiri crowded by the forest tunnel, listening to the melodies and giggling quietly as they slowly faded away.

The princess’s song is filled with a similar magic, woven into the tune. It echoes against the cliffs and sounds slightly mournful in the night, with a promise at the end to tie it together. It is not a song for the twilight but for sunny fields and long summer days, calling out to a dear friend to join in.

The princess smiles at the fairy boy, and Link hides their face. Navi flutters around them, reminding Link that the castle is still ahead, still out of reach. The vines beside the princess grab their attention and they climb up the cliff wall, hands breaking loose gravel and stone but the vines standing strong. Link pulls themself to the top and stares out at the stone bridge and the rising towers, and makes their way forward. Malon’s voice echoes behind them.

Link learns that Malon is not the princess. The princess is small and thin, with hair the color of the pampas grass in the winter. The princess is wrapped in divinity, eyes shining with knowledge beyond her age. She does not sing sweetly or pour magic into her voice like the bards do, but she gives him a magic song that is a treasure, and he holds it close. Still, Link often thinks of the autumn spirit they met in the square, a princess of sun and song. When he is suddenly too old and too small and not in the right body, he finds himself in a ranch with a familiar girl with hair the color of autumn fire, and she teaches him a song of love and sunshine and freedom and calling. And when the world is safe from the darkness, he finds himself visiting his princess again and again and falling in love with the way she smiles and the sweetness in her voice and the magic in her song.
